I decided to get a XXXX certificate from a XXXX school. I decided on this route to get hands on training and classes focused on my certificate. I attended XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, Ga. The closer I got to finishing my program I realized the school was n't so professional. It was too late I already signed and received a loan from South Carolina Student Loans to pay for my school. When I signed up for the loan according to paperwork with the school I would receive a laptop and assistance with transportation and housing. I did n't receive anything. I caught the bus on my expense and continued to pay rent living with friends to maintain a place to stay while in school. Two weeks before my XXXX I found out I was XXXX. I had to sit out a week ( was supposed to be 2 but I could n't afford to mess up my progress in school ) due to the XXXX I had to undergo to XXXX. When I returned to school with a doctors note and I explained to program director, teacher, and school staff my situation I was allowed to make up work, days were excused, and I was back on track. Day I supposed to went in to get information for XXXX there was n't any information. The school then said I missed 5 days and even with my makeup work I could n't not attend XXXX. A week later I received a call stating I could when a site became available. I begin to research with other classmates and associates and I was n't the only one who could n't finish XXXX due to there not being a site available. While waiting on a site I begin to contact my student loan company because I felt the school had scammed the company and myself. The agents I continually spoke with said it was nothing they could do I would have to speak with the school. These back and forth conversations with the school and the loan company continued. Abruptly the school shut down and did not open back up. I contacted staff from the school to get records paperwork and anything I may need and did not have any luck. I was sent on the run around for years. I contacted many agencies and everyone pretty much turned me down because it was a private student loan. I turned to the student loan company to see what type of actions I needed to take against the school. From my research I was not the first and not the last in the same situation from the same school. The loan company did not even want to hear what I had to say. I would get responses that said I had a cosigner so pretty much I was good because my mom could help with the bill. It is now 2017 and I am still paying on a student loan from 9 years ago from a program I could not complete because it apparently was not a real program since no XXXX were available once completing class work. This is a loan that is not only putting me in a financial bind but my mother as well since she cosigned under the assumption I would receive a financial aid check back, a laptop, and assistance with transportation and housing. I did not receive anything but a small check back and down the line found out the school cashed and kept remaining balances. I truly feel that a loan company for education should have students sides when dealing with schools that are indeed well hid scams. The loan agents have never offered me a supervisor a different department or any type of help in this matter. The loan company would have been able to get the funds back from the school quicker than I could have especially before the school closed and I alerted them of this issue soon as the school said XXXX werent available. I am unable to get proof of attending or of any class completed. As a consumer and being a young consumer at the time I feel as if the company should have helped when I first alerted them we both had been scammed.

I was called by the South Carolina Student Loan in XXXX, SC XX/XX/XXXX. The representative name was XXXX. When we talked XX/XX/XXXX, I stated to her that I had a lawyer that was consolidating all of my loans ( private and federal ) no where in the conversation did she state that private loans could not be consolidated. My lawyer had told me prior to me and her talking that private loan companies will tell you that because it is more work to consolidate private loans than federal loans. Nevertheless, when XXXX and I talked, I stated that I would TRY and make a payment on XX/XX/ of {$44.00} until my lawyer gets all my consolidation paper done. She said okay and that was the end of the conversation. So today ( XXXX XXXX, 2016 ) XXXX calls again and said that I did n't make a payment on XXXX XXXX and I needed to make a payment today. I told her I did n't have the money to make the payment today and she went in defense mood after that. She became very argumentative. I reminded her that I told her in our previous conversation that all my loans were getting consolidated. She then stated that private loans could not get consolidated and she told me that in the previous conversation over the phone. I said no ma'am you did n't and I even recommended her to pull the phone call because all calls are recorded. She dismiss what I said saying no she told me in the previous conversation about all of that and I needed to make a payment today. Do to the fact that I will not go back and forth with a representative that is suppose to be acting in a professional manner at all times, I then told her I wanted to talk to someone else over her to resolve the issue. At first she told me that her supervisor was not in and I had to wait until they called me back and I did not accept that because I know there is a supervisor over you that is working today. She then put me on hold and transferred me to some one that said he was the vice president. So when he ask me what was wrong I asked did she not tell you but I would be happy to tell you what is going on and why I want to complain and speak with someone else. He interrupted me in the middle of my sentence stated that I was calling him a liar because I said she had told him was the issue was. I said no but he became very argumentative towards me also. When I got a chance to talk I tried telling him what the issue was but he was n't trying to here it he said it was in the notes what she said and I then asked for the call to be pulled because I would like to hear it and he continued to not listen to what I had to say. Now, I it was in the notes why did n't the rep tell me this her self instead of fussing a me telling me she know what she said. He continue to get loud with me stating it was in the notes and I 'm saying no sir it is not. Then he hangs up in my face. I was not asked when could I make the payment nor was the issue taken care of. Not that I 'm not trying to pay, I just recently made a payment on XXXX XXXX of {$130.00} and I was not able to do the other payment that I said would TRY to make. I feel I was not heard on this call and my considerations was not taken in to count.

