XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Documents JG Wentworth was supposed to follow XXXX XXXX guidelines for Cap and Extend after the 90 day forbearance without prejudice or negative effect on credit. They are falsely stating people were denied when they did not process the loan modifications at all. There Chief Compliance Officer doesn't even know what cap and extend is and told me I had to do a Uniform Borrower Assistance Form. That's just not true. It is the Mortgage Assistance Application for disaster victims that myself and all disaster victims, for which they hold mortgages, need to complete. I had to find it online myself on the XXXX XXXX website. I am attaching it. I submitted it to the company and you can see highlighted at the bottom is a place for them to have inserted their servicer name, website, address and fax number. It is blank because they never gave me the correct modification form. I received online correspondence that I was in default even though I made my XXXX and XXXX payment. JG Wentworth is forcing me and other disaster victims into default. I should be making payments towards my trial period, except they never processed my Cap and Extend properly. JG Wentworths Senior VP of Compliance, XXXX XXXX, from JG Wentworth had no idea what Cap and Extend was when I spoke with him on the phone on XX/XX/XXXX. He also told me that I had to do a UNIFORM BORROWER ASSISTANCE FORM. He attempted to intimidate me by telling me he knew who I was and I was on his radar. I called him back right after our conversation to get his email so I could send him the documents JG Wentworth was required send to us ( since he was clueless ), but he didnt answer and has yet to return my call. I got a response from JG Wentworth on XX/XX/XXXX. Employee # XXXX called me XXXX XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX. She stated, verbally, that my interest and principle were going to go up, so I did not qualify for the cap and extend. That is not a legal reason for denial. She incorrectly stated that a notice was mailed to me about why I was denied. That never happened. We figured out that she was talking about the online notice that I have attached. That notice has no letterhead, no date and no reason for denial. That is illegal. I requested a legal notice be sent, but never received one. For your convenience, I am attaching all of XXXX XXXX violations and breach of contract. I have watermarked my concerns and observations. The proper procedures are accessible on XXXX XXXX website. I spoke with the NACA 's Members ' Assistance Program. The representative could not believe anyone gave XXXX XXXX a mortgage license. He said they were loan sharks and that he thought the reputable mortgage companies were complying with the law. XXXX XXXX has not gotten back to me with a resolution. JG Wentworth does have a license in FL, Texas and CA, all hit by disasters. That really concerns me. I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX. I work hard. I am not a banker or a finance manager, yet I understand the financial tools put in place to protect XX/XX/XXXX hurricane victims and their mortgages better than my mortgage servicer. Their criminal actions are putting disaster victims ' houses, credit, equity, and health in jeopardy. If myself and others are illegally forced to complete the Uniform Modification ( they have already ruined our excellent credit ratings by illegally putting us into default ) our modified mortgage interest rates and payments will go up. They are actually legally supposed to decrease interest rates. JG Wentworth is lying to their customers. That is fraud. They are trying to bully their customers in order to make money off of them. They are ruining credit- that's liable. They are in breach of contract. They never followed the correct procedures to process my loan in the 1st place, committing illegal predatory practices. I am sure there are thousands of us they are doing this to. They have to be doing this to every disaster victim that applied for a Cap and Extend. They certainly didn't process the requests correctly or at all in my case. This is going to disproportionately affect minorities, the poor and the elderly who have already suffered from disasters. JG Wentworth is illegally making money off of victims and their hardships. They are going to put me into foreclosure proceedings this month, even though I have submitted to them the correct form from XXXX XXXX website and have made my XXXX and XXXX payments. I can't believe that on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX, JG Wentworths Senior VP of Compliance put into writing on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau that I was denied a cap and extend because my interest rate would go up. That is just not a reason for denial according to Fannie Mae 's regulations. They need to lower my interest rate to 4 % see XXXX XXXX Modification Interest Rate Exhibit XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX made them give me a Cap and Extend on XX/XX/XXXX. 4 days before XXXX XXXX,. JG Wentworths Senior VP of Compliance, made his fraudulent statement to the Federal Agency. XXXX XXXX XXXX! XXXX This company is incompetent. The Cap and Extend was not even done correctly. Nowhere in the language does it state that ( because of JG Wentworth 's error processing our loan ) that the forbearance period was extended from XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX. I was told verbally by a representative from XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX that they were going to take my XXXX and XXXX payments ( I made to be in compliance with the trial period I was supposed to be on ) and they were going to tack them on to the XXXX and XXXX payment during the 90 day forbearance period. She said that I am delinquent on my XXXX and XXXX payments. I am really tired of trying to get this bank to comply with the law. The two payments that I made should go towards the principal and escrow and we should not be reported delinquent on the XXXX and XXXX payments. I need a document from JG Wentworth clarifying that the forbearance period was extended to cover the period between XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX and that the payments they received during the forbearance will go towards the principal and escrow. The Cap and Extend paperwork that JG Wentworth sent me is missing the modified interest rate of 4 %. The trial payment is using an interest rate of 4.1250. That is not right. XXXX XXXX XXXX & XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX It's also missing important post trial period loan modification terms, such as the length of the loan. I really need a competent mortgage company. Thanks for all your help. I spoke to JG Wentworth employee # XXXX yesterday XX/XX/XXXX. She informed that that JG Wentworth did not have to abide by the XXXX XXXX modifications set forth on the XXXX XXXX website. She told me that JG Wentworth did not have to provide me with any terms of the modification ( the interest rate and the term of the loan ) in the Cap and Extend Modification Document that they issued to me onXX/XX/XXXX. I literally told her to go to the XXXX XXXX website and look at what they needed to provide to disaster victims. She pressured me to accept a modification without any terms on the phone. I will not be a victim of this fraud. They are knowingly misrepresenting the truth, providing false and misleading information, in order to induce me to act to my own detriment. JG Wentworths Senior VP of Compliance, XXXX XXXX, lied in his response to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, providing the Federal agency false representation of a material fact. I have provided you with that documentation. They are criminals, taking advantage of people who have been hit by a natural disaster. This is overt breach of contract, negligence and fraud. They are engaging in criminally deceptive, predatory practices. They have lied to me repeatedly and tried to force me into a choice between foreclosure or signing their bogus documents. They are intentionally obstructing the legal process to obtain a Cap and Extend. We would like to sign our Cap and extend, but we need the correct documents. I sent XXXX XXXX email accepting the Cap and Extend with the 4 % posted standard modification interest rate and 40 year term, but that is not who processes my loan. I am attempting to send it directly through XXXX XXXX for approval because JG Wentworth is incompetent and will not follow the law. The two payments that I made in XXXX and XXXX need to be applied to the principle and the escrow. JG Wentworth needs to correct and recalculate my trial period payments. They need to remove the late fees and the inspection fee. If XXXX XXXXe continues to allow JG Wentworth to do this to people, they are culpable. This is truly causing me pain and suffering and has consumed hundreds of hours of my time. Please sanction and revoke JG Wentworths license and give their victims a competent and trustworthy servicer. We are not the only people they are doing this too. " Soliciting a Borrower for a Cap and Extend Modification for Disaster Relief The servicer must mail the borrower a Streamlined Modification Trial Period Plan Notice Evaluation Notice ( Streamlined Modification Post-Disaster Forbearance Trial Period Plan Notice ) within five days of the servicers decision to offer a Cap and Extend Modification for Disaster Relief if the mortgage loan satisfies the requirements described in Determining Eligibility for a XXXX XXXX Cap and Extend Modification for Disaster Relief and Determining the XXXX XXXX Cap and Extend Modification for Disaster Relief Terms. '' It is supposed to have the terms and interest rates. XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX Paragraph 2 of Evaluation Notice STREAMLINED MODIFICATION POST-DISASTER FORBEARANCE TRIAL PERIOD PLAN NOTICEdocument states Proposed Modification Terms If you successfully complete the Trial Period Plan by making the required payments, you will receive a modification with an interest rate of [ ENTER POSTED STANDARD MODIFICATION INTEREST RATE ] %, which will be fixed for 40 years from the date the modification is effective. If we determine that the unpaid balance of your Mortgage is more than 115 % of the value of your home, you will be eligible to have up to 30 % of your principal balance deferred, and the deferred amount will not be subject to any interest rate charges. Moreover, the deferred principal amount will not be due and payable until the earliest of ( i ) the end of the 40-year term of the modified mortgage, ( ii ) the interest-bearing balance of your loan has been paid off, ( iii ) any sale or transfer of your interest in the property, or ( iv ) a refinance of your mortgage loan. If you do not want to modify your mortgage loan into a 40-year fixed rate loan, and believe that you can afford a monthly payment that is equivalent or almost equivalent to your current monthly principal and interest payment amount and would rather keep some of the existing terms of your loan, please read the first Frequently Asked Question below, and contact us immediately at [ SERVICER PHONE NUMBER ]. XXXX XXXX XXXX I want a competent mortgage Servicer. This has been really stressful. Its the 3rd time this co. has majorly messed up my mortgage. Twice they made duplicate payments to homeowners insurance companies. One time they paid it to two different companies, which was a disaster. I didnt realize for 6 months until they re-amertized the escrow raising my mortgage payment hundreds of dollars. JG Wentworth didnt want to pay me back until I complained to the state of FL. This company is incompetent and just causes me major headache after major headache. Also, their customer service is terrible and the people that run it are rude and unethical. I hope someone address this large scale problem. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX Complaint made against XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Customer Service Department XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX, NJ XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX

I was already working with XXXX XXXX on an FHA and paid for the FHA appraisal when I received a phone call from XXXX at XXXXG Wentworth Home Lending. He explained to me that they offered a 5 % down payment conventional mortgage with lender paid mortgage insurance so I would save money versus going FHA. Obviously removing mortgage insurance sounded great so I had him draw up a loan estimate. I reviewed it and everything looked good. I signed the documents requested and sent him what he needed. He ordered the appraisal and I paid the {$450.00} for the conventional appraisal. At this point I have now paid {$950.00} for appraisals, but was willing to over look that since XXXX was so confident this was the best move for me and very convincing that the monthly savings I would get from not having mortgage insurance would make up for it. After a little bit of time I did not hear anything so at that point I decided to reach out for an update. This was on a Wednesday early XXXX. XXXX informed me that I need not worry, but he was fighting with underwriting. He said he would call me back with an update. 2 days later I get a call and he tells me that I don't need to worry, but they were switching me from XXXX to XXXX and if I didn't hear from him over the weekend everything was fine. Come Monday I have not heard anything so I reach out to him. He tells me that my LTV is too high and we have to go FHA. I have already expressed to him prior to this that I had no interest in goign FHA. He tells me that the only way to go with conventional route that we are trying for is if I get the LTV under 90 %. So I ask him to redo the loan without the sellers assist. This gets my LTV to 86 %. About a day later I get a new loan estimate. At this time he tells me that secondary already approved my LTV and I just need to get a new bank statement to XXXX the LP to show that I have the new amount for closing. I jump through hoops to get the correct cash to close and provide all documentation showing how I got the funds and that they were available in my checking account. After several days I don't hear anything. I checked in with XXXX and he said we are good and on track to close the XX/XX/XXXX as planned. I followed up with him last friday the XXXX and he said there is no new news we are just waiting for the closing disclosure to set up the closing details. I followed up with him yesterday morning ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and he informs me that they are trying to say they can't do the loan because I make too much money, but that wasn't the loan type he submitted me for so it is an error on their part and I need not worry. He will call me back. I have to call him back becasue he doesn't reach out to me and he tells me he is still waiting for a response, this was around XXXX. Well we arrive at XXXX last evening and he calls me to tell me that they can not approve the loan becasue they can not give me pricing with the LTV that high and when they could get pricing the points were to high. They let me know 4 days before close that everything that was promised to me and supposedly already approved was a lie. I have gotten in contact with a new lender this morning and sent them the loan estimate I received on XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX. After she received it she advised me why it failed. It turns out what XXXX was telling me was due to the " lender paid PMI '' they were charging me outrageous points. So basically I was paying the PMI upfront, but it was being disguised as points. The loan he wrote was illegal. From day one he wrote a phony loan that never would have made it through processing. Why in the world would he string me along with a bogus loan? Why didn't anyone contact me sooner to let me know that the loan could never work instead of allowing me to get screwed 4 days before I'm supposed to close. If someone would have let me know we could have tried to work something out where I paid the PMI and dropped the points so I could still be closing this Friday, but instead I was lead to believe a complete lie. I've been completely understanding and flexible with this company. I have done everything that was asked of me very quickly. Just to be played by a loan officer who apparently doesn't know how to write legal loans. All the calls with XXXX can be reviewed to hear the false promises I was given. I also have email communications and the loan estimate showing the garbage loan he tried to write for me. Due to the false sense of closing on the XXXX, I have already made arrangements for utilities to be put in my name. I am purchasing the property I am renting and this puts me in a very awkward situation with my landlord, the seller. I feel as though JG Wentworth Home Lending should be more aware of the practices their loan officers are doing.

From XX/XX/XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX disregarded their duty to promptly credit payments. During this time period, XXXX failed to credit 6 periodic mortgage payments and issued incorrect account statements. Under 12 CFR 1026.36 ( c ) ( 1 ) ( i ), a mortgage servicer must credit a payment to a consumers loan as of the date of receipt. XXXX failed to credit 6 periodic payments for a period up to 1 year and 9 months after the payments were received. In making good faith effort to resolve the account issue, I attempted to contact XXXX by phone between the months of XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. During this period ( ~1 year 2 months ), XXXX did not initiate calls or return calls, made false and confusing statements over the phone, did not offer loss mitigation options, and did not report the correct amount due or balance on account statements. I made many countless attempts to contact XXXX. Some attempts that were thwarted early due to prolonged hold times. Other instances when I reached someone, and they made me believe they were trying to help you, and they had me hold for just a little bit more while they " researched '' the account, or spoke to an underwriter, only to return and to tell me bluntly and sharply that nothing was accomplished, that no promises could be made, and that there was no open investigation. There were multiple instances when I was told by a representative that they could not promise me a call back. There were other instances when I was promised a call back, one representative gave me their word, another scheduled a specific day with a specific time-frame, only in each and every instance to fail to call me back. On XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, an account statement was issued from XXXX finally crediting payments made between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I have included this statement. I have also included the statement from XX/XX/XXXX which shows the previous incorrect balance reported. They issued these statements without calling me or issuing an appropriate notice to me that after 1 year and 2 months of making multiple requests for XXXX to correct their record, that XXXX had finally recovered the payment I made and credited them to the account. After finally crediting the payments, XXXX never acknowledged the account error. XXXX never issued a statement showing the refund of associated late fees and the refund of any additional interest assessed. I am also concerned that XXXX never reversed any erroneous reports to credit bureaus. Additionally, I believe XXXX has not credited 2 additional payments made for XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I have attempted to provide you to this point with a straight forward, unemotional account of what actually occurred in each of my complaints. However, I really hope you understand how truly devastating emotionally and how desperate this situation feels to the consumer. After I was willing to admit what was happening to me, and to come out of my denial and come out of my hiding, I started to read accounts online. The more I read the more I believe that like many others, I was targeted by a corrupt and morally bankrupt corporation. I was targeted for being an at-risk consumer, whom already had burdensome debt, that could be easily pushed to default and stripped of the protections under consumer financial legislation in order to seize my property and collect on insurance. This organization has decided that targeting certain consumers, and defrauding them of their homes is a better business model for success and provides a better return on investment. They have targeted consumers that have just finished trial modification plans. They have targeted consumers that have just modified following bankruptcy. They target at risk borrowers. When this happens to you as a consumer, you can not believe how long it takes and how many times you need to repeat the same story over and over, before people actually start to listen and you begin to gain traction and support. You are the victim, however it takes so long before people around you even understand what is happening to you. XXXX disregarded their duties, they stopped contacting you, they stopped providing accurate statements, they stop crediting payments, and they lie. This is your home. Please read reviews regarding XXXX and see relevant settled caselaw ( XXXX v XXXX XXXX ; XXXX v XXXX XXXX, etc ) and perhaps then we may all begin to see the pattern of abuse. What happened to XXXX XXXX, what happened to XXXX and XXXX XXXX also happened to me.

I applied on a refinance mortgage loan with my existing mortgage bank J.G Wentworth - to eliminate the PMI cost. All the process was done online. My current loan had an escrow statement balance of {$3700.00} the homeowner insurance was paid for the entire year. During the closing process I asked several times if the escrow balance on my existing mortgage loan was going to be returned and when. They told each time that that was going to be returned to me after the current loan was paid off. So I proceed with the closing process, they send the closing disclosure and details. it showed the loan paid off amount of {$370.00}, the new loan amount and all the closing costs detailed. In the new escrow estimates included my 2019 tax payment amount and homeowner insurance reserve for 8 months. So all the numbers make sense, once again I asked to my loan processor and underwriter to confirm that the escrow balance on the old mortgage loan was going to be returned in full, they said. They also asked me to reach out to the customer service department for my existing loan, which I did. I also asked for the pay off amount to confirm the that the numbers shown on the Loan Disclosure, and the numbers matched. On XXXX XXXX we closed. Twenty days after the closing I contacted J.G. Wentworth and asked where was my money for my old escrow account, each time they refused to provide the amount, and they told it will sent after the apply the wire transfer and show the account Paid. After a month and half of waiting, I received a check for {$490.00} dollars. I immediately contacted them, spoke with a few supervisors and each time I was given a different story. One said that they had a note on the account that the customer requested the escrow to be netted to the payoff. I asked for a proof of that, they gave me the run around, once again. I told them that I had copies of all documents I signed, and I was NEVER asked if that was something I wanted to do. what makes me more upset is that I NEVER requested or signed any documents that indicated for my escrow to be netted with the payoff amount. I reminder that if they looked at the account notes, I called several times before the closing to asked on how long would take to get the money for the escrow balance. My other argument was that if they netted the escrow to the payoff amount, why my payoff amount didn't decrease? it was the same amount they provide all along and that this was never disclosed on the loan documents. I also reached out to the loan processor and adjuster ( keep in mind that this is the same mortgage company ). He said that they ( J.G Wentworth ) provided them with the payoff amount. the other said of J.G. Wentworth claims that they ( J.G Wentworth -- New loans ) asked to net the escrow with the payoff amount. During the closing process - No where in the documents indicated that J.G Wentworth " decided '' to net my escrow with the payoff amount without really crediting the {$3700.00} that I had or the {$3200.00} they took from my escrow account. Two weeks later they send me a letter that my account was sold to XXXX XXXX. I have purchased XXXX homes in my lifetime dealt with mortgage lenders but never in my life dealt with such dishonest bank. In addition to lied to a customer, they provided incorrect loan disclosure to keep money that didn't belong to them. if my payoff amount was {$370000.00} and that was what all the statements and documents had. what did they did with my {$3200.00}. they even charged interests for days that the loan was already they received a transfer amount and it took them a month to showed that the loan was " Paid '' I'm sure I'm not the first nor the last person that this dishonest bank stole from. If they do this to 100 or 500 customers with small amounts ( small for them ) they know, nobody will spend $ XXXX or $ XXXX to hire a lawyer. Obviously they do this often to provide false information and gain time to avoid for the customers to cancel the closing process. They took longer to process the paperwork to paid the loan and return what they felt to send out of my escrow of {$3700.00}. If you are thinking of doing business with J.G. Wentworth be careful they are the most dishonest bank out there.

