A {$150.00} prepaid XXXX was issued from XXXX XXXX for signing on as a new customer in about XXXX XXXX. The card indicates it was issued from XXXX. The card was not used and shows an expiration date of XXXX. When the card was attempted to be used in early XXXX XXXX, it was denied as expired. I called the phone number on the card XXXX. They said that they no longer handle this card and referred me to XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX told me that it was true that they no longer work with XXXX, but that that there was nothing they could do, and that I had to work with XXXX. I found an e-mail address for XXXX - XXXXXXXXXXXX who I e-mailed the situation. They replied with a different phone number to call XXXX. I called that number, and based on the card number was referred back to the original number on the card referring to them as " Young America ''. The contact at XXXX said that it is called a sweep card and that at expiration all of the funds are removed from the card. I could not get an explanation of where the funds go. In another conversation with the original number listed on the card, I was again told that they " no longer work with XXXX XXXX, and that they transferred all of the information back to them '' Bottom line is that someone has the {$150.00} and it is not me.

This complaint deals specifically with false and abusive practices by XXXX XXXX ' rebate process, which is handled by a company called " Young America , LLC. '' My rebate was submitted XXXX XXXX ( see screenshots ). Even though the confirmation says " allow up to 8 weeks from submission to receive your rebate '' it 's been almost 18 weeks at this point. I 've called them half a dozen times ( typically every 2 weeks ) but I 'm told that the representative ca n't do anything to help and that I should 'just wait another 2 weeks. All of this, despite multiple reps stating very clearly that I had submitted everything correctly with all required documentation and one representative even stating that a check will be sent out and I would receive it within 5-7 business days. They have neglected to call me back when promised and have yet to make good on the original terms of the rebate agreements. I feel I 'm at a loss as to what to do about this. It 's unfair, it 's deceptive, and it 's abusive. I 've spent hours on the phone with them for something I should have received months ago.

A company by the name of Young America, a facilitator of rewards cards for XXXX has refused to honor the {$100.00} reward card owed me since XXXX XXXX. After numerous calls, they refuse to activate and give me the {$100.00} gift card that was part of my XXXX 12-month contract deal. Young America 's address is XXXX, MN XXXX. PHONE : XXXX Managers : XXXX, and XXXX. My XXXX account number is XXXX. My name and address is XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NV XXXX. XXXX, XXXX ( CELL ). I believe that Young America is committing fraud. They refuse to activate the card for 4 months and they keep giving me the runaround. At one point, 2 weeks ago they asked me to wait 5 weeks which is a total of 5 months for a card that had to be send in 4-6 weeks.

Hi, I received a prepaid card for {$240.00} on or around XXXX/XXXX/16 as a rebate on a promotion. I 've used the card a few times over the year, and when I recently tried to check the balance, I was told that the card was only valid for one year and all remaining funds had been removed from the card. I understand companies needing to charge a maintenance fee if the card has been open for a long time, but to remove all remaining funds from the card after less than a year seems a bit extreme.

I have a reward/prepaid card from Toshiba that was issued to me after purchasing a laptop. The card expired XXXX and was not used. It had a full {$50.00} rebate on it. I called the number on the card, XXXX and was informed that they are unable to issue another card and no further assistance was available. I did reach out to XXXX Bank, the issuer but they could not help me either.
