The person first assisting me I knew as it is a small town. I walked in talked with her about the online pre approval notification from lending tree website for {$18000.00} or a little more. Informed her that I was wanting to utilize a portion of the loan to use part of it with debt consolidation. Then the other part to use as a down payment for a vehicle as my current one just blew the engine. She then stated we could do that and then went into talking about they could even just give the loan for the entire loan on a car. We hadn't looked yet at cars so while she waited for approval for an amount she said by the time we looked at a couple she would have it and would call. We went and looked at three or four dealerships. the first had a car I knew I was wanting to purchase the day before but they had already sold it by the time arriving, so showed me what happened to be the vehicle this is all about right now. While they showed me the car i wanted to go to others to see and not spur of the moment pick the first car I saw or that was offered. After looking we went back to the Loan company where the following took place : Upon walking in the lady in the first desk stated shes on the phone and as I heard that you two know one another I now will be taking over handling your loan. She didn't ask me any questions so assuming she was filled in with what was going on she then proceeded to ask for the Vin, Amount of the vehicle, millage to see if it was set at a price that they may get approved or not per their year and standards, then asked who the Dealership was and so forth. We went and got something to eat to wait for the response on the information we sent. Upon the following morning we were told we were approved to come in and we could go over the details. We went in and she started offering three or four extra items we could add that would increase the loan amount that were insurances to cover, if one of us happened to fall ill it would cover the cost of the monthly payment until released back to full duty from a dr , one was gap insurance to cover the difference from payoff and amount paid by an insurance company getting you a year newer vehicle and with XXXX less miles I do Believe can not recall the exact coverage, there was another insurance equaling three that we purchased. She never went over any qualifications and as this was the first time using my credit for basiaclly anything i even asked about a first time buyers and what that entailed. She stated it wouldn't benefit me. Then told us the system was down for us to be able to sign so she would be emailing us the links to sign electronically then handed me the check for me to take to the dealer had their name Printed on it with amount for the dealership which was around the corner about a mile. Get to the Dealership and was told the salesman who showed us the car the day before was currently tied up with another client, so they sent us back to the manager/.owner i believe he was, as well as the sales agents father. We go to the office in the back where he is located and he had the paperwork sitting out and before sitting down was holding two pens out and said here sign here, I stated just a second sir I would like to double check that the salesman told me he would look into about the car. He stated it was under warranty and was a Certified Like New Vehicle that it had underwent XXXX 100 or 200 or 300 point inspection i don't recall the exact number he used, that the vehicle had remote start, a vehicle app that you can track the car at all times for security and peace of mind, had a package for free services up to and including the XXXX miles, while showing me the car fax i remember he had kept it in his hand had several papers in his had was flipping through showed me the XXXX where the vehicle was one owner, clear title, never wrecked, with the top part covered by some other paperwork in his hand, free trial of XXXX XXXX XXXX, and that the vehicle only had the one key fob, that he thought there was two and if not he would get us one plus have the car detailed, washed, topped off, bc it was E with about 15 miles to empty as he stated one of the reps were using it to drive to and from work.. The Manager/Owner asked the other rep to check on it as i stated i would like to know how the process is going to go bc I've never done this before. He asked to see the check and stated you will be giving me this and signing this paper then ill give you a packet that you will be taking back to the location of your Loan company where we will when it comes in be sending the title to them, we will call you when the license plate comes in to put it on. Then the rep came back in confirmed what the salesman the day before stated that it did have those items and they would be getting me the other key. We signed one paper then I handed the check i stated is that all and the manager/owner said no im putting this together for you and a copy for my cosigner and a copy for the loan company with that will be their paperwork as well. They had also told XXXX as this was the fourth time within three months bought or brought in someone to sell a total of four vehicles including mine that they would be making she he got some kind of points or credit or something i guess they offer for a situation like that. Which i do believe he never received. They handed us the paperwork, the one key, and as we walked back out to the front entrance i remembered and stated could i get a copy of the XXXX as i had never had a vehicle that had always been so detailed with services, He stated sure we are waiting for them to bring the car around right now for you actually come with me ill grab that off his desk for you. I followed the rep to the rep 's office from the day before, as he grabbed the paper from the customers side of the desk i could see through the conjoining window. with two maybe three steps more i rounded the corner as he said theres the first sheet im looking for the rest of it ... then said well let me check with the finance manager and have him print you the other pages. I stated oh he only showed me the one yesterday. He came back out of the finance office pointed to my car out the front window walked around me and grabbed the key from the gentleman walking in turned and said here you go i hope you do enjoy it. Handing me the paperwork as well and as i fumbled with them my Cosigner grabbed them from me as we headed out the door telling me to meet him over at the Loan Company. We got there walked through the door and she said it is a beautiful car as she went to take photos i do believe. She returned and my cosigner handed her the paperwork. And she said thank you and he stood up i was like is that it she said that was it. Not to forget as i hadnt opened the email still to open those by end of the day and sign them. The second Lady that set up the account apparently as we were told a week later from the manager at the time, did not put in the cosigners second job. As the loan should not have been approved she stated without that information in there. Then we took that paperwork up there three times, to still a fourth time get a call about we needed to bring it up there again. We told them no that was enough times as the loan was already approved and we had the vehicle. Upon leaving the dealership parking lot the volume knob fell off into my hand before pulling onto the street i stopped and went to turn around as XXXX took off and a truck pulled up behind me so i said to myself ill bring it back later today. Then realizing i had a quarter of a tank of fuel and thought really. Since then I found out that the car didn't have remote start, no tracking that was only something police could do in the event it was stolen, half the apps he said wouldn't work with the year model it was that was for the XXXX and up, it had been wrecked, and the damaged wheels and windshield replaced per the XXXX, yet they had it listed it hadn't been, and had a clean title. It was in the TDI Settlement per the VIN Number of my vehicle and the NFTHS or however the order goes. Where in the court paperwork of the docket from the case notes stated the judge deemed the cars under Texas law to be Lemons i do recall it saying I haven't looked at those papers in over a year but i do have them stored one of my accounts. I've tried to talk to the dealership as they never got me another key fob, said " ehhhh '' shrugging their shoulders as i talked with them about me stating to the original sales rep that a week after I bought the car had quit told me it had remote start and then stated they wouldn't be getting me another fob they don't know why he told me that I said probably why he isn't there anymore and the rep said yeah pretty much. I had not ever found my paperwork they handed me and my cosigner didnt know what he had done with it so while there talkng with thema sked for a copy of it all again so i could have it for my records. he then handed me not a copy of the signed paperwork but kept the copy from the printer for himself and handed me the colored sheet pink i think it was, meaning when i found mine and the cosigners and got the one from the loan company which they gave me the top carbon copy keeping the printed copy for their self that meant i now have all the original " signed '' carbon copies. The carbon copies none of the three top copies did anyone at the dealership sign nor had they signed the bottom copy they had before we did as he stated he woudl have XXXX sign it tomorrow when he came in. There was also with the paperwork from he dealership that he gave me extra when giving me the copies i requested adn from the loan company i hadnt seen and it was the title information for the vehicle which was forged and was not either of mine or the cosigners signature in which i have scanned and can provied upon request where you will also see no signature on either paper carbon copy they sent us with making it now no longer legal documents either end or either way you look at it. I then after being upset at all of this and fighting with the XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX and XXXX went back to the dealership and let them know what was going on i was upset and what legally i could do. They stated the owner had left for the day stated they understood my frustration and continued to then print out the paperword for me on the TDI Settlement and told me that the XXXX dealership lied that he personally sold the previous owner a new truck with the car being a trade in on it after getting the money from the settlement.,. as the Nearest XXXX dealer in XXXX Tx Told me that the car was supposed to be sent back to the Manufacture and they didnt know how i had got it last the sales maanger knew the car was sitting out there in the parking lot tires low from sitting for awhile as i was in there to complain about several things including the tires being weather worn entirely bad and a defect in them causing them to wear away a certain way, There is so much more about the XXXX XXXX and the last dealership XXXX XXXX that its unreal how many times i have tried to get this all squared away. Im fed up with the circles and being lied to.