A closing was set for last Friday and I had a tenant ready to move in. She put the utilities in her name and made a special trip to XXXX to move in during the weekend with a load of her things. Well we did not close. I had to produce more documentation for JGW that I did. Closing was supposed to take place yesterday. Yesterday morning I got a message deom JGW that the loan was declined because I had been late on a mortgage payment in the last year. This was with JGW on my home. I have never been late on a mortgage payment in my life so here is the story. Back in XXXX my wife became seriously ill and required XXXX XXXX for an XXXX XXXX. They took out XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The day she was taken to the emergency room I found and mail a pre labeled envelope on my desk to JGW. I mailed it thinking it was our mortgage payment. I then got a statement from JGW that I was due for one payment in XXXX. I sent in an automatic debt form to JGW to have the funds withdrawn from my account every month. Well little did I know that the envolope did not contain a mortgage payment but some insurance information or something she does not remember what. I went about my business taking care of my wife that almost XXXX thinking thaat everything was OK. Then I started getting mail from JGW and the government stating that I was past due. I called JGW and the man I spoke to said that the auto debit was not in force because the loan was past due when the auto debit was submitted. NO ONE AT JGW INFORMED ME THAT THE AUTO DEBIT WAS NOT IN FORCE BECAUSE OF THEIR POLICY. i MADE THE PAYMENTS THAT MINUTE OVER THE PHONE WITH THE FEES BEING WAIVED BECAUSE OF THE CONFUSION. i TOLD THE YOUNG MAN THAT I DID NOT WANT THIS TO GO AGAINST MY CREDIT REPORT. well WHEN jgw pulled the credit report they found a past due mortgage payment. I had told my loan officer at JGW from the start about this situation and also sent to him an explanation in writing. The loan officer said that he would look into it and get back with us. he did not. The seller refused to extent the contract because so many promises had been broken by JGW. Needless to say the contract has expired and now I am out over XXXX dollars because of JGW. I need help. I would like to file a complaint against JGW for their actions on this mortgage loan. No one should have gone through what my wife has gone through to get a mortgage loan with 25 % down payment. The loan officer is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX hi supervisor is XXXX XXXX XXXX my real estate agent is XXXX XXXX XXXX and the title company is XXXX XXXX XXXX officer XXXX XXXX XXXX. The cashiers check for closing has been at the title company since last Thursday. I thought that it is the policy of the FHA to use a common sense approach rule in situations like this. This is not common sense. I need help and I need it fast. I can not let this injustice be tolerated.

Our never ending saga with XXXX XXXX and now JG Wentworth continues. ( After 25 years of being a XXXX XXXX policy holder, they denied a covered flood claim. They denied the claim verbally but never in writing. We went all the way to mediation with no written denial. After many months and much of our time they paid the claim ). Then, XXXX XXXX did not renew us on XXXX/XXXX/15, they did this without any cancellation notice. The local office agent informed us of the cancellation verbally over the phone the week prior to the XXXX of XXXX and we never received a renewal certificate before XXXX/XXXX/15 ( the date of renewal ). That prompted me to contact XXXX XXXX at the Florida Department of Financial Services because it is illegal to cancel without 90 days of notice. I hoped the state would take punitive action against XXXX XXXX. They left us with no time to rectify the situation. The mortgage company who was XXXX mortgage at that time, demanded that we immediately get homeowners insurance and we did not want to go uninsured. Please see attached correspondence from XXXX Mortgage that insurance had expired ( attachment- " Doc- State Farm Insurance Expired '' ). XXXX was notified that XXXX XXXX had n't renewed us. I got insurance through XXXX because we had too. I called and notified XXXX that I was not using XXXX XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/15. I have attached XXXX 's letter of confirmation of that conversation ( doc " confirmation from XXXX Mortgage Confirming that I changed insurance '' ). I told them we had procured insurance with XXXX and not to pay XXXX XXXX " no matter what ''. XXXX XXXX paid the bill to XXXX XXXX XXXX for {$1700.00} on XX/XX/XXXX ( please see attached documentation ). I called the local XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX office and canceled all insurance, including my autos on XXXX/XXXX/15. I emailed XXXX, from Florida Department of Financial Services, while at the airport, leaving for XXXX XXXX, on XXXX/XXXX/15. I explained that we had gotten new insurance. Please see email below. The next month XXXX sold my mortgage to JG Wentworth. XXXX XXXX illegally sent JG Wenthworth a bill ( 3 months after my cancellation ) for {$1900.00}, which for some unknown reason, XXXX XXXX paid on XXXX/XXXX/15. How did they even get a bill???? How did XXXX XXXX know my mortgage company changed? JG Wenthworth did not notify me of the payment. My monthly mortgage payments just went up several months after that when they did an escrow audit. They said the escrow was negative. Of course it was! They did n't question the fact that escrow had just paid the homeowners insurance 3 months prior to XXXX. They did n't check their records. They unreasonably, and unquestioningly paid another policy for homeowners insurance on XXXX/XXXX/15 with my escrow. That was more than 3 months after the original policy renewal date which expired on XXXX/XXXX/15. Then, they charged me. I need help from the state .... again. XXXX XXXX refunded me {$800.00}. I am owed by JG Wentworth {$1000.00} which they refuse to credit back to my account. This is the mortgage company 's error. XXXX XXXX also needs to be held accountable for their illegal practices and they need to refund that money to the mortgage company. XXXX XXXX and JG Wentworth have embezzled from us {$1000.00}. Please see all the documents pertaining to this. Thanks again for your help.

I, XXXX XXXX am located in XXXX California. I originally received collection phone calls and letters from JG Wentworth (JG) (mortgage payment) for non-payment of XXXX and late fee notice. My XXXX payment of XXXX (in full) was submitted on XX/XX/XXXX. I use scheduled bill payment with my bank which disperses cashiers checks to JG Wentworth each and every month automatically. Upon calling my bank, I learned that JG deposited my cashiers check of XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. My bank sent me proof of payment which I submitted to JG on XX/XX/XXXX and received confirmation of incident.#XXXX. I called JG on XX/XX/XXXX 2 different times as well to discuss. They agree after reviewing my proof of payment that the XXXX payment was received and processed but they do not know where it was applied. I called on XX/XX/XXXX and was told that it appeared to be resolved but didn't show "closed" but should receive confirmation email it is closed that night. I did not receive an email or any information regarding the lost payment but rather information on how to change my married name. I responded to the email asking about the lost XXXX payment which was my concern submitted. I called JG on XX/XX/XXXX explaining that I was told the incident was closed/resolved and should have gotten a confirmation email but didn't. The operator told me I was given a new "incident" number XXXX and was told they have given themselves until XX/XX/XXXX to resolve. I called XX/XX/XXXX and the operator (XXXX XXXX) was very sympathetic to the problem stating he understood my frustration and that I have done everything I am supposed to. He also stated that a payment had applied to XXXX but that now XXXX and the late fees/interest from XXXX remain due. The monies applied to XXXX was my XXXX payment submitted. XXXX agreed the original XXXX payment remains lost and he submitted an "urgent/priority" request that he stated should be resolved in 24 to 48 hours. I called JG on XX/XX/XXXX still unresolved. I demanded to talk to a supervisor. In talking with him (XXXX), he stated that he can see the urgent request was submitted by XXXX and they have given them a new date to resolve by XX/XX/XXXX. I asked for the incident number assigned because they just assign new numbers and extend their date to resolve. He refused to give me a new number or deny that their wasn't a new number. This became a very heated conversation on my end. I told him I was going to pursue this further. The same exact thing happened to me last year in XXXX and it took many many calls, frustration and 3 months to resolve. I threatened FTC, your dept and an attorney for this frustration. I told him they are in no hurry to find my payment because they are drawing interest as it sits and I am sure they have many more like me, illegal service. So, here it is the XXXX and my payment has not been found. I did not call yet, I checked my account and found the outstanding amount still due. In the meantime, I'm receiving mortgage payment assistance notices, calls from their collection department due to my "failure to meet obligations". I'm nervous about the mortgage company moving forward with foreclosure proceedings or filing negative reports against my credit. Thank you in advance.

Following an extensive water damage event at my residence ( XX/XX/2018 ), JG Wentworth ( mortgagee ) has been holding Hazard Insurance claim funds in restricted escrow. They have sent me notice that they require me to pay 75 % of upfront repairs from personal funds and that I would only be reimbursed pending an inspection of the property and assessment of repairs. 1 ) I do not have the personal funds to cover 75 % of the damages to the property for an unknown, undisclosed period of time. I have explained this to the mortgagee. 2 ) Since the force-placed hazard insurance has inadequately assessed damages, in order to save costs, I requested that I personally perform certain functions in the repair, and contract Home depot to replace carpeting, and personally make certain other repairs. JG Wentworth denied my request to contract the work personally. They refused to disburse funds. Again requiring me to pay 75 % of repairs upfront from personal funds. I do not have the funds. 3 ) The home had extensive water damage. Since mortgagee is not willing to disburse funds to have the home repaired, and because I personally can not afford to cover 75 % of the expenses up front, I have been forced to live in a home that has been in disrepair for the past 1 year and 4 months. I have personally had to labor to remove wet carpeting from entire home - about 1000 sq ft of carpeting. I have had to pay for garbage removal ( {$1000.00} ). I have removed all saturated drywall and ventilated walls that were impacted. I have labored in order to prevent further damage to the home - something the mortgagee has disregarded. My current living conditions have caused significant personal distress and has impacted my personal health and wellbeing. The mortgagee has now informed they have sold my loan without resolving the issue with the insurance claim and without allowing for the repair of damages to the security for the loan. They have further shut down all communication on the matter and have referred me to the new lender ( loan has yet to transfer ). I am now considering all courses of action in order to have this situation resolved. Since the mortgagee also improperly obtained force-placed Hazard insurance and induced the cancellation of my personal homeowner 's insurance ( by providing false information to previous insurer ), I can not recoup the significant loss to my personal property. I would refer the mortgagee to HUD mortgagee letter 2012-19. Not only has the mortgagee broken federal code regarding improper force-placed insurance practices, but the mortgagee is also applying impractical, unethical, and abusive policies with regard to their insurance claims procedure. I will continue to contact the appropriate parties, and will report the situation to all relevant regulatory agencies until this situation is resolved. I look forward to your adequate response to this complaint. I will be in contact through this channel, and others, in order to seek resolution of this completely unacceptable situation.

