XXXX Bank 's response enlightened me regarding my concern. I am fully convinced that this is a situation that involves fraud. The company that contacted stated that they would file a Civil Suit against me if I did not pay {$850.00} in full by XXXX XXXX. The company 's name is Summit Consumer Group XXXX. They would not under any circumstances allow me to pay through mail or mail me a payment schedule. They wanted me to purchase a prepaid XXXX card to make my payment over the telephone. By the end of the first and only conversation I had with the company, I was able to get a physical address. It is supposedly : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. ; XXXX, CA. The telephone number I received was XXXX ; XXXX XXXX. I was informed that I could call XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The following number often appeared on my caller ID : XXXX. This company called my husband and XXXX of my brothers. How were they able to find their names and numbers? In addition, I received credit reports from XXXX, and XXXX during the week of XXXX XXXX, 2016. Summit Consumer Group XXXX claimed that they would remove the bad account from my credit report if I paid them, but it is not on my credit report. Thank you Consumer Financial Protection Bureau! I appreciate your diligence in investigating this disturbing case on my behalf. I am grateful for XXXX Bank 's professional response regarding my concern.

Was contact by an outfit called Summit Consumer Group about an XXXX credit card. I responded to them via phone to tell them not to contact me that the debt wads paid. This is an old debt and I have since obtained a premium credit card from XXXX with a large line. I would not provide any information to these people since they use deceptive methods to approached me. They said I was being served court documents and i told them to bring it on. That was over 6 months ago. They called my wife this week and tried that same approach tactic. They said left her a voicemail with the last 4 digits of her SSN and mine. I called and they said they have our credit file. They would not provide an address or a specific business name. We got into a very ugly argument with them and I have begged them to sue me so they can pay for our son 's college education. We have recorded all conversations with them. We have argued with a XXXX XXXX and a XXXX XXXX. This Summit Consumer outfit is very sleazy and unprofessional They catch people off guard and out of the blue.

I got repeated calls saying, " A complaint is being filed against you that requires your immediate attention ... '' They left this number to call : XXXX. When I called they informed me that XXXX was suing me for an unpaid bill of {$1000.00}. No such bill exists. However I did have a bill with XXXX that totaled {$160.00}, a different debt collector had it and it was paid off. There were XXXX people that I spoke to within this offic. I informed them that I believed it to be a scam and tried to request more information and XXXX of them transferred me and XXXX of them hung up on me. I finally got someone who gave me more information and he informed me that they could have received this bill by mistake but that I should still prove that it had been paid. The offer was to prove payment, handle it outside of court by paying them 60 % upfront or all of it through payments or being taken to court where I could fight it. Their website does not look completely real and they use a false address, that when searched on XXXX maps give a ups location.
