I received the following e-mail regarding a " delinquent '' account for my mother who has been deceased since XX/XX/XXXX and who was in a care home with XXXX for 5 years prior to that. The address on the account is one she has not lived at for more than 8 years. Thus, this is an impossible debt in the first place and second, if there were a legitimate claim they should have made it before the estate closed. On XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX I received an email from Advanced Capital Solutions in regards to an attempt to collect a debt. The original furnisher list is XXXX. As of XX/XX/XXXX I am officially disputing this debt. I am filing this complaint to dispute the debt that you are attempting to collect on behalf of XXXX. The account number for this debt listed in the email is XXXX. Reference number XXXX. I am disputing this debt because I do not believe that I owe it. I have never received any documentation from XXXX regarding this debt, and I do not recall ever having an account with them. Furthermore, I have never signed an agreement for my information to be shared or sold to Advanced Capital Solutions, nor do I have a contract with Advanced Capital Solutions. This is a direct violation of my consumer rights cited by the FDCPA. I am requesting that you verify this debt. Please provide me with copies of all original written documentation that you have that supports this debt, including the original bill, any payment records, and any correspondence that you have had with me regarding this debt. On XX/XX/2023, an agent representing Advanced Capital Solutions released information about my debt to a third party via telephone. The agent contacted the third party, my father, at a phone number not associated to my account. He asked who was calling and what it was in regards to. The agent informed the third party that they represented Advanced Capital Solutions and were a debt recovery agency. They further advised the third party that they were trying to reach me in regards to several XXXXXXXX XXXX that I owed to them in debt. This third party was unaware of my debt, much less that it was several XXXX XXXX and explained to Advanced Capital Solutions that his phone number has no connection to me. He further explained we live at separate addresses, do not share any finances, he confirmed the phone number the agent gave him was my only contact number, and advised the agent that he would pass along a message for me to contact them. After the third party advised me of all the information that Advanced Capital Solutions disclosed to him, I placed a call to the phone number the agent gave him ( XXXX ). A gentleman answered the phone and identified himself as representing Advanced Capital Solutions. I gave my name and explained that my information had been released to a third party without my permission. I also advised that I would like to discuss my debt as well as address the release of information. The gentleman stuttered, asked me to hold, and then placed me on hold. When he returned to the line, he stated he had to connect me with a supervisor and transferred the call. The line I was transferred to had a generic message. It did not identify a specific person and indicated to leave a voicemail with my name, phone number, and best time to be reached. I left my name, phone number, best time to be reached, as well as a detailed message. I explained that one of their agents released my personal financial information to an unaffiliated third party without my permission. I explained what information was released, stated that they should remove the third partys contact number from their database, explained that I believed the release of information without solicitation or my consent was illegal and asked for someone to please call me back to discuss. I have not received a response from anyone with their company. I have read the governments guidelines on collection agencies responsibilities in regards to protecting consumer data and release of information to third parties. I believe Advanced Capital Solutions has violated the governments regulations by releasing my information to an unaffiliated third party without my concent. They have also failed to contact me to address this violation.

I received a call from XXXX ( XXXX ) on behalf of GS Holdings. XXXX told me that my mother had outstanding debt from a hospital visit from XX/XX/2010 that was sold to GS Holdings. XXXX said GS Holdings would take my mother to court is she did n't pay the debt. I requested proof. I was sent an email from XXXX which contained the last ( XXXX ) of her social, the name of the hospital she received care from in XX/XX/2010 and the " original account '' number from the hospital. After some pressure applied from the XXXX agent ( said the court filing could be filed as early as the next day, in which case she would be taken to court ), I payed {$760.00}, after negotiating the price down from {$1300.00}. I received a receipt after the payment. Everything appeared in order. Several days later I called the hospital billing department. I spoke to the hospital representative and asked if there was archived account from the account number given to me by XXXX. Nothing. I then gave my mothers full name. Nothing. The hospital had no record of an outstanding debt. I called GS Holdings at XXXX. The person on the other end seemed surprised I called. There first question they asked after I called is who told you to call here. I told them that I was concerned about the charge and that I would like some sort of documentation that proved my mother was in fact in debt and they owned it. They provided nothing and only redirected me to there director of compliance who was not available. Ok. I left my name and number. The director of compliance, XXXX, called me back and had a very vague explanation for why my mother was charged. He stated that I had called the wrong people at the hospital and that I should call again for the info. At this point I told him that I was going to start a fraud dispute with my bank to dispute the charge. He immediately responded that refund the money. I called my bank and let them know. They told me to wait ( 15 ) days, as merchants have ( 15 ) days to refund the money after a dispute before they get involved. I 'm giving them ( 15 ) days. However, I feel that they should be investigated for suspicious activity.

