On XX/XX/XXXX I received a notice of garnishment in the mail. Until that time I had been unaware of the debt, a {$500.00} line of credit I had opened in XX/XX/XXXX at Oregon XXXX XXXX XXXX when I was living in Oregon 14 years ago. I had completely forgotten about it, and I never received any notices for any hearings or judgments. Upon receiving the notice of garnishment for the total amount of {$1600.00}, I contacted [ collections agency ] and worked out a payment plan of $ [ XXXX ] a month, to be withdrawn by [ collections agency ] on a monthly basis out of my bank account. I checked at the end of the month to make sure the payment had gone through successfully, and it had. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX I received notice from my bank that [ collections agency ] had withdrawn the entirety of the money in the account, totaling $ [ XXXX ]. When I called [ collections aghency ] to inquire about this, the representatives confirmed that they had received the XX/XX/XXXX payment but said they had not withdrawn any subsequent monthly payments due to a mistake in their records, and upon realizing their mistake, they withdrew all of the money in the account instead of just the missed interim payments. Though they acknowledged that it was an error on their end, they told me I should have known of the error and found another way to pay them somehow, and then they demanded I pay the remainder of the total amount of the debt immediately. Throughout our interaction, the representatives were extremely verbally abusive. They told me I was cheating the credit union and said multiple times that I was irresponsible, even though I had willingly set up a payment plan as soon as I became aware of the debt and then made sure there was enough money in the payment account for my monthly payments. I informed them that I am not able to pay the total amount and asked if we could work out a settlement or a new payment plan with the terms in writing this time. In response, the representative demanded my paystubs, home information, and other personal information and would not tell me why they needed it. They said it was their standard practice and they would not work with me until I gave them this information, which I did not feel comfortable doing. I know there is a garnishment order and I want to do the right thing, but I can not afford to pay the full amount ( especially after they emptied my account ), and I am not sure what else to do at this point

Valley Credit services, has reported, on my XXXX credit report, a collection account for an alleged debt. I contacted the agency today at XXXX, I spoke with XXXX , whom failed to disclose communication was attempt to collect a debt ever during the phone call. I obtained a recording of the call as proof of the violation to my consumer rights. The agent also informed me the account has been sold to another collection agency, since I live in that state of Texas. Under Section 392.101 of the Texas Finance Code laws a third-party debt collector or credit bureau is prohibited from engaging in debt collection in Texas unless the third-party debt collector or credit bureau has obtained a surety bond and filed a copy of the bond with the Office of the Secretary of State. According to the Texas Secretary of State, Valley Credit Service does not have a bond filed in the state of Texas therefore are not bonded to collect in the state of Texas. The account is reporting as open on my credit file, as well as showing an updated date for the balance they are currently trying to collect on. So this account is now being collected by XXXX separate collection agencies, and XXXX showing as open, and current on my credit report, which again is a violation to my consumer rights. I sent Valley Credit a certified letter with a tracking number, requesting validation of the alleged debt, which they received XX/XX/XXXX. I never received validation, or a response of any kind from the agency. I then disputed the account with the XXXX Credit bureau, on XX/XX/XXXX, the account came back as verified and accurate, on XX/XX/XXXX. Again, Verifying not only false information to my credit file but the account in general, with the Credit bureau, before sending me, the consumer validation of the account is violating my rights. Valley Credit not only failed to conduct a reasonable investigation, but clearly has a blatant disregard for my legal rights.

On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX Valley Credit called me about debts they claim I owe At first they said the amount was {$5000.00} then it was {$49000.00} then {$3400.00} then {$4000.00}. this number changed this much during a 20 minute call. Because of their inability to to come up with a firm number I requested copies of ALL documentation of the debts. During this call they finally claimed that XXXX was the right amount. And I made an offer of {$3500.00} to settle their claims, which they accepted. As part of the agreement I was to receive copies of all documents, so that I could look thru them to verify the debts were in fact mine, as well as adding them up to come up with a real total. It was agreed that they would send the paper work out as soon as possible. I would go thru it and we would talk on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX after i had time to look at the paperwork. As of today XXXX/XXXX/XXXX I still have not received the paperwork, so I called them on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX @ XXXX to inquire about the paperwork. the lady I talked with ( XXXX ) at first said none of this was in their notes then put me on hold. When she came back she said that she found notes on the settlement but NOTHING about me requesting the paperwork and that I had until XXXX/XXXX/XXXX to pay or the settlement would go away and I 'd owe the whole amount. When I requested she move the settlement date and send me the paperwork she stated that they do n't have some of it, but they had some judgements when I asked for copies of those she stated " We dont send copies of those if you want them go get it from the courthouse ''. and 'We can provide a list of the amounts you owe but we do n't have the original paperwork because some of these are as far back as XXXX. she ended the conversation by telling me I had til the XXXX or the settlement would go away.

XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX failed you work with me when I had card theft issues and ended up with a negative balance I couldnt afford to pay off at the time. I stipulated with them I would not be paying the overuse balance as my card had been stolen. They claimed the charges were valid and thus fast track a while into the future and on my XXXX Credit Report I was hit with a collection from Valley Credit Services a debt collection agency whom opened the collections account on XX/XX/XXXX to the tune of {$850.00}. This ended up remaining on my report and after two years of attempting to resolve the situation I find on XX/XX/XXXX a duplicate account to the tune of an eerily similar {$840.00} had been added to the defaulted accounts and debt holdings section of my credit report. I filed a dispute shortly after via XXXX for the Valley Credit Services duplicate account. They came to the conclusion somehow that in fact this meets FCRA requirements. Which to my kkowledgeI understand that a debt may somehow be sold from one debt consolidation company to the next over a period of time. But I only ever had one account with the original creditor and this only one debt account can be established for said debt. Not only has this been negatively impacting my credit score to the tune of around 20 points or so but if Im not mistaken ; under the fair debt collection laws it is illegal for this Valley Credit Services to keep reporting a disputed claim and somehow legitimize it to XXXX when there is literally two duplicate accounts for one original debt. I have done all I can to get this duplicate negative account mark removed to no avail. Please help me or provide me the information I need on where or how I may fix this problem. Thank you.