My telephone number is alleged to systemically connected, wherein, if I make a inquires online someone will call me instantly before I am able to logout and believe this system may be connected by groups of attorneys/people/hackers and maybe some government agency associations, that may monitoring my telephone that tends to alert to discriminate and hinder especially when connecting financial institutions, as it seems to systemically discriminate which is troubling because the FBI is slow on protecting our constitutional Rights due discrimination. My case in point is below : I received an email from JG Wenthworth inviting me to apply for loan and debt relief online and upon filling out the application online someone called me as I was submitting my application. ( copy attached ). Upon answering my phone, they hung up on me... So I called the number back at ( XXXX ) XXXX as appeared upon the caller ID and received multi hang-up. Then as I was calling back the " XXXX '' number a ( XXXX ) XXXX called during that call and was the parties in complaints herein " JG Wenthworth for clarity in application. That JG indicated they had my request/application and needed to pull a soft credit check to confirm my application and asked for my address and last 4 of Social Security Number. ( Copy of call history ). They stated they have two ( 2 ) programs to offer, one was a loan so that I can pay down my debt and the second ( 2 ) was a debt relief program according to my debt as reported upon the soft report for about {$14000.00} debt. He then indicated he would negotiate payments and close all my accounts with a monthly payment of {$300.00}. I responded that I do not want to close all my accounts and that I select to proceed on the 1st option. Wherein, I was told, I would never get a loan because my credit score is low. I then requested the minimal credit score needed to proceed, so that I could make some credit improvements to move forward. JG Wenthworth responded that take a lot of things inconsideration, such as, work history and income and I could never qualify because of my credit score. I then requested what credit score do I need so that I can move forward and please send me ECOA or FCRA notices so that I could move forward in improving my credit to move forward, and they hung up on me and continued to hang up thereafter. I then called the JG Wenthworth from XXXX for a number from their website and called ( XXXX ) XXXX, and spoken with representative named XXXX with my request for credit score needed and she responded she dont work in that department and worked in the debt recovery/solution dept. She then given me a file number # XXXX upon my request and indicated that I must have spoken with XXXX XXXX and she would have someone call me in the department that could give me the requested information ( credit score needed ), No called me back and I allege bias.

My name is XXXX XXXX XXXX. I filed a complaint against J G Wentworth and they responded with the same old line of XXXX I have tried for at least a month maybe two to get them to release the tapes that they say they have of the conversations between XXXX XXXX and myself about the loan application. On my first call to JGW I told XXXX of the situation that came up between JGW and my wifes loan with the company. She had an intestinal blockage and had to have XXXX XXXX and was in the hospital for about 10 days. In order to pay the mortgage I instituted a XXXX ( i thought ) with JGW to automatically draft my account for the payment. They did not take the payment because they said the payment was past due. I never heard from JGW that this was not in place. I was tending to my wife that almost XXXX of her blockage. I told him about this on the first conversation we had about a loan for a rental house I wanted to acquire in XXXX TX. I am an XXXX XXXX and knew that this situation needed to be vented before I start spending money on the process. He said no problem so we went forward with the loan application which cost me in the end {$25000.00}. At closing day, I got a call from XXXX telling me that the loan was denied because of the past due payment. ON THE MORNING OF THE CLOSING. Just a week before he said that he was 100 % sure that the loan would close the following Monday. Well it did not. I also need the tape or transcript from my conversation with a XXXX XXXX who I talked to and made the payments through to JGW. I told him the story and he even waived the processing fee. The late payment was reported on my credit report even thou I was not on the loan. All of this happened within JGW. My wifes loan on our home is with them. ( the one that was late ) and also the application was to JGW. you would think that they knew what was going on within their own company. I have tried to obtain this information from JGW to file suit for this injustice. They will not tell me anything. Does JGW have the tapes and if so can I get a transcript or the tape so continue my efforts to right a wrong. I have been dealing with XXXX XXXX at JGW. He said that they would do an complete investigation concerning the above situation. All he came back with is that the loan was denied because of the past due payment. My wife and I have never been late on a mortgage payment. We are XXXX and XXXX years old and have owned our own home since we were XXXX. 41 years of paying our obligation to a mortgage company and then I run into JGW. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

My mortgage company started proceedings to change my flood insurance from a low risk zone to a high risk zone without my knowledge. We only learned of this when our insurance company contacted us on XX/XX/XXXX requesting an elevation certificate and other documents to process the change. We were not given any time to research the situation as the mortgage company continually harassed the insurance company to expedite this process. I had to find a surveyor and pay XXXX dollars to obtain the certificate meanwhile frantically trying to get information to counter this process. The whole subdivision is located in zone XXXX and no one could explain why our lot was in zone XXXX. After weeks of research and communication with FEMA, our Congressman, and XXXX County officials we were able to determine the subdivision was raised and filled to meet flood base standards when it was created in XXXX. Unfortunately the flood maps were created in XXXX. We obtained a copy of the revision from FEMA. We tried to give this information to the mortgage company but could not find anyone that was familiar with the situation. I had to contact my insurance company to obtain the name of the person responsible for initiating the change. I called several times and sent the revision letter but never received a reply. Finally after several days I was able to contact this person but was told, yes she received my information but they only go by the maps not revisions. I told her that was unacceptable and she reluctantly agreed to contact her supervisor about the matter. Less than an hour later she contacted me and my insurance agent. We were told the property could stay in zone XXXX for the time being but they might revisit the situation later. At this point the property had already been re-zoned to XXXX so I was required to submit more paperwork to get it back to zone XXXX. This was extremely stressful on me and my husband. We were told our insurance premium could go from XXXX dollars to thousands of dollars. Money we could not afford. We were looking at foreclosure as our only means of escape. Shouldnt companies notify their customers before initiating changes to their mortgage or insurance that protects the mortgage? Shouldnt customers be given adequate time to obtain documentation to prove their rights? If we had been aware of the situation we could have avoided the stress and monetary loss we encountered.

JG Wentworth ( mortgage broker ) offered a 20 year mortgage refinance at 3.49 %. Just prior to closing, I was given a final loan package to review which indicated that I would need to bring {$3000.00} to close with my new loan payments set to begin in XX/XX/XXXX ( I did not wish to " skip '' a month of payments in the new loan ). I also discussed the cash to close amount with the loan officer XXXX XXXX. Finally, I made preparations with my bank to have these funds ready for closing. The loan closing was pushed back a couple of days, for unclear reasons on the lender 's side, and I was scheduled to close on XX/XX/XXXX. At closing, when reviewing the documents, it appeared that the entire prepaid/escrow amounts had changed as did the plan for me to begin payments in XX/XX/XXXX.I moved forward with signing the paperwork ( with knowledge of my right to rescind ) and contacted the XXXX and her supervisor XXXX XXXX . Per the loan documents, the first payment was pushed back to XX/XX/XXXX ( without my notification or approval, resulting in additional interest prepaids being due at closing ), the 6 months of property tax escrows were moved to prepaids and 2 additional months of escrow were added. As a result of these last minute changes being made ( without my review, approval or notification ), the closing amount increased significantly to {$5100.00}. No clear explanation was given despite my speaking with the loan officer and her supervisor. I requested that they honor what had been offered to me. They continued to tell me how it was in my best interest to close the loan given the fact that rates had increased. I was offered {$450.00} off of the closing amount. I asked for them to fix the paperwork to reflect what I had agreed to and allow me to close prior to my rate lock expiration XX/XX/XXXX or to extend the rate lock x 2 weeks to allow time for their paperwork to be corrected. I reached out to the XXXX XXXX ( supervisor ) and requested that I be contacted regarding the plans for my loan. Absolutely no attempt was made by JG Wentworth to remedy this issue prior to loan rate expiration. It also appears that they have blocked my access to the online portal containing all of my documents related to this loan. I was able to download the documents to substantiate my complaint prior to this action being taken.

