XX/XX/XXXX SECTION 4- COMPLAINT Carhop Addition space On XX/XX/XXXX, I purchase a XXXX XXXX from Car Hop at XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX, Ca. XXXX, and I paid on that car twice a month on the XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX each month a sum of {$240.00} until XX/XX/XXXX when it was traded for XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from Sales Consultant XXXX XXXX from Carhop, he said that he was calling to update my account, when he notice that my car was due to be paid off. I said yes it is in ( 3 ) more car payments, so XXXX asked me if I wanted to upgrade in a newer used car and I could use my truck for a down payment or trade-in, so I said ok and drove there to the XXXX, Ca. office. I told XXXX that I was in a big SUV and I would have to have that because I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX for XXXX, and I XXXX XXXX two people one age XXXX with XXXX in XXXX, and XXXX yr. old male with XXXX in XXXX he then said to me that he had something for me, just come down so once I got to the office I met with XXXX . Once I got there XXXX met me outside and he gave me keys in hand saying go test drive it, take it home, and see if this what you can use, and he also said not to worry about my car payments that he would work it out that when you get back. I test drove the XXXX straight to my family member car repair shop, the mechanic went to open the hood and asked me to release the latch, but I told him that it wasnt any latch just wires and they were hanging he said take this car back to Carhop and let them know this. I drove the car back to Carhop, and I met up with XXXX and told him what the mechanic told me, he said no problem just take it to our ( Carhop ) mechanic which he wrote the name on a piece of paper and gave it to me and he said that they will send the repairs over and we will get it fixed. I told XXXX to put the repairs in writing on my contract so he did, so I can use my warranty, since it still under Carhops warranty you get when you buy the car, and I only had 1 day thus far so it reads as follow : Warranty covers period of 18 months from date of contract or 18,000 miles beyond the mileage provided on page one of contract, whichever occurs first. Cover Parts include Engine all internally, see warranty page. Carhop dont honor their own contract We Owe : We acknowledge that as a condition of sale of the Vehicle, we will perform the following services within 20 days of the date of purchase. Wheel noise, shaking or vibrating and the interior filthy. See sale contract I have been fighting with Carhop since XX/XX/XXXX to fix my car, I will show you proof that Carhop have been SCAMMING me and the public ever since they open in XX/XX/XXXX. I will show proof that Carhop is still lying to me and the consumer about helping them improve their credit, and I am including the law sue against Carhop for doing this, and they are targeting vulnerable low-income customer for high-cost/high profit sales and loan, but to top everything off The Cars Dont Run. I have proof that Carhop is doing illegal business practices by selling me and the consumers a XXXX cars, and disclosing all damages are well as recalls from the buyers and selling salvage cars and putting the consumers lives in danger. My name is XXXX XXXX and I have been a loyal and patience customer of Carhop since XX/XX/XXXX and they have taken advantage of my kindness, and I want to be made whole, because I have been paying my car payment on time faithfully up until they set me up by telling me to Stop paying. I have been paying on this XXXX up until XX/XX/XXXX when I thought I was working with the branch managers at the XXXX office where I brought the car from, because they were speaking as if they were really going to help or fix my car. I have documented everything that had to do with Carhop because, after Carhop telling me to take my car to varies shops and dont fix any work on my car but would lie and put it in writing that they did, but I have proof the car not fixed. Carhop had XXXX XXXX XXXX lie about fixing my car, they said that they did {$1300.00} work on my car and {$75.00} for the warranty fee but when I had it towed to XXXX XXXX which was not part of Carhop shops and he did the diagnostic which revealed that the Engine light was still on and nothing was done. Have this also in writing. Carhop owners XXXX XXXX and partners dont care that the cars sometimes cause injuries to people by them having an accident due to car not being safe for the road and that dont still fix the cars. Carhop opt out fixing the cars before you even buy them, but it too late because they have already got you to sign on the dotted line, Carhop say that they inspected the cars before you buy them but that is not a true statement base on the testimony from an employee. Carhop are selling cars and putting Defective, Unsafe, Recalled, vehicles on the public highways, roadways and school roads and theses cars are Not Safe. It needs to be know that Carhop Dont let you pick out the car they do and all this is done After you sign on the dotted line and thats the only way they will let you see the car, IS THIS LEGAL, I have enclose other in other cities and state that Carhop does this too. I am going to enclose proof that Carhop, discriminate against customers with credit score over 500, because they cant mess up their credit, but prey on customers that are struggling with their credit, but need assistance. Carhop changes my information on the contract after I sign it by taking out moving figures around like they offer you a car for {$8000.00} and you sign it to be final but when they bring back the amount is changes and they say oh its a type o and it will get fix. Carhop sold me a car that needed an Engine and Tranny at the time of purchase and Never told me and more so when I find out thats I told Carhop and thought they was going to fix but No, I get the run around by telling me to take my car to this and that shop and know they not going to fix. I want Carhop to be held accountable for selling me a car that I have not drove since XX/XX/XXXX, Carhop have been playing games and Now it XX/XX/XXXX I get a letter from Carhop saying that they intent to sale my car. Now I talk to XXXX yesterday and she told me to bring my car over the office so they can see what work needed to be done. Now I am confused because I am here at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX who just told me that XXXX decline to fix me car, if you read my story of what I have been going through and what I want from Carhop. So on XX/XX/XXXX I traded in my XXXX and filled out the papers for the XXXX and I told XXXX that I took it to get checked out by a mechanic and it needed repairs, he responded back that he would take care just take to their mechanic and they will fix it. Little did I know at the time I would be still at the same situation with the car now here XX/XX/XXXX, I have not driven my car this year but I have been paying all my car payment up until one of the XXXX, Ca. XXXX Branch manager XXXX told me in my face with XXXX and XXXX aboard, on XX/XX/XXXX while visiting the car lot not to make any more payment because they were going to get me out of the car, but never happen Now the car is tow back to Carhop, after a month sitting at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX telling me if I left it there after today XX/XX/XXXX he would charge me {$48.00} dollar storage, I told him I thought that Carhop pick up or paid for the car to be fixed he said the Carhop Decline to pay any labor but would pay the diagnostic fee of {$68.00} which is what Carhop did. I have receive varies calls from Carhop during this time for car payment even after I was told not to pay, but no calls about my car repairs. Now I spoke with my branch manager back in XX/XX/XXXX, I walked into the office and spoke with XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and both times in person and each time she indicates she is working on getting me out of the XXXX, and into another car. XX/XX/XXXX I return back to Carhop office and spoke with XXXX and she is short with her words and saying that she is still working on my case, and she points to some papers on her desk. I asked her how much long is it going to be and she said that the person that makes those decisions is in a all-day meeting and it out of state, I said ok and left to wait for her Call. On XX/XX/XXXX Call Carhop the XXXX office number which is XXXX That never happen because here XX/XX/XXXX, stating that she is confused about putting me into another car, and I am 45 days late on my car payment. I am in shock because its like a set-up, XXXX and XXXX tells me not to make any more car payments because they are going to get me out of the car since its not fix able. XX/XX/XXXX on this day I kept calling Carhop and they either put me on hold until their phone hung up or they would say that they were going to transfer me and hang up, this went on for at least a week or so. XX/XX/XXXX I went up to Carhop office and was told that there were no supervisor on site and to come back tomorrow, I thought that was weird, but I left after waiting for an hour. XX/XX/XXXX Called the XXXX number and spoke with XXXX XXXX I made here spell her name out to me, but she said I was 36 days late on my payment, I tried to explain that the Branch managers at the XXXX Ca. office XXXX and XXXX told me to stop paying until they put me into a running car. She said that she had no knowledge of that and would have to I check the notes and if I would hold, I did and when she came back she informed me that I needed to pay up before they fix my car. I was shock at that statement, since they told me not to pay, so it was a set up to put me into REPO. XX/XX/XXXX received call from XXXX she was going on about how confused she is and that she didnt remember everything that was said, she kept denying that was said I told her that I needed to go that she was sending my already XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and I wouldnt talk to her. I told her that she was upsetting me with her lying and saying now I am late on my car payments, so I said by and hung up. XX/XX/XXXX tried calling all the numbers Carhop has and had to repeat myself at least 3 times to three different and they still hung up on me and it took 20 minutes. XX/XX/XXXX I called all day but only get far as my info then wait then hang up, I see why now after I told Carhop that I had No intention on paying one dime on fixing my car because that is what I been trying to get you to do since I brought the car on XX/XX/XXXX, now all the hang ups call with no messages and when I answer they hang up. Then on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX t I start getting harassing calls from Carhop .consumers cars that are salvages or flood damage and they just clear all code. Now the car is tow back to Carhop, after a month sitting at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX telling me if I left it there after today XX/XX/XXXX he would charge me {$48.00} dollar storage, I told him I thought that Carhop is supposed to pick up the car and he said No that I am to get my car. He also said that said the Carhop Decline to pay any labor but would pay only the diagnostic fee of {$68.00} which is what Carhop did, I owner of XXXX XXXX XXXX explained to me that my car is costing him money and he want it out of his shop, I repeated that Carhop is supposed to pick it up. Long story short I bargain with the owner and told him if he helped me I would help him and have my car towed back to Carhop, now I didnt tell the owner that I just had spoken with XXXX at Carhop and she told me to send my car back and she would see that I got another car. While I was still in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, I called my insurance and explained that I wanted my car towed back to the dealer across the street, XXXX