I purchased a vehicle from Superior Auto in XXXX, Ohio. My loan is set up to where I pay weekly. Sometimes I've paid a month or two in advance. Recently, upon review of my auto loan account history it has become apparent to me that my payments are not being applied consistently between principal and interest. I believe the account rep and or company is not applying my payments in accordance with consumer finance law. Attempts to address this with management and the account rep to no avail. I've had to go to a different city and county to make payments at another dealership location because of the level of unprofessionalism at the office where I purchased the vehicle. While at another location a manager informed me he didn't understand what was going on with respect to how my payments were being applied and he has never saw a loan with a per diem as high as mine, when compared to loans with consumers who's credit profile is similar. Numerous times that I've paid {$140.00} weekly approximately half was applied toward principle and the other half applied toward interest. Other times, the split of my payments between principle and interest didn't equal the payment I made. Lastly, payment splits were applied even more disproportionately than others. Something, simply doesn't appear right. I have been late a few times. My late pay has sometimes been a couple of days and other times a week. I've also had a couple of returned payments. For which online payment was suspended, but has since been restored. However, I always brought the account current within 7 to 10 days. Nevertheless, my account has been current for more than 3 months. Recently, I resumed making {$140.00} weekly payments. The split between principle and interest has been even more disproportionately applied with the payment being applied solely to interest. When am account is current like mine the payment is supposed to go to principle and interest. The application of my payments to principle and interest is grossly inconsistent and has raised many red flags. I believe someone is altering payments in such a way that is lining the pockets of the account rep ( s ) and/or the company thereby violating consumer finance law and strapping me with a higher interest payment. Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX
