I am writing to file against the school XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX/Unisa XXXX This school has had numerous court cases for deceptive practices and fraudulent actions. I submitted a borrower defense application to the Department of Education in XX/XX/XXXX and recently it was approved with 100 % student loans forgiven which has helped me tremendously and I was refunded for all payments that were made to my federal student loans previously. However, I am writing about the institutional XXXX in-house financing loans associated with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX misled me with their financial aid processes and their financial aid advisors. I was informed when I attended there ( XX/XX/XXXX ) that my salary at the time resulted in me having to pay a XXXX XXXX monthly payment while I was enrolled and upon graduation that I would have 5-10 payments remaining post-graduation. The financial aid advisors told me that the XXXX XXXX monthly payments were going toward federal student loans. However, I found out post-graduation that these payments were going to the XXXX institutional loan. As I made the XXXX XXXX monthly payments, I never received any monthly statements on my current balance or what I had paid toward the student loan. It was not until post-graduation that I was informed by Great Lakes student loan servicer that I had a XXXX + student loan balance and that no payments had been paid toward the loan. As previously stated, I was informed by the financial aid advisors at XXXX XXXX that I have no more than 5-10 payments remaining. Shortly, after the Great Lakes student loan call, I received a call from XXXX XXXXUnisa stating thaXXXX they were collecting a debt and referenced XXXX XXXX and the XXXX loans. I was only informed about federal student loans and had no idea of the XXXX institutional loans. They informed me of the debt that they had and the monthly payments that they were seeking which was {$140.00} a month. I have consistently made on-time payments to XXXX XXXX/Unisa XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX ( since I found out the {$150.00} a month was not going to the federal student loans ). The XXXX XXXXUnisa wrote off the remaining {$3600.00} XX/XX/XXXX. Although, I am aware that my borrower defense application did not include institutional loans. Due to the deceptive and fraudulent practices that were found against XXXX XXXX prompted me to seek additional information from XXXX XXXXUnisa regarding the XXXX institutional loan. I asked if they could provide me a copy of a master promissory note to that XXXX institutional loan and they mentioned that they did not have a copy of the master promissory note at all. They were not able to provide any additional details regarding the XXXX loan. I am seeking to be refunded for the payments that were made to the XXXX institutional loans that were made from XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX. Under the law, legally there should be a master promissory note associated with that loan or they should not be able to collect any payments due to no legally binding agreement. I never received any documentation or have any record of loan agreements for the XXXX institutional loan. I can provide any documentation regarding what has been paid toward the XXXX institutional loan and the dates of the payments made.

Earlier this year, I had some old student loan debt sold to a company called Unisa Inc. Www.unisainc.com. I have had consistent problems with them processing my automatic payments to a consistent schedule. They claim it is impossible to predict when my payment will be deducted from my bank account. It is a considerable amount of money, so it is very important to me to know when I will be debited. I have talked to them in person, but they say can not be resolved. On XX/XX/2018, I was debited my full amount and then on XX/XX/XXXX I was debited the full amount again. My payment is only supposed to be paid once a month. I called their customer service on XX/XX/XXXX as their website had no record of the second payment being authorized. I was accused of authorizing the payment on my own, which I did not do. The person I talked to said he could see the payments in his system. He did apologize and told me they would count the second payment towards XX/XX/XXXX and not debit me again until XX/XX/XXXX. I agreed. Again, no date was given when payments would be processed when I asked. Today on XX/XX/XXXX, I was debited for my usual XX/XX/XXXX payment. As of today, there is no record on their website showing this payment. Only in my online banking. Another consistent problem is Unisa never displays the correct amount of my automatic debits. I have three loans with them which are debited from my bank account as a lump sum. Their system only shows one loan amount as being debited, not the full amount of the lump sum. Each of the three loans are different amounts and it appears to be random which amount will be shown in their online account history. I complained during my phone call with them on XX/XX/XXXX, but was told the customer service rep could see the proper amounts being debited from my account and offered no reason why the online system does not display the full amounts. He just told me not to worry about it. I do not know if Unisa has been calculating my payments properly against my loan as their system does not display the correct information. I do not trust them, but can not afford to pay my balance outright. I have also tried to add Unisa to my home accounting software and it never shows up as being a legitimate business. This has never happened to me before across several loan companies. I am very worried about them.

