I initially began using Koalafi in XX/XX/2022, and have had countless problems with them. I needed major car repairs totaling {$910.00} on XX/XX/2022. Since I couldnt afford the total out of pocket, I was recommended to use Koalafi as a financing option because they have both XXXX and 24 month lease options. When I initially filled out the online application, I specifically selected a 24 month lease option with a single monthly payment of {$82.00} on the XXXX of every month. When I received my loan documents, I signed the document for a 24 month lease option with an approved monthly amount of {$82.00}. On XX/XX/2022, Koalafi auto drafted my account for {$82.00} which is the approved amount. On XX/XX/2022 I received a notification from my bank stating that Koalafi was trying to auto draft another payment of {$82.00}. I immediately put a stop payment on this charge, as it was unauthorized, and proceeded to put an alert on my bank account to not allow any payments to be taken from the account by Koalafi as I would be calling in the payment monthly. As soon as I corrected things with my bank, I contacted the customer service department at Koalafi to find out why they were auto drafting an additional payment. When I had the customer service rep pull up my account and contract, they informed me that my lease option was for XXXX months at XXXX payments a month and not for XXXX. I obviously refuted this because that was NEVER the lease option that I signed. When I tried explaining this to the first person I spoke to, they simply kept telling me that I signed a XXXX month agreement and that there was nothing that could be done to change it. I proceeded to tell them that I NEVER signed a XXXX month agreement and that I would NEVER sign an agreement for XXXX months as I simply cant afford {$160.00} a month. I continued to ask how and why my lease option was changed without my knowledge or approval, and the representative just kept reading whatever agreement he had in from on him. I then requested to speak to a supervisor or someone that could help me cancel whatever XXXX month agreement they had me on and put me back on the initial XXXX month agreement I had originally signed. He then transferred me to a supervisor, XXXX, who simply just kept reading the incorrect agreement and stating there was nothing he could do. He told me that only the auto repair service provider is allowed to request changes to a contract and that I needed to have them contact Koalafi Business directly. After I spoke to XXXX, I immediately called my auto repair provider and informed them of the situation. XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX called Koalafi Business that same day and informed me they told him that I, the customer, am the only person allowed to request changes. The next day, XX/XX/2022, I called Koalafi back to let them know that my service provider called to request a change back to my original lease term of 24 months, and the second representative proceeded to tell me that XXXX XXXX is not able to make those changes, only the customer can request that. I then proceeded to request a cancellation of the XXXX month lease so that I could resign a XXXX month lease option and the representative said they arent allowed to do that. I then asked to speak with someone who can authorize a contract change and the representative proceeded to tell me that Koalafi cant do it. I then asked to speak a manager or supervisor that can assist in changing my contract and they transferred me back to XXXX who proceeded to tell me the exact same things as he did the day prior. XXXX also informed me that he would put in a request to have a case manager review my file and they would call me in XXXX business days. THEY NEVER CALLED. I called Koalafi AGAIN on XX/XX/2022 to follow up on the case as I never received a call from any case manager or anything. The initial representative, XXXX, I spoke to on the phone informed me that a case manager supposedly looked into my account and determined that I could not change my lease terms. I then proceeded to ask how and why my lease got changed in the first place and, like the other reps, XXXX had nothing to say except that I had signed a XXXX month lease term, which I NEVER actually signed. When I asked why a case a manager never called me, he had no answer. First he told me that the case manage cant make lease changes. Then he told me that if they deem it necessary that they can change the contract, yet my total of {$910.00} didnt qualify for the XXXX month lease option to begin with even though it completely did as that is what I signed the initial contract for. It became clear in that moment that I was getting the run around and that no one was willing to help me. I then asked to be transferred to a supervisor or manager that could assist me as I know contracts can be cancelled and reformulated fairly easily. XXXX transferred to me XXXX who simply kept telling me to send in the originally lease document and that, after review, they could make changes. I told XXXX that I would send the document if I could find it, and I requested documentation that my account was not in default and that my standing with the credit agencies is fine. He informed me that even if they receive the document, they may not be able to make changes. Obviously he was contradicting himself in his own statement and I called him out on that. I proceeded to ask him if there could have been a technical or human error and he said This company doesnt make errors like that. I told him its clear that they do because my contract was changed without me knowing and without my authorization. I asked to speak to a supervisor/manager above him than COULD make changes, and he said there was nothing he could do and he hung up on me. I immediately searched my email for the document, and it is no where to be found in my file. The only emails I have on file are those that state my payment is late and that Im being sent to collections. Since Koalafi refused to help me, I informed them that I would be getting the XXXX involved. I also informed them that it is not a matter of willingness to pay. I am fully willing to pay off the lease, but I can only do it over XXXX months at {$82.00} per month. Being that Koalafi is unwilling to help and that they hung up on me, I have no other choice but to file a complaint with the XXXX. The outcome Id like to see is correction of the lease from XXXX to XXXX months, and ZERO hits on my credit. If there are any credit issues from Koalafi, they need to resolve them so that my credit remains in good standing. Clearly this company is not in the business of customer service.