THIS COMPLAINT IS IN REGARD TO A CREDIT INQUIRY EXISTING ON MY XXXX CREDIT REPORT PASSED THE LEGAL REPORTING STATUTE OF TWO YEARS. THIS COMPLAINT IS AGAINST THE CREDITOR SPRINGLEAF CONSUMER THAT IS FURNISHING THIS OUTDATED INFORMATION TO XXXX THIS COMPLAINT IS NOT AGAINST XXXX AT THIS TIME. This is a complaint arising under Sections 5 ( a ), 5 ( m ), 13 ( b ), and 16 ( a ) of the Federal Trade Commission Act ( FTC Act ), 15 U.S.C. 45 ( a ), 45 ( m ) ( 1 ) ( A ), 53 ( b ), and 56 ( a ) ; the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA, 15 U.S.C. 1681-1681x ; and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), 15 U.S.C. 1692-1692p, to obtain monetary civil penalties, a permanent injunction, restitution, disgorgement, and other equitable relief for the Defendants violations of the FCRA, the FDCPA, and Section 5 of the FTC Act. XXXX provides consumer personal credit reports to regional and national credit grantors, attempting to issue both commercial and consumer credit. XXXX regularly furnishes consumer credit reports to Creditors electronically. XXXX is an entity who regularly and in the ordinary course of business furnishes information to one or more Creditors about its transactions or experiences with its consumers. XXXX routinely receives complaints from consumers who claim they do not owe the debt or that an account is invalid or incorrect. In numerous instances, I have notified XXXX at the address specified for such disputes that XXXX is reporting inaccurate information concerning my consumer credit. As a victim of identity theft and the XXXXS Data Breach I expect the information in my consumer report to be accurate and my disputes taken seriously. XXXX has continued to report inaccurate information to the Creditors even after receiving such notice and accompanying proof. In numerous instances, I have disputed the information appearing on my consumer credit report in writing to XXXX. XXXX receives most notices of disputes from a consumer in electronic format, through automated consumer dispute verification ( ACDV ) forms provided on XXXXS website. Pursuant to Section 623 ( b ) ( 1 ) of the FCRA, XXXX, as a furnisher of information to the Creditors, is required to conduct an investigation of the disputed information upon receipt of a notice of dispute from a Consumer. For certain types of disputes, such as those where the consumer claims the account is not his or hers or belongs to someone with a similar name, it is XXXX s policy and practice only to compare the name, social security number, date of birth, and address in XXXX s computer database with the information provided on ACDV forms. Where three of the four items match, XXXX will report to the Consumer that it has verified the information it furnished as accurate. It is XXXX s policy that only after the consumer has alleged the same type of account inaccuracy more than four times will the matter become assigned to a supervisor to do further investigation. Because XXXX collects accounts that are often old, information in its computer files may not be accurate for a variety of reasons, including incorrect updating of addresses, errors in recording names and information, and problems with the original Creditors records. In disputes involving identity theft or fraud allegations, XXXX s policies provide that if the existing account codes and notes in its records do not contain any reference to a prior claim of fraud, XXXX will verify the previously reported information without conducting any investigation prior to such verification. In numerous instances, despite written or oral notification from consumers disputing the accuracy or completeness of alleged debts, XXXX continued to furnish the information to the Creditors without communicating that the information was disputed by the consumer. Section 623 ( a ) of the FCRA describes the duties of furnishers to provide accurate information to Creditors. Section 623 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( B ) prohibits furnishers from providing information relating to a consumer to any Creditor if i. the person has been notified by the consumer, at the address specified by the person for such notices, that specific information is inaccurate ; and ii. the information is, in fact, inaccurate. In numerous instances, I have contacted XXXX at the address specified by XXXX to dispute information furnished by XXXX to a Creditor and to notify XXXX that the information is inaccurate. In numerous instances, I have also provided information such as the consumers drivers license, social security number, and/or proof of residence to confirm my identity. The acts and practices alleged above constitute violations of Section 623 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( B ) of the FCRA, 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( B ). Pursuant to Section 621 ( a ) ( 1 ) of the FCRA, 15 U.S.C. 1681s ( a ) ( 1 ), the acts and practices alleged above also constitute unfair or deceptive acts or practices in violation of Section 5 ( a ) of the FTC Act, 15 U.S.C. 45 ( a ). SPRINGLEAF CONSUMER is also a furnisher of inaccurate credit information and is just as liable as XXXX. A recorded statement from XXXX states that SPRINGLEAF CONSUMER is the one responsible for removing this information from my credit report. As it currently stands XXXX nor SPRINGLEAF CONSUMER has not validated or verified the accuracy of this inquiry. They also failed to remove the inquiry from my credit report after the two year statute of limitation. The following outdated inquiries are being furnished by SPRINGLEAF CONSUMER and are being reported by XXXX. This is a request as authorized by the FCRA 611 Procedure in case of disputed accuracy [ 15 U.S.C. 1681i ] This request is regarding the account listed below : Onemain This account has previously been reported on my credit file and was subsequently deleted after the item was disputed and could not be verified. On XXXX XXXX. I requested a copy of my credit report under my rights through the FACTA act. This item was not contained in my credit file on that date. On XXXX XXXX, after being denied credit for a home student based upon negative information being reported through XXXX and XXXX. I requested a second copy of my credit report under my rights to review my credit report after denial of credit. The account in question suddenly reappeared on the report dated XX/XX/2020. I immediately completed an online dispute for this account. In response to this dispute you sent me a letter dated XX/XX/2020 ( with confirmation number XXXX ). In this letter it stated that my investigation was completed and that you verified that this item belongs to me. I have two problems with the way reporting on this account has been handled by XXXX. First, according to my XX/XX/XXXX credit report, this item was reported in XXXX. Even giving you a very generous assumption that this item was reported to you on XXXX XXXX. I find it very difficult to believe that " additional information regarding this item '' sufficient enough to prove this is my account could have been provided to you by XX/XX/XXXX, only one day after the account was re-reported to you. Furthermore, I find it very odd that you're letter " verifying this account '' predates my dispute of this account. Additionally, you are in violation of FCRA 611 Procedure in case of disputed accuracy [ 15 U.S.C. 1681i ] for your failure to notify me in a timely manner of this tradeline being reinserted into my credit file. In accordance with the requirements of the FCRA as shown below, I am hereby requesting your complete compliance with any and all of the provisions as follows : 611. Procedure in case of disputed accuracy [ 15 U.S.C. 1681i ] ( : blink : ( i ) Certification of accuracy of