Hello, I wanted to reach out in regard to the Ygrene ( PACE ) financing program. Our project has been unfished since XXXX of XX/XX/XXXX. After several attempts to have the contractor finish the project, Ygrene has decided to simply close our case and have us homeowners deal with Ygrenes approved contractor and start repayment for an unfished project ( XXXX ). For the past month ( since we received our taxes for this year and the PACE loan shows in it ) we have attempted to have Ygrene issue a Tax correction. Unfortunately, Ygrene is unwilling to do so, has closed the case and will not put anyone on the phone when we call to speak to someone. At this moment for the past month, we have been able to speak to 3 different representatives that puts us on hold ( calls lasting over 3hrs ), transfer us to non-voicemail lines forcing us to start the call over and tell us the case will be reopened and someone will get back to us ( this has been the scheme of the previous 2 calls ). As homeowners, we are truly concerned with Ygrene practices. We still fail to comprehend how a financial institution has the right to issue payment by voiding someones signature and has the right to deny homeowners an explanation and a solution. We are simply asking Ygrene to honor our contract agreement, to have the Ygrenes approved contractor complete our project to our satisfaction and start payment after a year of true project date of completion. In the meantime, due to Ygrenes negligence of final payment release we are asking Ygrene to issue a Tax correction to the XXXX XXXX XXXX Appraiser/Tax Collectors office and not submit another claim until our project has been fully completed and our signature is collected as proof of satisfactory completion. Ygrene issued full payment to contractor on XX/XX/2021 after someone internally Voided our Signature from a DocuSign even though we had a case open and had been in communications with Ygrene since XX/XX/XXXX when Statewide came to our home to install windows ( raw installation as at that time there were no screens, no window covers and no city inspection ). Statewide had us signed a document stating that phase 1 of their project was completed ( windows were placed in openings ) and a punch list of items was pending for Phase 2 ( windows could not be covered as they needed to pass inspection. Inspector needed to see bolts and nails ). Unfortunately, Ygrenes employee failed to check the case notes, failed to get approval from us homeowners ( that project was finished to our satisfaction ) and released payment to a job that was not completed. Timeline : XX/XX/2021 : Email received from Ygrene requesting authorization for final payment to contractor ( " signature request '' via DocuSign ) XX/XX/2021 : Homeowner placed call to Ygrene to stop payment process due to unfinished project. During phone call list of punch items was discussed along with document signed for contractor containing these items. Representative was to follow up the following week to see if project had been finalized. During phone call, Ygrene representative stated Ygrene would not issue final payment until Phase 2 of project was satisfactorily completed. XX/XX/2021 : Email of " Voided '' Signature Request '' received. Funds released to contractor by Ygrene representative. XX/XX/2021 : Phone call and email sent to Ygrene questioning email received and requesting an explanation as to why signatures were voided, case notes ignored ( from XX/XX/2021 phone call ), no final inspection provided and funds released. As homeowners it never crossed our minds Ygrene had the authority to Void our signatures, deny and fail to provide final inspection and release final payment to an ongoing project. A year later, we are still waiting for contractor to finalize window installation. Per contractor, due to employee 's negligence pieces of our custom windows were damaged and needed to be replaced. Statewide ( contractor ) sent different people with pieces of items missing ( one piece here and there ) always claiming shipment was lost, misplaced and new custom parts needed to be ordered again ( manufacturer in XXXX ). XXXX XXXX, Escalation specialist from Ygrene who has been following up complaint since XXXX ( complaint XXXX ) decided to close the case on XXXX after a phone call was placed to Ygrene on XXXX to request Tax Correction. During the call of XXXX, Ygrenes representative terminated 3hr call by sending me to a XXXX XXXX voicemail that was never picked up and with the promise XXXX XXXX and his supervisor would take a look at the case and give me a call back. Unfortunately, on XXXX after failing to contact us homeowners, XXXX XXXX sent us an email with the following statement Ygrene acknowledges that this is a frustrating situation for you. Please be advised that matters related to construction and installation are addressed in the Certificate of Completion and must be handled directly with the installer in accordance with the agreement. Ygrene can refer you to the State of Floridas XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ). They are set up to answer consumer questions about past and present activities of licensed contractors and may be able to advise you on your specific situation. They can be reached at XXXX or online at http : //XXXX/. Dealing with the XXXX might take us months or years, especially if this case needs to be escalated to court. We request Ygrene to honor their outlined consumer protection promises and at a minimum issue the Tax Correction along with a promise to not submit another one again until project has been completed, an onsite inspection has been provided and owners satisfaction with signature is obtained. Consumer Protection list Ygrene promised and has breached : As the financing company, we want every customer to have a stellar experience with the contractor they choose. Ygrene will always be willing to help facilitate communication between the customer and the contractor theyve chosen to work with. We're also selective about which contractors can offer our financing. We review every contractor who offers our products, and help you resolve any issues that come up with them. Your contractor will not receive final payment until you've signed off that your project has been completed to your satisfaction. Final payment isn't released to the contractor until you sign off that the work has been completed to your satisfaction. ( On-site inspection provided, if required. ), We trusted Ygrene and the PACE program with the finance of our storm protection project, expecting Ygrene to function as a financing company while providing top of the line consumer protection. Unfortunately, everything that we have experienced with Ygrene has been the opposite of what was initially promised. I am contacting the agency for help ; this issue involves me, my family having to pay out of pocket and possibly losing my home as a result of the deception that occurred. The companies involved : 1. Ygrene XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX In XXXX of XXXX my AC went out and I chose to use the XXXX program to replace the unit - this involved contacting XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX then contracted-out my request to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The latter contacted me to set an appointment to come to my property to do an assessment of the AC problem. While waiting for the appointment time I contacted Ygrene- this is the company I chose to use to execute the XXXX program access. Ygrene conducted a property value assessment to determine if I had the available credit to pay for the AC replacement. Ygrene completed their process in about XXXX minutes while I waited on the phone with their agent. I was approved for a maximum amount of {$10000.00}. I understood that I didnt have to use the total amount I was approved for and I DID NOT want to use the total amount I was approved for. Ygrene provided me with a project contract number to provide to my contractor. XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX sent their rep to my property and determined that my AC was broken. The rep recommended that I replace the unit AND the blower ( the blower WAS NOT broken ) The rep asked how I would pay, I told him I was using XXXX and the company, YGRENE, was the company processing payment. I gave the agent the project contract number and he called Ygrene to confirm. Conveniently once the [ XXXX XXXX ] confirmed payment approval, the cost to replace my unit was {$10000.00}. I initially declined their offer and demanded more products for the {$10000.00}. The final agreement for service included ; 1. An AC unit 2. A blower 3. Attic insulation 4. Duct sealant. 5. Labor It took XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX weeks to complete the work. Once they were done the city had to check their work and give final approval. The city came out for inspection and I was present for the inspection. The city FAILED the inspection ; the reason, wrong fuse placement. XXXX XXXX had to come back out to correct the problem and reschedule a city inspection. The company failed to do both. I kept getting phone calls from YGRENE to sign off on the promissory note for payment. I kept declining to sign the document because the city did not approve the installation. City approval is needed to complete the loan process under XXXX. Phone calls continued - XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX continued to call asking me to sign-off on the project installation documents and YGRENE continued to call asking me to sign the promissory note. Neither company cared about the city inspection or getting the correction completed. On every phone call I kept asking for the correction to be done and rescheduling the city inspection. NONE of these things happened. At the end of XXXX months of phone calls, YGRENE went bankrupt and declined to honor the contract approval they gave me. Consequently XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX did not get paid. Subsequently, XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX began to demand {$10000.00} payment directly from me : 1. that was not our agreement 2. XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX still did not make the corrections required by the city and did not reschedule the city inspection. 3. The initial contract we made was not executed as agreed and as a result all parties involved did not get what they expected. A side note : The approval process YGRENE used to finalize my loans have place me in a significant financial setback and compromised the available equity I have in my primary property ; The company elevated my property 's value in XXXX previous loan requests. Elevating the propertys value subsequently has lead to my required escrow payment exceeding my monthly ability to successfully pay the loan payments. YGRENE used XXXX program criteria to approve my loans. Combining the unrelenting forces of inflation with the fraudulently configured loans by XXXX XXXX now having a difficult time paying my mortgage and escrow payments. XXXX XXXX XXXX need help.