XXXX called me back with the ETA time I gave it to the owner and left the shop XX/XX/XXXX the mailman came up to me with a certified letter from Carhop, it was a Notice of intention to dispose of motor vehicle. I went to the XXXX, XXXX office to speak with a Manager that is over XXXX at Carhop and asked what was going on about this letter I just receive in mail. The only manager in the officer per XXXX was her and I would have to wait a minute and she would be right with me, I was fine with that since XXXX was the first manager I had to deal before XXXX. So I explained it all over again to XXXX what I had spoken with XXXX and said that she told me just two days ago to have my car tow here to be fixed, and they were putting me in another car. She said to give her a minute to go see what notes was put in the system since XXXX is off today, then she comes back seconds later to tell me I was 49 days late and that why my car is in Repo stage. Carhop preplan this and I am going to show proof that this is what Carhop do to All customer who buy a car from them, It common practice that they do this in all Carhop business and I have and enclosed proof. I take a deep breath and once again try and explain that I was told my management to stop paying due to them putting me in another car, but I say to XXXX that I have been waiting on Carhop to fix my car and I have been paying my car payments on time up until the Branch manager told me different. XXXX continual to tell me that I was 49 days late and not even allowing me to get a word in, so I tell her that I know that this document that they mailed to me is not a release of me and the car, but it is a Voluntary Repo, and I wont sign the papers and I left the office. XX/XX/XXXX been getting threating calls from Carhop regarding my car, and as I told them I will not sign the papers and they can not make me, so they just keep calling me from different numbers. Carhop like if they keep calling and saying that I breach my contract, and say that its my fault that I got a car that dont run, I told the people that now were not giving me their names or number. Carhop called again and said that she was recording the conversation for training purposes I told her good, because I was recording it too, then she said that she now couldnt speak with me until I call on a unsecure line, I told her not to count on it, she replied back with then I cant talk and hang up. XX/XX/XXXX I am trying to get this document in the mail and off my laptop, but Carhop, keeps calling and hanging up and when I try to call back it say the number you call is not in service, this is there way of intimidation and retaliation, that why Carhop has to be Stop Selling junk cars for thousands of dollars to unsuspected person, stop Carhop from disclosing important information about the cars they Sells. I know Carhop wants to hurry up and get rid of my car but I went over to Carhop in XXXX, Ca XXXX office and took pictures of my car on Carhop property and it dated so if they sell it before I get help. Every document that I am submitting will proof that Carhop is Shady, Unethical, and in poor community is a poverty profiteering long shark and only after the poor to make the owner XXXX XXXX richer. I have enclosed documents to help get me out of this contract and get my money back from these crooks. I enclose all the people that have something to do with Carhop so it will be easy for the investor to find who is liable. If you read the repair fixing the problem diagnostic report Carhop tells them to clear the codes several time as their way of I have had time to research this company since I had so much time to figure out what to do, so I look on line and found out, that Carhop makes money on selling I have waited long enough for Carhop to do the right thing by me so I am now taking action into my own hands and I am contacting : The Attorney General Office, BBB, Local Media and BAR well as CFPB, to see if that will stop Carhop from lying to make a buck off the poor people and damage their credit too. This is what I XXXX XXXX want from Carhop and I want it in ten ( 10 ) days of receiving this notice or a call from Attorney General Office, BBB or Call XXXX XXXX, CFPB, CARS and Dept. of Consumers Affairs Bureau of Automotive Repair ( BAR ), I will also take time out and Picket his business with other customers that was done wrong. Carhop should be SHUT DOWN and Put Out Of Business and pay back all the people that they have Scammed over the years and that a lot of people across the State. Due to all of the complaints the consumers have put in that have went unanswered. This is what I want from Carhop within 10 days from the time they receive the Information. This is how Carhop got me to buy this junk : XXXX said to bring the car in tomorrow ( XX/XX/XXXX ), for their mechanic can do a full check out the car and fix the engine light and the ASB light stayed faulty on hood as well as the things on the list they put in the contract to be fixed. On XX/XX/XXXX picked up the car it ran fine no noises nor was the engine light on so I thought everything was fixed. On XX/XX/XXXX was driving my client to XXXX when she smelled fuses and started coughing, I had to borrow my daughters car to pick up my client that day and I told Carhop and once again told me to take it to XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I drove the car to XXXX, Ca Airport on the way back it started making noises and you can smell gas fuses I called Car Hop again and they told me to take it back to that same mechanic XXXX XXXX and tell him what happen. I called the XXXX XXXX to get appointment and to see how long it would take and if they had a loaner car he said no and he would need to keep the car a few days to check it out. It took me a few days to take the car in due to I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX and I needed to find someone to give me a ride back and watch my client until I get back. This shop is not certified nor do it have the equipment to test my car and I ask him for paper of what he did, he said get it from Car Hop. I went and took the car in on XX/XX/XXXX against my better judgement, and told him what I smelled fuses and engine light was on again and it what happen after a long drive, he said that he would need to keep the car for a few days and will call when car is ready. I also told him that when I picked up the car I want a paper telling me what was done to my car, he told me that I need to get it from Car Hop, I said why he cant give it to me he said that is how Car Hop wanted to do it I left not happy because Carhop acted like they didnt know what I was talking about. I drove the car home and within two day the engine light came on and the mechanic at XXXX XXXX said my car might need an oil change, and that it was my responsibly, I asked him why you didnt do it when he had my car in his shop he said its not under warranty. On XX/XX/XXXX I took it to XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Ca XXXX XXXX XXXX and they did an oil change and filter which cost me {$68.00} and they told me that my oil cap was glued on and they had to glue it back on but it will affect my oil pressure so go back to mechanic. I needed to take it back to Car Hop mechanic. I took it back to the mechanic on XX/XX/XXXX that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Ca XXXX, who had original work on the car when I first got it fixed. He told me make appointment and he will check it out. He looks at it and tells me that he can not fix it and I need to order one or go to junk yard and get one because he dont have one and cant order one. I was shock with my mouth open wide so I left not knowing what to do but call Carhop. Now the car is still under warranty and Car Hop still giving me the run around so I call Car Hop XXXX number to speak with someone higher up to find out that there are none I had my son-in-law look at the car since the engine light was still on and it brought up sensor codes : XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, he informed he that these codes are serious and I need to make Carhop fix it since I am under warranty. On XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, every day from that point trying to get Carhop to honor the contract but all I would get was the run around or lied to or hung up on. On XX/XX/XXXX I started looking up Carhop complaints online about carhop and was shock to find out what I am going through is the standard practice. On XX/XX/XXXX called Carhop told them everything that was told to me by the mechanic and XXXX shop and asked the way they going to do, the Rep said let her put information in the system and someone will get back with you, but no one did. On XX/XX/XXXX I was driving and the engine light came on and it start smoking so I take it to side tree mechanic and he put it on the machine and sensor codes came up so I was told that those codes can be serious and I needed to take it back to Carhop and make them fix it. I called Car Hop and explained to them that I am still having problems with this car and it is still under warranty and I want it fixed and I dont want to go back to the same Mechanic XXXX and we went round over them not wanting to fix the car even those its under warranty. XXXX, gave me XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Ca. XXXX XXXX, I called them to make appointment, and they told me that they were not taking any more of Car Hop clients. I begged XXXX XXXX XXXX to take me and I told them all the problems I have been having to get it fixed. The female Rep agree to fix my car, I told her it would be towed here, she said she needed to speak with boss and Car Hop and would get back with me and that took weeks for Carhop to even listen let alone authorize it to be fixed. On XX/XX/XXXX I took the family out XXXX shopping at the mall and we were in there two or more hours, when we got out to the car and started it up it start making a lawn more sound and the engine light was on I drove the car to my apartment and that was the last time that car was drove. On XX/XX/XXXX called Carhop asked them what do you plan on doing about the car one again on hold and the hung up now if my car payment was not paid they would have spoken to me only about when I plan on paying. I continual to call Carhop but they were rude or had no information for you even those they say they are your Rep. All through XX/XX/XXXX I would call Carhop continual 3-4 times a day even if they hung up or kept me on hold for a period of time, I did not give up then they agreed to fix the engine. On XX/XX/XXXX rented a car from XXXX and have been until XX/XX/XXXX at my expense because I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX and I transport clients to and from appointments and XXXX and Carhop knew this but was not concern. On XX/XX/XXXX my insurance XXXX XXXX towed my car from my home to XXXX XXXX XXXX to sit their shop for weeks before Carhop responded. On XX/XX/XXXX Carhop authorize the repair for XXXX XXXX XXXX to figure out what is wrong with the car my XXXX, so I had my insurance XXXX XXXX tow the car to the shop. On XX/XX/XXXX walk it XXXX XXXX XXXX as him if he could perform a pre-purchase inspection on my car and I will have it towed here, he said when ready just call or just drop off when you are ready. On XX/XX/XXXX received a call from XXXX rep telling me that the problem with my car is it needs a new engine, and Car Hop will supply it I never received a call from Carhop at any time even now regarding my car. Car Hop is to send over the engine on XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXX and once they get it they will install it. I said to the Rep what if it dont work the female rep said if when I check it and find out it not worth fixing, I will TOTAL IT OUT. On XX/XX/XXXX Carhop send over a used engine to Cooks auto repair according to the Rep, I ask her why used not new she said the Carhop gets the used engine from the junk yard if the can find them, and in my research in the carhop I found the to be true about where the get their parts for cars at. I paid for a car fax on XX/XX/XXXX on the VIN # # XXXX, for {$99.00} to find out as much about this car. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from XXXX XXXX XXXX, saying that my car is fixed and I need to pick it up, and pay a warranty fee of {$75.00} I asked was my car fixed they reply back with we put the engine in. I asked if it was test driven they said they just do what Carhop says and that was to put the engine in. I told the Rep that is why I am taking it to be checked out to see if it is fixed, that when the male said well the engine light is still on. I said then its not fix, they reply we did what was told to do By Carhop, I had it tow to a XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX my insurance company picked up the car from XXXX and towed it to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX, Ca XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX did a pre-purchased inspection for {$110.00} he found codes appearing so he needed to labor check end up costing {$260.00} plus and found other problems that would require more money to check I told him no I just needed to that information but put it on the contract so Carhop can see what all wrong with the car. On XX/XX/XXXX I spoke with XXXX and he told me that the car wasnt worth fixing if I just brought it that if it under warranty take it back, so had insurance tow it home with the engine light still on, call Car Hop see what they are going to do with this new information once again hung up put on hold. Called Carhop onXX/XX/XXXX to spoke with my manger XXXX about my car engine light still on and that XXXX XXXX XXXX said my car was fix, when it wasnt and that they only did what Carhop told them to do and at that point XXXX is when she became rude and put me on hold which end up hanging up on me. I called back and XXXX transfer me to another manager name XXXX but this one is at the site I brought my car at. Once again waited no XXXX and phone hung up so nothing done on that day, so waited for them to call me which didnt happen. On XX/XX/XXXX went into the XXXX office and spoke with XXXX told her what I have been going through to get my car fixed and that it is still under warranty, he then XXXX came and she was no help either and they are both in Management they said go home and someone will contact you on what they going to do. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a warning. UAC intends to disable the starter on my car, I reply go ahead it hasnt ran since before XX/XX/XXXX, I told that the car not fixed and I have been paying car payments but no car. On XX/XX/XXXX called Carhop and spoke to a manger name XXXX, I told her what happen when I went into the XXXX office so she called from her office and she was transfer then the call end up with a hang up, she said that they are busy that why the call ended that way. I left and went home and called Carhop and spoke with XXXX but he had no information to help and I just said thank you and hung up, no one ever called me back eitherXX/XX/XXXX On XX/XX/XXXX received a text message from Carhop saying I can skip a payment for the car not working. On XX/XX/XXXX spoke with Car Hop on what to do about my car XXXX said that she is going to have to put car in shop to see what is wrong and I can choose from their list, told her dont want XXXX XXXX XXXX, she gave me a list of 9 Authorized Service shops to pick and I picked XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to check my car out. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX the Branch manager also told me to stop my car payments until they find out what they going to do about the car. On XX/XX/XXXX I received text saying We may be able to help with repairs issues call UAC/Carhop Finance and I did went to the local office here in XXXX, Ca on XXXX XXXX. spoke with several ladies from XXXX, to XXXX, XXXX and no real help said that she was going to get me out of the XXXX and into another one but first have to get approve from Finance Company. On XX/XX/XXXX I had my insurance tow my car to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX. Ca XXXX XXXX, I didnt give this company the information I got from XXXX, because I wanted to see what if any he found out. On XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX XXXX I received a voice message from XXXX XXXX XXXX am saying this is XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX auto calling about your car um the battery was dead when it was tow to our shop. We charge the battery and drove it 10 miles before it ran out of gas. He then went on to ask me what I wanted to do at this point. I said so you ran all the gas out and dont know what wrong with the car just saying it run fine even with engine light on. He asked me if I wanted him to put gas in the car and if he did it would cost me, but that the only way to see what wrong with the car, I told he to hold on and I need to call Carhop. He end up driving my car a total of 70 miles and didnt know what was wrong until I gave him the repair paper I got from XXXX XXXX XXXX and he was shock. On XX/XX/XXXX Went to XXXX Office and spoke with XXXX the Branch Manager and XXXX XXXX Branch Manager and they told me that they were going to get me out of the car since I showed her the paper from XXXX saying that is not worth fixing but she have to get with finance and ask me to wait. On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX went into the XXXX office and spoke with Branch manage XXXX XXXX he said that she is waiting for a call from finance but they are in another state in an all-day meeting, she pointed down to some papers on her desk and said see your fourth in line. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX saying that he XXXX from Carhop came over and put gas in the car and they drove it another 20 miles and it runs fine he then said ok even with engine light on, No one cares that the engine light is on they just keep wiping it out and it will last another 70 or so miles before it comes back on. He then said ok even with engine light on, No one cares that the engine light is on they just keep wiping it out and it will last another 50 or so miles before it comes back on. I went back to the XXXX office XX/XX/XXXX, to see if XXXX had made any progress and find out no she says she is still waiting that is when I decided to call state Attorney General Office and put in a complaint. I have been very patient with Carhop but I feel I am being used, I brought a car inXX/XX/XXXX and only got little use and been paying on it since. I have been in a rental for 6 months so far and its costing me, and I pay car not twice a month XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX {$240.00} and car insurance {$100.00} registration due {$240.00}, car rental {$230.00} weekly but changes every 4 weeks and I have been renting since XX/XX/XXXX until Now, I needed a big car for two XXXX. Carhop has a Reputation for scamming people by selling cars from salvage yards, and XXXX defective cars, their inventory of cars they advertise on television are not the cars they have you see. The cars are junk, and they put unsuspected consumer into exorbitant price cars even if it dont have a motor or engine or run worth. I purchased the XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX in XXXX, Washington in XX/XX/XXXX. The sales person was XXXX and the manager was XXXX. From the very beginning I had nothing but problems with the car. Within the first 2 days my car shut off completely in the middle of an intersection. I got it started after 5 or 10 minutes and then drove again. A week later it stopped completely again at another intersection and I had to have it towed to another town to the only place that XXXX XXXX would allow me to take it, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. The fixed it under the warranty. A while alter the starter died, I was forced to take it back to the same place. They replaced the starter but the garage would not release the car because they said I needed an EG valve and in order to get that I would need to replace the catalytic converter which were not covered under the warranty since. I could not afford that so the mechanic said he would have to replace the engine, which IS under warranty and therefore replacing the cat. As well. I was without my car for 6 weeks a completely unacceptable time to be without a car. Not long after I had to have the entire brake system replaced and the tires replaced. This, according to XXXX XXXX had forfeited my warranty because I had another mechanic work on it rather than their approved mechanic XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. However, I was not willing to be without my car for another 6 weeks. I had not had the care for even a year and I had now put in over {$2000.00} worth of work on a car that was only worth about {$500.00} at the time. After getting the car back I experienced several issues with their poor customer service and contacted the CFPB ( the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ) and put in a complaint for poor business practices. The CFPB then forwarded the issue and its details to the Federal Trade Commission. Within a month I was in contact with a woman named XXXX XXXX at the financing company for XXXX XXXX ( WA ) / Universal Acceptance Corporation ( UAC in Minnesota ). After several emails and calls an agreement was made to cut the remaining balance of what I owed by half and that would make my LAST payment to be on XX/XX/XXXX. We agreed That I would continue my payments of the same amount XXXX every two weeks until that date at that point my car would be paid in full and I would receive the title. I did this with on time payments until XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX was informed by XXXX of this issue as were other employees at the XXXX WA location and all were aware of this In XXXX of XXXX I was forced to leave my apartment and move across the state to XXXX to live with family. I had continued my payments and was only scheduled to pay 5 more until it was paid off AS AGREED on XX/XX/XXXX. The car was such a lemon that I did not feel safe driving it over the mountain pass and into the desert where it would undoubtedly brake down or stop working. I arranged to have the car transported using a company called XXXX XXXX based out of New York. I was to receive my last paycheck from my job by direct deposit on Thursday XX/XX/XXXX therefore I asked for the car to be picked in XXXX on Tuesday XX/XX/XXXX and delivered NO EARLIER than XX/XX/XXXX. I was to pay XXXX ( NY ) {$210.00} and pay cash of {$250.00} to the driver they'd brokered to bring the car. On Tuesday XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from a man with a middle eastern accent and a strange name, He said he had the car in XXXX and was needing payment now to deliver it. I told him that the car was not to be delivered until Thursday XX/XX/XXXX as I would not have the money to pay until then. He refused to deliver my car at all, he said he was going to bring it back to XXXX and That I would have to pay {$500.00} to get it as well as any storage fee. I would like to add here that there is no proof whatsoever that he was EVER in XXXX, as far as I know he NEVER LEFT XXXX with my car. I did not have a job and could not afford that. I called him and told him I was still willing to pay the {$250.00} to get my car. He said He would not deliver it until I could pay {$500.00} but he was willing to pay the storage fee. I told him that he was holding my car for ransom and therefore he had stolen my car. He still refused to deliver it and now he said I had to pay a minimum of {$750.00} If I wanted my car back. Being that the car was stolen I called the police in both XXXX and XXXX, they said they would not allow me