My loans were recently moved from XXXX to UNISA ( unisainc.com ). I was never notified of this change, I simply logged into my XXXX account one day and all information about my loan was gone. After contacting XXXX, they told me the loan was transferred to UNISA. After searching and failing to find what appeared to be a legitimate website for UNISA, I ended up getting a number from XXXX and called UNISA. The person answering the phone call was very unprofessional and said I must have been in the " recent '' loan moves, that 's why I did n't receive any notification ( the loan was apparently transferred over a month ago ). I was able to get an account number for the loan from the representative, which allowed me to create an account on the suspicious looking website https : //www.unisainc.comXXXX The website appears to be made in WordPress ( known for it 's many security vulnerabilities ) and did not provide the typical prompts one would expect from a legitimate loan servicer. Once registered I was able to review my loan balances and schedule a payment by entering my bank information. This was several days ago, I never received an email confirmation of my payment and after waiting and not seeing any change in my bank account, I attempted to log back into my account to view scheduled payments. After entering my credentials on the https : //www.unisainc.comXXXX XXXX, I received an error message " Error. An error occurred while processing your request. '' with no option for a redirection. I attempted this several times with the same result. I also attempted a login with a known incorrect password and was unable to login, so I know that is not the issue. I am unable to view my account information now and the unprofessional design of the website and attitude of the representatives makes me concerned with the safety of my personal and financial information with this company. I also have no indications that they allowing me to make payments. A quick XXXX search of the company reveals numerous complaints and the lowest possible review star rating on XXXX for the company, showing I am not the only customer with these issues. I feel this should be investigated, especially for the many graduates like myself that had no choice or option who their loans and personal information would be transferred to and now have no control.

I had a direct student loan that was being serviced by XXXX. While under XXXX, I had zero issues. However, that company underwent a buyout and in the process of doing so sold some of their loans to UNISAINC. UNISAINC makes almost no effort to indicate that payments are due - the only notification from them that either I or my girlfriend ( who also has loans serviced by them ) are letters in the mail that often arrive on the date of or after the payment due date informing us that we owe money. Since both of us are proactive, this isn't a huge problem for us personally but could be one for other borrowers. Our main problem is in how difficult UNISAINC makes payments. Every. Single. Time. I go to make a payment online, their website is having issues. Sometimes it will log you out for clicking the wrong link. It is frustratingly slow. They make it difficult to access the payment page. Most frustratingly, there are entire *weeks* where you can not access their website. I understand that the CPFB is better able to serve with specific information - however, there are no specific dates or actions that stand out in particular. This is a repeated problem since UNISAINC has become our servicer. Unfortunately, payment by mail is not an option due to the aforementioned inability ( or unwillingness ) of UNISAINC to contact us in a timely manner. Unfortunately, payments over the phone are not an option as well since their phone lines close after work hours. Additionally, when I have made payments in the past, they have taken longer than their stated processing time to apply the payments. This has caused financial injury to me as I have overpaid as a result of their negligence. It seems obvious to me that UNISAINC is willingly engaging in practices designed to make it more difficult for borrowers to repay their debts. Attached is a collection of receipts from UNISAINC and a screencap taken as I tried to log in to my account and pay on XX/XX/2018

They are refusing me my official transcripts stating that i owe money that i believe i do not owe and the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX passed a law on XXXX XXXX stating a school can not hold official transcripts as a way of making a student pay a bill owed to a school institute that it is seemed abusive and keep a student from being able to get a job in the future because jobs usually require a transcript. And also regarding the balance i was awarded a XXXX dollar scholarship once i had started the program and received a phone call from XXXX XXXX stating i would no longer have to pay. I had made XXXX payments adding up {$92.00} which left a balance of XXXX. Beginning balance was XXXX. If i was awarded XXXX scholarship and you take away the XXXX i had already paid and the XXXX that was left over that leaves and extra XXXX that should've came back to me however the school stated they do not give refunds on money left that it will be applied to future terms. Then soon as the future term came up the money disappeared and i have made many calls to the school disputing it and they say they would look into and never did. I called repeatedly and after a full year of me disputing the balance no one ever got back with me until i started asking for my transcript. I was also called by a man i don't know if he was from the company that services their private loans or a man female the school that called me in XXXX of XXXX stating that i would not have to pay the remaining balance because my house was crushed during the tornado that came through at the time. I've even tried paying some of the balance and the state they wanted it in full before i could receive my official transcripts. Which i then was notified about the law passed by the CFPB stating schools could no longer hold official transcripts due to money owed and i let them know and they told me to have my lawyer call their CEO.

