On XX/XX/XXXX, I was in the process of closing a reverse refinance loan with XXXX when they were notified by HUD that the current company holding my mortgage, Good Life Home Loans, had never insured the loan and that we could therefore not proceed until this loan got insured. Consequently, my file and application was going to be cancelled and closed and I was going to have to go through the grueling process of reapplying all over again. This is so unacceptable that they are causing this major setback, inconvenience, and trouble to put me through this. It is beyond my comprehension as to how and why this happened. There is no excuse for someone not doing their job and filing proper documents to get this loan insured or ever making sure it was insured. If I had not applied for a refinance both myself and Good Life would have never known my loan was never insured. This loan closed on XX/XX/XXXX so it has been nearly 6 months with an uninsured loan with Good Life Home Loans. After talking to the Good Life company, I was told this would be resolved by the end of the month. I am filing this complaint to make sure this happens as quickly as possible without wasting a lot of my time. Also, I want the owners of this company and all other people to know how incompetent this company was to allow this to happen and make sure no one is expected to endure this kind of situation again. In addition, this is delaying the close of my loan with XXXX by a minimum of 2 weeks which causes me to pay interest that I would NOT be paying had this not happened. As a result of that I believe I should be due a reimbursement for the cost of the interest for the time that is going to accumulate due to the error of this company. Finally, I would like to mention that my interaction with your branch manager, XXXX, in the XXXX XXXX office was so incredibly rude, hostile, accusatory, and unprofessional in every way that I will be filing a formal complaint with the XXXX XXXX XXXX to detail that experience and hopefully inform the owners of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and the public, of the gross unprofessionalism and extremely poor handling of this situation by her, who is in the position of branch manager, and should not be.