In XXXX, XXXX, I agreed to purchase solar panels, financed through Ygrene Energy and XXXX. I was told that purchase was more advantageous than lease, because the payments were tax deductible and that the loan was fully assumable by anyone purchasing my property. The new owner would not need to qualify and could simply assume the loan. These representations were false. No lender will allow the home to be sold with a XXXX lien and a new buyer is under no obligation to assume the loan, which required that I pay it off. In addition to the misrepresentations regarding assumability of the loan, I learned that the loan is not, in fact, entirely tax deductible. Only a small portion is deductible. The amount financed was {$29000.00}. The amount demanded to pay off the loan was {$36000.00} after approximately {$12000.00} of payments. Ygrene provided a payoff that included prospective, unearned interest payments for taxes not yet even billed or due for XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX. They refused to prorate.The XXXX XXXX reps, on behalf of Ygrene Energy, refused to correct this. When I threatened legal action, a Ygrene rep, XXXX XXXX, contacted me and reissued a corrected payoff without the XXXX payment. However, their new payoff expired on XX/XX/XXXX and my close of escrow was XXXX so they tacked on an additional {$3100.00} in unearned interest payments. The payoff also included a discretionary redemption fee that " may '' be assessed, which they refused to remove. In addition, the solar panels malfunctioned within the first six months of installation. In XXXX I received a $ XXXX year end statement from XXXX. I called to question the amount and was told this was my share of cost. I was not told there was a failure to transmit energy. When I received a XXXX year end statement for {$3300.00}, I spoke to a supervisor at XXXX who said the panels had not transmitted any energy for 18 months from XXXX, XXXX through XXXX, XXXX when the inverter spontaneously began transmitting energy. I contacted XXXX and spoke to XXXX XXXX, a representative who is no longer at XXXX XXXX. She told me their records showed no ramp down or ramp up, which would occur if the panels were turned off, but she could not explain why there was a failure of their equipment to transmit energy. The panels were never turned off and the electrical box showed constantly changing numbers whenever I passed it. However, the inverter had failed to transmit energy for 18 months. A rep from XXXX and the installer met at my home to inspect the equipment. No one could explain the loss of data for 18 months, but the conclusion was that the inverter had failed. I made a demand under the XXXX warranty. XXXX has consistently failed and refused to respond to my correspondence since XXXX XXXX left. They have refused to provide the name of an underwriter or warranty company to which I can submit a claim. The system is under warranty for ten years and it failed within the first six months. I have lost {$4000.00} in energy credits as a result of defective equipment. Although there is no guaranteed output amount, this system failed to produce ANY energy or failed to transmit energy for 18 months. I am XXXX years old and currently unemployed due to CoVid. I have lost the following : . XXXX - in lost energy credits due to defective equipment {$36000.00}. - for a loan that was not assumable and a system that malfunctioned {$12000.00} - approx - in payments on a malfunctioning system