On XX/XX/XXXX I purchased a sofa at XXXX XXXX XXXX a furniture store near my house and a got a line of credit with WestCreek to finance the sofa. West Creek had a program that you are not charged a lot of interest if agree to pay the total amount of your purchase within 100 days and you decide how you going to pay off the total amount {$1000.00} in my case. But again, you decide if you are going to pay in 3 or 2 payments, or at once as long as you pay within 100 days. I decide that I was going to make two payments of {$500.00} on XX/XX/XXXX and another on XX/XX/XXXX. The 100 days period was going to end on XX/XX/XXXX but in the middle of XXXX my place of employment closed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and they let me go with the promise that they would probably take me back once things go back to normal. Well, I lost my job and my income. So, I decide to call WestCreek to let them know I had lost my income and that because of that I would not be able to make my final payment on the XXXX of XXXX like we had agreed. The representative told me that they would not withdraw the {$500.00} on the XXXX and that she understood what I was going through, and that I could call them back when I had the money. On XXXX I started to receive government assistance and WestCreek without my permission withdrawal {$330.00} from my account on XX/XX/XXXX and today XX/XX/XXXX they did another withdrawal of {$330.00} so I decide to call them to see what was going on and to confirm with that this would be the last payment that they would be withdrawing from my account because according to my calculations it covered the total amount of {$1000.00} which was what I owed them in the beginning. Even though according to my calculations an extra {$160.00} was charged which I believed was some type of readjustment due to the extended time Ive got for being unable to make the payment on time because of the financial impact I suffered due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. But for my surprise when I called today to make no extra charges was going to be made and to confirm that my debt with them was paid off. The representative told me that todays withdraw wasn't the last XXXX. Another XXXX payments of {$330.00} was scheduled for XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. So, I told him that I believed that whatever I owed them was already paid according to my calculation of the amounts they had already withdrawn up to this point and that whatever extra charges they intended to withdraw in the next couple of months was just not fair. Especially because I called them ahead explaining that my inability of making my payment on time last XXXX was caused by the fact that I've lost my income due to the Pandemic and that same time I've also called my credit card companies and my other creditors to let them know the pandemic had affected me, and them all waved late fees, interests etc. Because it was situation that was out of our control, and back them I recall that the finance experts and government officials even the governor of MA was advising us to do. They were all advising us to try to negotiate. So, today I am complaining because I believe that they are being irresponsible and abusive toward their customers. They are trying to take advantage of us in this moment of crises. What they are trying to do is disrespectful. I am pretty much being charge twice for my purchase because I delayed a payment because of a situation that I had no control. Even though I called them to notify them of what was going on. Even though I told them that I would call them back once things were better. But they didn't even wait for my call back they withdraw money from my account without caring if the money that was there were intended to meet the needs of me and my family, without my consent or anything. Their whole behavior throughout this moment of difficult that had impacted the whole nation all they care is to get money from us no matter what. They are acting money hungry toward their customers, overcharging them, not caring, not showing a bit of empathy with others. I sincerely feel so violated by them, totally disrespected. In resume I just want them to declare my debt paid off. Because I really believed that I no longer owe them anything since I already paid them what I owed. I want them to stop withdrawing money from my account whenever they want without notifying that they will do it. I was not contacted by anyone either by phone or mail or email that even though I called them to explain that I was struggling because I was being impacted financially by the Coronavirus Pandemic my agreement with them was going to change and with or without my explanation of the reason of my inability to pay the last {$500.00} I would be charged twice of what I previously owned because they just dont care. I was never notified. All I see is them withdrawing money from my account, and I have no way to stop them because they have my account information on their file. I need Help to stop this abuse. I don't even care about the {$160.00} extra that they already charged me. I just want them to stop withdrawing money from my account, and to stop the abusive charges. They can not treat their customers like that. They can not take advantage of this unfortunate situation that we are all facing because of this Pandemic. XXXX XXXX dba Koalafi continues to attempt to collect a debt not owed. They are also reporting this debt illegally to the credit bureaus. I have attempted to resolve this issue directly with the company on multiple occasions. The company provides conflicting information regarding the status of my account and refuses to provide requested information. XXXX XXXX has a history of engaging in illegal practices with consumers and this time is no different. I initially purchased this lease to own furniture from XXXX XXXX online. XXXX XXXX offered me the Koalafi financing but did not disclose the usurious interest rates involved. My initial purchase was around {$4000.00} for XXXX dining table, XXXX coffee table, and XXXX end tables. After the first month, Koalafi claimed that I owed a total of {$14000.00}! I called the company immediately and discussed the balance. Obviously that is a ridiculous amount of money for XXXX tables. I told the representative that I could not afford this debt and wanted to return the tables. The representative advised that she would notate the account and a representative would call me to schedule the return. I waited for a week or XXXX and never received a phone call. I called and asked to speak to the returns department and could not get anyone on the phone as they were busy with a " high call volume ''. I told the representative that this isn't right and it seemed as if they were delaying the return to continue to charge me money illegally! Another month of contact attempts passes. I spoke to a different representative who states that she will enter the return request again. This time the return request was entered correctly and Koalafi picked up the tables within a few days. The tables were picked up by XXXX men in a standard pick up truck, not a company vehicle. I have requested proof of the return in writing to confirm the returned merchandise was received. This company refuses to provide written proof of return which is illegal. The company also continues to charge me for the returned merchandise. They also continue to report my account as delinquent to the credit bureaus every month. Furthermore, my online account shows an unrelated charge off amount of {$2900.00}! The business practices are unscrupulous and illegal. I was told I have to pay a minimum of {$1700.00} in order to close the account. They are essentially overcharging me for furniture that I do not have any longer and continuing to report the account as open and delinquent on my consumer credit report. In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting act, the account listed below has violated my federally protected consumer rights to privacy and confidentiality under 15 USC 1681. 15 U.S.C 1681 Section 602 A states I have the right to privacy 15 U.S.C 1681 Section 604 A Section 2 : It also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions. 15 U.S. C 1681 c ( a ) ( 5 ) Section states no consumer reporting agency may make any consumer report containing any of the following items of information. Any other adverse item of information, other than records of convictions of crimes which antedates the account by more than 7 years 15 U.S.C 1681s-2 ( A ) ( 1 ) A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. I am disputing this debt entirely and would like the CFPB to investigate this company further as they continue to deceive consumers with unfair and illegal practices. XXXX XXXX has a history of doing this. Furthermore, the derogatory information on my credit report is inaccurate, the balance and payment history continues to be reported inaccurately, and this account should be permanently deleted. The credit bureaus also failed to investigate properly and remove this account as required by law.

