XXXX XXXX XXXX out of XXXX Mn. reported a charged off XXXX cell phone on my credit. The cell phone is not and was never my cell number. XXXX is a debt buyer and transferred me Stephens and Michaels and Associates. I informed Stephens and Michaels that the cell number and bill are not mine. The Agent ( XXXX ) told me I need to file a police report. I asked if I filed a police report would that remove this account from my credit. She responded, " I do not know, I do n't have anything to do with credit reporting '' so, I asked what I should do to get this removed from my credit since it is not my account. she said she can validate my debt, by sending me the last couple statements. Unfortunately this does not solve anything. Validating the debt does not help remove a wrong account from my credit. The onus should be on XXXX to prove they legitimately opened this account. they should prove that they verified the social security number prior to opening account. Stephens then referred me back to XXXX. I called XXXX and they refused to speak to me about my credit report. they said I need to speak to Stephens and Michaels. I explained that Stephens and Michaels could help me. I told the woman at XXXX that they put this on their credit an I need them to tell me what I need to remove it and they said " sorry ca n't help u '' and quickly transferred me back to Stephens and Michaels. This is not my account and I want it removed from my credit. XXXX has an " XXXX '' rating with XXXX. they obviously do not care about doing the right thing.

I had a credit card, auto loan, and personal loan from XXXX XXXX sent to Stephens and Michael 's Associates debt collection law firm. While making the payments to Stephen 's and Michael 's I was under the impression that all of my payments were going towards the debt. When I completed my payments with Stephen 's and Michael 's I contacted the bank to get the title of the car since I was under the impression that all our debts had been paid. The bank explained to me that Stephen 's and Michael 's charges a XXXX-XXXX % fee and that I still owe the bank. Even the customer service representative admitted that this is a common tactic of Stephen 's and Michael 's and that others have been led to believe that their debts were fully paid off when they in fact were not. The entire time in dealing with Stephen 's and Michael 's I was never informed of this fee and the fact that the final payment I made was n't going to fully satisfy the debt.

On XXXX XXXX, XXXX I received a letter stating I owed XXXX for a XXXX XXXX. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX I sent a letter stating that this was not my account as I was am minor when this account appeared to be established. I sent a copy of my ID and Social Security Card. I received no response. My DOB is XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I received no response. On XXXX XXXX pursuant to FDCP Act 15 USC 1692g sec 809 ( 8 ) I sent a request for Validation of the debt. As of XXXX XXXX, XXXX I did not receive a response. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I contacted XXXX XXXX Fraud Department and was informed the account was established XXXX XXXX. At that time I was only XXXX years old and not able to legally enter into any contract as I was a minor. Stephan 's & Micheal Associates have violated the FDCP Act in multiple ways. This account was placed on all XXXX credit bureas while I was utilizing my 30 days to dispute the debt.

Debt was paid/ settled in full. The company agreed to remove the debt from my credit report. Instead, the company updated the credit report to show a past due amount minus the amount I paid. This is unacceptable. I would not have paid a dime unless the item was going to be fully removed. I have filed a complaint with my credit card company as well. The call was recorded and I am very clear on what I agreed to with the company. After reviewing several websites, this company has a track record for shady practices and unfair collection practices.

Hello stephens and michaels called me and said i owed XXXX from XXXX and when i talked to the lady she gave me an address i nver ever lived at before. So i called XXXX to verify that they sent it to them for collections and come to find out they never did this debt agency is a scam they are gon na mail ne something in the mail and verizon said they never sent it to them. They tried to give me a deal and they were so rude and wanted my personal information and trying to collect money for something they dont have or i dint owe

A man named XXXX XXXX from Steven and Michealson Associates keeps calling me regarding a debt that I do not know anything about. He keeps persistently trying to tell me that I work for some company that I DO NOT WORK FOR! He is harassing me and my family. He calls numerous times despite me informing h I do not know what he 's talking about. He leaves numerous voicemails daily on my personal cell phone. This is outrageous and needs to be stopped

Some one by the name of XXXX keeps calling me at my place of employment, on my cell and residence and stating he works for Stevens and Michaels Associates XXXX, they are stating they have information on me and will come arrest me at my job or home, when asked what is this matter about, they get aggressive and do not give me any information. Also main number is always connecting to a voicemail to leave a message.

Collection Company Name : Stephens Michaels & Assoc. Representative did not give her name until I asked, rep. never notified me call was attempt to collect debt, rep. never told me call was being recorded, rep. also claimed that there was supposed to be a pre-recorded message verifying all of those things before our call was connected ( implying auto-dialer ) but recording never happened.

I keep getting phone calls from Stephens & Michaels Associates in NH. When I answer the phone a recording asks me to please hold, when someone answers the phone they will not provide me with any information, just that I have an outstanding debt and they require that I pay it immediately. They will not provide me with proof that they have acquired this debt from the first policy holder.
