Three days before our scheduled closing date of XX/XX/20, the Mortgage Loan Originator called to tell me that our loan was not approved. This was after receiving a preliminary approval letter on XX/XX/20 at which date and personal meeting with loan originator we reviewed in detail any potential problems. There are no disclaimers on our conditional loan approval indicating any reservations about our ability to get a conventional mortgage. We came under contract with the seller of the property we wanted on XX/XX/20 and submitted a {$5000.00} deposit. We submitted every document that the loan originator requested within hours of said request. On the other hand, we continuously called his office for feedback and next steps ( we have copies of text messages and other correspondence ). We had an earie feeling that we were being lied to about the speed and competency that our paperwork was being processed for the underwriter. On XX/XX/20 our realtor informed us that an appriasal had not been scheduled even though we paid for it on XX/XX/20. As of XX/XX/20, we were told we were on track that appraisal would be done that day and turned around in 24 hours so we secured a Homeowners Policy. On XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/20 the loan originator called to tell me that we did not qualify for a mortgage.
