Got a voicemail on my cell phone last week while I was working from an individual named XXXX XXXX calling from a company called XXXX. He mentioned also in the voice mail that I had to call him regarding a serious concern regarding a client who was referred to his office and that theyre offering me to do a statement from me or my attorney. And if I didnt call him back they were going to take further action without my input. He never identified himself as a debt collector or said it was an attempt to collect a debt on the voice mail so it left me wondering. He just identified himself as an advisor. I called to leave a voicemail asking what it was in reference to and what is this XXXX company about. He called and left another voicemail stating that due to privacy laws he cant state specifics via voicemail. So I called back on the next business day and Mr. XXXX answered. I asked him what he company was and he just said its called XXXX, and that its a prelegal collections company. He didnt state it was an attempt to collect a debt, they just straightforward said that they wanted me to pay a debt from a payday loan that was 8 months old. They demanded payment upfront and I couldnt pay. They said that they can do a payment plan. I told Mr. XXXX that I can agree to a payment plan but that I will manually call to pay via phone or mail in the payments. Mr. XXXX stated that there was no option but auto pay because the account was 8 months defaulted, and was persistently saying that only autopay was the only option now. And he then asked for my card information and I honestly felt coerced to give him my information due to fear of legal action. I never received a letter from this collection company before. I have been a victim of fraud before and I was very hesitant to give them my information. I also asked for the company address and Mr. XXXX was hesitant to say it, he just said it was located in XXXX, NY. I was then transferred to another person who got my payment details and emailed me a schedule of payments that I had to sign online and email back. I havent signed the documents yet because I dont feel secure that this a legitimate company because their actions and practices raised red flags to me. I then called my law firm and spoke to them regarding what happened and they initially looked into it and. They discovered that he company was not located in XXXX, NY, but in XXXX NY. And also they discovered that their website features an online portal to Pay and that it didnt matter how old the debt is, that they shouldve offered me options to pay, not just with autopay. They also said that I shouldve gotten a letter beforehand but I never did. The law firm called the same number to verify if this a legitimate company and the same number Mr. XXXX called me from and had his voicemail on, and another person with a different name answered. They are going to look further into this matter and they suspect it could be a fraudulent company. I fear now that they can use my account information. Online they are under the name XXXX XXXX XXXX, not XXXX. They never mentioned to me it was called XXXX XXXX Solutions

This is all the information I provided them in regards to the violations, along with an invoice for compensation [ {$43000.00} ] & all of the US Codes they violated. I reached out to XXXX about my account at the beginning of XXXX of 2020 to settle my debt in the amount of $ XXXXI was advised by the representative my account was sold to a collection agency called XXXX XXXX XXXX . I proceeded to call and email XXXX XXXX to settle my debt, however, my emails went unanswered and the number listed on the website and provided by XXXX just continuously rang. I was finally able to get a representative on the phone on XXXX XXXX2020 and that representative then informed me that the account was then sold to another collection agency called, Spire Recovery Solutions. That same day, I called Spire Recovery Solutions to settle my account, which I did for less than the amount that was owed and advised by the representative the status of the will be updated with the credit bureaus within 14-30 days. My issue is after I received my settlement letter it states. " Spire Recovery Solutions , LLC is in receipt of your payment ( s ) and they have been applied to your account. The above referenced account has been considered paid-in-full with a balance of {$0.00}. Contact the following credit report agencies and send them a copy of this notice according to their instructions. XX/XX/XXXX : XXXX XXXX XXXX : XXXX XXXXXX/XX/XXXX : XXXX XXXX ''. I have done this action and each credit reporting agency has come back and says that the debt is valid and still derogatory and owed. I have done my due diligence to pay the debt, and I expect the correct information to be reported on my credit reports. Spire Recovery Solutions collected funds under false pretenses, never contacted the original creditor that the account was paid in full and more importantly reported to all three credit bureaus that the account has been settled. This is considered fraud!

Apparently one of my creditors charged off my account. Spire Recovery purchased the bad debt. I was contacted by a representative from Spire Recovery informing me that she was authorized to collect the payments on my outstanding debt. She told me the amount that was due, I disagreed with the amount. I told her that I would contact the original creditor. I also asked for a debt validation letter. the representative told me that I should have received written notification. I told her that I didn't and asked if she could resend the debt validation letter or email the information to me. She refused. I asked for the company 's address, she refused to give me the address, indicating I didn't need it. She also stated that she was surprised that my account was still in their office because it was now a legal matter. On XX/XX/2021 One of the Representatives called one of my friends and left a voicemail. She identified herself by name and said " I am documenting my failure to communicate with our office and provide a documented statement, we are required to update and submit a written refusal to comply with our recordings of our attempt to reach you. This matter will be submitted further the end of the business day on XX/XX/XXXX ''. I called this representative and explained to her that I did not provide authorization for her to contact one of my friends. She responded stating that I gave authorization to her client and names and addresses were included in the information she received from my client. I repeated that I never gave her or her company authorization to contact my friends. I asked again for a debt validation letter and was unsuccessful.

i received an email from a corporation, SPIRE RECOVERY SOLUTIONS LLC with a letter enclosed dated XX/XX/2023 in an attempt to collect an alleged debt in the amount of {$4500.00}. i refuse to pay. SPIRE RECOVERY SOLUTIONS LLC shall not communicate with me in any attempt to collect a debt -- that's directly or indirectly. Indirect communication includes reporting on any of my consumer credit reports. Within 10 days of receipt of this complaint, i am demanding that SPIRE RECOVERY SOLUTIONS LLC sends me the arbitration clause of the company where SPIRE RECOVERY SOLUTIONS LLC received my information. i feel very afraid of this PERSON, SPIRE RECOVERY SOLUTIONS LLC for having my personal information that was not given to SPIRE RECOVERY SOLUTIONS LLC by me. On XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX I received a text message from Spire Recovery Solutions asking me to contact them in reference to an account. I responded at XXXX that I had no idea what they are talking about. They immediately started to ask me personal information questions. ( DOB, SSN etc ) which I refused to answer until they told me what it was about. They directed me to call in which I didn't do because the calls are recorded and only recorded on their end. Which means I'm not afforded the protection or access to the recording. Then they directed me to a website, which requires me to agree to a number of conditions including consent to be continually contacted, more personal information, being recorded, agree to payments, that I don't even know if I'm responsible for etc. They then blasted me with 3 back to back auto robo text message about their hours. Then yesterday XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX they text me that they will not disclose any information to me before they get the information they want. At XXXX I asked them to not contact me again since they won't tell me what this about. Today XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX they again contacted me ( after being asked to stop ) telling me that they will not stop contacting me and if I change my mind and would like to give them the information they want to call them at XXXX I responded @ XXXX asking them again to stop contacting me and informed them that I will be reporting this and all future violations. This entire thread has been documented through text messages which I also did not consent to.

SRS called saying I allegedly owe a debt and it was placed with them by a client of theirs. 2 of their debt collectors hung up the phone on me while I was talking ( which was very rude and unfair ). The 3rd guy, XXXX whom Id spoken with, I asked him to transfer me over to his manager or Supervisor and the phone went silent for a few minutes, he didnt try to transfer me over but as soon as I said they are being recorded as well, I heard him immediately say hold on while I transfer you and a few seconds later the manager came on. They want to talk but when I start talking about their unfair practices, they hang up the phone as I continue to talk. As I talked with the manager, he was very rude, unfair, and the conduct was very much abusive with repeated infliction of verbal abuse, such as the use of derogatory remarks and insults, saying I need to stay off XXXX and XXXX from watching credit gurus. I felt very much insulted, belittled and they insulted my intelligence. I know the laws and I research FDCPA ( Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ) and FCRA ( Fair Credit Reporting Act ) all the time. I told the manager I do not watch XXXX and he insisted on trying to tell me that I do and that I watch XXXX and that I need to stop listening to it. Why is it that when a consumer who knows the laws, they talk to you as if you are uneducated and they are the only ones who know the laws? They were intimidating and deliberately tried to undermine my work and reputation and I honestly feel SRS was out to oppress me.

*****URGENT***** I called the XXXX XXXX XXXX office at XXXX at XXXX XX/XX/19 to speak with the representative in charge of my account. When the individual got on the phone he indicated that he was the manager and had been in charge of my account ( reference # XXXX ) since i started making payments a few months ago. Immediately after inquiring about assistance the individual proceeded to tell me that i was not smart for acquiring the debt that i have, passing extreme judgment on the amount i was paying and how the creditor that i acquired the debt with, threatened legal action against me if i modified my payments, yelled at me, spoke over me, refused to transfer my call to another representative, stated that he would not assist me with my concerns, noted to me that customer service was not his job nor his concern amongst several other demeaning and disrespectful comments. It is unfortunate that someone like this is allowed to speak to customers or individuals in my situation that have gone through extreme hardship and tragedy but are making several on time payments to rectify the situation as best as possible. I would like this escalated and action taken against this person. I am available at XXXX and would like to have my account transferred. I have filed several complaints and was denied the ability to speak to his manager during my call.

