I graduated in XX/XX/XXXX, In XX/XX/XXXX I requested to have payments decrease due to economic hardship from the original holder of my student loan XXXX XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX I was planning on continuing studies and requested a deferment. I was informed that private loans do not qualify for deferment. At that time I went from XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXX. My original amount was {$21000.00}. I then requested a forbearance due to the amount they wanted {$810.00}. Although I had requested a forbearance I was sent invoices to pay amount due, continuously. I requested another forbearance, however, I never received notification that my loan went from XXXX XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX. At this time I was in my studies and found out that I was sent to collections in fall of XX/XX/XXXX. At this time I had never received written correspondence from XXXX and before long I was put into collections, spring of XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX ( XXXX ). At this time the loan was {$24000.00}. I was in school at that time spoke to someone XXXX XXXX and made arrangements to send {$200.00}, {$200.00} and {$1000.00}. Then, over the years speaking to different customer representatives I was paying {$200.00} per month from XX/XX/XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX then I paid {$100.00} per month until XX/XX/XXXX. From XX/XX/XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX I had been {$150.00} per month except XX/XX/XXXX when I paid {$200.00}, XX/XX/XXXX {$160.00}, and from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX {$170.00}. XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, changed there name to XXXX XXXX, XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. At one time I took them to the Better Business Bureau due to their threatening tactics.
Now, in XX/XX/XXXX, they sold my account to Regional Adjustment Bureau , Inc. who contacted me telling me I owe money and they were attempting to collect this debt. I tried asking the lady information and she refused to give me any particulars, telling me I will receive notice in the mail, but this was in XX/XX/XXXX. I was not home due to a family emergency and I received a call again stating they were Regional Adjustment Bureau attempting to collect a debt for money owed to this XXXX XXXX XXXX. I informed the gentleman I had never went to that school and I had no idea about that school or the loan. All the while I was paying XXXX XXXX for both XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX.
All of my correspondence with first XXXX XXXX XXXX and then XXXX XXXX, they have always told me they could n't do any thing for me regarding my loan that it was up to the holder of the loan XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX I reached out to XXXX only to find out they knew nothing about this loan or had any information about me. I do n't understand if I paid close to {$40000.00}, why was my account now sold to someone else and put through collections when the holder XXXX had no idea about me.
I received a letter from the XXXX XXXX XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX stating my loan was transferred by XXXX XXXX ( who I do not know ) to them with the same terms and conditions, but this transfer is not publicly recorded, however, they have sent me to collections Regional Adjustment Bureau for {$13000.00}. This feels like a fancy scam to get another {$40000.00} out of me which I do not have.
I never new this site existed or I would of request help, assistance or direction in the past to deal with this matter. Please help me I think it is unfair that I have to go through this all over again. There must be something that can be done to these unfair practices of getting money out of hard working citizens.

I attended Georgia XXXX XXXX XXXX ( GA XXXX ) in XXXX, GA from XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX. I have several private student loans and have recently been trying to get my accounts in good standing as I am finally in the position to pay down some of my debts. XX/XX/XXXX I was contacted by a debt collection company, Regional Adjustment Bureau, about a defaulted student loan now owned by XXXX XXXX XXXX. They told me that the loan was a GTAM-MRU loan with an origination date of XXXX XXXX, XXXX. They told me that the balance with all the fees and penalties was {$45000.00}. After months of back and forth, On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I agreed to settle the debt for {$31000.00}. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX I wired the money to the instructed account. I received a paid letter that the debt had been satisfied. Over the next few month I noticed that none of my MRU loans had been changed on my credit report as " closed '' or " settled for less than owed ''. I began to worry and called the collection agency. I was informed that it could take 90 days for this information to change on my credit report. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX I was contact by a different debt collector, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, representing Turnstile Capital Management. They said they were calling to collect on the MRU loan opened at GA XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. They said they would settle the {$26000.00} debt for {$13000.00}. I informed XXXX XXXX that this debt had been paid to a different collection agency on XXXX XXXX, XXXX for much more money than that. I asked them for the loan origination documents. They mailed me the loan origination documents. I also contacted Regional Adjustment and they assured me that the debt had been settled. When I asked for the extreme differences in the amount owned and I was informed that my {$31000.00} payment was for several loans that they had from me. I asked them to specifically indicate which loans they had of mine and where this money had been applied. I have never received those documents. XX/XX/XXXX I was again contacted by XXXX XXXX about this debt. I asked them for a contact number to XXXX XXXX XXXX and they could n't provide XXXX, so I googled them. After calling several numbers I reached a voicemail and was later called by a representative. This representative stated that NO payment had been received from XXXX XXXX and that the account had left their office on XXXX XXXX, XXXX because they had not been able to collect on the payment ; XXXX XXXX was now handling the collection of this debt. After many phones and extreme anger Regional Adjustment Bureau or XXXX XXXX XXXX has not returned my money or called me to discuss this issue. Regional Adjustment was not under contract with XXXX XXXX XXXX to collect this debt on XXXX XXXX, XXXX and therefore the payment MUST be returned. In addition, Regional Adjustment did not accurately report the amount of money I owed and falsely negotiated a settlement that surpassed the debt owed. I am demanding my entire {$3700.00} be returned so I can pay the correct debt collector {$13000.00} and have this mattered settled.

