I was contacted by XXXX XXXX Collections Manager TaxServ Capital Services , LLC XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, CT XXXX XXXX : ( XXXX ) XXXX x XXXX # Toll Free : ( XXXX ) XXXX Fax : ( XXXX ) XXXX E-mail : XXXXXXXXXXXX regarding auto taxes owed to the city of XXXX in XXXX. I never received an initial bill and the first information I received was in XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX provided only a statement and the only information it contained was the amount owed, interest and fees. There was no information about the billing period or a copy of the original bill. I requested that a copy of the original bill be provided so I could verify its accuracy and that of the collection agency. Since my vehicle was not plated for the entire year in CT, I wanted to verify the charges. Despite repeated requests, no original bill was provided. XXXX XXXX asked for information ( receipt of plate return, new lease, new registration etc ) that I promptly provided then followed up to make sure it was received and was complete. For the next 4 months I contacted the XXXX XXXX to determine the status of my bill. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX a statement was provided with revised balance, interest and collection fee. No explanation of the change in charges was provided. Again, I have no means to verify the accuracy of the charges or revised charges. Once again I asked for an explanation and further information and XXXX XXXX refused to provide this information. During the 4 month period when my charges were being reviewed I was charged interest on the balance owed. The time for review is excessive and the interest charges are high ( 18 % ) per annum compared to the prime rate of less than 1 %. The high interest charges, long delay in revising my bill and failure to provide accurate and complete information so I can understand and verify my bill are a problem. There has already been XXXX mistake in my billing and I feel it is my right to be able to verify the accuracy of any charges and fees. With the information provided this is not possible.

I received a bill yesterday through mail from TaxServ Capital Services, LLC with an amount of XXXX that I didn't know about. My ex-husband kept all the cars and I know he declare himself on bankruptcy right afte our divorce. But I can not believe all this money owed for a car he kept. I came to Virginia with no car, The XXXX XXXX XXXX here in Virginia gave a car for free back then. I don't know why the XXXX of XXXX XXXX waited 14 years to send me a bill through a collection company. How can you best advice me to do in this case.

Hi I have a problem whit XXXX XXXX a tax this company try to colle ct a tax deb but I call a several times and I sent a letter I am not the person I explain some one else use my identification and buy a several cars I ca n't pay the vehicle tax because I never buy those cars. The last time I spoke whit this company and I sent a letter explaining the situation and then the company stop charging the amount now the company try again to charge me more and I do n't no why do n't understand I am a identity thief victim

TaxServ has reached out numerous times regarding a proposed debt owed for two ( 2 ) motor vehicles to the city of XXXX CT. On each occasion I email them back informing that the bills are not valid, I did not live in XXXX at that time and one of the vehicles was purchased and registered in XXXX ( tax bill attached ), the other disposed of years prior and plate turned into the dmv . Each time there has been no response, please help.

This company is claiming taxes owed on a vehicle from over 10 years ago. I have never be contacted by the city of XXXX XXXX for any balance due and have n't lived in Connecticut for over 10 years. They demand supporting documentation but do so knowing no one keeps tax records from over 10 years ago. This is a blatant attempt at a money grab and they should be shut down. I do not owe them money and I do not owe XXXX XXXX any taxes.

Called to find out information regarding a tax bill they stated I did n't pay in 2013 but they would n't assist. I was hung up on and threatened by the staff. When I ask to speak to a manager I was told no you 're not speaking to her about this. I spoke to XXXX and XXXX.