I was looking for Rims for my car, I went into XXXX XXXX XXXX, which is situated at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX NY XXXX. The owner did not have the type of Rims that I was looking for. He then showed me a XXXX from the internet and said that I don't need to pay out of my pocket, that I could be financed by Koalifi ( The name of the financed company ) and it will only take few minutes to get the outcome. He then requested for my driver 's license and my bank card and insisted that it will only take less than 10 minutes. He then told me that I got approved for the sum of {$3000.00} and they took an initial payment of {$48.00}, I then requested to see the Rims, he told me I have to go to his other store to fetch the Rims, all the way in XXXX, which was an hour plus drive away, I asked him why I was not informed that the merchandise is not in his premise, his response was that I shouldn't be worried that I will get there in no time. I drove all the way to XXXX for the Rims, when I arrived at the said premise, I showed them the slip that was given to me, they then loaded 4 boxes into my trunk, and referred me somewhere else to fit the Rims. After they were done fitting the Rims it was totally off color, it did not fit the color of my car, I called both phone numbers that was giving to me, he never picked up. I drove all the way back to his store, only to find out that he was closed. I went back home with the merchandise still in my trunk and I came back the following morning, I waited for almost 4 hours before his assistant came to open his store. Apparently, it was the same person that assisted me yesterday at the other store, i told him the reason why I came back, who then called the owner, I then explained my predicament to him, that the color doesn't match my car, who then stated that if he decides to take the rims back, that I need to add an additional {$1800.00}, which I found ridiculous. I left the whole merchandise in his store and told him that I am willing to work out something with him whenever his ready, then I left. I called Koalifi also known as XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to Close the account, they took some amount from my account in order for them to proceed with the closure of the account. It has been a nightmare since then, I received calls from Koalifi that the owner of XXXX states that the sale is final, and I was instructed to go fetch the merchandise, then I should call them. I did what I was told to do, and it almost a month been told the same story that the matter is under investigation. Initially they said I could not be charged at the present moment because it is showing XXXX amount that is owed to them. However, without any notice I saw on my credit report that I am suddenly owing {$1000.00}, and that I have skipped payment for 24 to 45 days, it is so unprofessional of them, i never told them that I wasn't going to pay. I tried making payment several times they refused, and insisted on getting the merchandise first, every time I call to make payment, they put me on hold till they drop the call. I have accepted the merchandise, and every time I try making payment, the operators says that the matter is still under investigation for over a month, yet they had the audacity to add it to my credit score that I am owing them money. Everyone should be aware of such financial company claiming to assist you in financing anything.

Koalafi offered me a credit card product around XX/XX/2022, for the purpose of a home renovation project, without a true dispute process as described in Regulation Z. The loan was activated by the merchant prior to project completion in early XX/XX/2022. Merchant originally made good faith effort to finish the project. In late XXXX, Merchant began avoiding obligations to finish project ( vague responses for when outstanding goods would arrive, and no response on when punch list items would be completed ) As of XX/XX/2022, merchant had not delivered all good/services as promised to the customer. Customer was unable to reach merchant with any firm updates for the goods/services. A call was placed to Koalafi stating the dispute ( similarly to how it is outlined in the complaint ), with Koalafi affirming that they are not responsible for the merchant, and I as the customer am still obligated to make payments. Koalafi quickly reminded customer of loan agreement. On XX/XX/2022, merchant responded to customer, proposing a plan going forward. On XX/XX/2022, Koalafi contacted both merchant and myself, on separate phone calls. Customer stated that at this time, Merchant has proposed a plan and timeline to finish the project. Koalafi implied during this conversation that they are under no requirement to provide resolution or further investigation, and reminded the customer that payments are still required. Koalafi also stated that if the dispute were to arise again, the same process of phone calls to the merchant and customer would repeat, regardless of resolution on either end. Based on this dispute process and phone call conversation, it does not appear that Koalafi provides any protection to the customer, nor does Koalafi believe that any governing laws apply to them. References : Per the TRUTH IN LENDING ACT ( REGULATION Z ), " issuers must investigate and resolve certain billing errors, including a transaction reflected on a periodic statement involving goods or services that the consumer ( or representative ) did not accept or was not delivered or was not delivered as agreed. " Per the attached lending agreement with Koalafi : If, after any such good faith effort to achieve resolution with the Merchant, you are still dissatisfied, you may contact Servicer in writing at Koalafi, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, VA XXXX, or any other address the Servicer may designate, and we will investigate the matter. During the pendency of the investigation, you must still make any payments owed under this Agreement. Once our investigation is concluded, we will make a determination regarding any amounts you continue to owe under this Agreement. If, following ourdetermination, you do not make payments that we confirm are owed under this Agreement, we may report you as delinquent.

