I was contacted in XX/XX/2018 by XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Address : XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, PA XXXX ) that I have a credit card payment to make. I initially thought it was a scam call as I never heard of XXXX XXXX XXXX before. When I called them they said they are not receiving payments and I am the owner on the account. I said I never owned XXXX XXXX XXXX 's credit card and asked them to email me the original credit card application which they did. I contacted them right away as I notice the signature on the credit card application was not mine and my ex-husband put the signature for joint owner. I disputed this credit card and questioned XXXX XXXX XXXX how did they add my name without taking my permission. I filed complaint with XXXX XXXX XXXX police about this and I clearly mentioned that the signature on the application is not mine and emailed the affidavit to XXXX XXXX XXXX. In-spite of doing all this, XXXX XXXX XXXX didn't remove my name and now they sold the account to XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Address : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, PA XXXX ). Now I am receiving collection calls and letters from XXXX XXXX XXXX. I would like you to take action on XXXX XXXX XXXX which made a mistake of adding my name to Credit card without taking my permission and started bothering me when they stopped receiving payments from my ex-husband. It is causing so much stress and pain and affecting my daily life. Though I am innocent here, I am being punished with these phone calls and letters. Please take appropriate action on XXXX XXXX XXXX as they made mistake of adding me without my knowledge and for harassing me. No credit card company or lender should get away for their own mistakes and harassing innocent people I condemn XXXX XXXX XXXX 's attitude and behavior towards me in this whole process and question their policies for issuing credit cards and XXXX XXXX XXXX for calling and threatening me with their phone calls and letters

On XX/XX/2018, I received a call from my parents so who stated that they received a voicemail message left from XXXX XXXX of sterling credit corporation a debt collection service XXXX. This company had contacted me previously on my cell phone number and I told them not to contact me by phone anymore and only by mail. When I contacted XXXX, i informed her that I did not appreciate her contacting my parents and telling them that she was calling from a debt collection service and i don't know how they were able to obtain their number as I had never given it out to them and she didn't know, perhaps they found my parent 's number online as it is listed there. I told her that her actions were a direct violation of the fair debt collection practices act and she didn't seem to care much about violating a federal law and I added that I could sue her company for this. XXXX stated that her company could not get in contact with me, but that is a lie as we spoke previously on the phone before and that is when I told her to stop calling me and only send any correspondences to me through the mail as she already has my contact address! This company was hired by XXXX XXXX to collect an outstanding debt my a previous checking account I once had where I was scammed. XXXX only contacted me once when the account was closed and I informed the represenative that I was scammed and he never told me what I should do like file a police report, etc. Instead he was very rude with me and lectured me on being scammed like i wanted it to happen! It has been a year already and I'm only hearing back from the debt collection service now?

Settlement agreement for the amount of {$800.00} made between XXXX XXXX XXXX on behalf of XXXX XXXX. Initial agreement was for 3 payments of {$260.00} to paid XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/2018. Modification made to initial agreement made Monday, XX/XX/2018 with XXXX @ XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for 2 payments ; XX/XX/XXXX {$260.00} and XX/XX/XXXX {$530.00}. Settlement was paid according to initial and modified agreement. I have attached transcript of phone recording, letter confirming settlement agreement from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and bank statements confirming payments. My account has been reactivated on my credit report. I have been called no less than every few hours every day by XXXXXXXX XXXX in an attempt to collect the full amount of the debt that was settled XX/XX/2018. I want removal of the account from all 3 credit bureaus. I want a letter confirming the account has been settled and paid in full from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. I want to have them apologize for harassing me every day with collection calls and if you can fine them, please do.

I was a victim of business malpractice, a Service was provided for a client in which after receiving services they then went a disputed the charge which was taken from my bank account causing my account to go into the negative state. i contacted my back at the time as well as cash app which is how payment was processed and was given very little help. i contacted the bank and explained what happened and was told pretty much it was nothing they could do about it. i then went to another branch of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and tried to see if i could get bettre assistance with this issue and was not helped at all, i was told i just have to pay it. the account then sold to a third party debt buyer and they have been calling me non stop trying to get me to pay. i am highly upset and have been fighting this for years, yes i could have just paid the {$540.00} and forgot about the issue as a whole but i will not take responsibility for a con artist.

On XX/XX/2020, XXXX XXXX of Sterling Credit Corporation, claimed to be collecting a debt on behalf of the XXXX XXXX XXXX for the amount of XXXX. They threatened that I would have negative reporting on my credit. They kept referring to me as XXXX XXXX when I am, in fact, XXXX XXXX. They refused to acknowledge this. Kept increasing making use of aggressive and threatening language and were demeaning. I said I was not able to make a payment and payment plan at this time, but I did intend to pay the debt. They refused to acknowledge this and claimed I was refusing to pay or acknowledge the debt. They proceed to state that they would report that I refused to pay the debt and would report that. This was a false statement on their part. I proceed it contact XXXX XXXX XXXX to see if, in fact, this was a legitimate third party. I have not heard back.

I believe I am a victim of identity theft. Due to the Pandemic, we have been facing a lot of problems in terms of financial, emotional, and physical aspects. Also, I have been hearing a lot of recent news that the Bureaus are having data and system issues. I decided to look at my credit reports from the 3 major credit bureaus and found that this STERLING CRD was reporting to be negative on XXXX. I have disputed the fraudulent information from my credit report. I have no idea how the theft took place. I also have no knowledge of any suspects. I did not receive any money, goods, or services as a result of identity theft. I have done many attempts to reach out to the Bureaus but they failed to give me any results or feedbacks about this concern. Please investigate and remove it from my personal credit file. Thank you.

Sterling credit contacted me yesterday stating i owe a debt that i have no knowledge about it at all and they told me if i didn't pay my kids will be taken from me and my house and the man call me a XXXX and say pay your bills right now .they said i owed {$6000.00} and i don't owe that .Who is this company that i don't know at all .I explain to them i dont know them or what this debt is and he still assist i did and told me they will call all day and night til they get there money its Covid and this a shame .They are calling from XXXX.Please have them leave me alone .They call everyday and all day.

I made both of my biweekly payments for XXXX together iao XXXX. My payments are usually XXXX every two weeks. I made it early this month so I didnt have to make it XX/XX/18. I got a bill in today saying they got my payment and I got another one due XX/XX/18 when I made both on XX/XX/18. This company has been a nightmare to deal with since they took over my loan. Rude reps when I call in and now this inconsistent billing stating I owe again when I do not for XXXX. I want this to be consistent and for the over billing to stop. I have received several calls from this number : XXXX. Caller says the message is from a debt collector and gives this number to call back : XXXX. I have not talked to the caller and only know the message because a voice mail was left. I am not aware of any outstanding debt and I have not received any written communication from any company about money owed them. I think the call is a scam and hope you can handle it.

I have already resolved the payment with Sterling Credit Corp as of XX/XX/20, but the payment of {$730.00} still appears on my credit report. Sterling Credit Corp tells me to call XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to remove it from my credit report. When I call them they tell me to call Sterling Credit Corp . I can not get to anywhere, nobody is trying to help me.

I had an account with XXXX, which Sterling Credit Corporation took over. I paid Sterling Credit Corporation XXXX by certified check on XXXX, which they stated in their payoff letter that I would no longer be held responsible for the remaining balance. This reports to all three credit agencies as a balance owed of XXXX.