I own 2 homes. Historically I lived in one and had the other set up as investment property and rented it out. I am being transferred by my employer to within 20 minutes of my other house and have had no tenants since XXXX, so I was refinancing it to change it from investment property to a primary resident. With then the plan to either rent out or sell the home I have been living in. I provided the lender JW Wentworth with all of this information. I provided all of my paperwork to prove eligibility within 2 days. Several days later we were ask again to send in all of the same documents that we had provided. Both my husband and I have credit scores over 800 and income of over 200k. With no negative marks on our credit. This should have been an easy close mortgage. We agreed on a XXXX refinance at 3.75 % with no appraisal required as the home is worth over 600k. This loan was to be 30 years fixed and no points. When the federal reserve lowered the interest rate, we requested to use the option in our original documents and also requested a reduction. After a lot of stalling, the reduced the rate to XXXX %, still with no fees, no points and no appraisals. The loan came back from underwriting that we were fully approved for credit wise and house wise, except that they wanted us in the house before we would close it. As we wanted some cash out to finish a few repairs and to move, this was not really possible. We were told by the loan officer originally that a letter from my explaining the situation, a letter from my employer and proof that the homes were over 200 miles apart would be all that was needed to show that it was going to be a primary residence. All of this was provided in the original packet. We appealed this and sent in proof that we had already change the address on several accounts, at our bank etc. The appeal came back that we needed to list it as a 2nd home and they could approve us. We were told that nothing would change in the terms. After another 4 days. we were called and told that we would now need a full appraisal and the terms would be changes since this was different. This has put us in an awful position as we clearly told them from the beginning that we need this loan closed before XX/XX/31. We will now be starting completely over with a different lender.

XXXX failed to initiate foreclosure and failed to provide any loss mitigation options in the first 6 months following delinquency in violation of 24 CFR 203.355 ( see also MORTGAGEE LETTER 2013-39 ). XXXX disregarded their duty to comply with loss mitigation procedures. According to HUD guidelines, mortgagees must utilize a Loss Mitigation Option or initiate foreclosure within six months of the date of default. XXXX initiated foreclosure XXXX XX/XX/XXXX ( ~1 year, 7 months after default ). XXXX did not abide by the XXXX XXXX XXXX as set forth in MORTGAGEE LETTER XXXX. XXXX deliberately stalled and hampered loss mitigation efforts. Between the months of XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, the mortgagor was the only initiator of communication over the phone. During this 1 year 2 month period, XXXX did not initiate calls or return calls, made false and confusing statements over the phone, did not offer loss mitigation options, and did not report the correct amount due or balance on account statements. XXXX first offered loss mitigation options in their XXXX XX/XX/XXXX notice of intention to foreclose. At this time, a loan workout application was started and loss mitigation options were first considered and later denied. Because XXXX violated 24 CFR 203.355 in multiple ways, loss mitigation efforts made by the borrower were rendered completely hopeless and impossible and allowed the account to fall into arrears to an insurmountable amount. I am filing complaints with these agencies that provide oversight to XXXX to report the multiple violations of the Code of Federal Regulations. I am also trying to raise awareness and sound the alarm to a potential and likely scam by XXXX to target certain at-risk mortgagors, whom may already be experiencing financial difficulties, in order to push them into hopeless situations, to strip them of their protections under the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, and to defraud them. If XXXX had taken the appropriate action at the appropriate time, and followed the law, I would have been able to cure the default. But as with any consumer that already has burdensome debt, because XXXX ignored my many attempts to seek loss mitigation for over a year, they pushed me into an insurmountable financial situation.

After a separation from my husband more than XXXX MONTHS AGO, I, XXXX XXXX XXXX, formally living at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, Alabama, XXXX, then found it necessary to find debt relief. I believed JG Wentworth to be a solid and legitimate company. That belief is completely shattered with the events of the last week. I am seeking the council of Oregon Attorney General XXXX XXXX, who is a dear friend of one of my friends, to file formal fraud in banking charges against JG Wentworth on my behalf. I was told by JG Wentworth associates and have a telephone recording and a text of one stating, that I had entered into a 16 month debt elimination program at {$490.00} per month with the last payment of {$9.00}. That {$9.00} payment was taken by JG Wentworth automatically from my XXXX XXXX account at the beginning of this XXXX. During the 16th month program I have faithfully paid these payments. However, when I recently called to receive exit paperwork, the representative stated that I owe " 3 more months '' beyond the 16 month period! He said that the 16 months " we're just an estimate '' and the last creditor required more money than expected. But that is not how the program works. I was told creditors are contacted at the beginning of the program to confirm what amount they will accept to cancel the debt, and then money is collected and paid out in those pre-determined amounts. Instead of honoring your promise of my being " debt-free in 16 months '', I am being hounded by their partner XXXX XXXX XXXX who is again promising a " graduation from the JG Wentworth debt program '' if I secure a loan from them! This is the very definition of a scam, a " bait and switch. ". The goal post keeps moving! I was told that I needed to pay off one more creditor but just as I am writing this, I am told that an account that I was told was already settled is now due! . I am very upset and frustrated. Several times I checked and rechecked with their representatives about the nature of your program and I was repeatedly told I would be debt free in 16 months. I feel I should warn others on as many social network platforms as I can find because what they are doing to unsuspecting clients is financially dangerous and unethical!

I originally submitted this to the XXXX and the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance. The GA DBF responded that they had no jurisdiction, and recommended that I contact you. The original complaint follows : XX/XX/XXXX I moved to XXXX GA from California, and purchased a home. It was initially financed by XXXX XXXX. For the record, I have made every payment on time, without fail. XX/XX/XXXX J G Wentworth apparently purchased my loan or purchased XXXX XXXX. Since that time, I have had nothing but trouble with Wentworth. I am a XXXX Veteran, and as such, I pay no property tax to XXXX County. I have furnished Wentworth with the appropriate documentation certifying this. Today, for the fifth time, I was on the telephone with Wentworth, trying to get them to understand that I pay no tax. Why, you might ask, was I having this conversation? Once again I got my payment notice, and ascertained that my payment was going up, because of an escrow shortfall. The shortfall was due to the need to withhold for property taxes. After spending 25 minutes on the telephone with Wentworth 's representative, I asked to be transferred to her supervisor. After being on hold again, this time for ten minutes, a person purporting to be a supervisor came on the line. I explained to him the circumstances, and that I could not seem to get through to his representative that as a XXXX veteran, I do not pay taxes. His statement to me was that the law required them to hold in escrow an amount to pay taxes to XXXX County. By his own admission, I have provided them with the appropriate paperwork, and they have also spoken to the Tax Assessor for XXXX County, to the effect that there are no taxes due on my property. Also according to this " supervisor '' if Wentworth does NOT pay anything to the Tax Assessor, any money held in escrow would have to be refunded to me. I asked him why, when he had all the documentation necessary to verify that I do not pay taxes, would they then withhold an extra amount to taxes. His answer was that the law required them to. After chasing this circular argument for several minutes, I asked to speak to HIS supervisor. I was told that he could n't do that. At this point, I was so frustrated that I hung up.

I was lied to by JG Wentworth about debt settlement. They mask it as I was given misinformation about the debt settlement. I was supposed to have debt settled withing4-6 months and be clear in a year while paying down the program through them for 48 months. The reality is that I will be dealing with settlements for the next 3.5 YEARS!!! I would have never signed up for this scam if I knew that up front. Here is the email from them apologizing for " misinformation '' that has me completely ruined financially. Good afternoon, I do apologize for the misinformation you were given. It is 4 to 6 months, to get the first settlement. We were able to settle XXXX XXXX quickly because they dont require a delinquency period. The other ones do. Keep in mind, settlement eligibility varies depending on the creditor, account delinquency, the balances of your Enrolled Accounts and the amount youre contributing into the Program. As we reach settlement with one of your creditors and begin making payments, it is expected with this program to need some time for funds to rebuild in your Dedicated Savings Account to negotiate your next settlement. Our objective is to negotiate mutually agreeable resolutions between you and each of your creditors for the resolution of your unsecured debts. Our two part resolution process consists of ( 1 ) negotiating a lesser amount owed on the debt with a creditor ( 2 ) negotiating a term payment arrangement. Although terms vary per creditor, many will grant us a 12 or 24 month pay off arrangement. So, before we can present an offer, we must ensure that there is enough funds available in your dedicated savings account to cover the outgoing settlement payments owed to a creditor in the time allotted, in addition to our fee collection. If it is ever feasible, additional program deposits are encouraged, but not required. Additional funding in your dedicated savings account will help accelerate new settlements. If you have any additional questions, you can contact Client Services at XXXX. Thanks, XXXX XXXX. Client Services Debt Resolution The J.G. XX/XX/XXXX applied for an online quote and lock in mortgage rate for an FHA 30 year fixed loan with J. G. Wentworth Home Lending, XXXX XXXX, FL with agent XXXX XXXX.. Agent said she needed an authorization to pull my credit to lock in a rate. On XX/XX/XXXX I gave authorization. Loan agent said she locked in 3.625 rate for an FHA loan for me on XX/XX/XXXX for a 60 day lock and said she would send me confirmation of the lock. She asked me to provide all my financial information on their site which I did. She asked me to send in all supporting financial documents which I did. I called numerous times without response asking for the lock in quote she promised. No positive response. I emailed her after about 20 days of not receiving it. No response. The following day I gave her an ultimatum to send the lock in quote she promised and that J.G.Wentworth advertises that you can get the same day, and if I did not receive it I would file complaints. No response the next day but the following day I received a rubber stamped introduction letter from her stating to fill out a computer based questionaire which obviously been tampered with. No matter what figures I submitted in the 6 question format, it stated I did not qualify unless iI had excellent credit and a whopping 70 % down payment. Only under these terms would she be able to get me 3.875 %. Its obvious this was a passive/aggressive way to attempt to humiliate me by fraudulently tampering with the system she submitted to me. These are foolish qualifications which indicate to me she did not lock in the 3.625 as promised. I had already been pre qualified by two other lenders and was seeking this company because they advertised lower rates. She wasted my time, and now that my escrow is getting ready to close, my new lender wants to charge me {$5000.00} in points to bring down the current rate of 3.875 % to 3.625 %. I am accusing J. G.Wentworth of 1. false advertising, 2. false promises, 3.misleading, 4. misrepresentation, 5. improper lending practices, 6. possible mortgage license violations, 7. fraud, 8. personal financial damage, 9. improper use of my personal financial information.

