My husband and I worked with our credit union to consolidate and payoff all debts. Time Investment Company , Inc was one of those we were paying off. The interest rate alone was horrid and for 2 years the balance never went down after making nearly $ XXXX in payments. I wanted this loan gone as soon as possible and took action as soon as we qualified with our credit union for a loan. The first dispute I want to report about Time Investment starts XX/XX/XXXX when I received a letter in the mail from Time Investment stating our payments would now be made through a new servicer called XXXX and I should set up an online username and password with the new 9-digit account to may payments. I tried to do so, but it did not work because XXXX was not equipped with all of the new loan numbers yet. I called to try and make a payment, but there was no one who could help me when I called XXXX. They said I'd have to wait a few days to create an account with them. I had to wait until the following business day to call Time Investment. This made my payment possibly late due to their negligence since there was confusion about who would take the payment. When I did call the following weekday XX/XX/XXXX, Time Investment advised I'd have a grace period and they were sorry for the inconvenience due the online issue with XXXX. Since I called to request a payoff letter and was paying off the loan anyway, I had them order me the payoff letter so I could send it to the credit union since they were sending all the payoff checks out to pay off our various debts. I received the payoff letter from Time Investment which showed {$10000.00} was good through date of XX/XX/XXXX. My credit union sent out ALL checks on XX/XX/XXXX. The XXXX other creditors received those via USPS no later than XX/XX/XXXX. When I called Time Investment to verify on XX/XX/XXXX that they received the check to pay off the loan in full, they said the check was for the amount of {$10000.00}, and they claimed that they did not get the check until XX/XX/XXXX and I owed a balance due to per diem of {$42.00} ( which included a late fee of {$10.00} ). I told them the late fee should be waived because of their negligence not informing me in a timely manner of the service change and also for their not opening their mail on time. I kept asking them questions about why they received their check so late when my other debts had been received and cashed the checks no later than XX/XX/XXXX. I have all of the USPS tracking information on all of the lenders. Time Investment claimed XX/XX/XXXX was the date received and I owed {$32.00} but they would waive the {$10.00} late fee. I paid over the phone just to get them to close the account and get a release going to get this debt off of my house title. I still did not trust that they were telling me accurate info on when they received the very large check from my credit union. However ... ... .After further research, I retrieved the USPS tracking number from my credit union ( XXXX ) showing they mailed the payoff check on XXXX to the proper address on the payoff letter from Time Investment and it was RECEIVED and DELIVERED on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX. The check was in the amount of {$10000.00} which was 3 days of per diem added ( thru XX/XX/XXXX ). I believe this company has caused borrower harm and I am owed a refund of 11 days per diem since they received OVER THE AMOUNT OWED when they received the check on XX/XX/XXXX, then ended up making me pay even more per diem just to close the loan. Time Investment advised me I would be receiving a letter advising me the loan is paid in full and they would be releasing the lien from my house title. I am waiting on that currently.

Approximately XXXX of XXXX my family and I were approached by a vendor from XXXX XXXX at XXXX offering a free home water analysis. A Representative from XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) named XXXX XXXX came to the home to Test our water. He conducted a presentation XXXX pitch indicating how our water was bad and the equipment from XXXX XXXX XXXX would provide our home with the softest and cleanest water in town. I indicated that I was not able to purchase or agree to obtaining the products at the time due to medical and financial issues. He understood yet was persistent on getting the equipment that day as I would be offered an additional {$500.00} off the total price. I refused. I was speaking to a representative by the name of XXXX @ XXXX, negotiating on the price for the equipment. I asked if they gave any military discounts, since Im a proud husband of my wife who was serving for 22 years in our XXXX XXXX. I agreed to $ XXXX tax, which came to {$5600.00}. XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX A couple months later XXXX XXXX called me to follow up and inquire if this would be a better time to obtaining the unit and their services. I also provided her with a check to setup auto-pay. She stated that I could finance the unit and I agreed. Weeks later, I was advised that I was not approved to have it financed and that I would need to write a letter explaining my financial circumstances. I was asked to obtain a letter from a notary indicating that my wife had given me permission to have the unit installed in her home and that she was not able to finance it due to her military XXXX XXXX. I was advised that this process would be through their Time Investment Company , Inc ( TIC ) and also their in house financing. About 2 weeks later I received a phone call stating that I was approved, and they wanted to schedule an appointment to come out and install the equipment. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX came out to install the systems. I had been receiving numerous harassing emails and phone calls after I advised TIC about breaching their own contract, incomplete work that needed to be done along with damage to our home ( XXXX ) and that I wasn't going to be sending any payments to them. I contacted TIC numerous times trying to resolve all the issues and got nowhere. They attempted cashing one of my checks twice ( check # XXXX ), I had already canceled the auto-pay and contacted them about this. I received two {$29.00} NSF fees from my bank. Eventually I had the water tested and there was still hardness. This is a scam, its fraud. I sent them a cease and desist letter to TIC ( received by XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX ) - " To cease all communication with me in regard to the debt referenced above. Do not contact me, or any third parties regarding this debt via the telephone or email. '' I was contacted 4 times after they received my cease and desist letter ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX ). These are violations of my rights under Section 806 of the Harassment Act and Section 805 of The Privacy Act of the Fair Debt and Collection Practices Act. I can also provide more emails received before the cease and desist was sent if needed.

On XX/XX/10, I checked my online account for a payoff amount, which it indicated an amount of {$840.00}. I paid the full amount due and owing on XX/XX/10 in the amount of {$840.00}, which was the listed payoff amount. The following month, I received a billing statement asking for {$8.00} in interest that posted to the account on XX/XX/10 ; the same date of my payoff. I called the company to advise this was an error and they claimed it was per diem interest charged for each day following the previous month 's statement date. This statement is contrary to the system annotation received and to what is listed on the statement itself. Per the statement, this interest was billed after the payoff and subject to the full balance, which is misleading per the least sophisticated consumer.

XXXX payment was set up on an automatic payment plan with Time Investment Co. In XXXX I discovered that they had cancelled my automatic payment without notifying me. By the time I discovered this my next payment was already late. I made my payment through online banking through my checking account. I gave the company the check number, and proof that payment was made and asked them to stop calling me 3 times a day in writing on XX/XX/XXXX. They continued to call 3 times a day and email daily. On XX/XX/XXXX I told them again in email to stop calling me or I would report them for harrassing me. On XX/XX/XXXX they cashed the check, but they have continued to call me 3 times a day and email me daily.
