On XX/XX/2022 around XXXX, I was contacted via email by XXXX XXXX from John Adams Mortgage Company regarding refinancing my existing mortgage. The email from XXXX XXXX was unsolicited, as I had not previously contacted XXXX XXXX nor any other representatives at John Adams about refinancing. I replied once to XXXX XXXX 's email on XX/XX/2022 that I would be interested in exploring refinance options and asked what my options would look like. By XXXX, I received a refinance quote from XXXX XXXX XXXX Within minutes afterwards, I was notified that a hard inquiry was done on XX/XX/2022 by mortgage lender XXXX XXXX. This occurred within an hour of XXXX XXXX 's unsolicited email about a refinance opportunity. I was never informed that this would involve a hard credit pull, nor did I ever consent to XXXX XXXX or anyone at John Adams doing a hard inquiry into my credit. If asked, I would not have consented to a hard inquiry. My conversations with XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2022 were exclusively over email, which I have uploaded with my personal information removed.
