I had filed with a debt forgiveness program call Student Debt Center. I have been in contact with their rep named XXXX XXXX, she informed me there was a {$600.00} one time fee for the services provided. I then payed this amount I was then informed that there would no longer be any payments that would be made due to the fact that I had payed the {$600.00}. Today I XXXX/XXXX/16 I saw a payment to XXXX who has my student loan of {$120.00}. I called and talked to them to find out why my payment was made. I was informed it was because I had auto debit and they had only received the paperwork only yesterday. I then spoke with the rep and told her the situation. She then informed me that the debt forgiveness program was supposed to be a free service and that I needed to file a complaint as soon as possible. She then refered me to this federal branch I was then instructed to file my complain online and contact legal aid which I have done. I would like to have my {$600.00} returned seeing as that there is only XXXX income for my house hold and I have a young baby.

I feel scammed by Student Debt Service. XXXX. The woman asked me several questions regarding my student loan. I realized later she was asking these questions to access my Federal Student loan account.. In accessing my account, she changed my password. She also asked ( and I gave her ) my social security number. I have googled the site, Student Debt Center and the number is XXXX. She was going to charge me {$600.00} for her services.

Received a call from someone who claimed that they would consolidate my federal loans, get them on an Income Based Repayment Plan, and get me loan forgiveness, for a price. I told them that I am not interested in paying them for benefits that my student loans already have for free.
