Back in XXXX, i was in the market for XXXX in XXXX XXXX CA and opened an acct XXXX but do to relocation to AZ I decided againat the service. The now closed Dental place received a check and insured me it would take 30-60days to return the monies to XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX rep. called me about setting up payment i explained the fraudulent situation and was told I still had to make payments on credit trade line until the check was received even though I never went through with the service offered so i did. I attempted repeatedly to reach out to XXXX XXXX about the check being returned as promised to XXXX and was informed they longer did business with XXXX and all further communications had to go through them but the check was sent back in XX/XX/XXXX. The XXXX rep. never confirmed the receipt and I had no discourse to rectify the fraud and stolen money. Fast fwd XXXX sold the acct to Debt collector Hallstrom Law Firm PLLC and I again explained it was fraudulent by false inducement of an unknown third party via email to XXXX XXXX XXXX himself who made me feel like there wasn't any alternative other than to pay the debt owed according to settlement agreement and threatened lawsuit if I didn't. In compliance and fear I've been making payments and they still reported negative non payment on my acct. I hired the XXXX XXXX XXXX to open investigation into the acct. and fix my credit. As a result, a dated letter of XX/XX/XXXX, from XXXX XXXX XXXX sent me stating that Identity Theft was confirmed and that related acct to XXXX would be removed from credit report in 30 to 60 days so I reached out to XXXX XXXX via email XX/XX/XXXX and scanned him the letter asking for complete release and closure of the matter including monies paid and he told me the letter does not prove anything and he does not see any reason to close this acct even though its fraudulent. Moreover, I reported the fraud to XXXX as it relates to the Hallstrom Law Firm and XXXX XXXX. This is not fair practice and I feel like I've been bullied with no recourse for something that's not my fault nor debt.

On XX/XX/XXXX I filed a dispute with XXXX to properly report payments made to The XXXX XXXX XXXX. I provided receipts for all of the payments I made each month. I also contacted the law firm the same day I filed the dispute to request that they contact the credit bureaus and accurately report the original amount I owed which was {$6900.00} from a car loan debt I co-signed for that my daughter defaulted on. I requested that payments I had been making would be reflected on the report which they said they would take care of. I have been paying the creditor {$200.00} a month since XX/XX/XXXX and this was not reflected in the law firm 's nor XXXX 's reporting of the debt. On XX/XX/XXXX I was notified by XXXX the dispute had been resolved. A report was generated on XX/XX/XXXX claiming the information reported was verified with the creditor and updated. However, the balance being reflected as of today is still inaccurate, showing a total owed of {$11000.00} which is a far cry from {$6900.00} and the amount I agreed to repay. Also, the {$200.00} payments I have made still aren't reported as paid each month. In fact it shows a recent payment of {$200.00} but the balance hasn't been reduced by the amount I've paid so far as it still shows the original balance owed which is inaccurate. Today I attempted to file another dispute with XXXX because the account is showing past due as of XX/XX/XXXX which is also inaccurate. XXXX will not allow me to file another dispute for the same issue they are claiming is verified and resolved. Please help!

The Hallstrom Law Firm obtained a garnishment in XXXX 2021.Like I stated earlier I was never served, does not matter what my address shows, if I was not staying at the house and XXXX was not properly served, it should not have been valid. However, XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX is XXXX XXXX who is on the way out, and would sign anything a debt collector put in front of him. My wages have been garnished for a total of {$2600.00}. In addition to the amount they claim I owed they are charging 31.24 % interest plus another 5 % interest for a total interest rate of 36.24 % which should be against AZ usery law. According to my records I should only owe around {$330.00} so I requested a settlement for the amount I have already paid. From the paperwork they provided me the credit limit was {$500.00} and they charged me over {$320.00} in fees. So in essence I am being charged 500 % of the original credit which is robbery. I am XXXX years old, I recently put my XXXX XXXX XXXX mother in XXXX. Im not a wealthy woman and this collector wants to take every last dime. They would rather put me out on the street than to settle for the {$2600.00} I have paid since XXXX. In todays economy its especially bad. Its not like I an take a second job to earn extra money. I believe these collection practices just border on the barely side of legal.

I received dispute results on XX/XX/2022 about this alleged account. This company has never contacted me in writing regarding an alleged debt. Per FDCPA. 15 U.S.C. 1692g ( b ), I request validation ( and production ) of all of the records as specified above. In addition to my aforementioned request, I request that there by no contact with neither me, per 15 U.S.C. 1692 ( c ) ; any possible family/associates that may be known to me, see 15 U.S.C. 1692 ( c ) ( b ), nor any known or perceived place ( s ) of employment, see 15 U.S.C. 1692c ( a ) ( 3 ).

Had XXXX work XX/XX/16. XXXX office did not bill the correct amount and turned over to collections, which then was sent to a lawyer. When I sent a letter full of question about the debt, Law firm/XXXX did not send me the proper documation proving the debt. All I got were credit card receipts showing the incorrect amount. Law Firs/XXXX needs to send me all the transaction including how the insurance was billed and for what amount so I can make a decision on how to proceed. So many companies debt collectors seem to be half-doing what is required by law. XXXX XXXX XXXX is one of these and are not exempt from the law.
