Good day, The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority ( WHEDA ) is proceeding with a hearing to confirm a foreclosure sale for a client I represent. The mortgage may be federally backed, but we haven't yet been able to ascertain that. The borrower submitted an application for the Wisconsin Help for Homeowners Program ( HAF ) on XX/XX/2022. His HAF application case manager sent a Verification of Mortgage Request on XX/XX/2022. The sheriff 's sale occurred around the same time. WHEDA claims the VOM was sent for the wrong mortgage, but the application only shows one loan and it's a WHEDA loan for the address WHEDA has on file for the borrower and his mortgage. WHEDA has since moved forward with the foreclosure and is refusing to adjourn the hearing to confirm the sale, despite the fact that HAF funds are available, the HAF application is pending and the applicant will be approved for funding, so long as WHEDA participates in the process and acknowledges the Verification of Mortgage already sent to them. WHEDA 's attorney is mistakenly claiming that they do not have to stop the foreclosure because the HAF application was not received 37 days prior to the sheriff 's sale. I disputed this information as inaccurate account status on 4 separate occasions directly with the XXXX and XXXX credit bureaus. Each time the investigation returned with account status unchanged based on reason that information is verified as accurate. Creditor Wisconsin Housing & Economic Development Authority FHA Mortgage {$110000.00} and Conventional Mortgage {$3500.00} The creditor and the credit bureau both incorrectly report these accounts as 1 ) closed and 2 ) discharged in bankruptcy and 3 ) delinquent payment history from XX/XX/XXXX to present. In XX/XX/XXXX I obtained an approved federal forebearance on my mortgage loans with WHEDA this forebearance is still in effect until at least XX/XX/XXXX. Please remove the inaccuracies from my credit files. The accounts are not closed accounts but are open in deferred payment status. Thank you.