Was using XXXX as the previous student loan finance company, before my loan was transferred to Unisa. I never had any issues with payments being received by XXXX. However, with the current provider, I have had an issue every single time I have tried to make a payment, resulting in several " past due '' marks against me -- each time due to their computer system that repeatedly fails to handles the payments. I contacted the company by their email contact form, concerning their system continuously having errors. I never received a response. I mentioned the issue to the customer service representative when having to make a past due payment due to their system, again, to no resolution by the company. I have attached a screenshot of my account payments, all being late due to their faulty payment system. Only one payment with them had been made previous to what was shown in the screenshot and it was on time due to their system being completely inaccessible ( could not even log in ) the first time I attempted to use it -- so a call was made to make the payment. Every following time, I had access to the system, the system indicated that everything went through and was processed correctly, and then would later tell me it was past due and would have to call and make a late payment. The continuation of the issue and the disregard for it indicates that these errors may be intentional so that the consumers of their system will have more interest to pay them on the payments, resulting in purposeful inaccessibility and essentially a fraudulent payment system.

I attended XXXX College from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. Student loans were processed with XXXX XXXX XXXX who I arranged monthly installments. I am in good standing with this company however, in XX/XX/XXXX I received a message on my credit report of two derogatory marks. I discovered Unisa turned student loans over to a collection agency, XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was never informed in writing or verbally that my account would be placed into collections. I have contacted both companies several time with no prevail. As of XX/XX/XXXX Unisa has stopped sending statements. I am continuing monthy payments to date. I have also, filed disputes with XXXX, XXXX, and the XXXX XXXX XXXX. After researching XXXX XXXX XXXX, my discovery shows many complaints of unethical business practice and illegal collection practices. I have also attempted legal action but have not been successful in finding representation. I can provide documentation in my favor such as proof of payments, notes from conversations with all parties involved, my last statement sent from Unisa, proof of complaints on the XXXX XXXX XXXX site and XXXX investigation report which found in my favor. I am seeking help in resolving this issue. Please advise if your agency can be of assistance to me.

Complaint Pertaining To : Collecting account information from and having contact with the owner of my student loan, UNISA , INC. ( www.unisainc.com, XXXX ) I am extremely concerned about fraud with this company. On XX/XX/XXXX, I signed a disclosure statement at XXXX XXXX College of XXXX stating my understanding of undertaking a Federal Perkins Loan for {$3500.00}. Initially, the loan was owned by XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ), but was transferred to UNISA , Inc. on XX/XX/XXXX. Besides an initial letter and one quarterly statement I received on XX/XX/XXXX, I have received no correspondence from UNISA , Inc. They have a website, but it's links are non-functional. I emailed them earlier this month ( more than 14 days ago ), and no one has contacted me. No one answers their customer service line. I can not log in to their website because the website is telling me I have no account, but the link to create an account does not exist. All I want is access to my account to ensure that I have full understanding of how my payments ( which come out monthly despite not being able to contact the company ) are being applied to my loan. Please investigate the legitimacy of this company and advise on this issue as soon as possible.

I attended to XXXX College - XXXX XXXX and was advised by XXXX XXXX XXXX to take a private loan. This loan ( s ) has been sold to different asset management companies. The latest is XXXX XXXX XXXX who bought the loan and is currently the owner of it. Now, regardless who the owner of loan is, the manager of this account has always been Unisa , INC to whom I've been on a payment plan for awhile ( automated monthly payments are taken out of my credit card ) even though am on a payment plan with Unisa , Inc. XXXX XXXX XXXX ( new owner of the loan ) has reported my accounts ( 2 student loans ) to collections. They do not honor the payment plan with Unisa , INC. even after they became owners of the loan I was notified that Unisa , INC will continue to manage the loans and the my payment plan with remain in good standing for 12 more months.. I filed disputes with 3 major credit bureaus and they denied my request to remove negative collection information from my credit report because XXXX XXXX XXXX does not honor the payment play they notified me in writing about at the time they bought the student loan.

Every now and then when I make a payment to my student loan account with UNISA, the payment never reflects as being posted to the account. I have to contact them and let them know that a payment has been made and that my balance has not been affected. At first I was told that this was an issue with the new site. Although this has happened several times in the past. When I e-mail them to see what my balance is they tell me it is a balance that does not match up with what the site reads. Sometimes the payment that I have made will show up on the site, it just wo n't affect my balance until I reach out to them. Sometimes the payment does n't ever show up on the site until I have to e-mail them to follow up. Every time I reach out to them they swear up and down that everything looks good on their end. But the information that they have never matches the site. Something is definitely going on over there. Either someone is manually entering everything on this site or these people are trying to steal from XXXX students that do n't pay attention to their finances. Please Help

I had a Perkins loan through XXXX XXXX University that I was paying through the loan servicer, XXXX, along with some other student loans. I graduated in XXXX and began paying on these about 6 months after that. In XXXX, my loans from XXXX were transferred to a different servicer, XXXX, and I then continued paying them. Recently, I received a full credit report from XXXX and was made aware that this Perkins loan was in default, dating back to XXXX when my loans were transferred from XXXX. After contacting XXXX XXXX University on XX/XX/XXXX about this I was made aware that this Perkins loan was actually transferred to a loan servicer, UNISA, and not to XXXX with my other loans. However I was never contacted by UNISA or XXXX XXXX to be made aware of this change in servicer. Therefore I had no information to make payments and I believed I had been paying this Perkins loan through XXXX along with my other loans that were previously with XXXX. Once I found out this information I immediately paid this Perkins loan off in full on XX/XX/XXXX so that it was no longer in default.

So I'm currently XXXX XXXX I've been in since XXXX. I am currently looking into buying a house so when I get out of the XXXX my family won't be homeless. My lender ran my credit and saw I had like XXXX in collections from unisa Inc and I don't even know who these people are. They say it's a private student loan I took out in XXXX but I was told by the people that helped me fill everything out at the school that I was just going to have federal loans which are currently under XXXX and are in deferment due to my situation. I'm sure I would have remembered taking out a private loan. Also after contacting them abiut the situation and asked for them to send me proof right away and I still haven't received anything and it's been almost a week. They said they tried to contact me for years yet I never got an email or phone call. Honestly feels like a scam and it's putting a halt to my home buying process.

I had XXXX for my previous loan servicer and was transferred to UNISA. It has been nothing but trouble with UNISA. My first month, they had the due date wrong. Ok, made my first payment with them with the corrected due date. I had paid XXXX XXXX onXX/XX/XXXX these are supposed to be quarterly payments, mind you. I get a bill from UNISA for the same amount with the due date ofXX/XX/XXXX I called them, they said it was a mistake and it 's actuallyXX/XX/XXXX. Great, problem solved, so they processed my check on XX/XX/XXXX. I get a bill today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) with the amount of XXXX due on XX/XX/XXXX My concern is 1. This is n't quarterly payments. 2. This is my second call with them. 3. How am I supposed to gather this money within two and half weeks so I do n't have an issue with my credit score? There is not much notice to me, never-mind the billing date being wrong.

On XX/XX/18, I received a notice that a collection was put onto my XXXX Credit report by XXXX XXXX XXXX for 2 accounts ( {$5400.00} and {$2300.00} ). I called Unsia, Inc and they verified that the account was in good standing and did not know why XXXX XXXX XXXX was reporting it to the credit bureau. XXXX College of XXXX was paid directly since graduation for a Perkins Loan. The parent company kept reporting late pays on my credit report because of their slow processing. The loan had never been sent a late payment as every payment has been made on the XXXX of each month via Bill Pay from my bank. The loan is now being paid directly to the Lean Holder, UNISAINC. I have spoken to XXXX College in the past, and nothing has been resolved. I am, unfortunately, at the point of retaining legal counsel to deal with this loan. It is not my wish, but I am now forced to seek such action.

However as of today that has not happened because the school in question has since been reporting negatively and stated they never received the forms.

I called the debt creditor and they told me they outsourced my account to a third party. However, XXXX XXXX is the third party. I called the company XXXXthey outsourced, they said they could record the call but if I recorded the call they would hang up. They wouldnt give me a legitimate website or account details via mail. They demanded a $ XXXX settlement from $ XXXX. But couldnt give me a secure way to pay.

I have been regularly paying a private institutional loan to this company since XXXX 2018, but the loan has never appeared on my credit reports. When I asked a representative as to why the loan or was not appearing on my XXXX XXXX report, the company did not have an answer. After reviewing all three of my credit reports, I found that UNISA, INC. was not listed or accounted for on any of them.