information. If any information is deleted from a consumer 's file pursuant to subparagraph ( A ), the information may not be reinserted in the file by the consumer reporting agency unless the person who furnishes the information certifies that the information is complete and accurate. Ive, as an authorized 3rd party to the borrower, tried for 6 months or longer to get access to my online account to view my account history as I disputed the amount lender said I owed. To this date, I still dont have access. I talked with many reps but this one in customer care was far more than rude and didnt know her job or information to present to me correctly. She asked me to sign into a computer instead of on my mobile device. I did this but told her Ive already tried this but still got the same error. She said she was a different agent and just do what she said. I did, I still got same error. She was rude in continuing to ask me what error do I have, what am I doing or where am I at. All the time I was trying to sign into my email then my account. I told her the error and she said she cant help me unless I tell her the error Im getting. I told her at the time she asked, I didnt have an error message but as soon as I did, I let her know. She said well you didnt tell me the error. She was very rude and arrogant. She was pushy, overbearing and Ive never felt so mistreated. She then said she couldnt speak to me about this account because Im not the borrower and asked to speak with my husband ( the borrower ). He spoke to her as we were on speaker phone. She proceeded to bash me to my husband by saying I was getting upset of which I was because of her evil treatment toward me, and I spoke up and told her to proceed. She wouldnt or couldnt ( due to lack of knowledge ) and insisted on bashing me. My husband doesnt know much about computers or online access so I was trying to assist fun with his approval. Lender has discussed his account with me in detail throughout the duration of this loan but all of a sudden she cant discuss an online access problem because Im not the borrower? This seems sketchy to me! I followed the steps she instructed & still got the same error as Ive gotten the last 6 months or longer. Ive also been told we never signed up for online access but Rep informed me we did and she was going to delete that account access and asked me to set up a different one with different email address associated with the loan account. I did this & still got the same error. Instead of assisting me, she put me on hold for several minutes so I hung up and called right back but got a recording saying they were closed. I called another number and spoke with a very nice lady who mentioned she didnt know why XXXX told me she couldnt discuss the account because Im not the borrower. She saw where Im an authorized 3rd party. She took my complaint as well as gave me XXXX supervisors name. For some unknown reason Lender doesnt want us to have online access to our account history. In the past we have done ONE month deferments because we paid every 2 weeks instead of once a month at the beginning of this loan. So, if we signed for 1 month deferment thats what it was ONE MONTH of skipping a payment. In XXXX, we were offered a TWO Month deferment and assumed we would skip TWO MONTHS worth of payments. Nope, they tried to repo my vehicle and threatened me like I was a convict undeserving of assistance in a respectful, humanly manner! I cant get anywhere with this company! Ive had maybe 2-3 very nice reps but the majority are very rude, arrogant who talk down to customers leaving them feeling helpless, hopeless & not worthy of their time or assistance. I complained to XXXX and Lender sent all of my Loan docs which contains all my personal information to complete strangers ( XXXX ) without my consent but this one rep claims she cant discuss with me with my husband ( the borrower ) present on speaker phone. I feel my privacy has been violated, bullied & shamed for no reason. Will someone please help me resolve these many issues so I may sign into my account online and make my payments & view my account history? Thats all Ive been asking and I cant seem to achieve my requests. Im frustrated, mad & feel Lender has me in a corner of which I cant seem to escape. I applied for and prequailified a loan with OneMain Financial on XX/XX/20. I worked directly with a local office via phone. The local office asked me a series of questions, ran my credit and shortly thereafter called me back with 3 different offers and then told me to upload necessary documents like my paycheck stubs, and identity information, I uploaded those documents and then got a call from the office saying they were confused because my check stubs say that my boss is not paying my taxes, I said well to be clear I pay my taxes and so do you, we all pay our taxes, but your correct my boss does not take out taxes I am a 1099 employee, she said well I really don't know much about this please upload 18 more documents all around 6 pages per document. So I spent the day doing so. I then got a call the next day saying that they were wrong in saying that I qualify for a loan and that if my boss took out my taxes for me then I would have qualified. I told her that was very concerning and deceptive because my credit rating did not change from the day before when I qualified, my employment status had not changed since the day before when I qualified, my finances and income had not changed since the day before when I qualified, why does it matter who gives my taxes to the government? Whether I give the same money to the government or whether the company that I work for gives the same money to the government whats the difference? I work 40 hours a week minimum for the company that I work for, I work from XXXX like many other people do and I have multiple sources of income. The company that I work for and I have an agreement that I was retained at no less than 40 hours per week so the employment security is there probably more so than a staff employee. I am tired of lending company 's making those of us that are 1099 feel dirty and gritty just because of who sends our taxes to the IRS - the woman that I worked with had the audacity to say well I am sure there are other perks to being a 1099 - I wanted to say like what lady? Is that my consolation prize because I put the stamp on the envelope to the IRS vs a staff employee who lets their HR department put the stamp on the envelope to the IRS? She then alluded it's due to the government, wait what???? The government holds down 1099 XXXX XXXX and favors those slaves that work for large corporations?? I literally have to be a slave W2 staff employee or the government says that I am not worthy enough for a personal loan?? Yesterday with the same income, same credit, same job, I qualified for a {$12000.00} personal loan but today I don't because of who send my taxes off to the IRS? She said yes thats our deciding factor. I expressed how alarming and concerning that deciding factor is because that does not sound at all by letter of the law, the day before with no changes to their list of qualification I qualified at no time did anyone ask me who sends my taxes off to the IRS this was never a qualifying question in the application process and now I have taken a ding to my credit because you ran my credit fully knowing that one of your unspoken unasked qualifies was who send my taxes tot he IRS, the company that I work for or me, wouldn't that have been something that you should have asked me before you ran my credit and made me an offer? I pay the same amount of taxes as a 1099 or a W2, I work from XXXX, from XXXX XXXX so there is no difference who sends my taxes to the IRS She did not have an answer and I ended the call.