I purchased furniture from a local store chain called XXXX XXXX. They offered/partnered with a lender for financing called koalafi. They store rep told me that the loan is interest free for the first 90 days then is interest bearing thereafter. I planned to pay off the {$4000.00} balance by then so it wasnt a concern of mine. They did not go into any further details about how the loan works. In my mind, traditional situations like this are common and there isnt anything fishy or catch that would make this worse than it appears. It was I wrong. When I signed documents, its through docusign just like many other set overs these days. Click a button and it skips to the end of the contract to sign. My fault for not reading it but when I get to the catch they erroneously didnt mention, the fundamental approach of this loan is predatory. Ok the terms of the contract as I understood them are that they will deduct {$270.00} biweekly. After 90 days the loan becomes interest bearing. I made an additional {$1000.00} payment during these 90 days to bring the payoff amount down to something more manageable by the time I get to the 90 days. These payments are automatic. I dont have to login to a portal or call to make the payments. I login to the portal to get my payoff balance on XXXX as I planned on paying it off and the balance not only was around the {$1300.00} it should have been around, the balance increased higher than the purchase price of {$4000.00}! ( It was around {$5500.00} payoff ). I checked the contract and after the XXXX payment, the balance automatically increases to this figure regardless of whatever the balance was previously prior to the 90 days. Bear in mind that the 90 day period ended on XXXX so I was 2 days late. So the {$2600.00} I paid up till that point went nowhere. As again, the balance increases to XXXX and is interest bearing with the same payment and schedule at 24 %. If I continued paying it on schedule the total amount paid for a couch and love seat would have been over {$13000.00}! I was able to get them to honor the original payoff amount after I raised XXXX with the rep and supervisor. They charged me 5 % of the original financed amount for the 2 days late and another 3 % of the payment amount in order to process the card payment outside the regular payment schedule. Fees fees fees. My payoff increased from XXXX to XXXX For anyone else that doesnt have the capacity to drop {$2000.00} to pay off the furniture, theyll have to get screwed by these guys and waste a ton of money or will end up in collections. This is a terrible loan, aiming to take advantage of people and definitely matches up to predatory lending.

Last fall, I moved to a new house and didn't have my own mattress. I was looking for a cheap mattress and I found out that XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX in XXXX XXXX, Iowa sell a mattress at low prices. I saw the Adversite and it said they sell queen mattresses starting at {$150.00}. I thought that was cheap. On XX/XX/XXXX, I decided to see the mattress in the store. They didn't have a mattress with the brand that I wanted which is called XXXX. I was kind of pressured to buy a queen mattress there so I bought one that cost me {$900.00} and I decided to pay through installment loan until XX/XX/2023. That date is the early purchase option deadline. I had to pay off {$900.00} by XX/XX/2023, or I'll have to pay double. I tried to pay it off before XX/XX/2023. I paid the full amount left off before the deadline. But somehow, this situation messed it up. Between around that time, I paid it off. I got the email that someone tried to use my card at XXXX which isn't in my town so I knew it wasn't me. So I called the bank about it and they suggested I get a new card number. So I did. Somehow, once they canceled my card and ordered a new card. It automatically canceled the payment I paid for the mattress loan. I didn't think about it until later. I checked the loan they said I still owe them money and they continue to take my money off from my balance. I was very stressed at that time because I didn't have enough money to keep paying for it and I couldn't ask anyone to help me pay for it. Because I also pay for my own car monthly. My car monthly was around {$500.00} a month. So I called the loan company which is Koafafi. They were pretty rude and I was upset, I tried my best to explain my situation. They said they couldn't do anything about it. They said it was my fault that it was canceled and I didn't change my card information. They told me I didn't pay on time, but I did. They said I still need to pay them the rest amount. I told them I couldn't afford that time and I was struggling mentally and financially. A few months ago and this month, I called the XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX customer service about it and they said they need my information like Full name, phone number, city and state, and email address and they will call me back soon. I tried and called them twice and they never call me back.