The debt was settled some time ago with the original company. They wrote off the debt and submitted a tax paper for funds that I now owed taxes on. I do n't have that information anymore. The tax papers have since been destroyed as the tax papers were over 7 years old. The business is closed. The debt was bought by another firm claiming to be Advanced Credit Solutions. In order to get them off the phone and they did not give me time to find any information stating the debt was settled ... I gave them an amount I would settle for and they sent me a paper for me to sign that stated I owed the debt and it was settled for an amount. I never signed the paper nor returned the information. I called them back on the number they gave me and it was a false number and part of a scam number. I reported them to my bank to stop payment immediately. They could not give me a true number. I refuse to pay for something I had in the past taken care of. They are playing on old debts that people ca n't remember. My bank investigated and they cleared me of the fee I had begun to pay. I am not paying people who lie and give me spam numbers as call back numbers. At the moment I am not sure what the number was but it was in my report to XXXX XXXX dispute department. They lie and prey on old debts that no one can prove if they took care of the debt. They have many alerts and information on scams and I know they recorded my call so they should have that as proof I was denying the debt in the beginning and their strong arm techniques to get money from me. Even documents they sent me had different numbers on them from the numbers they gave me to call them. I think if you research the debts they are trying to collect on, they are debts from companies that no longer exist. Thanks for listening.

I received at phone call to my cell phone number XXXX at XXXX from a gentleman whom claimed to be calling to collect a debt from XXXX XXXXXXXX in the amount of {$410.00} he advised he needed to verify the last four of my ssn which he was correct, he then proceeded to say how can we take care of the balance i advised him that i would like a letter sent to me he advised he would do it through email and asked for my email address, when i received the email it came from XXXX there was a phone # to call XXXX also a letter attached, on the letter its not signed by corprate office or anyone from that company it does not disclose any options to dispute debt just states federal law requires we notifiy this is an attempt to collect a debt by a debt collector any any information obtained will be used for that purpose. states creditor is XXXX XXXX orginal creditor XXXX XXXXXXXX orginal acct # XXXX ref # XXXX. i then called the place where i took out the loan at XXXX at XXXX spoke to XXXX whom advised that there is no debt owed that it was XXXX and company paid it she then advised me to call there corp office so i did that at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX the woman i spoke with advised me that she has same system as XXXX so if XXXX is not showing a balance then there is no balance owed. she googled the ph # and info regarding Advanced Captiol Solutions and she advised it was coming up as a fraud ph # and to file a complaint with the CFPB, which i am doing now.

GS Holdings in NY called me last week and demanded I pay a debt and threatened that papers were filed to sue me. I gave them my debit card after they told me they would send verification that I paid and the debt was cancelled as soon as my card went through. They immediately took {$1000.00} out of my account..I never received any verification letter ( they were supposed to email it ) .I waited 5 days and no letter so I contacted my bank and they reported it as fraud. I realized I was scammed. One week later a man named XXXX XXXX the director of operations so he said, called and started threatening me because I cancelled the payment and reported it. He started screaming at me and threatening me. I told him to stop yelling at me that he was not my father and he is unprofessional. He screamed " You sound like my wife '' ... .I told him I talked to my lawyer and my lawyer said to have GS holdings call him call him. The man started screamed at me again and then hung up. I tried to call the number back and it said the number was unavailable. That is definitely fishy, why would a legitimate company not have telephone that worked? And they called off different numbers but all from XXXX XXXX My lawyer said debt collectors can not call you and they can not yell at you or threaten you. He told me to absolutely not pay it, he thought it was a scam!! They should be shut down!!!

They some how got ahold of my parents phone number saying that they were looking for me concerning a debt amount. They disclosed my personal debt information to my parents which really upset me!!!! Then when I called them they said that I had to set up a payment plan right away of legal action was going to be taken. I reluctantly set up a payment plan but ending up no having the amount when it was going to be due. I called them to tell them that I wasnt able to make the payment. They again threaten me with legal action it it wasnt paid. I stated to stop calling me and that I would be able to pay the balance in full in XX/XX/XXXX. I have told them to stop contacting me and my family both via email and via phone message. They call me 1 time a week and have been doing this for 2 months. Its very frustrating. I have never received and paperwork via USPS stating that they want legal action and this account isnt even reported to any of the 3 credit bureaus. I understand that I owe the debt and I plan to pay it when I get the money. But repeatedly calling me and threading me with legal consequences doesnt make me want to pay it.

