It started with a pre appointment letter in the mail for debt consolidation. When my husband and I called to talk to an agent, we were told that we would not a able to get a debt consolidation loan, even though we were pre-approved, and that our other option was debt negotiation.
We decided to give it a try and signed our contract on XX/XX/2023. On the XXXX of every month, an automatic payment of {$640.00} was withdrawn from my husbands account.
We did not receive any kind of update on the progress of our negotiations from Infinite. In fact, at one point I spoke with one of the credit card companies that were now calling me several times a day, and was told they had not received any kind of letter informing them of future negotiations.
After three months of nothing, we decided to cancel our contract with XXXX XXXX XXXX. I mailed a copy of the cancellation form on XX/XX/2023 and tracking confirmed delivery on XX/XX/2023.
The week of XX/XX/2023 my husband called Infinite to confirm cancellation, since he had not received a cancellation confirmation email from them. He was told that they did not receive the cancellation form, but could cancel our account over the phone.
The week of XX/XX/2023, we have still not received a cancellation confirmation email, so my husband called a second time. He was told that our cancellation was set up but not submitted, and they could once again do it over the phone.
My husband called Infinite again today XX/XX/2023 just to confirm that the cancellation was completed and there were no problems. He was told that the cancellation was complete and that we would be receiving a {$200.00} dollar refund and the remainder of our funds were going towards fees.
We have paid approximately {$1900.00} to XXXX XXXX XXXX over the last three months. They have not done any work towards negotiating our debts. I feel that it is unfair of them to withhold a majority of our money for services that were not rendered.
I can not explain enough just how little they actually did. And to say that we will not be receiving a full refund, because we did not cancel within 30 days of signing our contract. When signing our contract we were not informed of this and were told that we could cancel at ANY time.
Infinite Law Group is scamming people and taking their money! Before this started, I had a XXXX XXXX of XXXX and now it is at a XXXX! None of my accounts had any late payments and now they are ALL delinquent! I was instructed to not make payment and to not answer the calls, and they were doing nothing to resolve the situation!
The fact that they have a clause in the contract that you cant file a class action suit of any kind against infinite law group is all you need to know about this business. They are scammers!

In XXXX I signed up with a debt consolidation service Infinite Law Group. At some point they sold or transferred my account to Derek Williams Law Group. I realized in XXXX that I am paying too much for the services I have received. I have heard nothing from the in 6 months. I decided to cancel the service. I requested a refund of the monies I have paid in {$1800.00}. I got a breakdown of my account finding that none of the debts had been settled and the balance in my account is only {$200.00}. I cancelled and asked for a refund. I have been told that I do not warrant any additional refund. In further investigation, my contract states that I would be charged {$65.00} a month for the 10 months for a {$650.00} retainer fee that they have been collecting {$100.00} for. I have requested a log of what calls and letters have been sent to my creditors but am being told that they have to get approval by management as they usually don't give clients access to that. I want to know what has been done on my account to warranty the {$110.00}, {$49.00} and {$100.00} they have collected monthly out of the {$300.00} I have been paying into the account. It appears to me that they haven't been able to settle any of my accounts and won't be able to for a long time as there are little to no funds in the account to pay any of the debts even if they had been settled. Every time I have called them in the last 2 weeks, all I hear is but your contract ... yet they have been over charging me per my contract. I feel that they have been stealing money from my account. If I had not cancelled with them I would never have known that they were taking the additional {$35.00} a month out of my escrow account. If they are doing it to me how many other people are they doing this to? I was told by them that I was only eligible for a refund in the 1st 30 days. How would I have known in the 1sXXXX 30 days that no work would be done on my behalf. I feel that I have been ripped off by this law firm and have been advised to file a complaint

Buyer beware. I should have read all the horrible reviews about this law firm. BEWARE. I had been paying for a few months now, I believe approximately 6 payments of {$500.00}. So a total of approximately {$3000.00}. Unfortunately I was unable to continue making the payments of the payment plan. Therefore I decided to file for bankruptcy instead. Well I called to cancel the program and expect at least some money back, since nothing was done on the account, other than collect the money from the payment plan. They advised I would only be getting a whopping XXXX XXXX in return. How is this possible that every payment I made went to fee 's and fee 's for doing nothing other than collecting the payment. This law firm makes you believe that this law firm and its program is helpful, when they aren't doing anything but collecting every payment. I understand there are fee 's, but it is outrageous that fee 's were charged for doing nothing. I expected at least half back. Either way, BEWARE of this program, I guarantee it is not right for you, look elsewhere.