This is a response to what is happening with my previous complaints about JG Wentworth. On XX/XX/XXXX after XXXX hr XXXX min on hold we finally got a JG Wentworth representative. We were told our Cap and Extend was denied and were pressured to do a regular loan modification. We told her we were in a Federal Disaster Area and were eligible for the Cap and Trade that they told us they would process in XXXX We asked for a manager. We were transferred to employee # XXXX and she also told us we were denied for the Cap and Extend, but eligible for a reg. mod. We told her no We were eligible for a cap and extend and were in a Federal Disaster Area. She told me that she had to tell us that. She then looked into my file and said that '' the system does not actually show a denial '' and called it XXXX XXXX going on here. Then, I also told her that there was a charge for an inspection on my bill, which XXXX XXXX was supposed to pay. She agreed and said it was not supposed to be there. She said she would take care of it. She took my regular payment for the month of XXXX ( confirmation # XXXX ) and that she was putting in our request for Cap and Extend again as a priority. A person from the refinance dept. was supposed to call me back in the next 24 hours. NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME. They have sent me several online correspondence since XX/XX/XXXX that they are foreclosing on me, even though I made my XXXX payment like I was supposed to for the Cap and Extend. They are attempting to illegally steal my house and get my {$150000.00} in equity. This is overt FRAUD and misleading tactics. They are taking advantage of hundreds of thousands of people affected by natural disasters in FL, TX and CA by telling them they were denied for Cap and Extend even though they really did n't process it. In a regular loan modification, they can raise our interest rate and this is negatively affecting my credit score which was really high. They are not answering their calls or emails. The Federal Government needs to fine and prosecute XXXX XXXX.

We closed on a house on XX/XX/XXXX, but title agent said we still can file complaint. Initially we licked our rate at 4.6 %. Then I asked about lender credit to cover pmi and some closing costs. We increased interest rate to 5.25-5.5 %. And this would have covered upfront pmi and all closing costs and prepaid items. So, the only item we were responsible for is our down payment ( {$11000.00} ). We paid {$4000.00} as an earnest money, so remaining cash to close amount was {$7500.00}. 3 days prior to closing lender released CD where cash to close amount due was almost {$11000.00}. When we tried to clarify this, lender said this is not final amount and it will be corrected. Couple days later we received another CD reflecting little bit more than {$17000.00} as cash to close and our rate was increased to 5.75 % without our knowledge and consent. That triggered our payment increase by almost {$100.00}. Than a day before we received another CD, with increased rate and little bit more {$12000.00} cash to close amount, I tried to connect with Consultant, supervisor and manager regarding this. The only answer I got is that pmi all of the sudden increased. No one disclosed pmi amout to us. We submitted documents 3 weeks before closing and lender waited until the last moment to disclose this info. I still dont know what is increased pmi amount is. It was never disclosed to us. We spent all day at closing table and did not know what is the final cash to close is. When final CD appeared we noticed that lender increased rate even more without our consent and agreement and final cash to close was {$5000.00} more than discussed. This triggered ur to liquidate our savings. I had expressed my concerns to title company and said that current CD is not accurate and was told that we should sign and I still will be able to file complaint. I strongly believe that rate can not be increased without customers consent. Additionally, full disclosure should be provided in advance. Please help to resolve this problem.

I recently received a letter regarding my mortgage loan, and have contacted XXXX regarding what I believe is erroneous information that had begun approximately XXXX XXXX. The loan itself was under XXXX XXXX XXXX at the time, and their servicing company XXXX XXXX XXXX up several loans escrow accounts, causing over payments, and then sometime during XXXX bought out by JG Wentworth. In the transition, my on line account was blocked, and I was told to make payment over the phone, and in the transition requested several times for a complete reconciliation and accounting so I could see/determine the correct payment. I made four large payments to bring the account back up to current, a result of the transition of XXXX XXXX XXXX servicing companies and XXXX along with a XXXX XXXX XXXX from JG Wentworth and a former employee of XXXX assured me not to worry and that he 'd take care of " all the stuff in the background '', and get my loan corrected and back on line. To date this has not been done, and I 've called several times requesting not only information, but an audit accounting of the loan for the past two plus years. Recently I contacted a XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX and requested the same information, and she indicated she would try to help. That was three weeks ago, and still no resolution. I am submitting this complaint regarding my issues with both XXXX XXXX and JG Wentworth, and ask you to have the loan investigated for possible mortgage fraud by the loan servicing companies, XXXX XXXX XXXX, as they have failed to provide me with a full accounting of the past three years from when the loan servicing company made errors to accounts ( including mine ), payment application, and resolution of the account. Please feel free to contact me regarding any information, or if you would have another way that I could submit a complaint through the Department of Veterans Affairs, I 'd be more than happy to do this too. My mortgage was due on XXXX XXXX with a grace period until XXXX XXXX. Given the frantic preparations trying to get my family to XXXX, I did not have time to pay my bills before I left, but I knew I had the grace period and so was okay. When I got to XXXX I attempted to pay the mortgage via the on line payment system as I do every month. I could not log in, and when I went to reset my password, the password never reset and I was never permitted to log in. It appeared that the password was reset but it never worked. I attempted to locate a number to call to pay by phone, but there was no number to pay by phone calling out of the country. The number that did exist could not be dialed internationally. There was also not a number for me to call from out of the country to speak with a customer service representative. At that point my option was to ( 1 ) mail my payment from XXXX ( 2 ) mail the payment from my bank using on-line bill pay or ( 3 ) do neither and resolve the matter when I returned to the States. I opted to do number XXXX because I knew that if I mailed my payments from bill pay or from XXXX, the payment would arrive AFTER my return to the States when the matter would have already been resolved. Immediately upon returning to the U.S., I called WestStar to inform them of the problem and make my payment. I ALWAYS pay my mortgage on time. WestStar said it was my fault the payment was late and would be charging me a late fee. I protested on the grounds that the problem is their system. If they provide a means for customers to make their payments, those means should work and if they do not work, I should not be penalized. It turns out that a glitch in their website payment system does not allow for the passwords to be reset as they should and the customer service rep had to walk me through a process to make the password reset work. WestStar persists in charging me this late fee, which I do n't feel I should have to pay.

I applied for a new mortgage with JG Wentworth on XX/XX/18. XXXX XXXX NMLS # XXXX My closing date was supposed to be XX/XX/18 more than 60 days from the origination date. The company used the wrong loan type ( refi vs. new ) to gather information about title processing fees which put my loan outside of the acceptable range so my final loan approval which has been in process for many weeks has been delayed by an additional 3 days. I am selling a property as well as purchasing so coordinating services, utilities, movers, walk through, etc must all be changed now. My moving company is charging me {$500.00} per day to hold my belongings an additional two nights. I have no where to live for two days. I have to reschedule multiple services and several people who were coming to help must also change their plans. I am fully aware that things can go wrong when mortgage originators are involved but it has been established that JG Wentworth caused this problem because they mostly handle re-fis not original mortgages. They didnt disclose that to me when they sought my business. As this unfolded, XXXX boss XXXX called me and chastised me for my attorney speaking harshly to XXXX. He told me he has call recordings of the conversation. How I am responsible for something my attorney said is beyond me. The final result is that XXXX agreed to eat the {$300.00} mistake that XXXX made but that doesnt remedy the additional {$1000.00} that I will have to pay for the movers to hold my belongings for two more days nor the extreme complications this causes multiple parties. XXXX tried to pressure me into using their title company because he said the one the seller chose was too expensive. I refused to do that. That alone seems unethical if not illegal. They also tried to increase the mortgage rate by a quarter percent due to their error but my attorney was able to stop that from happening once they admitted it was their fault.

Over the past couple of years, I have had an increase in health insurance premiums, prescription medication, real estate taxes, groceries and utilities. In XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted XXXX XXXX a housing counseling agency to see if I could possibly get help in reducing my mortgage payments. I have been working with XXXX XXXX, Housing Counselor. This agency is part of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development ( HUD ). All documents were submitted to J.G. Wentworth through XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter in XX/XX/XXXXstating that my request for a Standard Loan Modification was denied because I do not have sufficient income that would allow J.G. Wentworth to offer a modification. My total monthly income is {$2800.00} ( retirement & Social Security ) and my mortgage is $ XXXX monthly. My total expenses are {$3500.00} monthly. Any increase outside of what I have budgeted shortens any funds that I would need for my necessities. In XX/XX/XXXX, we submitted an appeal and have yet to hear if it has been denied or approved. My housing counselor has spoken to J.G. Wentworth on several occasions and each time she has run into a brick wall. I have also spoken with J.G. Wentworth and keep getting the run around. They will not provide the underwriters information and they denied the modification. I am current on my mortgage payments, but I dont know how long thats going to last. This is why I am trying to get a jump on my financial situation before its too late. I want to stay in my home. I do have the file that was submitted to J.G. Wentworth. I do hope that we can work together to get a reduced mortgage rate so that I may be able to continue to making my mortgage payments. If additional information is needed I can be contacted via email or @ XXXX. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

