I first reached to Thomas Kerns McKnight around XX/XX/XXXX to enquire about their debt consolidation program. When I first spoke on the phone with them, they explained that after I make payment to them each month, they would pay my creditors and help me pay off my debts. This would result also in an increased credit score. My first payment was made on XX/XX/XXXX. In reality, after being 21 months with them, I ended up canceling the contract on XX/XX/XXXX. They had never paid my creditors, I ended up having XXXX of them take me to XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ). All the other accounts went to collection, or were closed by the creditor, and it was a charge-off. All the balances are now higher, my credit score dropped. I also had to pay a monthly {$49.00} administrative fee ( over 21 months, this amounted to {$1000.00} ) while no service was rendered. This has created a lot of stress and had a very negative emotional impact on me. I still dont know how I am going to resolve the situation with each creditor. I initially trusted them and believed they would help me, I was still current on all my accounts at the time. I only realized after I canceled the contract, that exactly similar complaints had been submitted to the XXXX XXXX XXXX against that firm.