She asked me my opinion about Solar Panels. I told her I do not know much about them ; but if the Panels really decrease the electric bill then I guess they are ok. - I also told her that if she gets them that's her project. I can not afford to help pay for them. - On my USPS.com app. I noticed a weird letter envelope from a Company I did not know about. I asked my sister " Why were our names are on this strange Envelope? '' I told her I want to read it after she's done. She avoided my request 3 times and never got to read the letter in this strange envelope. [ Refer to Attachment Envelope. ] - On XX/XX/2020. I wrote to Ygrene Company. Told them I did not : Recognize, nor have any business relations, and did NOT SIGN ANYTHING with this Company. I requested if any documents that had my signature on them to email them as an attachment to my email address. - Remove my name from what ever. I told this company I do not get involved in my sisters affairs, and told them this matter must be between you two. [ Refer to my letter 2 Attachments ] - XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX Ygrene emailed me a letter attachment.. States ; " Addressed to the Owners of the Property. As a Reminder, the financing is tied to the Property only, instead of the Individuals, and is repaid over the financing term through the property taxes. '' Also stated Property was .removed off mailing list. No it as not been removed from the mailing list. - NOTE- NO COPY OF CONTRACT SENT, AVOIDS ANY ACKNOWEGEMENT ANY SIGNED DOCUMENTS WITH MY SIGNATURE ON THEM. - Sister 's Trusts Litigation Confirms that we as sisters had Accepted a Settlement Agreement to not repay Trusts amounts with money but settled this matter accepting one half of property value/worth to be gifted to me and son from my sister. DA closed the Trust Case. - I DID NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACT FOR A XXXX LOAN ; AND WAS NOT SERVED WITH ANY SIGNED DOCUMENTS WITHIN THE LEGAL TIME TO HAVE DELIVERY TO CONSUMERS. - BOTH ENITIES ARE AVAIDING CRUCIAL ANSWERS TO MY LEGAL CONCERNS THAT FORGERY AND THIS LENDER IS A PREDATORY LENDER IS A GREAT POSSIBILTY I AM CORRECT.

