O n XX/XX/XXXX I was contacted by XXXX XXXX ( her phone number was XXXX- it no longer works ) with XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) to help consolidate my student loans and help get me out of delinquency. She informed me that XXXX could help me consolidate my loans by cutting out the middle man and that I could get my loans paid off faster by taking advantage of their student loan forgiveness program. I was informed that based on income I could pay them a {$260.00} down payment and {$81.00} a month ( which included a fee of {$42.00} a month ) for them to consolidate my student loans and allow me to participate in the student loan forgiveness plan. I was told that if I had my payment auto drafted that I could get a .25 % rate reduction. I was also told that consolidating my loans with them would boost my credit and that this would allow them to pay off my loans and consolidate them into one loan. I provided them will ALL my personal information : social security number, bank account number, XXXX ID and password, phone numbers, addresses, and birthdays- everything they asked me for- because I was given false information and lead to believe that they were affiliated with the government and that this was the only way to participate in the student loan forgiveness plan. After a few months however, I started to notice the web address XXXX XXXX had given me ( XXXX ) wasnt active. Then I noticed that her phone number didnt work anymore. Then the companys name that was taking the payments out of my account started changing ( first it was XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, then XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, then XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX). In XX/XX/XXXX my loan provider, XXXX XXXX, started requiring me to fill out an income driven payment application around XX/XX/XXXX every year. For about 2-3 months during that time I would notice that I would be making my payments to my third-party servicer ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) and money was coming out of my account but that the payments werent being made to my loan provider ( XXXX XXXX ). I started making calls to XXXX with the phone numbers they provided ( XXXX ; XXXX ; XXXX ; XXXX ) to try and get in touch with someone regarding my account and I would always get an answering service and the same generic response, We will pass this message on and someone will call you back shortly. Only no one would ever call me back. When I would call XXXX XXXXs, they would immediately ask me if I wanted to make a payment to get my account caught up and I would explain to them that I made my payments through a third-party ( XXXX ) and that I was trying to get in touch with that third-party ( XXXX ) to see why my payment hadnt been made. No one at XXXX XXXX understood what I meant and would just continue asking if I wanted to make a payment. Finally, on XX/XX/XXXX I called XXXX XXXX and spoke with XXXX. XXXX explained to me that I did not need a third-party provider to receive student loan forgiveness and that they ( XXXX XXXX ) provide those services for free. He took down all the information I had on XXXX XXXX XXXX to put in my file and recommended I contact the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau immediately and get help with this matter.

In an attempt to pay down my student loans, this company stated that they charge {$240.00} for the first two months in order to consolidate my loans. The following months I paid {$110.00} every month in order to pay off my student loans. I later found out that since all my loans were through the federal government, there is no charge to consolidate my student loans and in some cases consolidation is not necessary. I have since gotten multiple requests from XXXX stating that my loans have not been consolidated and when I contacted the agency to inform them of the notices, I was told that it takes a while to process and that the consolidation would show up. Nothing has shown up. I was also unemployed for a few months and when I contacted the agency to let them know, they never placed me on the deferment list and still took out the {$110.00} in XXXX. I attempted to contact " Student Service '' several times in order to resolve the issue but their phone line continued to go straight to voicemail. I also tried to locate original documents in an e-mail that only provided a link and now goes to an invalid page. To resolve this issues, I had to contact my bank, XXXX XXXX XXXX, to report the fraudulent activity and have them on permanent suspension of further deducting any money from my account. Once the issue was resolved at my bank and I received the funds, I FINALLY heard something back from " Student Services '' from someone named XXXX XXXX saying that my account with the agency was canceled. I have also checked on my government student loans and there have been no payments made to settle my debt. These instances occurred only because I was trying to relieve my debt prior to finishing XXXX school. It is extremely unfortunate to have agencies like this that exist to scam individuals solely wanting to pay off their student debts. Attached within this claim is the original agreement from Student Services and XXXX additional documents stating they would be taking out {$240.00} in XXXX and XXXX. Also included are my XXXX XXXX XXXX statements for XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. XXXX and XXXX payments are listed on the XXXX statement together. At the bottom of each statement it lists the automatic withdrawals for the account. This company is listed as STUDENT SERVICES XXXX : RECURRING on each statement. XXXX Statement XXXX/XXXX/2016 for {$240.00} XXXX Statement XXXX/XXXX/2016 for {$240.00} XXXX Statement XXXX/XXXX/2016 for {$110.00} XXXX Statement XXXX/XXXX/2016 for {$110.00} XXXX/XXXX/2016 for {$110.00}

