I received a voice mail message from a restricted phone number from XXXX XXXX, who claimed to be processing paperwork for her client. She threatened to negatively impact my employment by trying to embarrass me at my place of work by delivering her paperwork to my supervisor or a " high level member of security. '' I called the number she left on my voicemail, XXXX. I was given the case number XXXX.
I called the number and spoke with XXXX XXXX, who said he works for a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX, in XXXX, TX.
After multiple XXXX searches, i couldn't find anything to verify that this company is even real.
After telling XXXX XXXX that I would not be giving him any money, i received another call from XXXX XXXX, who was supposed to be bringing me, according to XXXX XXXX, " important paperwork '' regarding the matter.
XXXX XXXX never showed up, so I called XXXX again and spoke to XXXX XXXX. He disconnected the call after I made it clear that I don't believe this is a real company.
When I called back, i was immediately transferred to the " Operations Manager '' that could not provide me the name of their client or the name of the company XXXX XXXX works for.
After I made it clear that I believe I'm being scammed, he disconnected the call.
Further calls go to voice mail.
