I had a home improvement loan with Amerifirst. This loan was established in XXXX with XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX. The loan apparently was transfered to Amerifirst sometime after XXXX. I'm not exactly sure why or how but this is the company that I have made home improvement payments to. The original loan was between my husband ( now deceased ) and myself. I have made the payments the entire term of the loan agreement.. I am at the end of the debt and have made what I believe was the last principal payment which included interest. The XX/XX/XXXX statement reflected that the principal balance owed was {$160.00}. However the bill was for XXXX, which was my monthly payment. My principal balance owed was less than my monthly payment, but my monthly statement didn't reflect that. Once I made the payment in full, the statement reflected that I had a balance of {$2.00}. I attempted to make that payment and the Amerifirst online system would not accept anything less than {$25.00}. There are multiple issues going with my complaint. 1 ) My first problem is that I am disputing what Amerifirst claims that I owe over {$500.00} in service fees. 2 ) Secondly, Amerifirst hired another company to manage their online billing. The company did not provide statements or account balances until perhaps enough customers complained for months. 3 ) I was assessed a late fee of {$17.00} on XX/XX/XXXX after paying the principal balance in full on XX/XX/XXXX. 4 ) I received a call from a representative from Amerifirst and was told that the call was being recorded that if I did not pay the service/late fees this loan would be charged off as a bad debt. After paying off the debt in full. I have communicated in writing and over the phone with this company.

We got a home improvement loan for {$12000.00} from Amerifirst XXXX. We have paid, to date {$13000.00} on this loan. We have filed bankruptcy, and Amerifirst forced me to sign a " Reaffirmation " of the original loan claiming we still owe {$9500.00}. This loan STARTED in arrears, and the reaffirmation places us even further in arrears. They have repeatedly used the threat of foreclosure on our home as a club to end all discussion or negotiation between parties. There were things not disclosed about this loan, such as the lien against our home and the total payoff of twice the amount of the original loan. All the original documentation was done in our home by the XXXX salesman, and XXXX has since gone out of business and reappeared XXXX. We feel like we were defrauded from the start, and have been financially abused since. These companies are in collusion to use predatory loans to assault consumers. Amerifirst has XXXX complaints with the XXXX Report, and they need to be held accountable for their ethically vile practices and pressures.

I filed bankruptcy back in 2012 on a 2nd mortgage on my property and it was included in my BK so I was told by my lawyer I did not need to make payments but the loan would sit on my title until I refinanced or sold the property. I am currently going through a refinance now that I am past my 5th year from BK and my lender is getting a payoff from Amerifirst Financial who held my loan which started at XXXX and before filing our BK we were paid down around XXXX and now Amerifirst is saying my payoff to satisfy my lien release on the property to close my loan is over XXXX payoff. I question how my payoff can be XXXX more than when it was discharged as part of my BK? I believe this to be mortgage fraud as this lender Amerifirst is trying to add funds to my payoff well over what I owe them. I am not responsible for any additional fees or interest accrued once my BK was filed and satisfied. My account number with Amerifirst was XXXX.

The last of XX/XX/XXXX my husband passed away. The beginning of XX/XX/XXXX I began receiving citations on my home. The house needed painted or sided. I did n't know what to do. A door to door sale man showed up they sold siding. I signed papers with a salesman for the Loan of there choice. Did n't understand it but thought they were helping me with my problem. I got the loan in XX/XX/XXXX been making monthly payments of {$200.00} for XXXX yrs now. I have already paid the Amerifirst {$16000.00}. It 's a XXXX yr loan with interest rate of XXXX. The loan is for {$15000.00}. I'ved called and ask what the payoff is and it is the same amount I owe no discount. I also asked if they could lower the interest rate because I 've been a good customer and they said no. I just do n't know what to do. Buy the time I pay them off in XXXX yrs it will be more than double the money I owe. How can that be. Thank you for listening.

I was contacted by my neighbors whom live at XXXX XXXX XXXX that someone by the name of XXXX XXXX from Amerifirst contacted his wife on her personal cell phone trying to reach me XXXX XXXX regarding a personal business matter. Please keep in mind I do n't know my neighbors and never met them. Contacting complete strangers discussing my personal business is a violation of my privacy and just plain unprofessional. Amerifirst has done this to several other individuals and continue to disturb and harass individuals whom have nothing to do with my business with them. They have continued to violate privacy and collection laws.

Amerifirst finance bought out the loan we used to pay for our windows -the repetitious phone call start the day the payment is due at XXXX until XXXX. Sometimes when I get home, there has been up to 25 calls in one day. I 've been told they can foreclose on our house. This was said for a loan payment that was 13 days late. They also call my husband 's cell phone in-between the calls made to our house. We bought the widows over 10 years ago and most have been broken since the first year but directly after buying them, the company went bankrupt.

I declared Chapter XXXX Bankruptcy in XX/XX/2011 Case Number XXXX and the disposition was XX/XX/2011. However, on my credit report it shows my two mortgages XXXX and XXXX discharged in the Bankruptcy as discharged. I have been paying on these two loans every month since the Bankruptcy. Please see attached mortgage interest statements for both mortgages. This is affecting my credit in a negative was. I feel this is incorrect and unfair.
