Pro-rate for intermittent internet service or non-service for 3 months requested for account XXXX. XXXX billing lies about internal wiring. I began XXXX service XX/XX/XXXX. After paying over {$1500.00}, XXXX XXXX has dropped the ball. My kids need the computer for school on a daily basis. In addition, my wife is a teacher and requires the internet to submit grades and contact parents of at-risk students. Before XX/XX/XXXX our XXXX service became spotty. Connections ( sync on the modem ) lasted for a few minutes at best ; moreover, speed ( using Speedtest.net by XXXX ) plummetted to XXXX to XXXX Mbps. Get this : when I call XXXX technical support, I get sync ( but at the aforementioned " turtle '' speed indicated ). After I hang up, I lose sync. I have had to beg the tech to keep me on hold so that my daughter can finish her internet-based math homework! The XXXX suggestion offered : reduce or cap speed at XXXX Mbps for an extra {$50.00} fee, while paying $ XXXX monthly. I was awestuck by the suggested remedy. Technical tickets at XXXX confirm " fix '' is not guaranteed. XXXX XXXX billed me in XXXX XXXX despite the fact that they are no longer my ISP. They say they ca n't pro-rate me for NO or very POOR service since I would n't accept a XXXX cap that may or may not fix the problem. XXXX is lying by parsing technical support notes and wrongfully claiming I have bad " internal wiring. '' XXXX tech refutes this billing department lie when XXXX XXXX modems are tested outside the residence beyond network interface device ( NID ) and still no sync is available ; hence, XXXX is billing me for 3 months even though my family had no service. Moreover, I have affidavit from XXXX XXXX XXXX tech who confirms internal wiring is sufficient and intermittent or no sync occurs beyond NID outside the residence. Furthermore, XXXX XXXX lied to me in XXXX XXXX after they received the XXXX modem. They threatened to charge me {$99.00} even though they had received the modem earlier. I have tracking number to confirm XXXX return. XXXX Customer Billing continued harassment re account XXXX after I terminated ISP relationship due to 3 months of non-service. Billing continued in XXXX even though I began service XXXX XXXX, XXXX with another ISP. I successfully disputed the erroneous credit card charge. However, XXXX is sending my account to collections due to a " bounce '' fee. After they pro-rate me for not providing 3 months of INTERMITTENT service, it is XXXX that owes me money and and apology. XXXX XXXX heretofore has n't pro-rated me for intermittent or sporadic service from XXXX XXXX through XXXX XXXX inclusive. Excluding modem rent fee, this totals approximately {$81.00} ( far more than the false collections amount ). XXXX XXXX 's billing representatives ( incuding XXXX and supervisor XXXX XXXX ) are disingenuous. They continue to lie & parse tech reports. Even the XXXX technicians I worked with evenings confirmed that no sync occurred even with the modem attached to the NID outside the residence.XXXX never once checked the drop or asked XXXX to check copper line network excluding NID infrastructure outside the residence. XXXX failed to provide a service to me ( the customer ), but maliciously continues to try to extort monies even though internet service was virtually nonexistent. Obviously, the XXXX billing department is not educated regarding technical matters. They continue to mistakenly parse what XXXX technicians wrote in the tickets and falsely conclude that " Your downtime was caused due to inside wiring issues. '' They are purposely engaging in malfeasance to extort monies they are n't entitled to. Fair resolution : Requested pro-rate ( for a quarter year of non-service or intermittent internet service ) far exceeds disputed " collection '' amount. Please fix now.

Yet again, you have failed to provide me with a copy of any viable evidence, bearing my signature, showing the account is being reported accurately. Please note that I never received " validation '' ; that is competent evidence bearing my signature, showing that I have ( or ever had ) some contractual obligation to pay you. Additionally, please provide the name, address, and telephone number of each person who personally verified this alleged account, so that I can inquire about how they " verified '' without providing any proof, bearing my signature. I used to have voice over internet with the carrier called XXXX now known as XXXX XXXX and about a year and a half ago I discontinued telephone service with them. However there was an incident in which I moved and in that move I lost a little box that was necessary to voice over telephone calling. The box was about the same size as a deck of cards. I contacted XXXX and explained that the little box had somehow gotten lost in the moves. They said that I owed them {$100.00} dollars for the box. I explained to XXXX that it was an honest mistake and due to me having to move twice in two months, that it was an mistake in which I had ultimately no control over the situation being that the movers were moving me and I explained that I could not afford to pay for the box and that since I was a loyal customer for four years I felt that they should have honored my reasons. I was never again contacted by XXXX. About a year later I began receiving harassing telephone calls from a collection agency stating that they represented XXXX and that they were trying to collect {$120.00}. I asked them what for and they said I owed them money for the lost box. I explained to the collection agency what the situation was and why I did not feel that I should be held responsible for a little lost box and that mistakes happen. I told them that I was filing a complaint. I recently reviewed my credit report and found that I have a collection item reported by the collection agency who supposedly was representing XXXX. I feel that this wrong being that XXXX never contacted me again nor tried to call and discuss the situation and for them to do this is really bad business after I had a legitimate and very logical reason for the issue. I would never deliberately NOT send a little box back to a company for no good reason. I think what XXXX did was wrong and I do not feel that I owe them anything. This is how XXXX treats it former loyal customer 's? I want the derogatory information that XXXX supplied to be removed from my credit report and I want the harassing phone calls to stop. I am requesting your help with this matter and please advise. Thank You. XXXX XXXX

