I have been trying to contact XXXX XXXX and XXXX for 1 month but neither one of them have returned mine or my fiancs, XXXX XXXX, phone calls. We have worked with XXXX XXXX since about XX/XX/XXXX with intentions to use your mortgage company. We met with XXXX once and he stated about this {$290.00} to help with XXXX credit. He never said it was non-refundable nor did it even help at all with his XXXX credit. XXXX then emailed us a contract for us to electronically sign. Like the gullible, nave people we are, we trusted XXXX and your company and signed it. Somewhere In that very tiny print it stated that this {$290.00} was non-refundable. We received this paperwork in the mail for us actually to sign, which we never did!!! Things went very quickly and we found a house, we gave XXXX the numbers for this house and like everyone else in this world we shopped with other mortgage companies. We went to 2 other companies and neither of them took any money from us! We found one that XXXX credit was better and so were the numbers for everything else making our monthly mortgage payment cheaper so we went with that company. We then asked for our {$290.00} back. XXXX then informed us it was non-refundable. And then at that point did I look through the packet and find the actual paper that says it. But that paper did not have our signatures. XXXX then stated that he wanted another chance to match the numbers of this other mortgage company and if he couldnt match it he would return our {$290.00}. So, we gave XXXX the opportunity and sent him this other mortgage companies numbers but then XXXX did not fulfill his deal and never gave us UniFirsts Numbers. Therefore, another reason our {$290.00} should be returned to us. I come to you as a hardworking, honest, trustworthy person who works very hard for our money and values every XXXX. XXXX and I are getting married in 2 months and have XXXX children we are blending. {$290.00} is huge to us!!! If I was told from XXXX in our one and only meeting that this was non-refundable then I would have NEVER given it to him! I am asking you to please return our {$290.00}. We have been trying to reach this owners of this company for a while now and would like at least acknowledgement that you have received my phone messages as well as this email. If not, I will be contacting the better business bureau as well as the consumer financial protection bureau. I would also hate to let all of our family and friends as well as social media know the bad experience we have had with UniFirst Mortgage. Thank you XXXX XXXX

Starting back in XX/XX/2018, we applied for a FHA mortgage through Unifirst Mortgage company. However, we were told by XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX we needed to clear some conditions, which we did along with getting a credit card and paying them {$190.00} towards application fees which we would get back at closing. Unfortunately, the company partnered with XXXX XXXX XXXX loan # XXXX and the requirements changed per loan officer XXXX XXXX and we was told we did not qualify because of our credit score and one collection account added. They have prolonged the process, acted as if we were on a program and will be graduating on XX/XX/XXXX, which was a lie. They wasted months of our time, which I had explained we were staying in a hotel until process was finalized, but they overlooked and failed to provide details of getting approved. They pushed our graduation back several times and then later tell us we needed a 600 credit score to qualify for FHA loan. This has cost us months of paying unnecessary hotels rates and also if they know the approval requirements, it should have been disclosed earlier. Now they are telling me again, We have to wait until XX/XX/XXXX to be reviewed again, which makes no sense and We completed have already met and completed conditions.

On XXXX XXXX 2017 I had spoken with Unifirst Mortgage. I had clicked on preapproval on the XXXX Application. I was contacted by XXXX XXXX via phone call by their office. It was at that time I expressed I was only looking to see if we, my husband and I could even get a preapproval. I had zero understanding on the process and expressed this. I was charged a fee to go foward with submitting an application. I was told we would have to get a FHA loan. I later found out with my husband from a local company we are actually able to get a USDA loan, which we are going foward with. I contacted Unifirst to get my money back and was told the payment was actually for a credit analysis. This was not what we was trying to do. We only followed instruction by the loan officer 's at Unifirst, thinking this was an only option. We found out again, this was wrong. I felt uncomfortable at the time paying for an application and am still upset over the fact, that I was dismissed and no further contact was given after I requested for the refund.