Address : XXXX, CA XXXX Phone : ( XXXX ) XXXX I paid off my Ygrene loan early in XX/XX/XXXX and was promised XXXX refunds ; a reimbursement for the pre-payment penalty ( which I did receive ) and a reimbursement for the interest paid through XXXX which I did not receive. The interest for my loan in XXXX alone was more than {$2000.00}. I have received only the run around from Ygrene for the last 6 months about this interest reimbursement. I also filed a complaint with the California office of the XXXX ( Complaint ID:XXXX ) Phone : ( XXXX ) XXXX, on XX/XX/XXXX but Ygrene after XXXX nonsense response, never complied with them either I spoke multiple times with Ygrene representative XXXX XXXX . ( her e-mail is XXXX ) explaining that Ygrene required according to their " payoff quote '' of XX/XX/XXXX ( which I have, and can forward to you ) to pay interest on a loan through XX/XX/XXXX even though they received a 100 % payoff in XXXX. She confirmed that she had that document including it with her last e-mail to me ( which I have and can forward to you ). Consequently I proved to her that Ygrene owes me a refund of the interest for XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. She promised to forward this complaint to yet another Ygrene representative and after that I have heard nothing back from her or anyone else. Please note that this complaint is now approaching 6 months!!. It defies both logic and fairness that anyone pay interest AFTER a loan is completely paid off but that is Ygrene 's position. By the way, I also paid off my auto and home in XXXX and they also ESTIMATED the excess interest on their loan payouts and after the loan was closed, I received a refund on the excess interest paid ) Please help me recover this interest and teach Ygrene that they can not behave this way with consumers!!

Ygrene is a authorized lender for the PACE program in California. I believe that my wife and I are victims of predatory lending from Ygrene. We are trying to pay off this loan but have been notified by Ygrene that our pay off is more then our original lien amount. I believe that Ygrene solicited us knowing we were people with poor financial literacy. Ygrene did not provide a clear breakdown of all fees. Ygrene is, and has added excessive and/or unnecessary fees. Ygrene is charging a high prepayment penalty that was not properly disclosed. It seems to me that Ygrene is requiring a balloon payment to close the loan. Ygrene, in my opinion, is the very definition of a predatory lender. Estimated payoff amount as of XX/XX/XXXX {>= $1,000,000}. Original Lien Amount {$19000.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. Estimated principal balance as of XX/XX/XXXX {$16000.00}. Estimated amount paid to Ygrene as of XX/XX/XXXX {$8000.00}. I have spoken to Ygrene about these issues but Ygrene will not back off the fees of {$2100.00} estimated current your tax assessment ( almost 2X what it normally would be if we just continued making payments ), {$500.00} estimated prepayment premium, and {$160.00} estimated payoff processing fee. The loan started with excessive fees my wife and I were unaware of like {$50.00} application fee, {$250.00} processing & underwriting fee, {$250.00} recording & disbursement fee, {$100.00} jurisdiction cost recovery fee, {$180.00} title & escrow fee, {$50.00} energy audit fee, and a {$500.00} origination fee. There is a class action law suit against Ygrene, and I have notified my AG of the alleged predatory lending. Documents are available upon request.