to file a stolen car report because this was a civil case and if I wanted help I would need to bring a lawsuit against him. I then called XXXX, they said that it was out of their hands and that I would have to speak to the driver from now on and they hung up on me. I was able to track down my car by GPS and discovered it was in front of the driver 's house in XXXX, WA in a nice neighborhood. I then called XXXX XXXX and proposed a plan that could assist me and them as well. I told I know that you can only repossess a car if the payments had not been made. But since I had only 5 payments left on the car ( according to the agreement settled on earlier ) I would be willing to stop the payments and have them repossess the car into their location at which time I was willing to pay the balance in full to get it out of repo status and get my car back. I had even suggested that they could have it repossessed to their XXXX XXXX location in XXXX if that would be easier. However, this was unacceptable to XXXX, the manager he said I would have to pay the complete balance of nearly {$3000.00} to get the car back and he was not willing to bend at all. I have been without my car for a year now. My sister and I have had to take the bus with homeless drug addicts and derelicts all this time and it was nearly impossible to find work until now. I recently received a notice from a tow company demanding over {$4000.00} to get the car out of in impound. I no longer live in XXXX and can not retrieve the car under any circumstances.. This car should have been repossessed and should be back in the care of XXXX XXXX in XXXX. I AM DISPUTING THE ACCOUNT ON THIS REPORT FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS. ACCORDING TO THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION, THE CONSUMER FINANCIAL PROTECTION DEPARTMENT, AND UNIVERSAL ACCEPTANCE CORP. I DO NOT OWE THIS AMOUNT. THE AMOUNT I I OWE IS ONLY {$880.00}. Which I am willing to pay to settle the account and have this removed from my credit reports even though the car is only worth {$330.00} or less according to XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX is a disreputable company and has sold me a lemon. Under the lemon law they are required to fix the mechanical issues with the car and they refused. I resent the way I was treated in all of these matters described in this complaint. I resent that they ignored a decision made LEGALLY by a UAC employee to reduce the amount owed. The refused to assist me in getting my car back. They are still in possession of the title of the car and are the only ones responsible to retrieving the car out of impound. The manager XXXX should be charged with Gross misconduct and Poor Business practices in every aspect of my complaint. He was a failure at doing his job and should be dismissed. He offered no customer service no assistance at all in helping a customer with this disastrous situation. In fact he went out of his way to be disrespectful, nasty and unprofessional every time I had to deal with him. XXXX XXXX/ UAC failed to keep their end of the deal put in place regarding the balance and the complaint with the FTC and the CFPB. XXXX has misrepresented themselves and brokered the job to a disreputable and untrustworthy driver. They collected the {$210.00} I paid them then washed their hands of the situation. Obviously, I have become a victim of Scam, swindles and theft and I do not feel that these companies should go unpunished. I am willing to pay {$880.00} to receive my title and get my car back. I would also expect this dispute to show on my credit report and I expect that when I settle this for the {$880.00} I owe and for this to be removed from my a credit report completely. I am making this offer officially, I will pay {$880.00} to XXXX XXXX/UAC to return my call and register it as Paid in Full. I will pay the driver of the truck the {$250.00} agreed to in the signed agreement with XXXX to have my car returned in tact without damage with all property inside returned as well. Hello, Im writing in regards about a Car Company CarHop in XXXX California. Im purchasing and I'm financing a car with them. I have not had a chance to drive my car long due to the fact it has been in the shop twice now. I do understand that all Cars are used, the car that CarHop sold to me was dangerous and should have never been sold to anyone. The car was dangerous just being on the highway, the car could have not passed a safety inspection. CarHop Financed and sold me a car with bad back brakes pads, broken engine mounts, both front wheel hub and bearing broken, front axle was broken, transmission mount broken, alternator went out on the Sixth day I had the car, along with bad bald tires. I received the car XX/XX/XXXX. The car went into the shop XX/XX/XXXX to be repaired. In the beginning they were refusing to fix the problems. I also asked the Sales Manager at CaHop in XXXX if there was a better car I could have, he said No, the only other car was a XXXX XXXX. I also asked the Finance Manager could the Price and the Payments be lowered, I was told No. The mufflers were hanging off the car and were replaced the next day XX/XX/XXXX after I insisted they needed to be replaced! I had to take it to one of their Authorized shops on their list, the Men at the Muffler shop seen that the Mufflers needed to be replaced. The Mufflers has holes in them, they were all bent up cracked and opened. Prior, CarHop told me that the Mufflers were fine and they just needed to be mounted, they also told me that the car had been inspected and it was safe to drive. That was not true, the car had broken Axle and wheel bearing, thats very dangerous to even have a car on the Highway. The first time the Car went to the shop, it was there 12 days. I drove the car for two days because it was having problems again, I took the car in on a Monday, XX/XX/XXXX again, I was told the Alternator was bad by the Mechanic, CarHop Service department ordered a used bad Alternator the 1st time, the 2nd time they ordered a new Alternator. I did receive a call stating that my car will be ready on Tuesday XX/XX/XXXX, I had to wait because it had to be ordered. None of this is right at all, Im just seeing Im not the only person that has been giving a Dangerous car to Finance. I have been reading many horror stories about other People experiences with CarHop mor and more everyday. The car broke down in 7 days, I had to ask them if they could repair what needed to be fix, at first they denied it. I had to send a email to the CEO of the company. Prior to asking about the repairs, I asked if there was a better working car? The answer was no. The second time the car broke down because CarHop purchased a used alternator. I have asked CarHop in person and over the phone twice could they lower the purchase of the car and the payments, they refused too. I then sent a email asking the CEO about the price and payments of the car, I received a response from his team and I was denied the request. CarHop was very deceitful by telling me the Car was inspected, I even had one of the Staff Drive the car while I was in the car and I asked about a noise coming from the engine, the Manager even told me the car was good. I was told the sound was normal. The car could have Not been inspected from the beginning. Anything could of happened on the Highway in the car, the Axile was broken, both frontwheel-bearing broken. Im sad, I cant believe all this, they would put a person through, I have been very Patient and at the same time hurt over this. Its unbelievable! I Purchased the car on XX/XX/XXXX Drove the car a few days then in the shop 12 days drove the car 2 days then took back to the shop. I have been spending money, I really dont have on XXXX. I should not be catching XXXX at all. Yes, they have fixed the problems on the car, but whos to say whats next with the car, the Tires are bad and they refuse to replace the tires, the price $ XXXX the price should be {$1500.00} for this the car. So, I am a young XXXX male consumer of carhop in XXXX, wa. Unfortunately i have encountered some of their unfair practices. My car is a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Things were ok when I first purchased this vehicle and some their disorganization and trustworthiness started to diminish as I ran into issues. I have missed a couple of these payments in XXXX and I made two payments in prior months and became current on my payments on XX/XX/XXXX. Prior to these dates my car was inoperable. My check engine light was on and I was already reassured by carhop that they most likely would not recover it. I paid my bill late but surely was not aware of any disabling device prior to buying the car or at this point. My bill was current and my car was inoperable as of XX/XX/XXXX so I had no clue to what was the issue with car was. My friend as a kindness decided to fix my vehicle but even he had trouble with the vehicle and even figuring out what was the actual issue with it. Having no prior knowledge of an interlock device installed on my vehicle, I presumed it was a mechanical issue. My car was stuck at my job for several days and I had to rely on my friends knowledge of cars and kindness on vehicles. During this time I was not contacted once by carhop and was convinced it was a mechanical issue. I had to troubleshoot my own car during work hours and after work. He checked the starter, the battery, the alternator, all of the fuses, and all of the other parts as well. He spent 4 days of this while I spent the money troubleshooting for a car that had all of these problems. It wasn't until my friend told me that there was an interlock on the car that I realized the issue on the vehicle. He unconnected unknowingly trying to figure out what was wrong with it after several days of troubleshooting and me purchasing parts! He disconnected it and it started up every single time. I don't have that much knowledge of cars so my friend put it back on. So, at this point after them not fixing a mechanical issue with the car, installing a device on the car without my knowledge, and disabling the car I had little faith in this company overall and their abusive practices. I am a legal driver in the state of Washington and installing a device on a vehicle without my knowledge is illegal. Later on next month I had two fraudulent charges, charged to my bank account. This offset me but I paid two car payments on the XXXX and thought that this put me ahead. My bank reset my account and I thought I was in the clear. My automatic payments were disconnected from my bank account but I had no inclination to this until a couple of days ago. Carhop and their reposession service took my car 2 days ago with no messages or no letters on my behalf stating that there was late payments.These practices seem unfair and abusive to me, and from reading their reviews they tend to prey on younger victims trying to fix their credit. Also during this time I have a XXXX XXXX and have been sent home from work because of it, and not having a car is making my life more difficult. I was already supposed to pick up my XXXX yesterday and I couldnt because I did not have a vehicle. I feel very attacked and harassed by this company, even though prior to XXXX all of my payments were on time. I arrived to the lot in a XXXX, and I spoke to customer service even though they were very dismissive. They promptly put me on the phone with customer service and told me I owed a total of 4 missed payments of {$190.00} and a {$380.00} fee for the repossession for a total of XXXX. But if you look at the dates between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX for a total of XXXX, which is less than a biweekly period my account should have been current. They also informed me that I would have to check if the device was tampered with and call my employer as well. Their customer service members agent was very rude and told me I was lucky to get it back.