I am having an issue with Valley Credit out of XXXX Oregon. They are collecting on a debt that is already paid through garnishment from my employer. The total garnishment was for XXXX XXXX I will list out dates of payments below. Valley Credit stated they never received payment on XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX and garnishment me again on XX/XX/XXXX including an additional XXXX $ in fees. My employer stated they sent a check to the company in XXXX for the XXXX and reissued another check for them on XX/XX/XXXX in which the company cashed totalling the XXXX with check number XXXX. I spoke with Valley credit on XX/XX/XXXX to which XXXX the account holder stated they had not received payment, and to speak with my employer. It wasn't until XX/XX/XXXX that my employer provided me with a check number. I reached back out to Valley credit and she stated that they ended up received the check from XX/XX/XXXX issue date after we spoke on XX/XX/XXXX and that I am still responsible for the reissuement of the garnishment fees. Someone needs to investigate this company. They are practicing unfair collection rights in obtaining moneys that have already been paid. I should not be responsible for additional fees as my employer has already paid them. They are unwilling to work with people or even contact people letting them know they have a debt prior to any type of garnishments. They are only interested in collecting additional fees. I need this issue resolved and I need this company investigated in result of unfair business practice and collection attempts. XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX

Valley Credit Services is attempting to collect a debt with the incorrect amount. They purchased an outstanding balance five years ago and never notified me of the purchase, of the purported amount, or of the ability to dispute and correct the amounts. I have notified them in writing and over the phone that the debt is disputed. I called multiple times after seeing the derogatory report still on my credit and was told that I had to pay the entire amount, including interest and fees in excess o f Oregon Statutory amounts, or they would continue to harm my credit. I was never gi ven the ability to dispute the errors and they refused to update and correct the information. I contacted the original creditor, my local credit union, for the correct amount outstanding and they forwarded that t o Valley Credit Service. After notifying repres entative " XXXX '' that the amount was incorrect and providing proof of the credits not applied at the sale of the auto, she refused to update the amount owing or the false amount reported to the credit bureaus. Today was my final attempt to resolve with them. This company is n't listening to any disputes and is unwilling to correct their errors. Before filing a civil complaint for damages, I want ed to seek one final help to have them conduct themselves with integrity.

This complaint is consequent to wrongful demand and collection activity reported to major credit bureaus for insurance co-payment arising from incorrect, wrongful, and disputed reporting of medical services and tests provided to me that were performed XX/XX/XXXX by XXXX [ Oregon ] XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, ( " XXXX '' ) ; together with wrongful and damaging debt-collection subsequently entered on my Credit Bureau reports by XXXX 's collection agent Valley Credit Service , Inc., XXXX, Oregon ( " VCS '' ) that began XX/XX/XXXX, and was updated XX/XX/XXXX, by XXXX 's collection agent ~ altogether as attached hereto. Both XXXX and VCS have refused to answer, let alone consider, any attendance to my concerns and complaint. This unjustified conduct and actions by XXXX and VCS have caused, and continue to cause, specific serious-and-unwarranted damage to my credit standing with consequent reduced or denied credit availability from both existing and new creditors. I received a garnishment at my place of employment. I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX located in XXXX Oregon on XX/XX/2019 and inquired about this garnishment and wanting to know who it was for, dates of service etc. All she could tell me was that it was for XXXX XXXX XXXX for the amount of {$800.00} for my daughter and that it was old and then she hung up. I then contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX and gave them me and my daughters name and social security numbers. They could not find any debt under any name or social security. So they advised me to contact XXXX XXXX. I then contacted XXXX XXXX and gave them all the same information as I did the previous phone call. They could not find any outstanding debts that where owed. I have not lived in XXXX Oregon for 15 years and have remarried. No one can give me a date of service, a dr 's name, a location, or what the visit was for. My children have never been without insurance. I have never had an outstanding debt for medical. This is an invalid debt and I do not owe this debt.

Over the last few months, since XX/XX/XXXX of 2017, I 've been trying to settle my debt with Valley Credit Service out of XXXX, Or. I 've tried calling a few times and the time that I finally got someone on the phone, they said they had already taken action to sue me for my debt, without giving me a chance to work with them. They then demanded I pay it off to stop legal action. I have never received any written notice for my debt. I was never served a summons to appear. I do n't have anything on paper telling me what my debt is and how much. I am now getting letters from lawyers wanting to represent me on my case, even though I have not been aware of any case against me. I have emailed them 3 times and called 3 times and have not gotten a response. I 've even talked to the bank that gave my debt to valley credit. The bank called them as well. Would like to know what I can do now about this debt.

This company has fraudulently reported misinformation to the credit bureaus and it has severely impacted me to the point I may be homeless in a few weeks. Valley Credit Services out of Oregon is the company. They say theyre removing it, but its too late and also they refuse to provide a single but if proof theyre doing this. It is nearly impossible to be the first applicant in WA state. First qualified applicant has to be chosen for the home, legally. There are 50 applications anytime a home is listed. After three months of trying, I was never first applicant. I was FINALLY the first applicant this week and ready to sign papers until valley credit services in Oregon broke the law and intentionally reported misinformation about me, causing me to lose the home and be in a position where Im about to become homeless. Im suing this company.