i feel like i was tricked and preyed upon I never knew nor gave permission to run my credit. my credit is how they charge their interest rate on my credit rating in which they knew wasnt qualified for it but saw the equity in home. i am XXXX years why would i sign a 30 year loan A lot of the information was hidden from me the contract was done over the phone ygrene sent paperwork to my grandaughter email because i am illiterate and dont really understand english to understand all the terms are buried in FinePrint then I never signed the contract to this day. i wasnt told that i would pay them with property taxes and that they were putting a lien on my home. These people make you use their contractors, which I wouldn't have an issue with ... except they all quoted me 3x higher than 3 separate local contractors.. It's sad that they take a clean energy situation and turn it into predatory lending to take advantage of consumers Excessive program fees, the program is represented as an assessment that is paid like taxes which made my mortgage go up so much that I can not afford my home anymore they charged application fees processing fee underwriting fee jurisdiction recovery fee??? recording fee disbursement fee title fee escrow fee energy audit fee origination fee bond trustee fee now i have a lien on my house for {$80000.00} i need this to be investigated i want them to stop going into my escrow

On or around XXXX of XXXX, I was contacted on line by a representative of Ygrene. They told me I could make badly needed improvements to my home, and have the cost of the improvements paid over time through my property taxes. The connected me with one of their contractors who gave me a quote. Ygrene stated they would pay the contractors {$6800.00} and i would then have a lien on my property for that amount. They told me i could refinance at will without having to pay the lien as it would subordinate to any lender and, that i could also pay the lien off at any time without penalty. In XXXX of XXXX, i started a refinance and was told by my lender that the lienYgrene established would not be subordinated and that i had to pay it off. I asked for a payoff quote and was charged {$25.00}. on the payoff quote, i was told i was getting a 5 % prepayment penalty to pay off my lien and, more importantly, the payoff quote shows an original loan significantly higher than the contract amount, for a total of {$8000.00}. They refused to waive the prepayment penalty, refused to explain why my lien amount is higher than the signed contract amount so now i have to pay extra just to get out of this horrible situation.

Loan was with XXXX - established loan XX/XX/ in the amount of {$40000.00} with total program fees of {$2200.00} Total Interest {$1000.00} - Total Special Tax Assessment in the amount of $ XXXX.- When the loan was offered to me, I was told that the loan was on the house and that I would not be responsible for the loan when and if I sold the house. I recently started to consider to sell the house and move to another location. Our Realtor told me that there is a Tax Lien on the house and that I would have to pay off the loan if I wanted to sell the house. The only reason that I considered taking the loan is because I knew that I would be selling the house within the first 5 years of living in it. We are going into the 5th year of living here in the house. I am extremely upset with myself because I was mislead about the loan conditions. I will be XXXX years old next month and find myself in a predicament of not being able to sell my house. I have been doing some research since I found out about the conditions and was told that this is considered to be a PACE loan, which was never explained to me as to what that meant. I need some help on taking care of what I feel was a fraudulent representation from XXXX.

My husband and I were interested in having solar panels added to our home. I contacted Ygrene three times and spoke with three different people about getting funding for this project. All three people told me the amount we qualify for is dependent on the equity in our home ( which is currently about {$40000.00} ). We were advised three times to have an appraisal conducted. We had the appraisal conducted, which cost {$280.00}. When I made the fourth call to find out how to send them a copy of the appraisal and a copy of the written solar installation proposal, I spoke to yet another person. She told me funding is based on the amount of equity UP TO A LIMIT OF 10 % OF THE HOME VALUE. For us, this is only {$12000.00}, which is not enough to complete the project. Had I been told this previously, I would not have spent the money to get the appraisal done as I would have known it would not be enough funding. Additionally, Ygrene 's website states, " Approval based on home equity and ability to pay, '' and " Approval based on home equity. '' Nowhere in the website is a limit of 10 % of home value discussed. Ygrene 's advertising and even their agents are deceptive.