This is a continuation of complaints filed regarding the collection of my alleged student loan from multiple debt collection agencies. It appears that, once a CFPB complaint is filed against XXXX collection agency, XXXX XXXX simply assigns the debt to another collection agency. Prior case nos. include XXXX ; XXXX ; and XXXX.
I have determined that, in the newest set of phone calls, I am being contacted by Regional Adjustment Bureau ( RAB ) who has made call to various third parties asking for my personal information including my maiden names, marital status, work address, personal address, and have revealed that they are attempting to collect a debt and are trying to communicate " an offer '' to me. Interestingly, they have MY phone number and email address where I have requested that all communication be in writing.
Specifically, they have called and requested information from the RECEPTIONIST at my office and have not called ME and left a message at all. The attempt to speak to co-workers and reach me at work is an attempt to embarrass and harass me as they have no actual intent of extending any " offer '' to settle our dispute given my prior demands.
Recently, through 3rd parties, I had been given a name and number ( XXXX XXXX - XXXX ) who was attempting to communicate " an offer '' to me. When I called this generic number, " XXXX XXXX '' was conveniently on vacation but another fast-speaking debt collector demanded identification information. Since random collectors have no historic information about my challenges to the amounts owed, I told them that I would call XXXX XXXX back. Having done so on multiple occasions, I doubt that XXXX XXXX exists.
I would reference and incorporate the prior complaints made to establish the long standing dilatory tactics used to collect this debt rather than providing me with the documentation I had previously requested, including ( but not limited to ) the details of an {$11000.00} payment received on the debt that was not credited to my account, and the explanation of late charges on my account AFTER payments were received which continued to accrue interest, etc etc.
I have communicated my own offer to compromise with XXXX XXXX and its debt collection agency XXXX, without any communications in response.
The contact with 3rd parties who are requesting my personal information must stop. The contact disclosing their attempt to " make me an offer to resolve a debt '' must stop and is in violation of the FDCPA and TCPA

I obtained several student loans to attend school. I defaulted on these loans after graduation. The loans were transferred to Regional Adjustment Bureau , Inc. ( " RAB '' ) who began contacting me in XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, I entered into a loan rehabilitation program with RAB. I made a large down payment in month XXXX and then made XXXX more consecutive on-time payments. On XX/XX/XXXX, I completed the loan rehabilitation and the loans were sold to a creditor. RAB provided no information on the individual loans. Instead, they provided a single amount owed and treated my situation as if I had only XXXX consolidated loan.
After the rehabilitation closed, I was not provided any information by XXXX as to where my loans were going to be transferred. I was contacted by XXXX as my new loan servicer. So I began making payments to XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX and have been on-time ever since.
In XXXX, however, I was contacted by a debt collection agency stating I was in default on XXXX of my loans. After reviewing the Dept. of Education 's FSA site, there was indeed a loan in default. XXXX had no record of ever receiving this loan from RAB. RAB has not returned any of my emails and calls seeking information as to where they sold the loan in question. However, it is clear that RAB failed to properly transfer my loan. I was never notified by RAB or anyone else as to where the loan was transferred to. I never received a single letter or phone call about the loan until XXXX. In short, my loan was 'debt parked. ' As a result of RAB 's failure to transfer the loan properly, failure to provide me with any notice of transfer, and failure to provide an accounting of loan balances, I was given no indication of a pending problem and the loan has incurred immense interest charges on top of the capitalization of interest originally agreed to with RAB in XXXX.
In summary, RAB has greatly harmed me through its conduct. RAB capitalized its high collections fees into my loans, failed to properly transfer XXXX of the loans, failed to notify me of any transfer of the loan at issue, and failed to provide detailed information as to where the loan at issue was transferred. It is not clear what happened to the loan at issue, but it clearly " fell through the cracks '' after RAB 's failure to properly transfer. As a result, interest has accumulated for years without warning.