I did not know what to properly put this under. I have a case of Double Jeopardy being reported by a collection agency utilizing different names for different Credit Reporting Agencies. The affiliated group allegedly states they are the same company as XXXX although they are reporting as different companies on two my credit reports. On my XXXX report XXXX collect is reporting with an amount and on my XXXX report XXXX credit is reporting for the same amount. By paying the debt to either one I leave myself vulnerable to have to pay the debt again since the reporting is different on my XXXX report and my XXXX report, and these companies are not reporting the debt type information with each credit agency which if debt type was listed as medical it would not have a dramatic affect on my score. I feel this is a manipulative tactic to report under two different names it looks like I owe multiple accounts with the same amount. Also by reporting the exact name of the medical facility my HIPPA rights have been violated. The debt should have been reported a medical debt not individual debt. I am unable to locate in documentation from either company in reference to verifying this debt. This collection company reported a debt to all three credit bureaus. The collection has caused an unbelievable issue on my credit report. My score has dropped XXXX points because my creditors have lowered my credit limit so it appears that I now have used up all of my credit when that was simply not true before they lowered my limits. And the limits were lowered because of this reporting. They say I owe {$89.00}. I have no idea when this amount came due nor do I know to whom this {$89.00} is owed to. I have no date of service, no invoice, no invoice date. NOTHING. Not once have I received a telephone call nor have I received written documentation of the debt. The reporting on my credit bureau indicates this is a XXXX XXXX debt. I recently went to XXXX XXXX for a health issue and they did not even make me aware of a past due balance. Both XXXX and this collection agency should have at least notified me and given me a chance to pay the debt before reporting to the credit bureaus and ruining my credit. I ca n't even refinance my home now. Because of their poor reporting tactics, my credit is beyond being repaired. I wrote the XXXX credit bureaus and explained the situation and asked for this to be removed from my credit report. My request was declined by all three agencies. Can you please file a complain against this company and the XXXX credit reporting bureaus and have this removed from my credit file? And if in fact that I do owe this money, I can assure you it will be paid promptly. I ca n't say that I do or do not owe this debt because I have never been furnished with an invoice, or what the debt is for, or when the debt incurred.

I closed an account with XXXX XXXX of Ohio on XXXX XXXX XXXX, when I sold a house. I disputed the final gas bill and on XXXX XXXX XXXX received a final bill for {$39.00} which I paid on XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XXXX XXXX XXXX I received a notice from XXXX Special Accounts Department ( XXXX ) notifying me that the previously disputed {$26.00} was owed. I contacted that office and informed them that I had received and paid a final bill totaling {$39.00} and after speaking with a supervisor XXXX agreed the notice was in error. Today XXXX XXXX XXXX I received via XXXX mail, a notice from Affiliated Credit Services stating my previous account with XXXX XXXX was in collections and that I owed {$26.00} on the account. The notice stated I was to contact XXXX XXXX at XXXX to arrange payment. I called XXXX Special Accounts Department immediately to find out why this had happened. This department claimed they had no record of any contact with me prior to today. I 'm unsure if the notice from Affiliated Credit Service is legit or not. If it is legit then it seems apparent to me that XXXX left hand does not know what it 's right hand is doing. I have had no luck in dealing with XXXX XXXX even after paying their final bill in full. Perhaps you folks can get to the bottom of this. I can only imagine what this must be like for some elderly person to go through all this harassment.

I noticed a derogatory medical reporting on my credit bureau and called XXXX at XXXX EST and spoke with a male names XXXX XXXX He stated this was a debt from XXXX. I advised its a small amount happy to pay but need proof of payment. XXXX state they did n't provide and write letter of PIF. I advised need this to confirm I paid off this debt and to whom the debtor was paid off to and for. Rep refused this information. I said then in this case I am disputing the debtor per my Right under the FDCPA to confirm the debtor in which I 'm paying and to whom is demanding the debt be paid to. Representative refused. He stated they only have to comply if request is in writing and that I have owed this bill long enough and should need anything further to pay it. I reminded him that FDCPA states if requested VOD must be provided if requested. I informed him I would be reporting this to CFPB and requested a supervisor if he will not process vod request. He transferred me to an empty voicemail with no ID. I left a message and am now submitting this complaint. also REMOVE FILE FROM MY credit BUREA AND CLOSE BACK TO THE ORGINAL CREDITOR FOR PAYMENT.

I received phone calls from ACS collection agency around XXXX of XXXX regarding a medical debt that did not belong to me back from XXXX of XXXX. I tried to explain the situation at the time and was threatened with legal action. I called the hospital the charge was from and spoke with billing where it was discovered I had the same name as the individual whom the charge belonged but different birthdays and social security numbers. As well as the fact I have never been to that facility and was in XXXX when the charge occurred. I was assured the situation was resolved and I never heard from the collection agency or medical facility again. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX I discovered on my credit report a medical charge filed by ACS Collection agency for the same medical expense that was supposed to have been resolved when I called them in XXXX of XXXX. The charged was filed with the credit reporting company on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. This charge does not belong to me and I was told the issue was resolved.

This agency called me about an electric bill. I didnt know about it but told them I wanted to look into it. I also told them they are not to call my cell phone before XXXX cst since I work. Since then I have gotten calls at all times of day since then. I just called back to tell them that I politely asked them to not call until after XXXX ... .they lady told me they cant accommodate that. I told her all it is is putting a note on the file. She said they couldnt do it. I explained that I am a bill collector also and her response was ... well not at this office. I then told her to just remove my number all together. The company is Affiliated Credit Services and I believe they are Minnesota. I told them before that I didnt believe I owed a bill to XXXX XXXX. I still have not gotten a letter from them either.