I was contacted by Student Services ( XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX XXXX www.StudentServices.help, back in XX/XX/XXXX. They were telling me that if I started making payments to them instead of XXXX, that they would continue to make payments on behalf of me and I would be a part of a program that essentially lets me make payments based on my income for 10 years, and after that, anything that 's left over, gets written off. It seemed sort of suspicious to me at the time, but I was doing okay financially and continued making payments to XXXX and Student Services with the thought that I would pay down my principal. After about two years of making payments, I became " unqualified '' because I no longer have an income, so I stopped making payments to Student Services and continued with XXXX ... after some time, I thought I better make sure that these payments I made, actually went towards my XXXX. It turns out the funds were never applied. I 've been in contact with a gentlemen at Student Services who is willing to give me a partial credit of {$1700.00} but not the full amount I paid overtime ( {$3500.00} ). I have a history of e-mails from these people, I have contact with someone still, and I have additional records. I would like to get everything I paid them returned and I would like them to be noticed as a fraudulent company. So my problem is not with Government loans, but a company pretending to work with the Government and stealing money from college graduates just trying to pay back their student loans.

In XX/XX/2015, I entered into an agreement with a company that promised to help me with my student loan debt. Through their advertisements, our contract and our oral discussions, the company promised to set me up either with favorable student loan repayment terms or a settlement, as well as credit repair. I paid them money up front and then monthly for about two years, but they did absolutely nothing for me. They lied to me and then disappeared. The company 's name was XXXX XXXX XXXX. They were registered with the California Secretary of State, but appear to be inactive now. They had an address located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, California, XXXX, and a phone number of XXXX. They also had a website of www.processingservices.org, which is also inactive, but you can find the website historically through the XXXX XXXX. The most recent listed CEO and Manager was XXXX XXXX, who appears to still be running businesses in California. The contract is attached and, as you can see, between upfront fees, monthly fees, and account fees, I paid this company about {$3000.00} and they did nothing for me. The company violated multiple provisions of the Credit Repair Organizations Act and committed fraud by scamming me out of this money. When I complained that nothing was happening, they said I had about {$1800.00} left in an escrow account and that they were going to send it to me, but they never did and they have not reimbursed anything I paid to them. Please help me get this money back.

During the month of XXXX 2016, I kept getting bombarded by calls about getting help on my student loans. Finally I gave in to pick up a call, where a lady from a company called Student Services proceeded to tell me that she 'll get me a lower rate for a fixed income rate and consolidate all my loans, etc. etc. She also said that for that there is a fee of $ XXXX for the first month of XXXX, and the proceeding months will go directly towards my student loans and I would have a fixed rate of {$390.00}. However, due to actual mails from the Department of Education and the loan servicer XXXX, I was able to find out that this was not the case at all, and this third party Student Services is a scam that has been taking money from me without actually doing anything. The XXXX representative had to reset my actual student loan account so that this third party would not have anymore information, and they also explained to me that 1. I am not on a fixed income payment plan, 2. consolidation of my loans could have been done for free, and finally 3. no payments have been paid towards my loan at all and that I am currently on a grace period. I tried to call the company 's number on the paperwork that was provided for me, but the number seemed to reach some kind of third party phone services. Therefore I would like not only help investigating this company, but also my money back from all the payments I 've been making towards this scam.

Identity theft and a large sum of money stolen from a company that I thought was helping with Student Loan Consolidation. On XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke to a representative from Student Loan Services about loan consolidation. They said that for an initial fee of {$350.00} and then XXXX for 3 months to follow and then no payment for a year. I agreed to it and went on with the process.I gave them my XXXX XXXX XXXX account information ( which is since closed ) In XX/XX/XXXX I noticed that there was a CA address on my credit report and a few other things that looked fishy so those were disputed. I then got an approval letter from XXXX XXXX saying that my loans were consolidated and that I could sign onto my online account.I then got locked out of my online account due to wrong spellings of names and wrong answers to security questions ( even though I was answering them with the right answers. ) I then called XXXX XXXX for help and they told me that Student Services was not a legit company.I also got communication from XXXX from Student Services in XX/XX/XXXX and he called me XXXX XXXX instead of XXXX which was already a red flag in my book. I am out a good sum of money and would like my money back from them. It is not fair that this had happened. Desired Settlement I would like my refund. In XXXX XXXX I learned about the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program ( PSLF ) through one of my professional magazines and called them. I found out that my current 'program ' had not been sending my payments of {$230.00} to XXXX . I had been paying them through automatic debit since about XXXX XXXX . I immediately cancelled payments from my bank and applied for the PSLF. I began inquiring about the monies paid. Where was the money and why was n't it sent to XXXX . My loan amount was about XXXX in the beginning and it was now XXXX ! I was told my money was in an escrow account until they found the right program for me. I was given a breakdown of collected fees and total collected was {$5900.00}! We debated about a refund they initially offered {$1500.00} and final offer, which was paid {$3100.00}. They se nt 2 checks one for {$220.00} and {$2800.00}. I deposited them XXXX XXXX XXXX . I c alled the Better Business Bureau of C A during this process and they advised me to file a complaint after the checks cleared. The checks cleared on XXXX XXXX XXXX . T here is a balance of {$2800.00} that I believe I should have refunded. I was never placed in a student loan program and my student loan debt is higher than it was at the start. They did not pay my loans as agreed upon and this is very unfair to students trying to comply with repayment options.

