On XX/XX/XXXX my XXXX XXXX accounts were frozen. I learned that the name of the company that froze my account is TAPPER AND FRATTO , LLC. I left them a message and a woman called me back. She informed that they obtained a judgement against me on behalf of a rental apartment complex named XXXX XXXX XXXX where I lived in back in XXXX. I asked her for documentation about this and she told me that I had to get it myself. When I looked up my name ( both married and maiden ) in the XXXX XXXX, I see no such case nor judgement entered. Additionally I was never served any court papers pertaining to any of this. When I researched this company Tapper and Fratto , LLC I learned that the company is NOT IN GOOD STANDING, so how is this process even legal? The XXXX of XXXX makes clear that : If a business is not in good standing, it may not legally conduct business in XXXX How is this company allowed to practice debt collection while not being legally allowed to conduct business? Where are the copies of this lawsuit or service?