I have received several calls from a company called Advanced Capital Solutions about a payday loan that I supposedly received from XXXX. I have informed them on all of the calls that I am not aware of what loan they 're referring to & have repeatedly requested information in writing stating who I owed the money to, when loan originated, whenwhen the funds were deposited into my account, when they tried to withdraw the funds from my account & how much I owed. They said that they would send me an email which I never received. I then received another phone call today in which I asked the woman to send me the information via postal mail since I never received the emails that they supposedly sent & she refused saying that it would be too costly to the company to send anything through the postal service. I did, however receive an email but it only stated that I owed {$530.00}, it contained no other information that I requested. I suspect that this is a scam attempting to collect on a old debt or debt that I know nothing about.

I have provided Advanced Capital Solutions with a cease and desist request asking that they do not contact my family or friends or anyone else by phone. I also wish to bring awareness to the appropriate government agency that they are not in compliance with applicable laws regarding the sharing of personal information related to any alleged debt with anyone other than myself. I keep getting calls from ADVANCE CAPITAL SOLUTIONS regarding a debt NOT IN MY NAME. They keep mentioning in voicemail the message is for XXXX. I dont know anyone by that name! They have been calling me for months now. Dozens of times per day. I have spoken with someone there numerous times and told them they have the wrong number. Stop calling. I have since had to pay for a call blocking service on my phone. Now they are getting around that! Today alone, Ive received 26 calls between a 6-hour timespan, sometimes 2 or 3 within a minute or less. They are spoofing other peoples phone numbers, because Ive called a few back which appeared to be local, and they were elderly people I didnt know, who hadnt been on the phone. The calls appear to come from a different number, and when they leave a voicemail, its instead XXXX, extension XXXX. Please issue a CEASE AND DESIST to them IMMEDIATELY.

On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX EST. XXXX XXXX called me and said that they have my Social Security number and read it back to me. Then read my Drivers Liecense number back to me. Told me I took out a loan with XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX which I told them I never took out that loan. They told me I did and they have proof from a bank I do not have an account with that was not even a bank in XXXX ( XXXX bank sold out to XXXX and XXXX in XXXX ). Then said I worked XXXX XXXX XXXX winery which I have not worked there since XXXX. I told them that I filed this as a identity problem with another collection agency. They hung up on me and said they will file a lawsuit. I called back and asked for an address and was hung up on after being told they are in XXXX Georgia. I attended a college in XXXX, XXXX in XXXX, Florida where I attempted a certificate in XXXX. The school was closed by either the Feds or Florida because of its unscrupulousness with students. As a result i am currently paying back my federal student loans, but i have been recently hounded by a private company requesting to pay XXXX dollar private loan that was taken out by XXXX enterprise in my name. I did not sign a promissory note about the private loan. and it was be foolish to take out a private loan when I am afforded opportunities to pay for my education with subsidize and unsubsidized student loans. I would like the harassment to stop. Additionally, the company can not provide me with any information regarding the loan and neither can they tell what my rights and responsibilities as laid by the law with loan collection. this XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX has called me numerous time and uses a different number to call this last time it was XXXX and left a XXXX number for me to call I called him for the last time today and again he has refused to send me anything in writing about this debt he said I owed and each time he has called it has been a different amount. I f I am not mistaken the debt collector is suppose to send after 5 days a notice in the mail and I have yet to see one. that is all I am asking for and his threate of other legal action is not worth the paper it is written on because he is very rude and I get rude back at him. Simply send me something in written form and an address to write them back and I will work on settling this debt. In other words send me the notice and the correct amount if you are legit and I will proceed from there.

Phone call on home landline phone from Advance Capital Solutions claiming to be a debt collector and alleging that I have an outstanding debt from 2011 to XXXX in the amount of approximately {$160.00}. Wanted me to pay it immediately by credit card or send check. I told them the debt was not mine and requested a copy of the XXXX membership contract with my name. They kept insisting it was my debt and I needed to pay it. I said when I receive information then I will probably file a police report of identity theft if it truly shows my name and address, etc. I gave them my address to mail to. I signed up for this dating service, XXXX XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/2012. The representative of this company did a bait and switch of their dating services. She also did not give me a copy of the contract until after the three day rights of recission expired. I also was an emotional wreck when I came into the office and signed it under duress. I received a phone call from someone claiming to be from Advanced Capital Solutions claiming I owe a debt. They sent me an email stating how much I allegedly owe, but the information that was in the email did not advise me of my right to dispute the debt.