Due to the great recession, my credit has been low since XXXX. I somewhat re-established my credit through Carhop after 2 attempts to payoff a vehicle finally happened in XXXX. A year later, it began to die. I was approved through XXXX for a new XXXX XXXX. Loss of job the next week put me behind. I caught up & almost instantly was forced to move due to a toxic relationship. The finance manager informed me I needed to surrender the car, I could n't afford it, & regardless how much towards the balance I paid it would be repossessed. It was a week later taken & I was stranded. I got a Lyft to Carhop & worked with XXXX, the lot manager at the XXXX branch. He was wonderful. Despite UAC 's 5-hour response time & refusal to finance anything but a XXXX XXXX XXXX ( which decreased my income by a big chunk as I was an XXXX & the XXXX failed to pass the XXXX & gt ; 10 years old requirement ), XXXX deserves high praise & a much better company for which to work. The XXXX I took for a rapid test drive as I was trying to make it to a work shift ( already 2 hours late by this time ). I noted the brakes seemed to have difficulty gripping & the hood latch was gone. XXXX promised to get the issues resolved. After signing, I noticed almost immediately the car 's brakes were completely shot as were the struts & especially rear shocks & thermostat. This car was dangerous to drive. I informed XXXX instantly the following morning & we got the car confirmed through XXXX XXXX of the issues I had cited. 4 days later, UAC denied the repairs as they did not fall under warranty responsibilities. However, the 7-day customer satisfaction guarantee helped XXXX get all but the front struts repaired. The process : over 2 weeks. During that time, I had to replace 3 bulbs & 4 fuses. The check engine light I had checked which alerted a " vapor leak '' aka it needed a new gas cap. I replaced the cap and weeks later, the light remains on. The real issue was payment & my finance manager. I had gotten a sizeable advance in order to pay on my XXXX, but it was taken the next morning. I therefore used that money to put down on the XXXX XXXX {$470.00} XXXX. This cut into my rent nearly 80 %. I spent the next several weeks trying to catch up. The XXXX payment for the XXXX was 2 weeks after purchase. A car wash where I had used my debit card had charged me 3 times ( $ XXXX ) which caused my UAC payment to bounce back. I was unaware of this as the 3 transactions nearly-equaled my bi-weekly payment for the XXXX. I was n't aware until I got the text from UAC stating my XXXX 's starter had been disabled. I had no clue this was part of the agreement I 'd signed. I knew there was a GPS chip, but I had no idea if I was a little late that Carhop would shut my car off. A large enough portion of my income relies on my vehicle & getting to my 2 other jobs requires I have a vehicle. On XX/XX/XXXX, the UAC payment was due to automatically take out my Ion payment. On Monday, I knew my XXXX payment was due to come out as well. Yet somehow, the XXXX payment processed a day early & UAC did not process their payment until afterwards. I called Carhop & XXXX informed me my finance manager was out on a family emergency. I spoke to UAC, offered the {$130.00} I had of the {$190.00} due, they would not accept a partial payment, I expressed my concerns about the car being shut off, they said it had " not gotten to that point yet '', the next morning I missed a call from I assume my finance manager, and instantly afterwards, I got the " cut off '' text. I had to cancel delivering the rest of the afternoon to ensure my car made it home. I had kept up on my end of " keeping communication open '' & still got shut off. It had been ONE BUSINESS DAY & I was shut out of driving my vehicle. This feels wrong, immoral, and is a ridiculous practice. 1 business day is n't enough.

This is the second complaint I have filed for this same issue. CFPB claim # is XXXX. The day after I bought the car a XXXX XXXX, it stopped dead in the road twice and I had to have it towed to a mechanic, I could only use the mechanics that they told me to or I would be voiding my warranty. I took it there and also found out that my catalytic converter was about to go, I was unable to use my car for a month. Because I had to pay to have it fixed and made limited money at the time I was late on a payment. Apparently, it is Car Hops policy to install a special device before I buy it that enables them to remotely disable my car. They would disable my car the day after I was late on my car without notice. This among other things was why I reported them to the CFPB for poor business practices and harassments. Please see the attached email that I sent to UAC when they did not follow through with their promises to cut my balance in half. Hello, I am a bit confused. When last we spoke and I agreed to an arrangement that was recommended by the complaint I filed with the CFPB and we agreed my balance was to be brought down to {$2100.00}., and that my payments were going to be around XXXX. However the UAC website still showed the same balance and that my payment on XX/XX/XXXX will still be XXXX. I received a letter today that states the same thing. I also reported them to the FTC. Under the impression that I only had only this amount to pay to pay off the loan I continued to pay My monthly payment of {$170.00} on time. In XXXX of XXXX I was forced to move to XXXX. Because the car was so unreliable I decided to have it transported. At this point I thought I only owed a remainder of {$750.00}. The car transport company refused to deliver my car ( it was supposed to be delivered on a Friday ... when I would be receiving my last pay check ) but they 'claimed ' they tried to deliver it on a Tuesday and demanded payment. *this was all by phone '' they never brought the car to my home in XXXX XXXX I investigated with XXXX earth and discovered my car parked outside of some ones house in XXXX in a VERY nice neighborhood. It hadn't even been impounded. I called Car Hop and told them about the theft and told them if they could go to the location and get my car I will pay the balance I owe as well as any fees. The manager, a man named XXXX said " NO WE DON'T DO THAT '', I tried to negotiate something to pay this off and get my car back but they refused. I ended up taking the bus in my new home for XXXX and a XXXX years, It wasn't until XXXX that I pulled my credit report and noticed that the negotiated amount was never reported and it is still showing that I owe {$2900.00} which is NOT true. If I owe anything it is only {$750.00} which they refused. It has been over 5 years since I last submitted a claim for this company and they are still harrassing me by keeping this erroneous information on my credit report. I am needing this matter resolved immediately and it removed from my credit reports.

The day after I bought the car a XXXX XXXX, it stopped dead in the road twice and I had to have it towed to a mechanic, I could only use the mechanics that they told me to or I would be voiding my warranty. I took it there and also found out that my catalytic converter was about to go, I was unable to use my car for a month. Because I had to pay to have it fixed and made limited money at the time I was late on a payment. Apparently, it is Car Hops policy to install a special device before I buy it that enables them to remotely disable my car. They would disable my car the day after I was late on my car without notice. This among other things was why I reported them to the CFPB for poor business practices and harassments. Please see the attached email that I sent to UAC when they did not follow through with their promises to cut my balance in half. Hello, I am a bit confused. When last we spoke and I agreed to an arrangement that was recommended by the complaint I filed with the CFPB and we agreed my balance was to be brought down to {$2100.00}., and that my payments were going to be around XXXX. However the UAC website still showed the same balance and that my payment on XX/XX/XXXX will still be XXXX. I received a letter today that states the same thing. I also reported them to the FTC. Under the impression that I only had only this amount to pay to pay off the loan I continued to pay My monthly payment of {$170.00} on time. In XXXX of XXXX I was forced to move to XXXX. Because the car was so unreliable I decided to have it transported. At this point I thought I only owed a remainder of {$750.00}. The car transport company refused to deliver my car ( it was supposed to be delivered on a Friday ... when I would be receiving my last pay check ) but they 'claimed ' they tried to deliver it on a Tuesday and demanded payment. *this was all by phone '' they never brought the car to my home in XXXX . I investigated with XXXXXXXX XXXX and discovered my car parked outside of some ones house in XXXX in a VERY nice neighborhood. It hadn't even been impounded. I called Car Hop and told them about the theft and told them if they could go to the location and get my car I will pay the balance I owe as well as any fees. The manager, a man named XXXX said " NO WE DON'T DO THAT '', I tried to negotiate something to pay this off and get my car back but they refused. I ended up taking the bus in my new home for 1 and a half years, It wasn't until XXXX that I pulled my credit report and noticed that the negotiated amount was never reported and it is still showing that I owe {$2900.00} which is NOT true. If I owe anything it is only {$750.00} which they refused. It has been over 5 years since I last submitted a claim for this company and they are still harrassing me by keeping this erroneous information on my credit report. I am needing this matter resolved immediately and it removed from my credit reports.

I called Carhop at XXXX on XX/XX/2019, XXXX a senior manager at Carhop answered the phone. I proceeded to tell her I was frustrated because I called over two weeks ago and set a payment arrangement up with an agent because I was unable to pay on time and that agent from two weeks prior never cancelled my auto pay causing my bank account to overdraft twice since then and I was frustrated that I was getting calls and emails saying I needed to set a new arrangement along with over drafting my bank account multiple times since then. I let XXXX know I needed to set a new payment arrangement now and that I was able to pay everything current on XX/XX/2019. She advised me because they sent another auto pay through today I couldn't set a new arrangement and I needed to callback on Tuesday maybe Wednesday after the payment comes back NSF and that I would need to make a payment to set a new payment arrangement again, I became extremely frustrated that I was having to continue to call back and set new arrangements up along with them over drafting my account again, as I was explaining to XXXX how frustrated I was that they didn't cancel my auto pay when I called to set an arrangement previously and advised I couldn't pay, she proceeded to tell me I needed to be quite and listen to her so then maybe I would understand. She proceeded to tell me if I didn't pay something when I call back on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week that my vehicle could be disabled. She continued to cut me off while I was speaking becoming very abusive to me and continuing to tell me to be quite while I was venting why I was so frustrated, XXXX then proceeded to tell me I was being rude and she was going to hang up on me, she hung up the phone on me. I called carhop back at XXXX XX/XX/2019 after being on hold for 6 minutes and 22 seconds, someone picked up didn't say anything and hung up on me I, for a third time, called Carhop again XXXX on XX/XX/2019 when someone finally picked up I asked to speak with a manager, the woman got another senior manager on the phone named XXXX got on the line at XXXX on XX/XX/2019. When I explained what had happened with XXXX to XXXX she proceeded to tell me it was my fault that I didn't ask to cancel the auto pay and it's not their fault they over drafted my bank account. I explained if someone is calling saying they are unable to make their payments on time and is setting up a payment arrangement why would they not cancel the recurring payments they are set up on, XXXX stated it didn't matter and it was my fault for not asking to cancel them when I set the payment arrangement. I became extremely frustrated again and XXXX told me she was going to hang up on me and I could callback again and speak to someone else. I advised her I want to file a complaint with them for the way XXXX and now XXXX have handled the call, XXXX continued to talk over me and said she was hanging up and disconnected to call on me.

