I recently applied for and was accepted into the FHA-approved Home in XXXX Loan through Suburban Mortgage in XXXX. Initially, I was going to go through my credit union but XXXX with Suburban Mortgage assured me that I would qualify for this advantageous loan and persuaded me to place my business with them. I provided him with my past 2 year 's tax returns and all other paperwork needed for the approval. I was approved for this loan in XXXX of this year. He told me that I was approved but failed to mention that there is an income requirement for this type of loan. He called me with 2 week 's to close to advise me that " underwriting '' would not approve my loan because of my income. I watched as my dream home faded away through no fault of my own. He had my tax records as well as my past month 's bank statements which clearly show my income. He then offered to switch me over to a different kind of loan if I would stay with them! I had to pay a {$99.00} fee to take an exam in order to obtain this loan ( which I passed ), a termite inspection fee ( {$50.00} ) and a home inspection fee ( {$350.00} ). Suburban Mortgage materially misrepresented this loan to me and lead me along, fully knowing that I would not qualify for this mortgage. Not only did I lose out on the purchase of my home, but I am now also out financially. I have tried calling his manager, XXXX XXXX at XXXX but he has not returned any of my phone calls.

My mortgage was service transferred to XXXX almost two years ago. Suburban mortgage has continued to report this mortgage as open with them and now I have my mortgage counting twice on my credit report, which is affecting my debt to income ratio and my credit score. This inaccurate credit reporting has harmed my credit worthiness and impacted potential lending. This is predatory and illegal and must be fixed within 30 days, according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act. To be clear, I only have one mortgage, not two. Suburban mortgage has continued to report my mortgage, even though their reporting reflects no payments. Potential creditors are counting my mortgage twice due to this abhorrent error made by suburban mortgage. If this is not corrected within 30 days, and a written resolution is not sent to me advising that it has been corrected, I will be filing litigation against Suburban mortgage and will seek reimbursement for my legal costs and other financial impacts this error has caused.