This is a written dispute regarding a previous credit card account that reported me 30-days past due for one month 's charges. My recent credit bureau score report labeled 'Account 30 days past due ' that I am requesting to be reviewed and expunged. XXXX XXXX & XXXX : 30 days past due in XXXX 2013. This account was a part of my college loan package. Quarterly payments were made. There was miscommunication as to a late fee accrued of {$6.00}. I had spoken to them at that time regarding this late fee and avoiding being reported to the credit bureau. Large amounts of loan payments had been consistently made, I was not aware of the {$6.00} fee that was apparently accrued. The billing services did supposedly remove this fee at time of the quarterly payment, which was paid in full represented by the statement at that time. They did not subsequently remove the late notice and the time continued to accumulate, even though the quarterly statement was paid. They of course retained the idea they were not responsible for this error and unwilling to entertain any modification. The account was paid off and closed very soon thereafter. This is a perfect example of why millions of college students progress into more debt, dealing with loan companies with irresponsible behavior and now involving wasted work time and money of submitting a complaint. I did speak to this company directly, as well as submitting a complaint through the credit score bureau, neither of which providing benefit.

In XX/XX/XXXX, I began to inquire about loan forgiveness. Not once did anyone inform me of T he PSLF Program. The only program I was told about was the XXXX XXXX Forgiveness Lrogram. Well, I applied only to be told I didn't/do n't qualify due to the original date of my loan. Of course, I tried more than once both on paper and by phone, but not once did anyone tell me about The PSLF Program. It was not until XX/XX/XXXX that a representative informed me of The PSLF Program. I immediately completed my paperwork to consolidate my loans to take advantage of loan forgiveness. At the time, I did not know the program was introduced in XX/XX/XXXX, eight years prior. I often think about how I could be nearing the end of my 120 payments, and I get upset. I have since voiced my concerns with XXXX XXXX XXXX, and the rep told me many servicers were not well versed with the subject. I do not feel I should have to suffer due to misinformed or uninformed customer service reps. I have not contacted the original servicer, SC Student Loan Corporation, but I will. Also, any assistance that can be provided will be greatly appreciated.

This is a private XXXX 's Loan from SC XXXX XXXXs Student loan, obtained when all funds were exhausted in XXXX while I was in College studying to become a XXXX. I moved out of SC and had been paying on the loan until losing employment. The loan was placed into either forbearance or Deferment sometime ago but when this expired, I called the private XXXX 's student loan, to request some assistance with making payments. Was told that there were no options, as this was not a normal/Federal Student loan. They would not even accept or approve my request for a Hardship consideration, and told me in XXXX, my loan was sold to a collection agency, and not to send any payments to them. XXXXWas just contacted yesterday via letter by SC private student loan , threatening to garnish any wages that I have or seize any taxes that our family receives.

My name is XXXX XXXX, and I am sending this request myself to address the inaccuracies on my Credit Reports. I have a loan with SC STUDNTLN. I have always made my payments on time. For some reason, I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report. As you can see, I have always had a terrific payment record with this company. I tried contacting the XXXX Credit Bureau with no successful resolution. There was definitely an error on their part. Investigate and update the current status to reflect accurately. I've been trying to dispute matters with the student loans XXXX, SC State and XXXX inaccurately reporting late payments. This been going on since XX/XX/XXXX. They keep saying they don't have any late payments and I've been clearly sending them reports showing all the XXXX day late 's and its hurting my credit really bad. I had Covid-19 this year and it affected me tremendously but then I also had my loans consolidated recently. They are just reporting inaccurate information on my credit report and it has to stop. By law I have rights and they are abusing the credit law 15 U.S. Code 1666 ( b ). I need all those late payments removed from XXXX from XXXX, SC State and XXXX because this is inaccurate information.

I completed my MEd in 2015. Upon graduating, I consolidated all of my loans during my grace period. However, when I filed my taxes, my entire refund ( over {$8400.00} ) was offset for defaulted student loans. When I consolidated my loans, several loans were omitted from the consolidation. No one has ever given me a straight answer on why all of the loans were not consolidated as I requested ( as there is no such thing as a partial consolidation that I am aware of ). Since then, I have re-consolidated and have been repaying on time. My servicers at the time were XXXX and SC Student loan. The SC Student loans were the ones that were not included in the consolidation.

. In XXXX of 2014 I called in to my student load holder and found out that my loans were in default. I then was set up on a payment agreement over my schedule payment to bring my loans out of default after 6 months. After completion of the 6 months my loans remain in default. I was then told until I repay the past due balance I would remain in default. My only option now is to increase my payments again over my loan payment. I want to continue to pay my student loans as agreed and not have it effect me negatively while continuing to pay. I am not looking for a way out of paying loans but to bring my loans out of default status.

My loan was broken up into XXXX loans ( loan A and loan B ). I paid faithfully for months yet loan A was never paid off. They kept my balance at a low amount so that they could continue charging interest on loan A. While I thought I paid loan A off months ago, I signed into my account and noticed that it was never paid off. Upon speaking with a representative, I was informed my payments began being applied towards loan B and I would have to send a separate payment for the exact amount to pay off loan A. No one ever informed me of that, instead they continued charging interest.

Please see the attached letter regarding the account that is not mine due to identity theft. I have filed all of the necessary forms including the FTC online form and affidavit. This is all equivalent to a police report as well. This is my second request to you to remove these fraudulent accounts from all three of the credit bureaus before I take legal action. Send the validation of these accounts as well with your response back to this complaint. I want the account name, account balance, past due amount, and date of last activity verified and provided to me as well.

Payments are too high. Needed the loans to attend college. Wish to pay back but need lower payments. SC Student Loan charging a 9 % interest rate which is way higher than the market and will not negotiate to lower the rate or spread out the payments.
