The company is XXXX. The collection agency is Total Customer Service , Inc . However, I ironicaly was treated with horrible customer service when calling to dispute the debt & in fact, the gentleman I was talking to on the phone literally just hung up on me while I was talking ... It was rather rude. So anyways, I received a promotional letter, for what appeared to be a sweepstakes giveaway with a large cash incentive as the main prize. Naturally curious as to winning the cash prize, so I could clear other legitimate medical debts of mine, I called the number on the letter that I received & was instantly asked a few various simple questions about my life. Then after answering those survey questions, they said I qualified for a free nice watch & they requested my address to send me the free watch, that was promised to me. Next, they also requested my credit card info to verify my age/identity/etc ... After collecting that info, they had an immediate request for money to start a magazine subscription, to which i declined, multiple times. I was assured that I 'd was getting the watch still, however I never received it & instead a women 's beauty magazine of some sort was mailed to me by them but it actually went to my Mother 's address ... Which by the way, she 's a witness for the entire incident & was present during the conversation I had initially. I definitely NEVER ordered a magazine subscription or authorized a charge for anything of the like. I 'm a XXXX year old male & it was a women 's beauty magazine that they sent me, which should hopefully reveal how much of a scam this was/is. I hope others are n't being harassed with ridiculous fraudulent charges from this con-artist company. It is a complete scam & they lie to you about everything that is " offered '' or " won ''. MY card had no funds on it so the purchases never processed, which I mentioned to them on the phone so they would n't attempt to charge anything, yet it appears that they did. Recently I received a bill from them for a collection of {$67.00} or something close to that price, via the mail. Except, I 'm confused how I owe anything? I definitely do n't & regardless of the watch or the amount of supposed " debt '', this is all just fundamentally incorrect & morally wrong/unfair for me, as well as any other member of the general public that they 've prey on for falsely, " owed '' money. Please help us good people.. In my opinion. this company should not be allowed to operate.

In the summer of XXXX ( exact date unknown ) I entered a vacation sweepstakes in a magazine I regularly receive called XXXX XXXX. After a few weeks, I received a phone call from an unknown number saying that I had made it to the final round in the sweepstakes and was now being offered a free trial of magazines. Thinking this was in partnership with XXXX XXXX, a magazine company I trust, I consented to the FREE trial. I was told I could choose from a wide variety of magazines and that I would receive several varieties in a month. However, I received Glamour and XXXX XXXX, neither which I chose, which I just threw away thinking it was no harm since I didnt pay for them to begin with. A few months go by again and I receive a phone call saying that I owe money for these magazines. I gave a rebuttal that I do not owe them anything since I never consented to pay for these magazines I never wanted. I cancelled and the man on the phone hurriedly says XXXX take me of the list. At this point, I moved to a different location and forgot about the ordeal completely. Again, a few weeks to months go by and I receive a phone call saying that I owe a balance on the magazines I was receiving. However, I was told that my renewal would be cancelled and all debts removed for just {$50.00}. Confused at how I ever got into having to pay anything at all for a service I didnt want, I mistakenly obliged to pay {$50.00} just to drop the matter. I was charged {$49.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. However, within the same month I was charged another {$49.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. Irritated, I called and tried to confirm my cancellation, telling them I was still receiving the magazine though I never renewed. They said I would continue to receive magazines for the amount Id already paid ( {$50.00} ), but that my subscription was indeed taken off the renewal list. However, I was then informed of a balance of $ 600+ dollars! I explained I never wanted this service and cancelled long ago and told them this amount would not be paid. I then proceeded to cancel my card to receive no further charges. They continue to call and harass me at least once a week. The amount then went to the collection agency Total Customer Service , Inc which, according to XXXX reviews has worked exclusively with XXXX XXXX XXXX and similar scams. Therefore, I am choosing not to interact with them and instead wanting to consult a more assured process.

I was told I owed for magazines that I ordered by phone in XXXX of this year. They verified my address, and said they had a recording of me ordering the magazines. It never happened, I have never received any of the magazines, ten of them, that he said I had ordered. He was very aggressive. I told him that it was a fraudulent debt, that either they, or the company that supposedly sent me to collection, had invented this debt. I am XXXX and I think they are just trying to prey on an elderly person. I told him that if they didn't call me back within 24 hours and either have a copy of the phone call I can listen to, or cancel the phony debt, I would report them to whatever agency I could. They called me back the next day and told me the debt was cancelled, without explanation. I just want it on the record that either they or a company with which they do business is preying on the eldery and anyone else who has this experience with them should report them as well.

I need to file, the Statutes Of Limitation for a debt has been place on me, to, Fair Debt Collection Act. the third- party companies that collect debt on behalf of other business. are infamous for some of their underhanded tactic. used to collect debts from consumers.and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act knowing my right with debt even keep me from paying debt for which you have no legal obligation FDCPA applies to third- party collection agencies not the original company they created the account.

XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXXTOTAL CARD XXXX As well as the XXXX XXXX card if it changed at all it should reflect open It's the same Bank THIS ACCOUNT IS IN USE HEAVILY AND RECENTLY AND HAS NEVER BEEN CLOSED NOR DID I REQUEST IT TO BE. THERE WAS CLEARLY A MISCOMMUNICATION. I have reported this account and no one seems to understand what I'm saying. You can't update it anymore there are XXXX changes to be made BUT the only request I have.