OneMain Financial is by far the worst company to deal with and try to resolve your account. Absolutely horrible experience in the last month in a half. I started trying to resolve this account on XX/XX/XXXX. I spoke with several people that all gave different information regarding my account. One young man set up modification payment and wasnt suppose to so another agent had to cancel future payments. Meaning I paid money towards modification that I wasnt supposed to do. So between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX i paid {$1900.00} to try and bring the account current that was showing me a balance of XXXX. I asked about settling since I paid so much and the agent said I should have said that at the beginning of the call. No the agent should have discussed all payment options that I had. At this time I asked about updating my credit report because they had not updated it since XX/XX/XXXX and the other credit bureau had XX/XX/XXXX. My last payment I made in XXXX was in XXXX. Nothing was updated. After my XX/XX/XXXX payments nothing was updated with the credit bureau. I spoke to a supervisor about my account showing past due for XXXX when I asked the agent on XX/XX/XXXX when was my next payment due and she said XXXX. She sent me a letter stating my account was current. The supervisor I spoke with XXXX gave me his number and said he'll research and send my info to the correct department and he'll make sure its handled. I called him back two days later because I hadn't heard anything after he said I should hear something the next day. I'm still waiting on XX/XX/XXXX for a response. I also spoke with someone in the credit reporting department and she told me my account would not be updated with the credit bureaus until after 2 weeks into the month of XXXX which is false information. The people so far in this complaint are all at an Arizona location. So I reached out to the corporate office the lady informed me that credit reporting should be updated by XX/XX/XXXX. Not the same info the last lady gave me. I reached out to corporate because I had been waiting on a settlement letter to be emailed and mailed out to me on XX/XX/XXXX. Never received the email or letter by Tuesday of the following week. Finally after reaching out an email was sent to me. I spoke to XXXX in the Executive Office of Customer Care and filed a complaint about everything I had experienced. She told me on Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX she would look into my complaint. I called back on Friday, XX/XX/XXXX she still hadn't looked into my complaint. Before speaking with her I paid my settlement and asked to speak to someone in the credit reporting department so i can get my report updated with correct info. They gave me XXXX 's number. She informs me that it takes 30 days to update the credit bureaus but I had already been told that they update at the end of each month. OneMain has been very uncooperative with me trying to pay out my account and get the correct info on my credit report. I asked them to remove this account or all the negative reporting since they clearly haven't been reporting anyway since XX/XX/XXXX. But now they cant or won't update my credit report to show accurate info in a timely manner. They are very unprofessional one agent told me he knew what he was doing because he has worked for OneMain for several years. I just want this company removed from my credit report.

I opened a loan with One Main Financial on XX/XX/XXXX. The loan officer misrepresented prepayment terms to me in order to coerce me into putting up my automobile as collateral. She convinced me to leave my 8 % auto loan with XXXX to reduce a cash loan with One Main from 35 % to 17.09 %, if I used the car as collateral. I stated it didn't make sense to me to do that and she told me if I did, I could refinance the car and call One Main for the auto pay off total and that way keep 17 % on the remaining balance instead of 35 %. I did this because she showed me the no pre-payment penalty clause. Two or three months after I signed the loan, I called to do this and another representative told me this was not possible. I was very angry and submitted a complaint to the OCCC in the State of TX to file a complaint against this fraud. One Main responded and agreed to reduce my interest from 17.09 % to 8 % because of the situation on XX/XX/XXXX. Since that date, One Main has refused to provide me an updated loan agreement and disclosure form as required by TILA. I spoke to a representative at One Main on the telephone on XX/XX/XXXX who confirmed my rate was not 8 % but 17.09 %. In a letter from the One Main Executive Office of Customer Care dated XX/XX/XXXX, they claim this was " misinformation, '' however, I continue to be usuriously charged. My payments continue to be the same at 8 % as they were at 17.09 %. These payments were calculated at 17.09 % and if they were correctly calculated at 8 % should be significantly less. I do not understand, nor do I have evidence by One Main, of what I am actually paying after this reduction. I am paying because of fear One Main will penalize me through default, collection actions, and/or negative credit reporting despite refusing to provide me updated terms and breakdowns and relying only on communications. Also, the original payment schedule on page one ( 1 ) of the One Main contracts directly contradicts itself in a subsequent extrapolation on page four ( 4 ), in the section entitled INTEREST BEARING LOAN, which states that the interest charged to the consumer is based against unpaid, principal balance. As a consumer, I interpret this to mean as I pay my loan, my principal balance decreases and each month. Therefore, as a consumer, I interpret that that my minimum payment should decrease monthly as my unpaid, principal balance also decreases. My payments were calculated, and remain calculated, according to the original term agreement and cash advance amount of {$34000.00} at 17.09 %. This repayment schedule was arrived at through a one-time, calculated lumped interest payment of {$18000.00} ( added to principal for a total payment of {$52000.00} ) divided across 66 months. It is not calculated against any decreasing unpaid, principal balance, which is a misrepresentation within the language of the origination contract. Again, I can not confirm my actual payment due based on 8 % interest as One Main refuses to provide updated contract terms and disclosures.