on XXXX/XXXX/15 i recieved an automated dialer call from Spire recovery. they left a message on my voicemail for my sister in law. they disclosed on the voicemail that she had an account in collections and disclosed the account number on my voicemail. i contacted spire via phone and was told they were handling an account for my sister in law and provided me a file number to reference. the dialer they are using features predictive dialing features which is a violation of the TCPA. Spire disclosing account information on my voicemail is a violation of the Gramm-Leach-Billey Act. the fact i was told they are handling an account is 3rd party disclosure and a violation of the FDCPA. They never stated their communication was an attempt to collect a debt by a debt collector. This is a violation of the FDCPA. i contacted the owners of the business XXXX and XXXX XXXX regarding these violations. they in turn had a business partner by the name of XXXX XXXX contact the owners of the company i work for. XXXX disclosed my sister in laws account to the owners of my company. This is a violation of the FDCPA again by disclosing 3rd party information. I believe Spire is not licensed to collect debt in any state and they have absolutely no regard for the law or rules.

XX/XX/XXXX : Received first ( and only ) written notice from Spire Recovery Solutions for a debt. The document stated XXXX XXXX now owns a debt that XXXX originally owned. The amount was {$2000.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. My spouse called the phone number for Spire Recovery Solutions ( Reference number is XXXX ). This company asked my spouse for my personal information. He did not supply any information, but the company provided an address, a state, a bank institution, and a false employer associated with the name on the debt. Some of the information was accurate but outdated. I called the number for XXXX. I spoke with a woman name XXXX. They asked for the reference number XXXX. They told me this account number was associated with my name, then she asked me for the last four digits of my social security number. I gave her this information. She said I needed to call the local police department and fax or email them the police report so their fraud department could correspond with my local police department. I called my local law enforcement agency. They told me the debt collection agency was a fraud, and so was XXXX. I was told no case number would be filed for the case because I needed to contact the FTC to file a report.

I and other family members were contacted via phone call by a collections company called Spire Recovery Solutions claiming that I owed a debt to XXXX XXXX for the amount of {$780.00}. They claimed that I had 48 hours to pay or dispute the charge by filing a police report ( this was on XX/XX/2023 ). I did not receive any correspondence about this charge via mail or email. When I asked them to send me concrete correspondence showing that I owed this, they claimed it would not arrive within 48 hours so it was meaningless to do so. I went to the police department ( on XX/XX/2023 ) to file a claim but needed the correspondence for the officer to create the report. The next day ( XX/XX/2023 ) I received a email from Spire Recovery Solutions with a delinquency notice stating that I owed the same amount to a different company named XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I plan to gather all the information I have to file the police report although when speaking to the officer, he stated that it all sounded like a scam because there was no correspondence, a call of urgency to pay, and lack of informational accuracy. I have also checked my credit report and it does not show that I incurred any line of credit from any of these companies.

" XXXX '', XXXX XXXX XXXX has contacted myself along with my father and my step-mother 's father ( on XX/XX/2018 ) with a voicemail containing false and misleading information. I have audio recording of the voicemail, including the agent stating their company name as " XXXX '' instead of the full company name. Agent, XXXX XXXX, proceeded to state legal action was going to be taken against me if there is no response. When contacting the agent on XX/XX/2018, the agent never stated the Mini-Miranda warning. Agent threatened to terminate call without resolve when I brought this up. Agent transferred me to a manager. Manager did stated the Mini-Miranda. Manager transferred me to the payment processor, and I signed a document listing the series of payments. No where on this document states I can not cancel this series of post dated payments. I contacted the company XX/XX/2018. Agent on the phone did not state the Mini-Miranda. Agent stated that I signed a contract of these series of payments and at first stated they can not be cancelled. Ive received calls from a company called XXXX. I asked for the name of the company and was told that XXXX is the companies registered name. On XX/XX/2020 I received a phone call and a letter from Spire Recovery Solutions that an Account had been turned over to them to collect. The amount was XXXX and they gave me an account and reference number, neither of which gave me any information about where the debt originated. I had to get a credit check from one of the credit bureau 's to find out who the account was with. I never received a bill or notification until the collection agency. I sill could not get any other information except the bank that issued the XXXX credit card. It was listed as written off with the credit bureau. The account was opened and the maximum amount of XXXX was immediately charged and of course no payment was ever made. I have no idea where or how my personal information was obtained to open this account. I don't know why I never received any notification or bill if they had my information. I received a call from a collection agency stating that I old a bill for {$3000.00} that I was unaware of. So I asked him to send me a copy of the bill or I needed validation of that debt. Spire Recover Solutions is a debt collection company. They contacted me via email which was filtered as spam. Never once did they send me a letter via mail or contact me via phone. Less than an hour later they began contacting former school classmates and people who had no current association with me claiming they were calling from the SRS Office in regards to me. This is completely unacceptable, illegal, and immoral behavior. I notified then that I do not have the money to pay and have no means to do so, I told them to put me on the Do Not Call List and they notified me that they would still contact me and hung up in my face.
