XX/XX/2021 I was contacted by a male with an accent who identified themselves as " XXXX XXXX '' though federal student aid department of education. He stated that I am eligible for the public service loan forgiveness program through the federal government program to provide student debt relief. I was then forwarded to another female also with an accent who identified herself as " XXXX XXXX '' as a personal student loan agent through federal student aid department of education. I was given a number that I was told was the direct line to her as my personal agent XXXX which I called and was no longer in service. The emails and documents that were sent to me through " XXXX '' no longer appear on my XXXX service. ( I only have them since they were forwarded to my XXXX ) She stated she had reviewed my file and that I qualified for this public service loan forgiveness program and could have my student loans forgiven and she would be able to facilitate this process. I have not received any other correspondence from this person. This person had my all my personal information and was able to reset my password on the student aid.gov website. She went through the application process on student aid.gov and finished a loan consolidation process under the expectation that I was going to get this public service loan forgiveness program. She had my employer and assured me that my employer qualified. I was then sent a contract to sign through " Summit Horizon Financial Services '' and a charge for {$900.00} that I was told was part of my loan payment. The next day I was sent an email that there was suspicious activity on my studentaid.gov account. I called an agent through the ombudsman department of Federal student aid, she stated that no third party should have access to my account and that all actions on loans should be done through directly through the department of education. I should not have been charged a fee for this process as that it is completely free through the Department of Education. My employer is a corporate for profit hospital that does not even qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. I was advised to file a complaint through Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The agent that I talked to told me they have no affiliation with this Summit Horizon Financial Services and there is no XXXX XXXX at the Department of Education. I currently have a claim complaint # XXXX through the Department of Education. I call Summit Horizon Financial Services XXXX and they said that my application was correct and that the information given to me was correct. They were unable to provide any information or help with resolving this matter. They said that the consolidation process is complete and there would be no refund. Everything about this process was suspicious and inaccurate. This mysterious person had all of my information and claimed to be part of the Department of Education which was false. They claimed that I should consolidate my loans since I qualified for this Public Service Loan forgiveness program which was false. They claimed that the I needed to pay {$900.00} dollars and was told it was part of my loan payment which was false.

Company has been calling me since XXXX of last year and potentially beforehand. The have been using an auto dialer and call multiple times using different numbers even after i block them. I was eventually able to get some information from a representative. The were claiming to be from Student Loan Forgiveness Services and that they worked with the department of education, that I was supposed to have received an email, then they said that my FAFSA account was locked and they needed my password and username to unlock it, I was a little confused but refused to provide my password however they were able to get my password reset. They tried to get me to finalize some sort of forgiveness plan agreement that was supposed to be through the FAFSA website. However when I asked for an email and company name they refused to provide one. However with the help of another individual through a conference call, by calling them back using a number that was provide for their " senior loan servicer '' i was able to get their company name and address. This was the most recent communication with them. I have previously hung up, blocked them, told them not to call me, and have been on the Do Not Call Registry since 2008. The have at least three reports on the XXXX website stating that they have defrauded people. They are calling my cell phone and I have never solicited their business or asked /given permission for them to call me in any way.

Today Monday XX/XX/2021 a company called Summit Horizon Financial Services contacted me about a Student Loan Forgiveness program who can lower my loan payments to reduce the balance. They accessed my studentaid.gov account and had my total balance amount, last four numbers of my social, and the name of my loan servicer. This all seemed legitimate until they began to ask for my credit card number and requested an electronic signature on a service agreement for the monthly payments. Everything happened as I was trying to search online if this was legitimate or a scam. Only after the call was complete I realized this was a scam and they had charged {$700.00} to my XXXX XXXX Master Card. I then called XXXX XXXX to report the transaction as a scam/fraudulent charge which they will investigate and temporarily credit. Then I contacted Studenaid.com who also confirmed this company was a scam and not affiliated with them, I then changed my password for my Studenaid.com account. They suggested I contact my loan servicer who have noted this scam on my account. They then suggested I contact CFPB who then suggested I contact the Dept. of Education. Although all companies have been made aware of this scam my concern now this Illegitimate company has a service agreement I electronically signed and may use it against me to receive the payment of {$700.00} I have blocked. I hope that is not the case and they do not receive any money!