Back on XX/XX/XXXX, I opened a Lease Account with Koalafi. According to the payoff amount/balanced that was reflected in my Koalafi online account when I open the Lease in XXXX of XXXX was {$1100.00}. The payments were set up automatically every 2-weeks on the amount of {$130.00} plus I was additionally paying {$66.00}. I went back to my bank account records, between XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX a total of {$1100.00} was paid to Koalafi. When I called them back on XX/XX/XXXX to informed them that I had overpaid in my account since the original Lease Amount was only {$1100.00} I was surprised to realized that according to their records my original XXXX XXXX was {$1300.00}. Therefore, I was in default with an amount of {$170.00} which I was not aware. As a result, they increased the amount of my Lease Amount to {$1700.00}. I tried calling several times in XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX. I was sick for several months, and I could not make any other attempts to call between XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I resumed my attempts to call them XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, I was able to speak to someone via chat communication online. I asked to speak to a manager, but I had not luck. According to representative a manger will return my call within 5 business days. However, back in XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX I received the same response, and no one returned my messages. As of XX/XX/XXXX, Koalafi has reported a passed due amount of more than 90 days to the 3 major credit bureaus, and they have managed to affect my credit disproportionately. However, I feel that I as a consumer, I made my payments on time every 2-weeks with additional payment amount to cover what it was reflected in my account when originally opening my Lease Account. I need your assistance to get this situation resolved. There was a mistake in the Lease Amount showing in my account back in XX/XX/XXXX vs the lease payoff amount showing in their system. I am willing to pay what is fair for the consumer. I am willing cover the {$170.00} that supposedly was part of the original Lease Amount from back in XX/XX/XXXX. However, I do not think is fair for consumers having to pay unproportionally amounts of money when they did not receive the correct information.

