In XXXX I reached out to TriStar Finance, to inquire about refinancing my mortgage. Having been unable to reach anyone by phone, I partially filled out their online mortgage application, which I did not immediately submit due to being unsure about some of the information requested by the application. Several days later, I received an email from a third-party settlement company notifying me that an account has been opened on my behalf. That email did not identify itself as being related to TriStar. I called the company identified in the email, at which point they informed me that this account was opened at the request of TriStar. At that point, I still had not had any chance to discuss the loan terms with anyone from TriStar and I had not signed any authorizations for third party services. I was eventually able to get in contact with a loan officer from TriStar finance, who was ultimately able to provide me with a loan estimate. Another lender matched the TriStar estimate, at which point I informed TriStar Finance that was opting to work with a different lender. TriStar responded by sending an abusive email, which I can only take as an attempt to cover up their failings and to pressure me into working with TriStar. Text of the email sent by XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX is attached. Note that XXXX makes several factually false misrepresentations in this email and disparages competitors. With regard to alleged expenses incurred by TriStar Finance, please note that I did not consent to any expenditures on my behalf, except for requesting an initial loan estimate from TriStar Finance, as well as a revised loan estimate.

I contacted the below company/agent : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Originator Office : XXXX Email : XXXX Fax : XXXX NMLS : XXXX | XXXX Licensing : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, WA XXXX XXXX : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX called me to help me find a good mortgage deal for my refinance with cash-out. He had me give him all my private financial records and after that that he asked me for a credit card to charge me for a credit report. He did not disclose upfront that it will cost me to have him check my credit. But that was not the main problem I had with him, from XX/XX/2022 to XXXX, he refused to provide me with a " Loan Estimate '' unless I give him the the Loan Estimates I received from his competitors who I was working with. He tricked me to give him my SSN and he registered a hard inquiry on my credit report for no reason what so offer. He should not have taken all my private financial information and then ask my for my credit card without being upfront. And I didn't need my credit pulled for no reason and without providing me with any help at all.