Three months ago while looking at my credit report, I noticed that there was a collection account for XXXX put there by a company called Reg adjustment bureau. The next morning I called them, they claim to be collected for a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and they did not put that on my credit report since they are a non reporting collection agency. I never heard of that company before. I then reached out to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, they told me they were the issurance company for XXXX XXXX XXXX but they did not place this on my credit report. They said XXXX XXXX XXXX put in a claim and they paid it. Now, I had a mortgage with XXXX XXXX XXXX which they fraudutlently foreclosed on when they told me that I was going to get a loan modification.
Neither XXXX XXXX nor Reg adjustment Bureau is taking responsibility for adding that mark on my credit report. Reg Adjustment Bureau is asking me to pay them XXXX to settle, eventhough they told me that they did not report to XXXX, they are saying until I pay them the item will remain. After pressing the issue with them, they told me that it was XXXX XXXX XXXX who place the item on my credit report. The item does not say XXXX XXXX XXXX anywhere, yet I already have a foreclosure Mark for XXXX XXXX XXXX on my credit report.

On XXXX/XXXX/17 I obtained a copy of my credit report from XXXX and noticed that XXXX has allowed a collection agency named Regional Adjustment Bureau to insert in and duplicate a debt that is already listed on my credit report with the XXXX. SO now the debt is listed twice! Different amounts different dates! What is happening is that the original company ( XXXX XXXX ) account is near its time of deletion from my report, and they have sold my account to a collection agency in which I have " NO CONTRACT WITH '' and now the debt is listed twice! A clear violation of law! Regional Adjustment Bureau has illegally added this debt to my credit report. Every few months another company buys the debt which now its ( Regional Adjustment Bureau ) reinserts it changes the dates and amounts and list it negatively on my report again. Most recently they have not payment history for the last 2 years but have the debt listed as being open in XXXX and a balance of XXXX as of XX/XX/XXXX. This is NOT true and a total lie in an attempt to ruin my credit. I have NEVER received any correspondence from Reg Adj Bureau and want this removed from my XXXX Credit Report asap! This is against the law. They have violated the FCRA Section XXXX ( a ) ( 3 ) and FDCPA Section 807 ( 8 ).

Since XX/XX/XXXX I have contacted XXXX lender and the collection agency Regional Adjustment Bureau ( " RAB INC '' ), several times to get clarification about the loan balance details because they doubled the balance of the student loan from $ XXXX to $ XXXX. When I requested the detail information I found that the original lender may have changed and at the moment I do n't know who is the lender. Currently I am in collections and they have told me I have different balances : first $ XXXX, then $ XXXX and now $ XXXX. When I recently called them XX/XX/XXXX they informed that my balance was {$65000.00} but denied to give me any details ; at the same time I was asking them about affordable options to repay the debt, including a rehabilitation program that they have information about posted on on their website " Regional Adjustment Bureau, Inc '' ; they indicated that I do not qualify for that, but at this point I do n't trust them with the information. I need clarity about the balances and details about interest and fees as well as options to rehabilitate the loan. My impression is that excessive fees and interest are being added to the loan. I need obtain accurate information. Also, I need to know who is the Lender and how to get in contact with them.