Hi Team, I came across a furniture page on XXXX. They said they have a physical store in a location that I will share. They said I can pay via financing so they shared me link of Koalafi ( Formerly West Creek Financial ). I applied and was approved for $ XXXX. They placed the order and said it'll take few days. Upon repeated calls, messages etc he told he can't deliver the order and will take additional month! I said in that case I would like to cancel my order as I was relocating and wanted furniture for my whole house. He said okay but then I called Koalafi to cancel the loan but they said they'll only cancel once that store owner calls and cancels. I called him again but I ended up being block on all the platforms. I have already made few payments to KOALAFI and they are not cooperating with me. They said they can't do anything despite the fact that they are the ones doing direct business with them. As a customer, I never knew what loan service he is providing me and I assumed that if Koalafi is working with a store manager it should be legitimate because I worked with Koalafi in the past and had the best experience. Also it is mentioned that Koalafi release payment to merchants once the items are marked delivered which in any way wasn't marked by me. During a recent credit application process, Koalafi denied my request for credit. This, in itself, is not the issue. The problem lies in their failure to provide specific reasons for this denial. Such behavior is a direct violation of the FCRA, specifically 15 U.S.C. 1681m ( a ), a law designed to ensure transparency and fair play in credit dealings. The FCRA clearly mandates that if a credit application is denied, or if the terms offered are less favorable than those typically provided, the creditor ( in this case, Koalafi ) must offer clear, comprehensible reasons for their decision. Unfortunately, I received a simple notice of denial with no explanation whatsoever. This leaves me, and potentially other consumers, without any understanding or guidance on how to improve our credit standing with them in the future. In response, I requested Koalafi to : Provide me with specific reasons for the denial of my credit application, as per the FCRA. Confirm that they've implemented necessary processes to comply with the FCRA and to prevent such issues in the future. Remember, failure to adhere to FCRA regulations can result in serious penalties for companies, including statutory damages, punitive damages, and attorney 's fees, as per 15 U.S.C. 1681n and o. I am sharing my experience to alert potential customers of Koalafi 's violation. I hope that my review can help others make an informed decision. I am currently awaiting their response and resolution of this matter within 15 days from my initial complaint. I get a alert from my third party credit monitor that a account was reported delinquent 30 days so I look to see who it was and it was West Creek Financial delinquent XXXX past due 10. I purchased 4 mattress from this store with a {$40.00} down payment and 90 days same as cash, but he did not explain that I will be charge twice a month {$270.00} basically 10 % every 15 days until I paid the full amount in 90 days. I had emergency auto repairs that had to be done on my vehicle. The total cost was {$6000.00}, I explained to the shop that I did not have the money for the costly repairs. The manager explained to me that I could finance it, he ran through the loan company that they use and I was qualified within a few minutes. I was signing the loan paperwork over their tablet and on the phone as well from the loan company at closing time. At the time the only thing explained was that the amount needed to be paid in 90 days and if not there would be accrued interest ( which to me was normal and to be expected ). None of this information was mentioned or presented until the documents were signed. Had I known I would have never agreed to pay an amount over XXXX the original amount. I have called the company multiple times to adjust payments and to get the amount lowered, and asked for other payment options only to be told that their system generates the amount to be paid. Currently I have already paid {$1500.00} over the original loan amount. I called to ask what I need to do for payoff only to be told that there is no way to project how much my payoff amount will be and making extra payments goes to the remaining balance and not the payoff amount that is listed. The supervisor explained that there is essentially a lottery that their system does and one day my payoff could be higher and one day it could be lower, but there is no way to know what it will be on a day-to-day although reading the contract it states it will always be 50 % of the remaining. This issue needs to be reported and this company needs to be shut down for doing this to people. It's not right! The salesperson explained that the have another payment option through West Creek financial and we are able to do 3 months 6 months or 12 payment options. This would be paid from my bank account ACH withdrawals. We explained that I wanted the 6 month option so I do n't pay as much in fees. He agreed that the less time you have to pay the better. Fast forward 6 months I am still paying. According to my calculations XX/XX/XXXX should have been the last payment. My wife realized that West creek financial took out a payment of {$190.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. So when I got home from work we called West Creek Financial and spoke with the customer service agent. The agent explained that we do n't have a 6 month plan, you have a 12 month plan according to our records. I said you have it here on your pamphlet 6 months and that 's what I asked for. The agent said I have to pay 80 % interest on the total of the purchase for a total of {$4400.00} over 12 months or pay them {$1100.00} today to settle the interest. I told the agent that is robbery and no I did not sign up for that. He explained that he would reach out to the financial department and see what he could do. I thanked him and he said he would call back the next day to tell me or my wife the verdict from finance. On XX/XX/2018 i entered a store and apply to buy two twin beds to be finance. I was informed that i would have three months 0 % interest if i applied and qualify. I bought 2 mattresses with the cover from XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/2017. They offered me to finance and breakdown my payments twice every month. They didn't tell me anything about the finance company or their interest rate or any terms and condition. After XXXX XXXX received the total amt. needed to repair my truck, he still never purchased or replaced my transmission in my truck. He advised he will need to conduct a investigation with XXXX XXXX and will follow up with me after the investigation is conducted. Well, XXXX denied my claim because the furniture store provided a copy of the invoice as proof of delivery. I did not receive the furniture. Neither of these companies want to honor the lease agreement to terminate the my contract and wants to continue to bill for me merchandise I did not receive. On XXXX XXXX, 2020, I went to XXXX XXXX in XXXX, AR to purchase tires. XXXX XXXX offered financing through Westcreek Financial. The tires I needed for my truck are expensive so that seemed to be the best option. No information was given to me about the lease while in the store, nor was I given a physical lease agreement or asked to sign anything other than the form verifying my personal information. XXXX XXXX performed the service on my truck and sent me on my way. A few hours later I received an email saying I needed to sign the lease agreement. I never signed it. Westcreek took money out of my account every week for some time. When I had paid around {$700.00} of the loan I called to see how much remained, as plaza said my credit line was around {$800.00}. Westcreek then informed me that {$800.00} was the original payoff, since I hadnt paid it off in a specific amount of time the final price was now around {$2000.00}. I told them I wasnt given any information at XXXX, nor did I sign the lease agreement or even receive one until after I had left the dealership. Nonetheless I offered to pay the rest of the original amount and Westcreek denied. Given legal advice from a close relative, I was assured that I should leave it alone. I offered payment and it was refused. Westcreek also says they have a copy of where I signed the lease agreement, but that is absolutely impossible. On top of everything else, I asked them to stop calling me. Every day I receive around 3-5 calls from Westcreek. I was also legally advise that it was harassment. I applied for a short term loan - as I have previously done before. On XX/XX/XXXX ( Acct # XXXX ) I opened this new lease in the amount of {$1600.00} of purchase after tax and fees the balance to be paid off by XXXX XXXX, XXXX {$1800.00}. In an attempt to take advantage of the early purchase option I made payments to complete the agreement ; I paid {$320.00} on XX/XX/XXXX, {$350.00} on XX/XX/XXXX, and {$820.00} on XX/XX/XXXX and {$320.00} XX/XX/XXXX. The payments were all made electronically and through automated drafts by the company. All payments except the {$820.00} payment were processed. Attached is my statement showing the funds were available - and the bank states there were no attempts for an XXXX withdrawal for {$820.00}. The company stated that it was NSF but failed to provide proof of submitting payment after several requests. On XX/XX/XXXX there were funds available for the payment and i could have made another deposit to cover any costs - the company never attempted to authorize payment according to my institution- further verified by no NSF fees charged by my bank for insufficient funds. I continued to make payments during the time I was disputing the error and the amount owed, and tried to work it out with the company. I have paid {$2100.00} to the company to date. If the company had taken the payment as requested and authorized by me my lease would have been paid off within the 90 days avoiding all other fees. I respectfully ask that the loan is backdated to the XXXX payment and closed out and to have the overpayment of {$280.00} returned to me.

While I am not currently experience personal issues with my account with West Creek Financial, I am under the impression that their lending process is not entirely legal. On XX/XX/2018 I agreed to buy a mattress from what I was told was a wholesale retail vendor and opted in for them to finance my purchase of {$300.00} with a {$40.00} downpayment. They made the application process quick, I was told my total was {$300.00} with a {$40.00} down payment required, that the rest of the payments would be done in payments of {$25.00} every other week and I agreed to this. However when the signing process began the agent generated an electronic signature for me, turned the laptop screen towards me and quickly scrolled the pages down and tapped to apply my signature for me for every line. She made the comment that her husband does not even turn the laptop towards customers. There was never any mention of interest, that the item was rent to own, or that if it was not paid in 90 days that I would be charged 45 % more bringing the total payments to {$650.00}. It is in the documents they signed for me without allowing me to read, as they did print a copy to send with me. Also in the documents the " {$40.00} down payment '' is an initial payment that did not apply towards my balance. I know that this entire process violates the Truth in Lending Act, as the fees and full disclosures were NOT PROVIDED UNTIL AFTER THE TRANSACTION. Upon searching this company I have found several other people who has been scammed by this company as well.

