XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/2018. Mortgage Vankeef Financial LLC. XXXX XXXX. We have requested that Vankeef Financial reimburse our appraisal fee, which they authorized. We had questioned them about paying an appraisal fee twice. The first time they assured us that the loan was approved and need to move forward with appraisal. It was not approved. They claim they needed more employment history from spouse.Who has been working for the Dept. Of DOE for approximately 6 years. They stalled our loan process and requested to order another appraisal. I informed them to make sure the loan was indeed secured. He assured again. I then asked him again ( Rep ) to make sure it was approved. They said it was. We ordered it and paid over {$700.00}. They appraisal value came at more than what Vankeef Finaincial anticipated. Good right? Wrong. They said that they could not confirm spouses employment and that the HR was not returning their calls. We told them, we initially we provided them with spouse XXXX, check stubs and tax returns. Why is that not confirmation enough to get the Loan? When another ( prior ) Mortgage Co approved our application, but had a higher interest and closing cost rate. We asked Vankeef Financial for full reimbursement of our Appraisal fee, because they ordered it, but was denied and said '' Because the appraisal fee ( they ordered us to pay ) was paid to the Appraisal Company, unfortunately we can not reimburse your appraisal '' ... ... .. We have filed complaints with various agencies and the XXXX

My wife and I started our home refinance on XX/XX/XXXX with VanKeef Financial. I was told by XXXX XXXX himself the refinance would be 45 days. It is now XX/XX/XXXX and there is no end in sight. The only requirement is for us to pay for another appraisal update due to Texas ' Disaster Declaration which we do not feel comfortable or fair that we have to pay since this should've been done long before XXXXXX/XX/XXXX snowstorm. All documents requested were submitted in a timely manner. We were only getting a response from VanKeef only when I email to ask for an update and each response came back with " We are working on the underwriting approval '' and sometimes no response. Calling them I do not get to speak with my Loan Officer or processor and does not get a call back. We have one primary home and one investment home that's paid off. None of our bills are behind and we have more than sufficient income to cover our expenses. There shouldn't be any reason this hasn't closed. At this point we feel like they are scamming us and just dragging their feet since they can no longer deliver the 2.25 % 15 year interest rate that we locked in at due to the market shift.
