My daughter and three roommates were tenants in a building managed by XXXX XXXX XXXX for 3 years ( they were all XXXX students ). When they moved out, XXXX charged each tenant for various items. The charges were around {$450.00} per person. I paid most of my daughter 's charges as the guarantor on the lease, but disputed two of them : ( 1 ) for painting her room because of thumbtack holes in the wall and ( 2 ) cleaning and/or replacing the main living area carpet. I disputed them because both are routine maintenance and would be undertaken for any incoming tenant/these are the landlord 's cost of doing business. The two disputed items were about {$130.00}. XXXX cashed my check for about {$320.00}, and has now referred the remainder to Collection Bureau Inc. in XXXX, Idaho. I've contested the debt with both XXXX and the collection folks, but continue to receive harassing letters demanding payment.
As you'll see from the attached emails, the landlord claimed the carpet was " stained. '' Not surprising when four college students live in an apartment for 3 years. Later they claimed there was " pet damage. '' I don't know about the others, but my daughter didn't have a pet so even if there was pet damage so I'm certainly not responsible for that.

XXXX had a contract with me and a ruling was if a move a particular radius of miles away, i can cancel the membership. I have moved from XXXX to XXXX and provided sufficient proof of move by sending them documentation of my new address, they still attempted to collect the money first because they wanted me to pay more months that i did n't owe after closing the account and later they told me they did n't get the proof and when i provided them with documentation that i did, they changed their argument to my proof of address was submitted to late. A year later i had contacted them again and they had come up with not ~ {$300.00} anymore but ~ {$2300.00}. I do n't believe i even owe them the first amount because the contact was set that if i move, i can cancel the membership and i did everything accordingly.

The error is being reported via CBI. I was not given an option of verification. The information is not accurate. I need the amounts and dates of the balance verifying this erroraneous info It seems this is an error.