Got a call XXXX XXXX XXXX initially at XXXX XXXX then later at XXXX XXXX saying my loans were being decreased from $ XXXX to $ XXXX, agent name XXXX XXXX with phone number XXXX. I asked if he worked for the federal govt. and he said he worked with the Dept of Education forgiveness program. He already knew all of my contact and personal info incl SSN. He asked me security questions. He made me sign a an online form via XXXX doc that I later noticed was actually a Limited Power of Attorney form from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I later saw emails in my acct. from Dept of Ed. indicating my account was locked. I stupidly gave my debit card info but immediately blocked the card and change all my passwords, filed a credit block with XXXX, when I realized this was not the Dept of Ed. He said he could give me a payment plan of XXXX months at {$180.00} and then {$45.00} a month for XXXX months. I was also told if I paid {$1500.00} now it would then go to {$19.00} a month. He told me I had to decide and pay today but agree to wait until the XXXX when I told him I don [ 't have any money now. There is no record through my bank of any transactions in my account. Emails have come from XXXX asking me for paystubs, a copy of my driver 's license, which I did not provide ( although I did confirm my Driver 's license ID verbally during the call ).

XX/XX/XXXX - initial contact where I reluctantly gave debit card information for the withdrawal of {$100.00} based on series of information given to and a prior engagement. XX/XX/XXXX - per bank statement, automatic withdrawal ( unauthorized ) posted of {$150.00}. The phone number is listed as XXXX is on the statement. XX/XX/XXXX - email sent regarding XXXX, cancellation, and refund. XX/XX/XXXX - called to cancel and get a refund. Was informed that it would take five to seven ( 5-7 ) business days. Will check on XX/XX/XXXX. **per email, call XXXX XXXX XXXX. I did not see this email until later. XXXX XXXX - informed there was no refund issued and nothing in the notes regarding one. Assured me that she would forward the account to the Refund Dept, and they will get back to me. I was not given a phone number or reference number for a follow-up. XX/XX/XXXX - I called re : no refund. XXXX informed me that had I canceled within 30 days, I would have been issued an automatic refund. I was shot down when I protested that I should still receive a manual refund versus an automatic one. No luck. I then informed XXXX that I would go with my original process with XXXX.

I was contacted by phone on XX/XX/2023, a XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX contact number is XXXX. He claimed to be working with the federal student aid office stating that they could help me through the application process for the loan forgiveness for part of my loans. They had much of my personal information, which led me to believe that they were working directly with this department. They outlined a payment plan that they claimed would guarantee me forgiveness for a significant portion of my loan if the initial payments were made. They did not say that the payment amount was for their services, not directly going to the DOE and I was misled into signing a contract with them. I have been charged the first amount but do not wish to continue business with them. Particularly after doing more research and finding them related to Summit Horizon Financial Services which has many complaints on the XXXX for the same issues I had. I would like a refund and for this contract to be nullified, but I also hope to flag this company as a scam so that future students don't get misled like I was.

On XX/XX/2021 I received a call from a woman who called herself XXXX XXXX. She had all of my personal information including my social security number. She said she worked for Summit Horizon and they were going to help me consolidate my student loans. I did not give her any information however she already had my date of birth, social security number and drivers license number. The number she asked me to contact to speak with her is ( XXXX ) XXXX extension XXXX but she called me from ( XXXX ) XXXX. I am concerned that she already had all of my information and that she was able to log into my federal online portal with her own password. I have changed my studentaid.gov password but would like to know if this is a scam and what I should do from here?