My open auto loan account with Universal Acceptance Corporation was removed from my XX/XX/XXXXreport all together. I have an XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I finance through them. I was alerted to a change to my account by XX/XX/XXXX on XXXX XXXX that an account was removed from my report. When I logged in I found that it was my carhop finance account. I asked through email why my account was removed and was told they were made aware and were working with the credit bureau to correct this matter. I have since had no contact from them in regards to this matter. Yesterday XXXX XXXX XXXX I called XX/XX/XXXXdirectly and asked why my account was removed. I was told that XX/XX/XXXX has no access to remove accounts, that has to be done by the creditor directly. I have had many many mechanical issues with this vehicle since I bought it from them on XX/XX/XXXX, which has total more then {$4500.00} in maintenance, fees for backup transportation and tows. Although they have helped with repair costs along the way. When paying over {$10000.00} for a car that is valued at roughly {$3800.00} at time of sale, I expect it to be thoroughly inspected. When issues arise I expect to be referred to competent mechanics if I have to go through those of your choice as stated to me many times. In total my car has been un drivable for at least 5 months and they have had to replace the drive shaft twice due to faulty labor. Its now having issues yet again. I still owe a total of about {$1300.00} and not sure if that is all interest accrued through the payment arrangements set to help pay for mechanics and not be threatened with repossession. Other then being strained for finances due to mechanical issues and an income issue due to covid I have stayed reasonably current on my loan and tried to stay in contact as best I can but even after explaining issues and when to expect payment they have called me every day at times looking for payment ( these issues happened specifically at the time of covid impacting my ability to pay ) and continued to threaten repossession even after chatting online with a representative that stated they had stopped repossession for the time being. The last time my car broke down was from approximately XX/XX/XXXX and wasnt able to be repaired until XX/XX/XXXX. At which time they suggested a couple times I trade my vehicle in, I refused. When my car was fixed I went to another auto dealer and had my credit run at which time I was denied because my score was impacted about 80-90 points I found out due to my loan delinquency during the start of the pandemic. It was about a month after this that my account was as removed from XX/XX/XXXX. Every time I have spoken to them in regards to my vehicle or loan after that they have pushed me to trade in my vehicle. I wasnt sure what area I should file this complaint under but feel this company has engaged in some very serious predatory lending practices.

I visited UAC/XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX to search for a vehicle. I asked about a XX/XX/XXXXXXXX century and I was informed the vehicle is for sale {$4100.00} and payments are {$170.00} per month. I decided to apply for the vehicle. During the application process I told the car dealer I get paid once per month and the dealer said not a problem because the XXXX is only XXXX per month. After completing the application I was approved for the XX/XX/XXXXXXXX century. I signed the paperwork to purchase the vehicle then the price jumped from {$4100.00} to XXXX. I asked why the price more than doubled? The car dealer said the price includes maintenance, a warranty and interest. I became upset because none of this was disclosed to me before I purchased the car. Further more the car dealer told me that all my documents are located online if I have any questions at XXXX XXXX, however after navigating to the website I noticed no documents on the website. One week later I get a call from XXXX saying they needed payment for the XX/XX/XXXXXXXX. I explained I do not have a payment due yet because I get paid once per month. The XXXX associate told me UAC/XXXX only does biweekly payments and I need to make a paymemt asap. I told the XXXX associate once more that I have a contract in place stating I pay once per month since I am a salary employee. The XXXX associate said if I dont make a payment of XXXX by the end of the day XXXX will remotely disable the starter in the car. I never was informed nor agreed to this remote disable starter business yet carhop XXXX my car remotely without prior knowledge or consent. This continued for 5 months. I was told by XXXX my monthly payment schedule is processing and in the mean time I should take out payday loans in order to make the biweekly payments or else XXXX will continue to disable the starter within the XXXX XXXX. For 5 months I dealt with this having to take out payday loans to pay biweekly payments when I get paid monthly. This put me in extreme debt and in hot water with my boss because I could not get to work due to the starter being XXXX. This behavior caused me to lose my job, become evicted from my apartment and I'm in extreme debt. I called XXXX to make arrangements to come pick up the XX/XX/XXXX XXXX because XXXX put me in debt however XXXX said they will not come get the car because they have to wait 30 days and XXXX threatened to ruin my credit. I am very upset because XXXX promised me monthly payments of {$170.00} for a XXXX XXXX century {$4100.00} however XXXX lied by raising the monthly price to {$380.00} and the payoff price to {$9100.00}. In addition, the XXXX started making a loud grinding sound and did not work properly so I took the car to a mechanic who told me the car was involved in an accident and was auctioned off to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX never told me this car was prior damaged.

I purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX, doing busines as " XXXX XXXX '' ( XXXX XXXX ), and its financing company, Universal Acceptance Corporation, ( UAC ). I did not have to put any money down, the payments were {$190.00} every two weeks. I automatically set up direct deposit payments from my checking account to begin XX/XX/XXXX. They pulled the first payment plus a {$3.00} fee through XXXX XXXX XXXX payment. A few days later, I received a text and email stating to call about my payment. My car was disabled until I called in and made another payment. This has happened 3x as they said the payment came back NSF ( Credit card and checking account ). I called the corporate office in XXXX, MN and spoke with a Customer Service Representative who did n't know anything and said that I needed to speak with my finance manager " XXXX '' in XXXX, WA. I was transferred back and forth and made another payment until I received my bank statement. I emailed my statement over to " XXXX '' at the XXXX, WA location and she said that she would give information to her " Finance Manger ''. Needless to say, my vehicle was disabled again when I had to take a client to XXXX, I called XXXX XXXX again and XXXX enabled the vehicle so I could get client to hospital but she XXXX before we could get her there. I am so done with this SCAM Company. He went on to say that they have not received a single payment and if I could bring truck back to them if he enabled it. File No ; XXXX Consent Order, this company needs to be shut down. He ( XXXX ) told me that I would need to sign a " release of the loan '' when I bought the vehicle back. Carhop has made deceptive representations to consumers and will do anything to get money from the customers repetitively. They are very unprofessional, rude, uncaring and all that matters is the almighty dollar. One would think that they would have learned their lessons from the Consent order but they continue to practice this way. The vehicle was my only means of transportation and cost me my job and all they care about is $ $ $ $ $ $ and not their customers. I have proof that these payments were taken out of my account and I even emailed everything over to " XXXX ''. XXXX XXXX also provides false information to the three credit bureaus and hinders customers from obtaining credit for home loans, car loans, any type of loan and they have been ordered to pay over XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. Why are they still in business and allowed to continue to do this to consumers/customers? Many lives have been affected by their " GREED '' and unlawful practices, it needs to stop now.

I showed up to carhop In XXXX WA, they could see I was desperate for a car after they pulled a beaten switch on me with a couple different vehicles? They finally got to the one and only vehicle they would offer me which was a XXXX XXXX XXXX with obvious rust damage throughout the whole car massive amounts of dog hair all throughout the seats, filthy dirty, never was detailed not even cleaned., we all have a choice however I was in a XXXX XXXX need for a vehicle. They told me I couldnt get a nicer vehicle that actually cost the same or less as this one they charged me over {$13000.00} with terrible interest rate out the door for this Lemmon, that had mechanical problems from day one I called him, informed them as they tell me to do they give me a number and name to a mechanic that use for customers problems only for me to call never to be able to get through to somebody, and when I finally was able to, they were not only days or weeks out of an appointment they were months out! Mechanical problems became worse with this car. The rust was getting bad. There was black mold throughout the car and to make matters worse when I was doing the financing I said, what about insurance? They told me. We do not care if you get insurance one way or another so I naturally put that off, however? I did say. I 100 percent t need GAP insurance! That they refused and they said they dont do that I have to pay for that elsewhere? Since then the car was stolen and I got a phone call from the towing company where I went to retrieve my belongings out of the car that were still left that were not stolen for me and the car was completely wrecked and its still in the XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX Washington wrecking up Payments owed the car was stolen from me. I called the XXXX police gave them a report. Nothing came of it and said Im not gon na pay for this car. I need out of this lemon they charged me over {$13000.00} for this car thats not even worth {$1500.00}. I need to get a new vehicle but I cant do anything with this on my credit. They want to help me pay it lower amount to charge it off paid off? But Im not gon na do that they have gotten more than what its worth through my payments. On XX/XX/XXXX hours finance a XX/XX/XXXX Ford Focus from Car Hop XXXX acceptance court right off the bat I noticed some we 're grinding noises and vehicle ran rough I ask the dealer about this and he told me that I could just take it down to XXXX of their specified shop then they would fix anything wrong with the vehicle for no cost me for the first visit but also stated that after the initial visit to the repair shop all repairs would have to be approved by the warranty department so being a little naive to the whole car buying leasing financing situation and being totally stoked I even got approved I drove away in the car on XX/XX/XXXX I took the car to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in missing work that day if the car was in the shop until the XXXX of XXXX when I was finally contacted by Car Hop after several attempts to contact them they told me that the warranty company would not approve the problems that the car had and asked me to come down to the shop on XXXX XXXX I called into work and XXXX ride down there to the shop long story short they wanted to trade me out cars because they did n't want to fix before they gave me XXXX options to pick from none of which were anything special I chose to go with the Pontiac Grand Am GT after test driving it and having a friend briefly look it over the car seems like it was in good condition within a few days of having the car I started to notice it ran a little hot and when it would get hot it would shift into and out of gear with a hard kick I also noticed there was some weird slushy stuff in the coolant so I took it again to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX where they did a full diagnostic on the vehicle and sent the results to the warranty company once again to be denied I tried numerous times to get a hold of somebody at Car Hop and at the warranty place only to be given the runaround for two days and having to pay 78 dollars to get my car out of XXXX XXXX XXXX. the warranty company denied the work that needed to be done claiming they no longer do business with XXXX and told me they wanted me to take it to their shop by Car Hop called XXXX & XXXX auto. When I took it to XXXX & XXXX Auto on XX/XX/XXXX with the same problems but even worse then before the man called me the next day and told mgr he did n't find anything wrong with the car so I argued with him a little and got him to agree with letting the car heat up got a little bit and then test drive it he says he did that and he going some spark plugs misfiring he sent that work to warranty company and again it was denied and again I had to pay 78 $ to get the car out of the shop. It 's a hole lit to explain even more than what I 've explained here but these people are really doing some shady business and I really need some help cause I have no idea what I 'm doing

I am a returning customer to Carhop UAC XXXX, MN. I leased a XXXX XXXX XXXX from them in XX/XX/XXXX. The car was having electrical problems all the time. I was always getting fuses. In XX/XX/XXXX, I started hearing cranking and dragging noises. After talking to XXXX, ex-mgr of the Carhop, I took my vehicle to a Carhop approved contracted auto repair shop. All of the brakes, brake lines, axle, wheel bearings, control arms, electrical/fuses problems, etc. was wrong with the car. I paid {$600.00} and XXXX paid the rest of the {$1300.00} repair bill. The car continued to breakdown. Once I was left on one of Minnesotas 's busiest highways, close to the twin cities, during a snowstorm, with children in the car. If it weren't for MNDot, pushing my car off the road, I probably would've caused a terrible accident. The mechanics contracted through Carhop said that I should've never leased this car. In XX/XX/XXXX, the same noises again. I believe the repairs were only partially done to kill the noises but we're not done completely. I was told by the owner of the repair shop, that after I paid another additional {$1300.00}, that I would be reimbursed by the repair shop or Carhop. After talking to the new manager of Carhop, XXXX, I was told they would look into it. I have children I need my car. Plus the mechanics agreed with me, that this was duplicate repairs that were not done in XX/XX/XXXX. Carhop and the mechanic shop played the blame game against each other for months while I just waited making my car payments and constantly breaking down. In XX/XX/XXXX, same noises again. This time I realized that the driver side back brake line was sealed off. That brake line was clogged. And the inner brake pad was not there. The mechanics did not put a brake pad on the inner back driver side tire. The same mechanic wanted to charge me again, for duplicate repairs. I was never reimbursed my money from either companies and in XX/XX/XXXX, my vehicle was repossessed for non-payment of my car. From the time I received that car until it was repossessed, I have been spending money to keep that car together. Electrical issues were within the first month and I was told by Carhop 's mechanics that they were just fuses. Well if it was just fuses, XXXX and XXXX knows me pretty well. Now, all I get are rude, arrogant, unprofessional calls from Carhop UAC finance asking for the remaining balance on a car they illegally repossessed and threats of damage to my credit reports. I just received a call today, from XXXX. The district manager of Carhops in Minnesota. She was the worst. I can't wait til the hand that rocks the cradle hits this company, especially after everything that was done to XXXX XXXX.

On XX/XX/2023, I formally notified Carhop Finance, pursuant to 15 USC 6801-6805 and 16 CFR 313, revoking all consent for the disclosure of any transaction history between myself and Carhop to XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, acknowledging my rights to privacy in this financial relationship as supported by the Federal Trade Commission XXXX I am aware that the information shared by Carhop Finance violates these regulations, as they are reporting prohibited details, notably a " charge off, '' which, according to IRS publication 4681, pertains to income and is not to be included in credit history. This misreporting has the potential to significantly impact my financial standing and credibility unfairly. Moreover, Carhop 's privacy policies only mention affiliations with " financial companies such as auto dealers with a CarHop name '' and " companies with a Universal Acceptance Corporation or CarHop Finance name '' as authorized third parties for information sharing. However, the reported disclosure extends beyond these stated affiliations, violating the outlined policies. Additionally, my notice of revocation also included the termination of all granted security interests on pages 1 and 3 of 8 of the " retail installment contract. '' To date, I have not received any acknowledgement of this termination of security interest, nor have I been reimbursed for funds paid out of pocket, despite the note having already been paid to the order of Carhop. This inaccurate reporting and lack of acknowledgment regarding the termination of security interest not only compromises the accuracy of my financial records but also has the potential to cause irreversible harm to my status as a surety or beneficial title holder in private. I am requesting an immediate correction of the reported inaccuracies and a prompt acknowledgment of the termination of the security interest, along with reimbursement for any payments made toward the note. This will rectify the erroneous information and prevent any further potential damage to my financial profile. I appreciate your urgent attention to this matter and expect a prompt resolution in accordance with the established regulations and contractual obligations.

In XX/XX/XXXX I financed a vehicle with Carhop, I was XXXX young and XXXX I needed a car fast, so I went to carhop. I put a XXXX dollar down payment on a vehicle. I financed the vehicle for XXXX with XXXX miles and XXXX a week also is XXXX a month the vehicle was a XXXX XXXX XXXX but strongly looks like a XXXX model. I was not able to choose the vehicle I wanted, they had to choose for me .Not to mention they had me test drive two vehicles and one of them was a XXXX XXXX and the check engine light was on. so I went with the " XXXX '' XXXX XXXX ( not like I had a choice ) Let me start off by saying when I purchased this car it wasnt even the original car key it was a copy key that they gave me! So the first week I had this issue my car did not start. Now when I purchased the car I was told that I had a warrenty and I have proof of that documentation as well and they were telling me I had to solve that issue on my own, so I called the XXXX and sure enough they were on it. Then a week after that they told me the car was all set but then broke down a few days later, they had a fellow in XXXX take a look at it and said it was the " fuel pump '' fast foward to a couple weeks after that issue was resolved. My prom night, I was left stranded because my car did not start YET AGAIN. THEN, when I threatened them with the XXXX and a lawyer they magically found a resolution to start my car. Because it was a ghetto copy key and not the original key I had to turn the key in second position and wait 15 minutes before starting my car again because they KNEW it was a security issue from not having the original key, and the original key contains the chip. I had to do this everytime I started my car. They stated that the security system is causing my car to not start. I got sick of putting money into this junk and let them reposes it. When they reposessed it, the vehicle was not running. Turns out they sold the car for like XXXX dollars, XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX value wasnt even worth the amount they were trying to sell it to me for. A few months after purcahsing the car that carhop in Rhode Island was shut down because of the lemons they were selling to consumers, and they were being sued. They sold me a lemon and up until now I felt so powerless I had no Idea who to go to, who to speak to about this. They lied about reporting my payments to the credit bureau and left me with a XXXX lemon debt on my credit report. After reading hundreds and hundreds of consumer reports online, I cant even think to believe how this corrupt company is still in buissness.

I was responding to UAC regarding an email that I received in XX/XX/XXXX regarding a consent order sent to me by email from the CFPB about this company reporting incorrectly to the credit bureaus. I had a lot of problems with them when I was a customer so naturally I wanted to check to make sure my credit reflected correct information. I was advised if already pulled credit report from annual credit report.com and still wanted a copy that we were entitled to one from XXXX and could request it by calling UAC. I did that in on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and spoke with a woman who had no idea what was going on but took my request to the credit department and was told would mail it and they took my new address. That was two months ago and I have yet to receive any credit report from them. I then called UAC today XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and spoke to a XXXX XXXX who was incredibly rude he must have interrupted me 5 times during the conversation and was very argumentative. He had the nerve to tell me that it did n't really apply to me because I have n't done business with them in two years when the email I got about it in XX/XX/XXXX which provided additional information specifically said that it involved accounts that were before XX/XX/XXXX so it definatly concerned me. Then when I basically told him to stop arguing with me and put in my request he took down my new address and married name and said would request my credit report. Last year around XXXX i went to Car Hop. A Buy here Pay here car lot. they told me i could put any amount of money down and drive off with any of the selected cars i was approved for. They did not tell me the price until i signed the papers. at the time i was in desperate need because i had to get back and forth to work and school. i did n't have any help but never wanted to put myself in a fix. My fiance and I are paying off a loan on our vehicle. Our vehicle came with an 18 month, XXXX mile warranty. Our engine blew up and needed to be replaced. Please keep in mind this damage is covered under warranty. I believe this business A ) planned for the engine to fail just outside of the mileage warranty, but because we do so much high way driving, the engine gave in before then. I think Car Hop B ) is GROSSLY mistreating and taking advantage of their customers to save a few bucks. We were first told it would be about a week and a half for our vehicle to be repaired, it has now been 3 weeks. After going to the dealership we were stalled for over an hour and the ONLY thing done was we were told our car would be done by this Wednesday. Please know it is outrageous that this is happening when we have not even had this vehicle for 1 year and are below the mileage warranty as well. The damage is covered under warranty but we are stuck paying out of pocket for the tow, we are required to pay a deductible ( Which was at first and on our contract is XXXX then after going to the dealership for help turned into XXXX ), we are paying almost {$300.00} a week for a car rental, and also still paying almost {$300.00} every 2 weeks for our car payment ... .all for a car that this company knowingly sold us broken and were hoping broke after the warranty once we were stuck in our contract and broken car. Unfortunately, they will be paying for a new engine themselves, as they should for a defective vehicle. But what kind of dealership leaves their customer to pay thousands of dollars? Not to mention, there's 16 HOURS of PTO I was forced to use to ensure I did not get fired, lose my home, insurance, and car. We then were told we will need to go through this whole process AGAIN paying out of pocket for being car-less ( again while the vehicle is being repaired under warranty ) to have the transmission ( also under warranty ) repaired at a DIFFERENT shop. Was looking for an inexpensive car and had to get one quickly to be able to leave for the other side of Washington asap. Well, because I only had {$500.00} to put down on one they said I would be limited in my options. Asked carhop about a specific one, arranged to come see it, hoping I could just get it and drive it off the lot if it was decent enough. When I got there they sprung it on me that, oh no that one I wanted was gone, this other one over here is the only one I could still do with my XXXX. I was in desperate need of a car, so I agreed. I put XXXX down and payments ended up being like XXXX every 2 weeks ( so roughly XXXX a month ). I kept paying until I lost my job and then i couldnt afford the payments anymore. I went to tade it in ( at a diffferent place because we had moved at this point ) for something that is smaller and that is more gas efficient, but every person i talked to said i was being ripped off by carhop. In XXXX, I purchased a car with CAR HOP ( Universal Acceptance CORP ) that I voluntarily returned. Carhop ended up selling the account to XXXX XXXX XXXX which resulted in me having to go through XXXX to pay the debt off. XXXX and I settled on the debt, and I paid the FULL amount of the collections account on XXXX ( LETTER OF PROOF ATTACHED ). I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX to remove the collections account on my credit report and they happily did so, since the debt was paid off. ( COPIES OF GOODWILL LETTER, XXXX PROOF OF PAYMENT LETTER, AND COPY OF CAR HOPS REFUSAL LETTER ATTACHED ) On XX/XX/XXXX, I wrote a letter to Car Hop, because they were still reporting a delinquency to the credit bureaus, and had the audacity to update the account which will now will result in having this account stuck on my credit report for another SEVEN YEARS. I sent them a goodwill letter asking them to remove the account that they were reporting, and also provided them with proof that I had paid the debt off. They wrote back saying that they are refusing to do so. I shouldn't have to suffer from something I did when I was a teenager. I paid the debt off, sent a goodwill letter, and yet they still refused to delete the account, only updating the account to report inaccurate information. Now i understand why they were penalized by CFPB in XXXX because they're consistently known for jeopardizing consumers credit reports. This account was originally added to my credit report in XXXX. Its now XXXX, SEVEN years from now, which means this account would have naturally fallen off this year. But they decided to update it, even though they sold the debt. With the passing of the Cares Act, I have become aware that the creditor must report the status of my account as current if an agreement was made after I became delinquent and that agreement was fulfilled. On XX/XX/ I bought a car from car hop in XXXX, Colorado. I owned the car for 4 months. 