I signed up for Debt Settlement services wit JG Wentworth. I was promised that I was pre-qualified for a program that would be guaranteed to settle all of my debts included in the program, and once all debts had been settled I was guaranteed to receive a loan to pay the outstanding balances and repair my credit. I signed up for the program and have now for more than 6 months been making my payments as planned. However, JG Wentworth made a mistake and can not qualify me for the previously promised loan because my total debts exceeded the limits of the program criteria. My credit has been significantly impacted upon this false promise from JG Wentworth and they are unwilling to correct their mistake. I have contacted them requesting several options to resolve this situation and each time JG Wentworth simply states that I have to put more money into the program and/or wait more time to reduce the debts to the loan approval range. However, not only will this take multiple years, JG Wentworth is no longer pursuing any debt resolutions for the outstanding balances with creditors because there are no funds left with which to reach an agreement. All of the program payment funds made by me have been tied into resolving only 2 accounts. I am now in collections with multiple collections agencies and JG Wentworth is doing nothing but charging fees from my program payment while doing no work to make good on their promises. JG Wentworth confirmed the person responsible for the false promises made has been terminated and Compliance reviewed the call and confirmed their were false promises made

In XX/XX/2018 I was approved for a mortgage with JGWentworth. On XX/XX/XXXX I made an offer on a property and the seller accepted. I have paid {$500.00} for home inspection, {$550.00} for appraisal and {$500.00} for deposit. On XX/XX/XXXX we were suppose to go to settlement but we didnt. I had to sign an extension addendum for XX/XX/XXXX which settlement still didnt happen. I was told I needed to pay down 4 credit cards in order to get approved for the XXXX grant. I then paid {$1000.00} total for the 4 credit cards. Another extension was signed for XX/XX/XXXX which didnt happen because they ( JGWentworth ) told me I had to pay off my car note {$380.00} in order to go to settlement. I then found out that we wasnt going yet again because I was short {$1500.00} I needed to close. A new extension was signed for XX/XX/XXXX and still didnt go to settlement. I spoke to my lender to find out how much exactly did I need. Mr XXXX told me I needed {$6100.00}, he asked how much did I have and I replied {$5500.00}. When then had the seller sign another extension for XX/XX/XXXX. I have the {$6100.00} I need to close and now its another problem. They wouldnt accept the {$3000.00} gift from a friend in order for me to close and the seller had her agent email me a termination of the contract so that she can put her house back on the market. Due to the negligence of JGWentworth I am out of my money. I have done everything asked of me to get this done. Everything I have paid in order to get this property. Its not fair my money was spent on a property that I dont have.

I applied to refinance my home using my VA entitlements with JG Wentworth ( and XXXX XXXX XXXX as the loan officer ) and believe they were deceptive in their practices. I was initially told my interest rate would be 4.25, so I moved forward with the process. I later learned that they would have to raise the interest rate to 4.375. I complained and noted that I had another lender that would process the refi at 4.25 at which point XXXX said they would match if I got them written proof, i.e. the loan estimate from the other lender. Which I did provide. XXXX did match the rate but he raised the loan organization fees without consulting or notifying me. I decided to let them move forward as they reduced some of their other fees making it less expensive than the lender they matched. Then 2 days before I was to close on the refinance, I received a call from XXXX telling me there was a mistake and that I had to have 210 days aging in my current loan ( I had made 6 payments which is what I was told was the new VA requirement to do the refi ) and I would be unable to close on the refi until XXXX At which point XXXX sent out a new disclosure which again without my knowledge or consent included doubling the lender fees. Lastly, to make matters even worse not once, but twice they requested an urgent pay off request of my current mortgage which added fees to my account that I had to pay. I never authorized those transactions nor should I be responsible for those fees that they incurred. Due to these deceptive practices I move my refinance to another lender.

XX/XX/2018 To : CFPB To Whom it May Concern, I am very upset at how my mortgage process was handled by XXXX. XXXX.Manager XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, VA XXXX used a tactic called BAIT AND SWITCH on me. When I started my mortgage I was locked in at XXXX % with point. When I finished 4 months later my interest rate was XXXX XXXX with XXXX points. I needed two extensions from HUD which cost me an additional {$700.00}. My mortgage process should never have taken 4 months. The conventional mortgage was changed to a Construction/ Home Improvement Mortgage. The time extension that XXXX. XXXX caused was based on their report stating that the living room/ dining room/ kitchen floor, basically the whole house floors were in need of repair, the total cost being {$7400.00}. The floor did not need to be repaired. In doing my research the previous owner had 4 dogs ( XXXX ) what happened was these dogs XXXX all over the floor which caused an odor. I repaired by encapsulating the oder area with XXXX and XXXX paint. My total cost was {$200.00}. The reports writer never mentions dog XXXX in any report and that was the problem all along. Both XXXX. XXXX and manager XXXX XXXX, are both accountable because of their incompetence extended the mortgage so that I would pay the higher interest rate and additional fees. That is the BAIT AND SWITCH. When looking at the documents I submitted, you will see why they misrepresented themselves. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Respectively yours, XXXX XXXX

I took out a mortgage with J.G. Wentworth. I wont get int the numerous issues I had getting them to provide timely information, but on the day of signing, they provided me documentation with incorrect amount listed to go into escrow. The amount listed was short {$300.00}. They drew up new documents and I signed them one week later. Three weeks later, I receive my statement for my first payment. I reviewed the numbers and the amounts are broken out accurately on statement. I send them the payment the next day. The following day I receive notice that my account has been sold to XXXX XXXX. I called J.G. Wentworth and they assured me the payment sent to them would be forwarded to XXXX. It was. However, the information sent to XXXX did not include the updated escrow amounts and thus, just over {$300.00} was not included in the escrow payment, but rather applied to the principal. That is twice that J.G. Wentworth has mad errors in regards to my mortgage that if I had not found could have left me in serious financial trouble down the road. This is simply unacceptable. Please note, I have contacted XXXX and have straitened this issue out with them. XXXX was very helpful in resolving this issue. However, the next customer of J.G. Wentworth may not be so fortunate. One point of interest to me is that J.G. Wentworth & XXXX have the same mailing address for their loan payments. My guess is they are one and the same company, or at least subsidiaries or otherwise connected. Thank you for your time.

Approximately 8 weeks ago I contacted JG Wentworth to assist me in obtaining a portion of an annuity. XXXX XXXX was assisting me but when I would ask him how much this was going to cost me he would never give me straight answer and said we would discuss it later. We got so far as having 3 way call with XXXX did he finally tell me they were charging me {$71000.00} to help me get $ XXXX but this was after he had them change beneficiary to JG Wentworth. They received my XXXX & XXXX payments in the amount of {$500.00} each and I have called numerous times begging them to refund my {$1000.00}. I received 1 phone call from XXXX XXXX over 2 weeks ago & swore she would get to bottom of this matter but now she is avoiding me. This company has the nerve to charge me $ XXXX which is just like usury for lack of better word to con people out of their money. It is ludicrous to charge $ XXXX out of my $ XXXX annuity. Ultimately it was very easy for me to obtain funds and it only cost me {$1500.00}. I dont what other agency to contact to stop them from taking advantage of other folks who obviously need their money due to our countrys economy, inflation, price of gas etc. I will not stop until I receive my money back and someone who should be watchdog for our citizens to prevent this from happening to people who dont understand how their fraud works.

Currently, I am in a short sale process. I have a been trying to get a hold of my 2nd mortgage lender to proceed with the short sale. However, they are telling me, my real estate agent and the title company that they do n't have any information about my loan. Last year I started a short sale process, which I received the enclosed approval letter from the 2nd lender-Weststar Mortgage. However, do to the buyers and my previous real estate agent we were not able to go to closing. I relisted the property for sale earlier this year and we continued a new short sale process. Now, that we need the 2nd approval, we can not find the servicer or lender that has the 2nd loan. We have tried to reach to Weststar Mortgage ( who had the mortgage last year ) several times. They are not helping us and are being very rude about it. I have pulled my credit and no 2nd mortgage is reported. I went to XXXX and the MIN # is not pulling up anything. But, I am not able to sale because there is a 2nd mortgage recorded in XXXX XXXX and it 's showing up on the title search. No release has been issued for this loan. So, I am currently stuck with the and I 'm not able to sale. I am reaching out to CFBP for help. As I do n't know what else to do.

I have been trying to work with XXXX. XXXX since XX/XX/2018 to get the MI off my house. They have passed me around several times and nothing has happened ; no help, no responses and no action. I was originally told by a manager that a 3rd party would call me for new appraisal and nothing, the number I was calling no longer worked for that manager. I then requested for my MI to be removed through their email process months ago as well. Generic response with no help, I emailed them back with more information and no response. For the last 6 weeks I have been trying to work with Al XXXX XXXX. for home lending and nothing has happened. I have received 1 email saying he is working on it at week 2. I have called, left messages and emailed with again no responses. My loan has no waiting period and the MI can be removed. This has now cost me more than the cost of a new appraisal which I was told at first my upgrades would prove enough and wouldn't need, then later was told I would need. I agreed and nothing has happened still. This company in my experience is a joke and has done nothing to service my loan. I have phone records and emails to show my interest in the MI being removed and almost nothing in return.

JG Wentworth proved to be incompetent and unresponsive in getting their primary task completed-closing a home loan on time. I began the application process over two months before we needed to close on a new house ( I had to wait to lock my rate-two months before closing. ) They were not able to deliver the paper work to the closing attorney on time. To rub salt in our wounds on closing day the closing attorney tried over and over to get in touch with our loan processor and no one returned their call-all day. We were supposed to close our loan at XXXX XXXX on Friday and when all parties arrived at the closing attorneys office they had not heard one word from JG Wentworth concerning our closing package. Needless to say the people we were purchasing the house from were furious and we were out on the street for three days ( it was Friday. ) We incurred over {$3800.00} in expenses and loss of wages, not to mention the embarrassment and anxiety they caused us. Everything we owned was in a locked house we did not own. JG Wentworth offered us a remediation gesture that does not begin to cover the loss we incurred as a result of their utter ineptitude and lack of corporate and personal professionalism.