On XX/XX/XXXX, I was informed I had an account in collections with Regional Adjustment Bureau since XX/XX/XXXX. I was never made aware of this loan or this debt upon leaving the school. This debt was sold to RAB from XXXX XXXX XXXX. I attended this school in XX/XX/XXXX and was unaware of this loan. I was aware of the XXXX XXXX, but no additional loans. This debt has not appeared on my credit file and when I spoke with XXXX from RAB on XX/XX/XXXXand asked him to verify the address and the phone number they had on file for me, he gave a relatives address in which I have never shared and a phone number which belongs to an old friend, that has never belonged to me. I then requested verification of this debt so I could rectify it and restart with the school, I received something other thanverification and have been receiving 5 or more phone calls a day and voicemails that are 3 minutes long where the representative is not talking but I am able to hear the other agents in the background talkin to other customers, I am able to hear the a rep in the background verifying another customers information, and further requests for verification of this debt have been ignored.

A debt collection company that bought my student loan has been harassing me and my family members. The company is RAB Inc./Regional Adjustment Bureau Inc. , XXXX. XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX. I called to discuss with them that right now, I am unemployed and I can not pay the amount they were asking for in full. I told them when I get on my feet, I would call them to set something up. They had called my wife, my wife 's office, my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law after I told them to only contact me. I also asked them to erase the other numbers, which the agent claimed to do, but a week later, they were calling the others again. They also call from different numbers to try to get us to answer the phone. This has been going on for months and my wife even filed a complaint on the National Do Not Call Registry but it has n't stopped the calls.

I paid them a large chunk of the loan to start a payment process and for about a year they were taking monthly payments via auto deduct. In XXXX they stopped taking the payments and began to call my cell phone, my parents home number and previous employers. They call multiple times a day and when I do talk to someone they are rude and refuse to send me any written documentation, claiming they already have, although I never received any. They have also left messages that someone will show up to my home or office to arrest me. They have given out personal loan information to my parents, even though I am over XXXX years old. They have now begun to call my current work place, even though I have asked them to stop calling me all together.

The Regional Adjustment Bureau, out of XXXX, TN has apparently taken over a debt that is in dispute. In an attempt to collect on this bill, they have called me, my employer, my adult son, and who knows who else. I have asked them to stop. I told the collections agent that I am disputing the debt. He continues to harass and try various methods to collect. He told me that I HAD to talk to him, that I had to DEAL with it. I do n't even know what the charges are supposed to be for. I believe that it is from a XXXX account that I cancelled and XXXX continued to bill. I requested multiple times to have them send an explanation for the debt, so I could verify and document what it was for, but I have yet to receive it. I have disputed it on my credit report. My grandmother died last year and they 're sending debt letters to her house with crazy amounts on them. How they got the new cell phone number of my ex-husband, who I was n't even married to until years after I had graduated from the college for the loans is insane. They 're ridiculous.

I do not feel this is right and I need help with this. I ca n't get in contact with XXXX XXXX to see where they came up with the figure. XXXX services the loan, which they take the payments, but send me this ridiculous paperwork of accruing hundreds to a thousand dollars of interest a month.

XXXX XXXX of the Regional Adjustment Bureau XXXX has left messages with every extension on the directory that she is attempting to contact me to collect a debt. I have no idea who this person or company is or what they are trying to collect. She has been told repeatedly to quit calling this number. She was very rude and kept telling me to give her my birthdate and social security number. That is not going to happen. Please have her cease and desist.

Regional Adjuatment, phone number XXXX out of XXXX Tennessee. This company called my brother in law asking for my sister to talk about a debt I owe. I have never provided any information other than my own on applications for credit or medical billing. I contacted the company to get their information, but they would not give me any information regarding what kind of debt this is because I do not agree to be on a recorded line.

These people call several times a day to my home, my cell and my job. They have been asked to stop calling but keep call despite. They have to left any messages but will tell co-workers that they are a debt collection agency and they too, are being recorded. This has been going on for three weeks. The company name is RAB. They truly harass and will go as far as to speak to others about you in an unpleasant tone.

I paid of these loans several years ago but I am continually contacted by assorted collection agencies about the loans issued while I was at XXXX XXXX XXXX. I pay a lawyer to send a letter with the proof of payment but the collection agencies seem to just sell the debt to another agency and the process repeats itself. It is like being hounded by an old ghost from a very bad time of my life.

The number has repeatedly called asking for information about a family member. The person would not identify themselves or who they worked for when asked. The calls are not regarding any business of my own, but continue. I had to google the phone number just to find the name Regional Adjustment Bureau , Inc. The most recent call was today, XXXX, at XXXX.