3 of which it was in the shop for major repairs. One of which was " fixed '' before I bought the car. CARHOP /UNIVERSITY XXXX CORP did not provide me the proper legal registration at the time of leasing a vehicle to me ; And as a result the car got impounded and even though! had the money and valid drivers license, insurance etc. The auto pound would not release the vehicle to me because I didn't have valid registration and they also required that i have the title or they wouldn't release it and said that carhop would have to provide me with those documents or come pick up the vehicle themselves. I called and explained this to carhop multiple times and they did not care and made absolutely no effort to retrieve the vehicle from the pound! I got a vehicle from XXXX. My ex wife gained possession of the vehicle through it being a marital asset ( at the time ). About a month ago, I was awarded the vehicle which is solely in my name. I contacted South Dakota to find out that she had been arrested and the vehicle has been towed. The towing company sent the Lein holder a certified letter letting them know the car needed to be picked up or the towing company ( aggressive towing ) would take ownership of the title. The leinholder was well aware that I had no possession nor exact wareabouts of the vehicle. This company is scamming off of innocent people who just want to buy a car and improve their credit. First, they do not allow you to choose a car, they give you the one on the lot in the worst condition. for example, I purposely stated that I did not want a XXXX and that is the only XXXX they would let me have. I have since found out that the car is worth only {$200.00} and they charged me {$11000.00} for it with a 34 % interest. I filed an application for credit with Car Hop and from the start have had horrible service from the sales rep named XXXX. He failed to follow up with me until I had to reach out to him. XXXX began asking for information from a previous application I submitted which was not the one with my current information on it. When I reached out to XXXX he failed to follow up with my primary form of communication as well. I called Car Hop on XX/XX/2019 to speak with a manager regarding the situation and spoke with XXXX. XXXX is not personable at all at the slightest sign of frustration he began to threaten to hang up on me and not do business with me. I was not verbally abusive not was I screaming, shouting or yelling at him. He stated that because I was making a complaint against him and his employees I was being abusive and he eventually hung up the call. This business failed to communicate with me about my approval or denial of my application on more than 5 occasions both by call and email. They refuse to tell me what the application status is and at this point feel that they have violated my rights as a consumer. I bought my car 7 months ago from carhop. I've been caught up and timely in all my payments. I've had the engine replaced at XXXX miles which I feel is rather soon. Give faulty cars to people, and charges far too much for them. We found out our car is only worth like XXXX tops we've paid XXXX for it and still XXXX to go. I have had multiple issues with Universal Acceptance Corporation ( UAC ) They call and text me the day the loan comes due, calling multiple times a day even though I have told them I can not talk on the phone while I 'm at work. They refuse to talk to me via email even though that is really the only way I can communicate during week days, which I 've told them multiple times. They have emailed me just to tell me they ca n't email me however. I told them I switched jobs and needed my due dates changed to match my new pay days. They refused to do so until I sent them a copy of two pay stubs from my new job. The issue with this is that I wo n't get my pay stubs until after the pay check is received. During this time, I will be accruing interest. Another time I told them I had to spend {$500.00} to get the car fixed so I would be late on the payment. They required me to send them a receipt of the work done. Not to reimburse me, but to prove I was n't lying. They would not extend help to me otherwise. Another time I was taken off of a payment plan that I had set up with them because I under paid by XXXX cents. I was told a flat dollar amount which I paid. The neglected to tell me of the XXXX cents. I feel as though they have been extremely abusive in the way they collect debt and that I 'm being pushed in a corner so I owe them more.

I decided to do business with CarHop located in XXXX, IL. They financed a XXXX Chevrolet XXXX on XXXX XXXX, XXXX through Universal Acceptance Corporation. Within a month I began to experience troubles with the car and it became unsafe to drive. I took the XXXX Cavalier to CarHop on XXXX XXXX, XXXX and they took the car back and put me into a XXXX Dodge Stratus. I was not required to pay anything for them to put me into another car. This is ridiculous. For an amount that small if there was a balance on the car at the time of the trade-in the sales representative at CarHop should 've informed me about it. I lost my job due to a severe illness preventing me to work. I have a loan with CarHop finance aka Universal Acceptance Corp. And we worked out payment plans and I have emails specifically stating from one person that the payment plans will bring me current and the remaining balance will be pushed back to the end of my loan. I then started to be harassed by another person who says I still owe that balance. She completely ignored the fact that someone else stated I would be current. I went back and forth with her in emails because I do not have a phone to call from at this time. So all of this is documented and she is falsely saying I agreed to make payment plans on the remaining balance when I did not. Before this she said I must pay XXXX dollars so they could push the remaining balance to the end. Although I did not want to, since I was told something different prior, I still did it so they would stop harassing me. In XXXX I had purchased a used vehicle from a place called XXXX in XXXX, wi. I called the loan company for XXXX, which is universal acceptance car. I kept with contact with the loan company, I was going through financial issues and so I called the loan advisor and had asked what I could do, The guy stated that if i voluntarily returned the vehical that it would not be put on my record and that my loan would disappear as paid. They never reported the correct information on my credit report of me paying on time with not one missed payment, when they should have done so as they promised in their contracts, they also didnt honor a warranty on a faulty car that knowingly they supplied a bad transmission and returned it to me- which had to be towed away from the mechanics shop that I was told to take the vehicle to. The moment that I take my vehicle in for repairs and they provide a faulty transmission and I refuse to give them another dollar until they fix it, being that it is under warranty they happen to repossess the vehicle and do a charge off/collections. I got a XXXX XXXX XXXX from car hop in XXXX. I thought I was getting a deal since my credit was excepted. The car ended up having major issues soon after and was dangerous to drive on the roads. I contacted car hop and expressed the concerns with the vehicle and they offered to have the car fixed through their " authorized mechanic. '' They said they had multiple issues with the car fixed but the car was no better when I got it back. I stayed persistent with them to get the problems fixed but they just gave me the run around and did n't do anything. I financed an auto loan with UAC/CARHOP I filed a complaint with the BBB for inaccurate information being reported to the Credit bureaus. I was contacted by corporate saying it would report in 30-60 days. I was informed that upon the completion of the investigation due to filing XXXX disputes each time the information would reflect the update immediately. Each time the investigation showed no change. I paid the vehicle off XX/XX/XXXX. UAC is reporting that the account was closed as of XX/XX/XXXX and the last payment was made in XX/XX/XXXX. It is against the law to report inaccurate information. Payment history as well as paying a vehicle off affects you credit life tremendously, I reaffirmed this high interest loan in order to better my credit, and the inaccurate information affects my credit life a great deal. I have made several attempts to contact the company regarding the debt and several inaccuracies. Now, my credit report shows the debt was sold to another lender and the information about the new lender is not available. I have tried to get proof such debt exists, but am unable to communicate with Universal Acceptance about the account in question, incorrect information on my credit report and etc. Furthermore, Universal Acceptance was asked to send proof of original debt to me when I disputed the claim in XX/XX/XXXX. Currently I have a owed on my credit report from XXXX 2012 from Carhop that I just found out about. It is for a total of {$9800.00}. I currently should not owe anything to these guys. As I had the vehicle for 3 days the Check engine light was on the whole time. So I Took it into one of their shops. They said it needed a new engine all together. I made a poor choice in desperation and bought a car from XXXX in XX/XX/2011. Within the first week, the air conditioning went out in the vehicle and was going to cost me XXXX dollars to fix. A week after that I had a tire blow on the highway. Apparently there were wires showing that I did not notice when I purchased vehicle. By this time Im frustrated. CarHop XXXX reporting missed payments and in correct balance on credit report, preventing me ( pigeonholding ) from obtaining a safe vehicle to drive. In 2014 I went to Carhop to get a car, i put down {$500.00} and i was supposed to pay {$320.00} a month, the car was in an accident which lead the person who caused it insurance company paying out {$3500.00} so i had to pay a little under {$800.00}. Carhop sold me back to back dangerous and improperly working vehicles. After the first one, I was given the option to pick another vehicle. The vehicle I chose was also mechanically unsafe and unfixable so instead if chosing yet another vehicle, I wanted out of the contract. After being told I was being released of all responsibility. I contacted Carhop to try to fix the issues and they said they would not fix the car at no cost, the repairs were more than I could afford.