I took 2 predatory title loans out, both with the same company, OneMain Financial. The first loan was for approx. {$2000.00}. On my credit report, my first loan with OneMain opened XX/XX/XXXX. I paid about half ( {$1000.00} ) off, and then I needed money again, and they had been urging me to take another loan out, so I did, taking another {$1000.00} out. They had always been super nice to me, and I was good about keeping my payments on time. I took the second loan ( according to my credit report ) on XX/XX/XXXX. Looking at my credit report, they wrote the first loan off as the second loan would be a refinance since I still had an amount of XXXX still to pay. Everything was pretty good until I started to run into financial hardship, with my son being XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX which then took money away from me in XXXX XXXX. I suddenly could only afford basic things on my fixed social security income. That is when OneMain got really irrational, and then they started to call me multiple times a day and essentially harass me to pay back my debt. I told them multiple times that I could not make my payments anymore, and told them to repossess my car. I had a second car, so it didn't really matter. They kept on harassing me and harassing me until about XX/XX/XXXX. They would call as early as XXXX, and then as late as XXXX. They always harassed me by saying that if that I got my car repossessed ( like my wishes ) that it would destroy my credit. On the last few calls, they started to threaten legal actions ( civil lawsuit ) and that they would have the ability to garnish what little I already have. They finally stopped calling, like I said, in XX/XX/XXXX, to only find out that my account is closed apparently. I don't exactly know what this means, as they did send notification of that they were closing my account, I didn't know what they exactly did, until about a few months ago, when I looked harder at my credit reports, and OneMain closed the account with the remark " purchased by another lender ''. No other lender, or anyone, has notified me about my status. Now, I am trying to get rid of the car that has the lien on it, and I am trying to see who has the title, and my state BMV says that OneMain still has the title as a lienholder, even though my credit report says that they sold my account to another lender, and then OneMain also has closed my account clearly with them. No other lenders are showing on my credit report, only the ones that I know of. I am really confused, and when I try to access my online account with OneMain, they also say that I don't have any accounts with them. I don't know who to contact, and also I don't know how much my loan was sold for, or really anything.

On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a call from XXXX at One Main Financial offering a pre-approval in the amount {$1900.00}. She obtain information and had me unlock my credit report. Then scheduled me to come in at XXXX XXXX to close. When I arrived at the office, she stated that she forgot to send something for verification and advise that I was pre-approved for {$15000.00} which would pay off my existing loan first. She advised that underwriting was closed so she would have to call me tomorrow. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX advised that they would only accept a color copy of my social security. On XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted a request to XXXX via email asking that they accept my W2, IRS PIN letter, and passport to confirm my identity. I also submitted a complaint to their customer service line. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX finally called me back and stated that they agreed to accept those items. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX called to state that they were unable to proceed with the application because they were unable to verify my income. I submitted my most recent pay stub, and my XXXX W2. They did not request any additional items. Income verification is the easiest part of this process. I could have provided bank statement and given them by HR company contact information. She refuse to provide any additional information and stated that I would receive a letter. This feels like discrimination. I have an account with OneMain. I fell behind on this account. The company called me at work and at home. They harrassed me. I asked them finally to stop calling. I resumed paying this account in XXXX. I have made payments in XXXX and XXXX. In XXXX, I called the company. I spoke to a representative in the credit department at the company. I apologized for my loan being late. I told her that I was making regular payments. I asked the person if my credit report would be updated.. The person thanked me, said that she understood, and informed me that my report would be updated by the company to reflect the payments coming in. Instead, the company charged my loan off as a bad debt. I made another payment in XXXX and noticed no update to my report, until a review by me indentified the charge off. The company 's credit department refused to work with me. The explained that changing the report would be " dishonest '' even though I called them and started making payment again before the charge off. This is very bad business practice. I am asking for the company to change my report back to show that this account was behind, and that I am now making payments. The " charge-off '' should be removed from my credit report. As it stands, the only way I can rectify this matter now is to pay the loan in full which will cause me significant hardship. What is troubling is that I received two different responses. About 4 months ago I put my house up for sell I've owned for 20 years, and my title and escrow company advised me ( when I had a buyer, who backed out by the way ) that that creditor and/or it's 3rd party lawyer group by the name " XXXX XXXX '' has a lien on my property and their demand is for XXXX dollars! This can't be legal and they have cost me several buyers to come and go, not to mention putting me now into foreclosure, two modification processes through mortgage company, stress and severe hardship, and more! All the while before all of this I attempted contact just to try and verify or correct any wrong information about this creditor and they have ignored me completely making it impossible to remove the lien and continue with what has been a very important attempt to sell my property for personal and financial reasons! I had also contacted " American General Financial '' a lender that 14 years ago, I had a loan of only XXXX with XXXX down on a tou hauler and 9 out of the 12 months of payments. I voluntarily repoed a toy hauler to after having for only one year and they auctioned off a month or so later and sent a letter saying so and the auction price was for an additional XXXX on top of what I had paid. So by XXXX they said they had no record of me whatsoever, and also their name had changed and was no longer American General Finance. So this bogus lien, and an amount I've never borrowed is completely wrong and insane! So of course there was no way I could help myself finacially or benefit with an amount like XXXX ( as far as I was lead to believe anyway ) coming out of my potential equity of sell. I was approached by One Main Financial after completing an online application. I was told i was approved for {$6200.00} installment personal loan or {$11000.00} for a secured loan ( using my car ) i provided all documentation asked for right away. I was called at the end of the day and told that is was approved for the above amounts but my credit report had verbiage on the loan i was trying to refinance as a student loan. i called the company ( XXXX XXXX ) and sent documentation to show it was not a student loan. This company, One Main Financial is reporting inaccurate information to the credit reporting agencies. I asked them to investigate and send me proof in accordance of the FCBA I asked them to show me proof of what they are reporting, a signed contract, statements and a detailed billing histories. I sent the first validation request on XX/XX/XXXX and they did not respond at all. I sent another validation demand on XX/XX/XXXX and got a letter from them stating that they believe the reporting is accurate and will not investigate it any longer without sending me any of the proof that is required by Federal Law including a contract, statement or detailed billing history. So, I sent them another demand on XX/XX/XXXX asking them for their response but letting them know I wanted proof in accordance with the FCBA of their reporting of this account and again asked for a contract, statements or a detailed billing history. They did not respond within 45 days of that letter and continue to report inaccurate information on my credit report. The date open is different on all three bureaus, the date last reported is different on all three bureaus, the date of last activity is inaccurate and completely different on all three bureaus, The payment history is different on all three bureaus. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent them another letter demanding the account be deleted because they did not comply with the Federal Law ( FCBA ) by not sending the required documentation by law, the contract, statements or detailed billing histories and they STILL are reporting inaccurate and incomplete information that can not be verified. I would them to comply with the Federal Law which they have not several times otherwise delete this erroneous information from my credit report immediately.

One XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with XXXX XXXX of OneMain Financial about refinancing my existing loan account with his office. As someone with an impeccable payment history as a OneMain customer since XX/XX/XXXX, I had no reason to believe a " hard '' inquiry would be done into my XXXX and XXXX credit files nor did he make it clear to me that he was going to do so. In a recent review of my various credit reports, I noted that against my wishes and knowledge, on XX/XX/XXXX OneMain Financial did in fact make " hard '' inquiries into both of my files on XX/XX/XXXX. Earlier this week, I spoke with XXXX XXXX, my local OneMain Financial Branch Manager about this and he acknowledged the " misunderstanding '' and agreed to get the inquiries removed, once I faxed a formal request for this to his corporate offices, something I had already done several days before. When I called the corporate offices today, XX/XX/XXXX, to follow up on my request for deletion of the improper inquiries, I spoke with an extremely arrogant, condescending, bureaucrat of a woman who spoke very quickly and failed to provide her name to me clearly. While acknowledging that there had been numerous issues with OneMain branch offices giving out misleading information about " hard '' vs " soft '' inquiries to exsting OneMain customers, she stated that unless the inquiries were done fraudulently, OneMain was unwilling to delete them as a matter of corporate policy. Frankly, I know this is NOT the case as when I originally applied for my loan with OneMain Financial in XXXX of XXXX, numerous inquiries were made into my same credit files over two days and when I complained about this, the multiple inquiries were in fact deleted!

I became involuntarily unemployed on XX/XX/XXXX, approximately 2 werks after finalizing and receiving a personal loan. I did not anticipate being unemployed for very long so I did not file for unemployment until XX/XX/XXXX. I prepaid a couple payments with money that I had saved and from cashing out my for 401K. By XXXX I realized I would not be going back to work any time soon. I then applied for the unemployment protection that I had purchased on the personal loan. I was notified that they paid one payment, refunded {$180.00} but I received no phone call or letter explaining anything from One Main or the insurance company they use. BUT On Friday the XXXX of XXXX I called at approximately XXXX XXXX and left a voicemail about the continuing claim. At approximately XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, the office manager in the XXXX office of One Main Financial, called me back but apparently hadn't listened to the voicemail. However she informed me that the insurance company cancelled my coverage and refunded the balance of my premium after making XXXX 's payment. But XXXX did let me know they have a new program because of the Covid-19 situation to help their customers. All you have to do is run ANOTHER credit application and credit check to be approved for a temporary lower payment that COULD be as low as {$85.00} a month. On a temporary basis. So the only way they found to help customers is to try to force them into doing another credit application so they can maintain their sales quotas during this pandemic. This is unethical and taking advantage of people during a crisis.

I applied for the secured loan via website. After putting my income in the company pre approved me for a secured loan up to {$10000.00}. I then submitted my income and buyer order for the vehicle. The branch manager submitted my docs to underwriting and first contact was to ask for my last paystub of XXXX. This was not a reflection of my current income and I let them know that. I then provided them proof of my overtime allowance ( stub from XX/XX/XXXX ) and also proof of my wage increase. The next contact with XXXX the branch manager stated that they would not credit me for all my earned wages, and that they would approve me for a {$4000.00} loan based on income they calculated. I did the math and they were taking my income from the previous year, and not my current wages. From XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX I took home net pay of {$7000.00}, that would be a projected net income of {$84000.00} for XXXX. Instead XXXX the DM, and XXXX used old paystubs to determine a net monthy income of {$3500.00}. They said they needed an exception to give me credit for all my earned monthly wages in XXXX. I provided all that they asked and my income is in black and white, along with updates to something I was not responsible for on my credit report. One Main chose to make thier own figure up, count retroactive pay, and not give me credit for earned wages. Furthermore they denied my application, after XXXX the branch manager told me I was approved for a lesser amount. Due to the Coronavirus, I have not been able to stay on top of all my bills. I make sure that my mortgage and utilities are paid, that is a given. But for a company called One-Main Financial has been harassing me on my debt which I have been paying at a very high interest. I agreed to pay 70 % of the payment last month and then this month they wanted the whole thing, which I was unable to do. I gave them again 70 % of the payment and they will not quit calling me to question on why I am not paying. What I get is " You said you would pay the full amount on the XXXX of this month, last month '' I said yes, until the virus caused a shut down on everyone and now we are all unemployed '' She went on to say " You said you would pay on the XXXX!!! '' I told her that I couldn't and would try on the XXXX. I also told her how rude she was being and I was tired of her calling and harassing me during this time. Today is the XXXX and I did not have enough for the full payment of {$540.00}. But I paid {$270.00} again. They are now blowing up my phone again. I am at least making an attempt and since they are not making their interest that is 25 % I assume this is why they are freaking out and harassing me. I took a secured loan with OneMain Financial in XXXX, Nevada on XX/XX/2019. My vehicle was used to secure the loan. I was to receive a loan for {$10000.00}. The funds were to be deposited in my checking account the following day. When the funds were deposited I saw the deposit was for {$8800.00}. I called the OneMain office and was told that a loan origination fee for {$1200.00} had been deducted from the loan proceeds, for a whopping 13.79 % fee up front, on top of the 30 % interest rate. When completing the loan documents in their office it was all done electronically, no ink signatures. Simply put the OneMain attendant briefly reviewed the documents on a computer screen, and would advance from document to document. I would not have ever approved an outrageous {$1200.00} loan origination fee on a $ XXXX loan! Either that document wasn't there, or just as likely the attendant just advanced right by that document. OneMain never gave me any documents until I called them to complain, and the electronically signed documents were overnighted to me the next day. The are in violation of Nevada NRS 675.360.1 as applies to loan origination documents. I sent a registered letter of complaint to OneMain 's corporate office at XXXX. XXXX XXXX, XXXX OH, XXXX on XX/XX/. I received a call from their corporate office approximately a week later, they apologized for the confusion, and failure to provide me the loan documents, but they had no plans to waive the loan origination fee.

My husband has a title loan with One Main Financial. I am not on the loan account. My husband was in the hospital from XX/XX/XXXX through XXXX XXXX. While he was in the hospital our family had NO income. He had originally authorized automatic payments to be deducted from our joint checking account to pay this loan each month. Since our family could not pay the loan in XXXX i called One Main to explain the situation. They would not allow me to stop the automatic payment because i am not on the loan account. I called the CFPB and spoke with a woman who advised I write to One Main revoking authorization to take the payment out of our joint bank account. I wrote an email on XX/XX/XXXX but it was not 3 business days ahead of the withdrawal, and they took the money out of our account. Our checking account had a negative balance for 4 weeks after this. One Main did not deduct the payment for XXXX, however they did deduct the payment for XXXX. I called and spoke with someone in the One Main office who stated that my email was not received, then he said that it was only effective for one month, then he stated that my husband gave authorization to take payments out again, which he DID NOT. My email stated " As of today I am revoking authorization to take automatic payments out of our 'bank name ' account on file. On XX/XX/2019. I received a call from Springleaf financial and was advised that I had a past due payment. I thought they were referring to the payment that was due on XX/XX/2019. The representative that I spoke to advised me that I had a payment shortage from what was due for XXXX of an estimated amount of {$23.00}. I informed the rep. In XXXX of XXXX an Insurance sent a lump sum payment of {$2100.00} to One Main to for payment on a car that was totaled and used as collateral for my loan. When One Main applied the principal to the loan it only brought the loan amount due by the sum the insurance company paid in. I thought it would be reduced by that amount plus any interest that would be saved by not owing the {$2100.00} anymore. The manager informed me I had Precalulated Loan and they would not refund any unearned interest until the entire principal was paid. I continued making the monthly payments and decided I would call One Main to see how much interest I would be getting back as I knew the principal would be paid in full soon. I was then told that they do not refund the interest as they do not negotiate the note. I paid the loan off in full XX/XX/XXXX. I computed what I owed in total payments up to XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$5600.00}. In actuality I paid them {$8000.00}, which is an over payment of {$2400.00}. I made my regular schedule payment and paid what they computed final principal balance of {$600.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. It is unfair they had use of the money and still treated it like it was due and payable and the interest should be paid on it. I perceive it to be unearned interest which should have been refunded once my principal was paid in full.

