I made payment agreement with collection agency to resolve my defaulted student loans, recieved the written confirmation with amount and letter stating that " This payment must be recieved by XX/XX/XXXX''. I mailed my payment via USPS, over night with tracking and recieved confirmation that the payment was delievered on XX/XX/XXXX When I followed up to ensure that my account was updated and now free of default I was told that I was in default of the payment agreement because payment was not processed and posted by the due date and that I would need to submit all my proof that the payment was delivered on time. ( I forwarded the tracking information with delivery confirmation, that the certified funds were able to be cashed on due date, and the letter indicating that payment must be recieved by ). I was then instructed to contact the department of education as they handle the payments who informed me that since I was in collections I could only speak with the collection agency. I then was only given run around answers when a letter date forXX/XX/XXXXwas issued to my employer to garnish my wages forcing me into another payment agreement. I again paid the settlement in full and used certified tracking for my deliverery with proof onXX/XX/XXXX and am unable to have any response as to my payment being recieved, processed or posted. I have been harrased into paying additional sums and faulse information being given about due dates and expectations
