I have been trying for years now to resolve this situation with this company. I have sent MANY letters and calls stating it was a Workers Comp claim and that the original creditor did not give all information for payment in timely fashion and their window expired and they are forcing me to pay due to their neglect ignorance of numerous letters and calls. They have damaged my credit and reputation. I am writing to your office to please help me to resolve this clear violation of my consumer rights by Stern Recovery Services. They are unfairly and inaccurately reporting on my Consumer report and it is negatively affecting my character, my mood of living, and my general reputation. I have been damaged as a result of their unfair and inaccurate reporting. I have exercised my specified remedy, notice of debt validation, ( Pursuant Regulation F, 12 CFR 1006 ) several times with no response. In XXXX XXXX leaked the data of 143 million Americans, I was also one of those 143 million. My personal information was used to open several accounts in my name, as a result I have become a victim of identity theft, my overall credit score as well as mental health has suffered greatly. The following accounts should be removed from my credit file. Stern Recovery is currently reporting three accounts to my credit file that should not be there. Stern Recovery Service {$110.00} Stern Recovery Service {$1000.00} Stern Recovery Service {$360.00} I have disputed this account twice ; this company has not verified this account as belonging to me. The Fair Credit Reporting act requires you to remove this account from my credit file as soon as possible. Under the " Fair Debt Collection Protection Act '', by law, your company should have sent me the following information. 1. An explanation of what this alleged account balance is for. 2.A calculation of the balance, including the complete payment history. 3.Documentation that shows I have agreed to pay this debt. 4.The agreement that grants you authority to collect on this alleged debt. 5.A copy of your state license, including lic ense number. Your company has failed to provide me with this information, my lawyer has advised me that we will move forward in court in exactly 4 business days if this information is not removed today. In the event that you do not remove this account from my credit file, I will move forward with the necessary steps to sue you for actual damages and declaratory relief. Hi, To whom this may concern, I have attempted to contact Stern Recovery Services on numerous attempts to not only validate my debt but, to also provide proof of my debt and to confirm the amount of the debt owed. I called the company on XX/XX/2022, I spoke with a representative that was not pleasant, that failed to provide me with proof of my debt after asking numerous times and also provided me with the false amount. According to my Credit Report, they are attempting to collect {$140.00} but, when I called the representative stated {$310.00}. I asked the representative to please provide proof of where that amount came from and why but, they stated they could not provide proof and that I would have to call back the next business day to speak to manager. I informed them that in order for me to pay the debt that they are claiming that I owe, I have the right to validate debt according to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I called again on XX/XX/2022 to ask for the companies email and/or if they can send me proof of the debt, the representative stated that they couldn't provide proof but, could only discuss the amount that I owe. I asked for the company email and address but, the representative failed to provide that as well. I am not obligated to pay any debt that can not be proven that it belongs to me as well as, providing me with the incorrect amount than what was sent to the collection agency.

My credit agency XXXX reported that my credit score was dropping due to a past due amount that was reported to Stern Recovery Service on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX 's behalf. I then contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX where XXXX confirmed the bills were for a {$290.00} blood work performed with my annual physical ( covered by my XXXX ) and another lab that was not performed so there should be no interpretation of it. XXXX referred me to XXXX XXXX billing where I spoke to XXXX who transferred me to interpretation billing, I was disconnected so I called back and spoke with XXXX again and XXXX who suggested to check XXXX to address billing concerns : my concern being reported to a credit bureau for a bill that should not exist, and I never received. Multiple times I have requested a statement from Stern Recovery Services and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX showing where this balance is coming from and have not received any response. Most recently I sent a certified letter to Stern Recovery Services requesting a Debt Validation letter. This was mailed on XX/XX/2022 USPS tracking shows the request was received on XX/XX/2022 at XXXX and was accepted by an individual at the office. I have still not received a response as of XX/XX/2022. I have closely been monitoring my credit reports. My credit reports have two debt amounts of {$720.00} and {$1200.00} from Stern Recovery Services whom they have stated I owe Stern Recovery Services. After speaking with a representative from Stern Recovery Services asking repeatedly to send me documentation of this account, services date, signed and verifiable signature of a contract with Stern Recovery Services, absolutely nothing has been sent to me. I have repeatedly sent letters to the Stern Recovery Services asking them to remove inaccurate accounts that they are reporting on my credit reports, up to last month XX/XX/2020. I am aware the FCRA promotes accuracy and fairness in the files of consumer reporting. A bill without a written signature does not validate the debt and anybody can send a bill and say that it belongs to me. In XX/XX/2022, I reviewed my Credit Report. On my Credit Report it shows that I have a XXXX medical collections with XXXX XXXX XXXX. I do not recognize this medical debt and wrote them a Debt Validation Letter ( attached with the date that it was mailed ). I received a response from the Stern Recovery Services , inc formerly known as Stern & Associates that they could not find my account without the last 6 digits of the account. This information is not necessary since I have lived at the same address for 7+ years and provide the balance, when the account was opened, and that this was medical debt on the debt validation. They also implored that the last 6 digits can be found on the credit report, but this is not accurate.

It has been deleted off XXXX and XXXX but XXXX is still reporting false information and harassing and calling and sending letters and keeping false inquiries that are not verified and accurate to my credit report! I have disputed over and over again and they are refusing to deleted these false things off of my credit report and sold false information to the credit bureau without my permission and false information and did not re investigate but instead constantly sending letters and it had caused me financially a lot of money and denials due to fraudulent accounts on my credit report!

On XX/XX/2019 ( 1 yrs, 3 mos ago ) I received a derogatory remark on my credit of {$140.00} from a XXXX XXXX passed over to stern recovery services for a debt not paid. I have full coverage insurance and have no problem having my insurance cover this bill. I never received any notice of what I owed and did not receive phone calls and was not notified that I had a due bill. This has made it extremely hard for me to build credit and get loans, get a mortgage because of the effect it has on my credit. I reached out and they did nothing about it.

This company Stern Recovery Services has placed several medical debts on my account for dates that in no way possible can be accurate, they are reaged by more than a year. This company and other fraudulent companies like it ILLEGALLY re-age debt to when they received the debt not the date of original delinquency which is required by law. Every filing they have on my credit report is federally illegal due to re-aging of debt. XXXX is guilty of ignoring disputes and marking them as accurate when they don't bother to investigate at all.