However my move-in date changed to XX/XX/XXXX so I called the company immediately and let them know. they ensured my furniture would be delivered on the newly scheduled date. ( This did not happen ) days go by and I reach out to Kings furniture ( I have been working with XXXX ( son ) & XXXX ( father/owner ). during my visit I was offered financing through snap financial. XXXX told me that I would make payment to snap once all my furniture had been delivered. he ensured they wouldnt take any money before that and that this was the only lender we would be utilizing. He did let me know about a few other finance companies but I expressed to him that this was my first time so I just wanted to utilize one lender at this time which was snap. Today is XX/XX/XXXX and I have yet to receive my furniture order. I also have a lending company contacting me by the name of : Koalafi stating that I have missed a payment with them? This is impossible as I assured the furniture salesman ( XXXX ) that I did NOT wish to use any other lender besides snap. I do not have my furniture order nor will I be paying Koalafi anything. In XX/XX/2020 I was given a {$3000.00} line of credit with Westcreek Financial with a lease agreement to make a payment each month that is directly debited from my bank account. This company has not reported to XXXX since XX/XX/2020 although I have never missed a payment. I paid off the remaining balance on the account and asked Westcreek financial to submit notice to XXXX and they failed to do so. On my credit report it appears as if I have a high balance and that is not the case. When I called Westcreek back I was told the account was reported as closed and I informed them that reporting an account as closed negatively affects a persons credit report and it should be reported as paid in full instead. Westcreek stated that if I no-longer am wanting to purchase utilizing the funds available then they have no further business with me. I attempted for the 5th time to have this disputed with XXXX and XXXX and the issue has not been resolved and is still appearing on my credit report as a high balance when in fact there is no balance. I also filed a complaint with the XXXX and also noticed that the reviews there are quite similar to my complaint. This company targets low income people and then seeks to destroy your credit when you pay off your account and they are not able to box you into a long term lease to charge you double of what the original item cost.

I opened an account with West Creek Financial in the late part of 2019. Recently in the past XXXX months I have been out of work due to medical reasons. I have not been receiving any pay checks. As soon as I knew I was going to be out of work I spoke to one of the representatives at West Creek Financial and told him my situation and they told me not to worry and to let them know when I started working again so that I could start making payments again. most places that allow you to take out a loan there is a payment protection plan that protects you and your credit from bad remarks such as late payments and miss payments when youre out of work. I expressed that I was willing to make partial payments but they told me they did not allow partial payments and that they only excepted payments in full. They threatened me and told me they will send my account to collections if I did not pay them in full after I had clearly told them I was not working at the time. Today on XX/XX/XXXX I had to borrow money from my family to pay my past due balance of {$480.00}. I am extremely disappointed with the poor customer service and the lack of empathy that they show their customers during trying times. I was not asking to hold my payments until I started work again I just needed to be able to make partial payments but they threatened to send my account to collections.

Part of the approval process is dependent on a {$40.00} deposit, or initial payment. I was approved for up to {$500.00} originally. When I went to submit the approval to the merchant I was applying for the credit account for, my approval changed tk a denial because I had accidentally entered an invalid card. I called the company, Koalify, and I was advised to reapply with and update my application with no issue. I was denied. The merchant then calls Koalify, and requests for my denials to be reset. I apply again and again I am denied, all because my original application had an error that was since corrected. Im being told by management at Koalify that if it was simply an incorrect card, they can assist with the application being pushed through, which is the reason why I was declined after originally being approved. Then Koalify says that they can not help me because of the denied applications submitted after. HOWEVER, Ive been assured by the merchant involved that the denials could and were reset. Koalify is giving me a difficult time and their so-called policy have no room for error for the customer.