I applied for a loan through One Main Financial online. I was contacted on XX/XX/2020 by email and by phone by a person named XXXX who told me I was approved for a loan of {$2500.00}. She told me I needed to come in to the XXXX Branch office to complete the paperwork and that I would receive a check at that time. I went into the office today, XX/XX/2020. XXXX took all my paper work to make copies including my license and a voided check. She had trouble verifying the check even though everything I submitted was valid. After 20 minutes she returned to the office where I had been waiting and pretty much accused me of committing identity fraud. She kept telling me that I entered the wrong Social Security number on my application and she also stated that they pulled someone else 's credit because of me. I left the office humiliated, thinking I must have made the mistake, feeling ashamed and stupid. When I got home I checked my credit report and found out that XXXX or another person, acting as an agent of One Main Financial, had in fact pulled a hard inquiry on my credit report on XX/XX/2020. On XX/XX/2019 I applied for a personal loan and was approved for XXXX pending verification. I provided all necessary verification and met all the requirement of the company. However when the lady processing the loan she processed it as an auto purchase loan and only upriver for that amount. I did not ask for the loan to purchase the vehicle I asked for a personal loan and used a vehicle to secure it. Florida having electronic titles means all I have to do is file the lien application for them and it has my tag number on that so it made it proof of registration as they requested they would have made me pay to file the lien anyways before they gave me the loan so I just saved my self one step. I have been battling XXXX for 2 years while caring for a baby as a single mother. Took out a second loan approx XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX at the time and now is under One Main Finance Account Number XXXX. I went to pay this loan off on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of XXXX via an electronic payment that was accepted. on XX/XX/XXXX it showed I still owed XXXX that was then paid via electronic payment. on XX/XX/XXXX it showed I owed XXXX which I made another payment of XXXX dollars since I had deferred interest on the loan in the amount of XXXX which was payed via a phone payment on XX/XX/XXXX and taken out of my account on XX/XX/XXXX. Last year in XXXX and XXXX I asked onemain for a payment relief they approved and I accepted and now they have yet to provide what they offered and they are ranking up fees. I feel that Onemain is a predatory lending company who deceived me financially by using what equity I had in my truck at the time and gave me a high interest rate of 22 %. I have been paying on this loan and in one year they are making {$6800.00} add that up in two years thats {$13000.00} and still my balanced owed hasnt moved down a notch. They refinanced my truck upto 21k and they are making one heck of a profit off of me. I cant afford to make high payments with a such a high rate I have emailed the main office and no answer. I want the interest and payments to go down this isnt affordable and this is taken money from people. This is highway robbery and taken advantage of consumers. I have read several other reviews that this has happened to many others. Why isnt the CFPB doing anything about companies doing such and how can they be in business. One XX/XX/XXXX when signing the original loan documents papers with Onemain Financial. During the signing process the loan representative changed the original loan documents causing the original loan approval to be deleted. The loan representative keep trying to get the loan reapproved but his actions resulted in multiple hard credit inquires and letters that the loan was declined. I was finally able to sign for the loan on XX/XX/XXXX. I called XXXX but was told that I need to file a police report and send them a copy of the report. They refused to open a dispute. I mailed a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX to Onemain Financial disputing the multiple hard inquiries. I confirmed, by phone, that the letter was received on XX/XX/XXXX. Their response was to send me letter why my loan was turned down instead of investigating the issue. I have made several calls to get a update on my dispute but only receive a run around. My last contact with Onemain Financial was on XX/XX/XXXX. I was told that my file was given to someone who was investigating the dispute and finished it XX/XX/XXXX. I decided to dig a little deeper into reviews of this company and found 100s of complaints of this exact behavior ( see attached image XXXX ). The story is the same each time ; the company lures prospective borrowers with promises of easy terms, then after capturing the applicant 's data, OMF offers completely different product. Now, I don't know if this would be considered a bait & switch scheme, but it's certainly misleading, damaging to applicants, and hopefully illegal.

I took out a personal loan in person with One Main Financial in XX/XX/2016. 36 month loan. Personal unsecured loan for {$2500.00}. They required me to have XXXX XXXX and XXXX. I lost my job XX/XX/2016, but continued to make the payment, after several months I became behind. I reached out to them several times in hopes of help. I asked about the XXXX XXXX, and they told me I didnt qualify, even though I had been paying for the product the entire time. I also signed the papers in person with an ink pen! I secured a personal loan with One Main Financial in XX/XX/XXXX. I used my XXXX XXXX XXXX as collateral. I had full coverage on my vehicle at the time I first got the loan and I still have full coverage on my vehicle. I use my grace period each and every month to pay my insurance. I have another vehicle that's insured with XXXX and I use my grace period with them too each and every month. I guess, when I'm late, but within my grace period, my insurance must have notified One Main Financial. My insurance has never lapsed, my registration is always up to date ; but I don't understand why One Main Financial is always harassing me about their XXXX insurance that they want to force on me. My monthly payment is XXXX, do you know what that would come up to XXXX, I can't afford that and One Main Financial can not have my truck. I've never been late with my payments, that are due on the XXXX of every month. I applied online for a personal loan, and received an email stating I was approved. I had contacted One main XXXX Fl in XXXX due to the effects of the covid 19. I unfortunately suffered a set back as my company released me due to the pandemic. I asked them to take me off of direct pay because i had no income and could not afford to make the payments on the two loans i have on the dates they were scheduled to be drafted. They directed me to thier website where i was able to do it myself. They then called me every couple of days to check on thier payments and i explained to them that i am working on trying to gain reemployment but its very hard at this time. I mailed a check on XX/XX/2020, from XXXX XXXX XXXX to One Main Financial in the amount of {$6000.00} using their payment envelope to their XXXX, OH address. I wrote my account number on the check before mailing it to One Main although the photocopy of the checks ( made at the bank does not include the account number on the check ). One Main has not applied the payment to my account as of XX/XX/2020. So to avoid any late fees or negative credit ratings, I made an additional payment this evening online, XX/XX/2020, for {$170.00}. One Main does not apply my payments to my account unless I physically enter one of their branches. On XX/XX/2019 I went on to the XXXX XXXX website to see about loans that I could be eligible for. On the website it indicated that I could check for rates without hurting my credit score, that a soft pull would be done. I entered the last four of my social security number with the understanding that hard pull would not be done on my credit report. XXXX XXXX then provided me with several lenders that would be willing to give me a loan and listed terms so that I could so that I could choose the lender that I wanted. I then got an email from XXXX indicating that OneMain Financial put a credit inquiry on my XXXX credit report ; however, I did not request any thing from OneMain Financial. I ended up taking a loan from another lender but I never even looked into taking out a loan with One Main Financial. They did not have permission to pull my credit, I did not fill out any applications with them, and I did not request any additional information from them so they should not have pulled my credit.