Complaint against JG Wentworth Mortage/Home Lending On XX/XX/19, I made a payment to my Mortage company that was significantly larger that the amount due. My expectation was that this would follow the normal process, and the excess would be applied to principal. Instead, JGW took the excess, and considered it a forward payment on XX/XX/XXXX. Upon seeing the mistake on their website, I contacted them, and was assured that the mistake would be corrected. It was not, and 4 more contacts were made in XX/XX/XXXX, and in each instance, I was assured that the problem would be corrected. On XX/XX/19, I was told that their computer system was incapable of making this change, and that they could not correct the error. Although this may seem like a minor problem, please note that I made several principle payments in XX/XX/XXXX, and my monthly interest cost has dropped from {$1300.00} to {$900.00}, so XXXX is awarding themselves {$400.00} for their incompetence. Their customer service in this situation has also been horrible, they make promises to call me back with resolutions, and never do, and when I submitted an e-mail about the situation, they failed to provide a suitable response.

I applied with jg wentworth for a mortgage. I did the loan application and sent in all of my information including my eligibility certification from va. I also had to pay {$450.00} for a va inspection on the house. I received an email saying that i was approved for the loan for the house. A week before closing the loan officer ask for additional information i sent to them. After i sent this information i didn't here from them any more until i called the area manager and explain to him that i was four days away from closing no one heard anything else from them. He managed to get in contact with the supervisor. On monday XX/XX/XXXX i was still waiting to here from them. I finally heard from them and about XXXX i was told that they could not use one of my income. They knew all of my income information in XXXX when i did the loan application and for them to wait until 18 hours before i closed on my house and denie the loan was unprofessional and not right. I had to go and cancel a refrigerator and also look for somewhere else to live because i had giving up my rental home to move to this location. The loan officer was very unprofessional with my realtor and the builder realtor.

This is now my second complaint with the CFPB and I am shocked that no one cares to try to fix my problem. I thought the CFPB had some power to protect the consumer. I am very disappointed in this process. I am have in contact with J.G. WENTWORTH home leading since XX/XX/2018 and have been ignored, disrespected and made to feel worthless. J.G. WENTWORTH screwed up at closing and I am now forced to pay an additional XXXX a year and they said it was bc of taxes. That's a lie. Taxes are not allowed to go up that much in a year California law article XIIIA of the state constituon commonly referred to as prop 13. They are not helpful and condescending. I am tired of calling 100 times and not getting anywhere. I have now found another person who J.G. WENTWORTH also XXXX up with and forced them to change an already signed CD bc they left off PMI and threatened not to fund. These people are scum bags. I have contacted by 3 different dispute resolution employees, 3 managers and VP of the entire department to have almost zero movement. The VP was condescending and flat out lied to me on recording and in writing. I WANT RESOLUTION, NOW!! I AM TIRED OF THIS XXXX!!

For probably the 4th time in 6 years, my mortgage has been sold to yet another servicing company. While I understand the loan is a financial investment for these companies, when they sell the mortgage, it creates work for me ( setting up new online accounts, setting up online payments, etc .... ). Yet the companies seem to reap the profit and I'm stuck with work. While I understand cfpb can't do anything about this, you can make sure these companies follow the rules when they continue to inconvenience their customers. My current mortgage company ( 3rd one ) is XXXX XXXX. They sent me a notice dated XXXX XXXX ( which I didn't receive until XXXX XXXX ) that my mortgage was sold to XXXX XXXX XXXX effective XXXX XXXX. They gave me well less than 30 days notice. I have not received a notice from XXXX XXXX yet and its only 10 days before the transfer is to take place. I'm pretty sure they are required to provide notice at a minimum 15 days before. While I get this is a minor issue, they are not following the law and quite frankly, I'm tired of these companies selling my loan, making money and inconveniencing me while they are doing it.

I applied for a modification in XXXX of 2015, I was told by my previous lender that the modification was approved. I was initially told my loan payments would go down to the {$1200.00} range, and then I was given documents that stated my payments were {$1600.00}. I was told to make my initial payment on XXXX/XXXX/2015 to the new servicer, JG Wentworth. I made that payment, as well as subsequent payments. My current lender, JG Wentworth is taking my payments, but they are not acknowledging the payments or applying them to my loan. They will not give me any mortgage interest or apply any payments. I have called multiple times and they are stating my information is not being updated in their system and there is no one that I can speak to because underwriting handles it and underwriting does not speak with people. They have also stated that I should still continue to make my payments of {$1600.00}, even though they are not being applied to my account, and even though J. G. Wentworth is sending me statements that say that my payment amount is {$1400.00}.

On the day before we locked in a mortgage rate I was sent a list of rates and applicable charges/credits. On that day the rate that we preferred was 4.125 % with a 0.25 % XXXX {$530.00} XXXX credit back to us. This was also the one recommended by the mortgage company. Due to the closing date we had to wait an additional day to request the 30-day lock. The following morning I contacted the person at the mortgage company I had been working with and told him we would go with the 4.125 % rate. The paperwork I received the following day showed a {$530.00} CHARGE rather than a credit. When I challenged this I was told, " I thought you knew that interest rates went up and that 's why it 's now a charge. '' Even if I knew that interest rates had gone up, how could I be expected to know how it would affect the points on the loan? And it should have been explicitly disclosed to me rather than my having to notice that a credit had turned into a charge. I believe this was done intentionally with the hope that I would not notice.

On XX/XX/XXXX, I mailed my mortgage payment to JG Wentworth in XXXX, NJ as I have done the last 4 years without any problems. Since I am less than 200 miles from XXXX, NJ, it only takes a couple of days for them to receive it. Last month, it took 21 days for them to post my payment. Although they waived the late fee, I still paid an additional 21 days worth of interest because they didn't post my payment timely. To stop any adverse action from happening, on XX/XX/XXXX, I mailed another payment. As of today, XX/XX/XXXX, that payment hasn't been posted. I repeatedly called them and checked online for the prior payment. They claim they couldn't find out. They were supposed to be doing a desk check for my payment. It wasn't until I called them on XX/XX/XXXX and threatened to call the United States Postal Service Investigating Unit and the Maryland State Attorney General 's Office on them that they miraculously find my payment. I know JG Wentworth is in bankruptcy ; however, I find their behavior to be unscrupulous.

I have two mortgages with JG Wentworth. I need copies of my most recent statements for each mortgage for a refinance I am working on for my primary residence. I spent the better part of the day XX/XX/18 simply trying to get someone on the telephone. I probably spent about an hour trying to research the correct phone number after trying many and being told I was in the wrong department, another hour on hold, and a final hour arguing with various JG Wentworth representatives who were unable to assist me. At one point I had a representative assure me after asking many security questions and confirming my email address that she would email me my statements, but she never did. I have checked all spam and junk folders. I still do not have my most recent statements and I have no idea how to resolve this situation. My request is for the most basic service with respect to my loans - if JG Wentworth is unable to provide such service, they should not be in the lending business.

My refinance with JG Wentworth Lending was canceled on XX/XX/19. The cancellation letter signed by me and my wife was sent out to XXXX XXXX within the time window. Please see the attachment. The escrow company has confirmed it and returned me the whole refinance service fee. So the loan with JG lending should be closed. In other words, the loan was never completed. But I received the mortgage bill from JG days ago. It's so frustrating? So apparently, the cancellation order did not reach to JG Wentworth Lending from XXXX XXXX or the loan officer from JG Lending who worked with me made a mistake and did not cancel my loan. I called both escrow company XXXX and JG lending many, many times. So far, JG Lending is still saying my loan is open and keeps sending mortgage bill to me. It will damage my credit score if they don't correct this error in time.

When trying to pay my mortgage on line, JG Wentworth 's website says that " this feature is currently unavailable. '' It 's been like that for 3 days. When I try to call customer service to pay my mortgage on the phone or actually speak with someone, the wait lines are so long I do n't get through. When I use their 24 hour automated pay by phone service, after I enter in all my loan information, the system does not give me the opportunity to pay over the phone but automatically transfers me to a phone number where an automated voice tells me the office is closed. Today is XX/XX/XXXX, and if my mortgage is n't paid by the 15th, they charge me a fee. And my credit score may be damaged? I read an article yesterday that j.G. Wentworth has filed bankruptcy and I 'd like to know if this is all related and how I can pay my mortgage. Can you help?

J G Wentworth missed my closing date by 5 days. I was finally informed that Wentworth did not service land lease properties, even though they knew from the beginning as stated on the purchase agreement, that the condo was on corporate leased land. That was the ONLY reason they gave. Escrow by this time was in it's fourth week, fees paid, deposits, inspectors, title and realtors, spending unbelievable amounts of time on the process. Leased land properties are very common in southern California and Wentworth cost everyone concerned thousands of dollars in time and money. This was through XXXX XXXX, executive membership program. Incidentally, recommended by Wentworth broker.

I was told if I paid {$500.00} and installed smoke alarms and such totaling another {$250.00} that I could obtain an FHA loan on my property since I had been current in my payments. Then I was told that because my property was listed as a condominium on the county recorders office that the loan was being denied after submitting paperwork and paying fees. Then it was represented to me that I could obtain a conventional loan even though I was recently dishcarged from chapter XXXX bankruptcy in XX/XX/2018. I think more research should have been done on JG Wentworth 's part before taking my {$500.00} which I am sure is nothing to them but is quite a lot of money to me.

VA mortgage through JG Wentworth Home Lending LLC. My initial closing was delayed by one week because JG Wentworth required a form which upon discussing with VA XXXX in XXXX, the cleared termite report was sufficient.
