I received a letter in the mail from a law firm stating they were trying to collect a debt from me. I did not owe any monies to the company who they listed. I called the original creditor and they also told me I do not have any outstanding balances with them and that they have never heard of this law firm. They do not use this law firm ( or any ) to collect debts because of HIPAA laws. I have attached the letter I received in the mail and a copy of my original receipt from the original creditor.