On yesterday, XX/XX/XXXX, I received the results of a dispute I submitted with XXXX where I asked the repository to check with OneMain Financial regarding the accuracy of their reporting regarding an account I settled with the lender back in XX/XX/XXXX. The terms of the settlement which was procured by the attorney 's office representing the lender ( XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX ) stated upon receipt of the agreed-upon settlement amount, the account would be deemed paid in full. However, OneMain has not maintained the agreement and has continued reporting to the consumer credit reporting bureaus that I owe them {$1200.00} ( which is the amount they waived when agreeing to the settlement ). I am asking for this tradeline to be reported accurately ( either deleted or reported as a XXXX dollar balance owed ). I have upheld my side of the agreement and I am only asking for OneMain Financial to do the same. There is no outstanding balance and I have no further obligation with the lender.

Hello CFPB Complaints Team, It was brought to my attention the disadvantage One Main Financials have created. Due to medical hardship and direct family obligations, I had to take a personal loan from One Main starting XX/XX/2017. Whenever unable to make ends meet by paying other financial obligations for relatives, I would contact One Main. Currently I have a 60 month plan - paying $ XXXX/month. This totals to = {$18000.00}. As reported on my credit report the principal of {$9400.00} is projected to equal or meet the finance charge assed by maturity. ( {$8900.00} ) Why is there a company compounding interest in such a matter? The debt to income crisis will continue under such leadership. Ive tried to refinance with One Main recently in hopes of lower my monthly income. Instead they offered another withdrawal. Currently have not missed a payment since 2017 and paid close to the full principle. There is immense pressure to cover these inflated expenses.

XXXX XXXX sent me a notice that an unsecured loan for debt consolidation my improve my credit, and recommended the product by One Main Financial. When I began the application I asked for the amount suggested. Suddenly they were processing an application where my brand new truck was the collateral. When I asked them to cancel the application, they sent me a denial letter stating I didn't have a mortgage. 1. I had a 30 year mortgage. 2. We paid it off last year 15 years early. 3. They have yet to fix the overdraft charges they caused by running a check on the wrong account. They did not look at the check they had. Went to location in XXXX KS, made the payment with a check. The person did not look at the check in there hands, and used my other account instead of the one that they had the check for. This caused me to accure overdraft charges since it was not supposed to come out of that account. Talked to the person and took in the check to show them there error and was just brushed off. Also called corporate office and was basically brushed off there. I am going to be paying off the account but don't want to because they owe me money for their mistake. In 2018 I was put on a hardship program for a reduced interest amount and payment amount at one main financial. I asked to change my payment withdrawal date and due date from the XXXX to the XXXX of each month. They agreed to {$78.00} a month drafted the XXXX of each month. They neglected to tell me my due date was never changed so I received a late fee plus daily interest charges for they payment being late. They set up the payment withdrawals dates and a year later plus they finally told me I was being charged late fees. Overtime I received invitations from OneMain Financial to apply for a loan. Many communications have stated that I was prequalified. On XX/XX/2020 I applied online for a loan with OneMain Financial and received an email stating that I was approved, based on verification of my identity, address, and monthly income. I verified this information online and over the phone with a local representative. I also provided a copy of my drivers license showing the photo as requested. During a phone call around XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX to One Main Financial to update payment information, a rep XXXX from the company answered the phone heard my initial call and immediately divulged my FULL NAME AND BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION. The bank OneMain Financial Group, LLC NMLS # XXXX had a link on my XXXX XXXX account stating that I was prequalified for a unsecured $ XXXX at a high apr of 21 % of which Im sad to say I was willing to accept due to my legal fees that I have to pay for issues concerning problems with my ex-wife. Anyway I fill out the application and it says Im approved. Upon reading the terms it now states that the rate is 25 % and a secured loan and they need my all the information concerning my motor vehicle, insurance and drivers license. I refinanced a personal loan that I had with OneMain Financial in XX/XX/XXXX. I have made timely payments since that time. The initial payment on the loan was due and paid on XX/XX/XXXX. The amount of payment credited to principal reduction was about {$110.00}. This amount increased to about {$150.00} over the next several payments. Recently I noticed that with my XX/XX/XXXX payment only {$55.00} was applied toward principal. With my XX/XX/XXXX payment the amount applied to principal was {$160.00} which is consistent with the statements prior to XX/XX/XXXX. I discovered that OneMain Financial ran an authorized credit report on XXXX XXXX, 2019 without permissible purpose. I sent OneMain Financial a certified letter on XXXX2019 requesting to contact XXXX, XXXX, & XXXX immediately and have this inquiry deleted from my credit report file. Today, XX/XX/XXXX I called in to speak to my "Assigned Rep" for a personal loan I applied for online first with this company. In speaking to the rep named, XXXX XXXX, she denied me the opportunity to submit my application to underwriting where they can review my credit and income documents. She said "you are denied and you are wasting your time" and kept insisting I use a vehicle or some other sort of collateral instead. I again mentioned that I would like to proceed with my application for the personal loan since you pulled a hard inquiry on my credit and she did not allow me any opportunity to move forward on my application and denied me the opportunity to review any of my income documents or anything else. I was tricked into taking out this equity loan years ago and now I'm sure I've paid 3x the amount of the loan which was $ XXXX. They ran a credit check and made me an offer. Several times, I notified OneMain Financial about this account. I emailed the President/CEO of the company and VP to request to have this account removed from my credit report.