My name is XXXX XXXX and I am the Successor Trustee of the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX of XXXX XXXX, deceased. XXXX XXXX contracted with a XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX to perform several projects at her home that were never done. XXXX was securing funds from a company called XXXX. The project file numbers with YGRENE # XXXX and XXXX. The XXXX projects total approximate $ XXXX and a special tax lien has been placed on the property. In researching the situation none of the repairs were done. I contacted XXXX asking for help in resolving the problem and was told that I needed to speak with the XXXX. I ask them to contact the XXXX with me on the phone. They couldn't and neither could I. Then they told me to get a copies of permits pulled to do the work from the city. I contacted the City of XXXX and was advised there were no permits pulled. I then asked for copies of the checks where the contractor was paid. They refused. in doing additional research I found that this is not uncommon for XXXX and that many customers have been scammed by this program. I have multiple emails and additional information available upon request.

I was consulted to apply for a home energy loan through Ygrene and later discovered there are no early pay off options, extremely high interest rate, lein on my home, inability to refinance or sell property until loan is paid off in full. They require me to pay all interest first over the entire course of the loan and I was unable to sell my house when market was high and was unable to refinance when interest rates were low. The solar company that urged me into accepting this program insisted that the entire monthly dues would also act as a complete write off on taxes and that it was better to accept the longest term offered. The full amount is not available to write off and Ive reached out after several other issues with this solar company ( XXXX XXXX ) about this issue and no response. Ive reached out to Ygrene and they gave me a pay off amount of the entire initial loan amount after 6 years! ..out of 15. There is a lawsuit ongoing against Ygrene by FTC and I have signed the paper and mailed back but I havent heard back from them or know what is going on but I need the lien lifted and to be made whole again. Received two pace loans from ygrene. When sold house took a week to get payoff which showed up 15 mins before closing and they would not answer the phone. They overcharged me over XXXX as to what everyone calculated. They are charging interest until XX/XX/XXXX even though being paid off today XX/XX/XXXX. And added fees not expected. When I received loan was told it was like any other simple interest loan that can be paid off at any time with no penalty. Now they are saying it amortized Annual and I still have to pay the payment due on taxes XX/XX/XXXX ... which is not what the put on the payoff. They put XX/XX/XXXX ... They also have in the last year been very deceptive on other items that did not match what was told to me. Also told the interest added to the amount burrowed upfront was to pre pay the interest until first payment due XX/XX/XXXX. But in payoff never gave me credit for it. Also told first payment due XX/XX/XXXX but billed my mortgage co in XX/XX/XXXX and was paid so should be less interest since XXXX was paid 5 months early. And they are doing this to a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX veteran.

I'm being charged by Ygrene / XXXX XXXX, for work that was not done. No doors were ever installed on my property but I'm being billed for them and YGrene ( XXXX XXXX ) refuses to remove these items from my billing. I'm also being billed for 2 canceled contracts Ygrene contract # XXXX was not completed. Their contractor ( XXXX XXXX ) did not make me aware that the work was incomplete at the time he requested final approval for payment. No doors were ever installed. This was confirmed by the contractor himself, documented by their Ygrene representative and submitted for correction. However Ygrene refuses to correct this billing, siting time lapse. Also, charges for the two contracts XXXX and XXXX were cancelled and should be completely removed from my bill.

Ygrene Financial is a Petitory Lender, it's associated Business Company named XXXX XXXX XXXX Authority- It's Representive FORGED my Name on a home improvement Solar Panels Financial Contract without my knowledge and I am the 2nd property owner.. After I read Ygrene 's Attorney letter, most of her statements were untrue. I offered a buy out of my half of this property deed for $ XXXX due to Ygrene 's Fraudulent behavior and Forging my name. If Ygrene does not negotiate this buy out, then I will have to pursue the Fraud and Forgery of my name. I am asking that if CFPB could advise me if Ygrene does not negotiate this buy out. The company that provided service did not finish and what they did was not followed according to trademark product to make it a solar product. I dont know if they even used it to be honest, so created a bigger expense for me-so lt failed! I also did not know that there would be a lien on my house. I tried and tried to resolve with company that did job, but they kept giving me the run around. I called ygrene to let them know situation and they said they cant help me.

i received a XXXX XXXX loan to replace my windows. It was a {$6400.00} loan, to be paid back over time, through my property taxes. 5 years later, i went to pay the loan off and they charged me from a demand statement, and when i received it, it was for significantly more than the original loan amount and, they charged a 5 % prepayment penalty and a redemption fee. They never explained why the balance went up even though it was being repaid on time for 5 years.