I had signed a lease agreement for wheels and tires from a company. I have been fighting with the company since I had signed the agreement. I did not want them and tried to cancel the lease. I have since been charged for 3 months with items I never wanted. I finally got ahold of someone with XXXX and they resolved the issue with the merchant only to tell me I still owe them money or they will report that I am delinquent on my credit report. I spoke to the lady today and she stated that on the phone. I DO NOT HAVE THESE ITEMS. They have them and in no way should I pay for an item that I did not want. I got the loan through west creek financial 8 months ago and gave them authorization to auto debit my account on the XXXX and the XXXX of each month on XX/XX/19 I noticed that the money was pulled out of my account. I opened a loan for a piece of furniture through Koalafi. I agreed to pay off the loan in three months so that I wont have to pay interest. I was making a payment of {$180.00} a week to pay it off. I had two weeks left with a total balance of {$370.00} so I made a final payment in that amount. The following week they continued to charge my card {$180.00} so I had called to get a refund for that since I made the payment towards paying it off. I reviewed my account through the company web portal for customers. I learned that my payoff amount was XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. I EXCITEDLY, whipped out my debit card for payoff amount. The ledger showed that I was paid off. The company the next day takes an additional amount of XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. I had repairs completed on a vehicle and was approved for financing through XXXX XXXX. I was told that the initial payment of {$40.00} was due at the time of signing, which was paid. The agreement signed for their company also indicates that this {$40.00} as in initial payment. However, the payment amount of {$40.00} was not deducted from the total amount due. When contacted, the company states this was an application fee. However, there is no documentation or notification that this was an application fee that would not be a payment deducted from the amount due. The company refuses to deduct this {$40.00} from the total amount due. On review of their website under FAQ, question XXXX asks about an application fee and the company response is " At the time of application, a small hold ... will be placed on your debit card. Hello, After signing my lease I have been in contact multiple times trying to respond to customer service and received no response to help assist with a reasonable payment plan. For several weeks I made on-time payments, then when changing jobs notified koalifi I missed a payment because my weekly paychecks were transferred to monthly checks. Instead of a reasonable customer service agent reaching out to help get me back on track, I was told my missed payment now made me ineligible for a 90-day payoff and the interest on my loan was doubled and reported to the credit bureaus. I purchased {$2800.00} of furniture and made several payments over {$100.00}. My balance currency shows I now owe Koalifi over {$5000.00} and the cost of my loan has more than doubled. This is unacceptable and under the guidelines of the FTC and predatory lending regulations. When I signed off on my purchase at the store no one explained the cost of loan would more than double and destroy my credit.

A loan for car repairs was taken out without my consent by the owner of the body shop called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. This occurred on XX/XX/2023 for the amount of {$2800.00}. I reached out to my bank due to an unauthorized transaction of {$550.00} from the lending company, Koalafi or AKA West Creek Financial. I called Koalafi and explained how I did not give consent for any loan to be opened. Also, I did not sign anything or see any paperwork in reference to this loan. The owner of the body shop inputted all my info without telling me about the loan, the terms/ conditions, and most importantly he forged my signature. I never signed anything. The rep said she was going to contact the body shop and then contact me. That never happened. I filed a police report for the fraudulent activity, I also filed a complaint to FTC. Lastly, I filed a dispute with XXXX. Ive done everything in my power to notify the correct agencies about this fraud and nothing has been done.

After paying off the balance owed on an account, the company " West Creek Financial '' reported that the account was paid in full and closed the account with full knowledge that closing an account negatively impacts a person 's score. I have spoke with this company several times to request that they could simply report that the account is paid in full. I also informed this company that they target low income communities and minorities to offer their services to then turn around and destroy their credit. People in low income communities are already struggling, and at no time did the store I purchased the items from nor was I made aware on my receipt that once the account is paid in full the account would be reported as closed. I had a loan with West Creek ( now called Koalafi ) before without issues. My second loan, they reported two late payments on my credit report. I paid off the FULL BALANCE of XXXX XXXX under the agreement that all negative information and late payments being reported would be removed from my credit report by agent XXXX XXXX This was paid off in the first 100 days to avoid paying any interest, per the contract agreement. The late payments are still reflecting on my account to this day and any attempts to resolve with Koalafi directly have been unsuccessful. Ive reported to the XXXX and Koalafi advises that theyll reach out to me directly or I can reach out to them directly. Ive already reached out to them directly without resolution and do not want to spend any more time on this when theyre unwilling to resolve the issue and remove the late payments being reported. In XX/XX/2019 I purchased a set of tires from XXXX in XXXX XXXX, WA. for approximately {$650.00} dollars, and they set me up through West Creek Financial as the only option of making monthly payments on the tires. When I made the purchase, I was not made aware nor was I given paperwork that the payment must be completed in 100 days, and XX/XX/XXXX still does not have paperwork to back this. West Creek Financial also never notified me by mail or email at any point during this period of time about this 100 days to pay the debt. When I realized I was being charged beyond my initial purchase amount, I called West Creek Financial and they told me my balance is over {$1500.00}. West Creek Financial was not able to explain these terms to me over the phone, and XXXX could not explain it in person when I re-visited them to fix the issue. So my debt was more than doubled and this is something I was not notified of by anybody.

Had my vehicle repaired at a friend 's place of business. In the past, the owner had allowed me to make payments if the bill was large. This time, she said she was unable to, due to the larger amount of the bill ( {$1100.00} ). She stated she knew of a company that she had previous dealings with that may be able to help, and gave me their website address. I applied and was accepted. I received a notification from my XXXX app about my personal information ( email, Drivers License etc. ) circulating the Dark Web. Naturally, i was prompted in the app to " Lock '' my credit report. I received another notification a couple of days later about a credit account with a West Creek Financial/ XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX that was added to my XXXX credit report and that's when i understood that the lock I put on only locks fraudulent activity for XXXX and not XXXX or XXXX inquiries. I received a furniture loan on XX/XX/2019. I financed around {$3000.00}. The same as cash loan was for 100 days. If you don't pay the loan off in 100 days, the fee is 105 % of the original loan. This is one of the worst finance companies I have ever seen as far as usury. They KNOW that most people can not pay {$3000.00} or whatever they're financing in 100 days then the lease fee kicks in.