On XX/XX/XXXX, a large transaction in the amount of {$920.00} was debited from my checking account, made payable to the Department of Education. Previous monthly debits, for this company, were in the amount of {$75.00}. I immediately called Student Services, the company that had reached out to me in XX/XX/XXXX, offering to lower my student loan payments and get part of the loans forgiven under the guise of the Obama Student Loan Forgiveness Program. After hours of calling numerous customer care numbers, I still only had a recording answering my calls and no one had called me back. Finally, I called XXXX, the original owner of my federal student loans. When I mentioned the name " Student Services '', the representative paused, then carefully explained to me that " Student Services '' was a fake and I 'd been defrauded. I stayed on the line with XXXX for over an hour then called my bank, whom had already closed. The next day, I visited my bank regarding the fraudulent transactions and proceeded to the police department to file a complaint against Student Services.

A third party debt relief service -Student Loan Aid- has been accessing my account and withdrawing funds but not applying these funds directly to my student loans. They also put my loan in general forbearance without my permission. I recently learned that this business was noted " not accredited '' by the BBB. This is clearly a for-profit company charging " fees '' and keeping your money - IT IS A SCAM! For me, this was originated on XXXX/XXXX/15 and my payments have not been accurately applied to my student loans since that time. I was not allowed access to my own accounts online because they changed the email address connected with the account - one that I did not have access to and could not use to recover access to my account. Please see attached bank statement as an example of this type of withdrawal in the amount of {$340.00}, which has been occurring on the XXXX of each month.

Starting in the summer of 2015 I had wanted to consolidate all my student loans so i could have one single manageable payment. When I found a consolidation company XXXX XXXX XXXX I gave them my information and I was told they were going to work diligently to gather all my loan information and come up with a reasonable payment plan. Three months later after calling once a week every week i finally saw progress on my payments and plans. As i looked at my credit score recently i noticed that i have a high impact rate during this time from apparent missed payments that i did not now i missed. Yet during this time i was waiting on a third party to complete my consolidation process.

Made pants to XXXX XXXX XXXX co for consolidation to a servicer in the amt of {$47.00} in 2014. Relating to the XXXX 0 plan. I was told that my pymt was going to the dept of ED but yet nothing was applied to my school loan. When questioned, they said the money was ONLY to the servicer as a fee to show my account as being pd for an amt of time.XXXX was the number I called. More like a forbearance pymt, I think. It started in XX/XX/XXXX! Said it was with XXXX. No money was ever applied to my account during that time. Now 13 years after my initial loan of {$12000.00}, I still owe {$9000.00}!!! But have been making regular pymts to attempt to get this resolved! Help!

A company continues to call me all day about student forgiveness loans. The message that is left is by a gentleman named XXXX with the Student Services Department stating that they are with the Student Loan Forgiveness Program. The callback number that was left was XXXX, but the number that they answered is XXXX and XXXX. It is the same person who answers each time, very unprofessional, asking for my information. I asked numerous times to be taken off of the list but they say they have or they need me to do further steps. When I began asking about their program, they hung up on me. I am sure this is a scam.

I entered into an Agreement with Student Loan Aid ( Now XXXX ) to consolidate and manage my student loans. The loans were consolidated and I began making payments to SLA monthly for the consolidated loan. However, without my knowledge or consent, SLA sought and obtained forbearance from XXXX so no payments were made on my loan, but interest accrued all while I was paying them monthly. Even without the additional interest that accrued because of the forbearance, I have calculated that I paid them {$3700.00} on the loans that were not paid for me as I led to believe.

I was told I could consolidate my loans. Spoke with people on email and phone to make one time payment to get the loans consolidated. They took the money and said to stop answering calls form student loan places. I believed they were reputable. After checking back in on the fact i have n't heard from them, all emails were no longer viable and i could not find any website or place to get a hold of someone.

I now can not reach this company, their website is defunct and they have no functional phone numbers. I have no idea what to do about my outstanding loan. Can you please help me?
