I have been renting a townhouse at XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX since the summer of XXXX with my then XXXX year old child. Since, XX/XX/XXXX the premises have been infested with fleas. The XXXX XXXX office was notified promptly on XX/XX/XXXX of the issue. It took me following up with the office staff twice per day after reporting the problem just to get an exterminator to come to assess the situation on XX/XX/XXXX. After the assessment, the rude and unhelpful XXXX had the exterminator scheduled to come out to do the first treatment on XX/XX/XXXX, knowing that the time was of the essence and that the unit was uninhabitable. I had to insist on the exterminator to come out sooner, so XXXX came out on XX/XX/XXXX to do the first treatment. During the assessment visit by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, I was given a guarantee by him that the problem will be fixed after the first treatment. Well, the problem didnt go away after the first treatment on XX/XX/XXXX. I reported to the office again and XXXX came out again on XX/XX/XXXX to do a second treatment. And again, the problem did not go away. I contacted the office and emailed XXXX XXXX on multiple occasions after that, however, have not gotten any acknowledgement or a reply. I had no choice but to hire a private exterminator, that had come out on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX to treat the premises. In the meantime, the unit hasnt been occupied by me, my son and our cat since XX/XX/XXXX, because its UNINHABITABLE. The landlord has breached the lease agreement ( item XXXX, last paragraph ), by leaving the property in uninhabitable condition, but still requiring full rent. ALL RENT WAS WITHHELD, UNTIL PROBLEM RESOLVED. I requested that they repair these conditions immediately. Neither I, nor anyone on the premises with my permission, caused this problem. I also reserved all legal rights and remedies with regard to this situation. XXXX XXXX failed to cure the issue, but instead filed an eviction against me on XX/XX/XXXX. At that point I hired legal representation to represent me and my legal rights. The eviction was dropped because I moved the rest of my belongings on XX/XX/XXXX. Now Sklar Law LLC, is coming after me for the debt that they say I owe to XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$4500.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX I replied to Sklar Law letting them know that I dispute the debt and reasons why. In return on XX/XX/XXXX they sent me a one page summary of charges, stating that it's a debt validation. Sklar Law, LLC did not research the issue and problem, as to the reasons why the rent was not paid for XXXX and XXXX of XXXX.

Received a call from XXXX Sklar Law and looked up the company XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, New Jersey XXXX : XXXX Fax : XXXX A women stated she was from the law firm and I have a bill of {$2900.00}. from XXXX and she wanted to set up a plan for payments. I asked her who the company was and she said XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( I think ) and something else and I said I don't know who they are. She then replied that I received a compression device and she would send me an email with the information. I told her I have insurance and she replied that they didn't submit the bill to insurance. I replied " I was told by my insurance that I do not owe anything ''. She then said " first you said you don't know who they are and now you say you don't owe anything ''. I replied again and asked her the date again, which she said the entire date in XXXX and I advised her that I had many bills from that procedure and called the insurance and they called the provider in which they admitted that I do not owe anything and the conversations has been recorded and that's how I know. I also told her not to try to get cute with me and she then said " we will see you in court '' and hung up. As she was trying to catch me in a lie, she lied by saying they didn't send the bill to insurance but also asked for the Explanation of Benefits. Please note : I have never received a bill from this company and no calls from the provider so, I do not know why it would go to collections after more than 3 years when they never tired to collect. Also, they could have at least tried to put in a claim in with the insurance. So, after one call, they threaten to take me to court? Therefore, it appears to be a scam. I have called my insurance company as well.

On XX/XX/2020, I received a letter from Sklar Law stating that my wages are going to be garnished. The was no reason given, no prior notification regarding the debt. I did not receive any invoices, documentation of money owed or any other notifications relating to this debt. They added in this letter the name and address of my employer which I found extremely alarming. Also, the date of this letter was XX/XX/2020 stating I had ten days to respond. However, this document was mailed out after the date my response was required. I mailed a letter to Sklar Law and Superior Court certified return receipt requesting documentation relating to this debt and Sklar refused. His response to my request to provide proof was to call his office. However, I do not want to speak on the phone, I want everything documented. I am apprehensive asto whether this debt is fictitious. lso I'm inquisitive as to why the are hiding all information pertaining to threats of taking money from my paycheck. Most of all Sklar Law transferred my case from XXXX county Court to XXXX county Court for garnishment without notifying me I found out when I called the court and XXXX the court clerk said it was transferred to XXXX XXXX XXXX county. I called his office and his assistant refused to provide me any information. Why are they withholding information as to why they are switching my case to various courts to take money from me without my knowledge.

No court showed any judgments. Judgment was removed off credit report on XXXX XXXX. I did n't even know a judgment existed! Was never even notified! They wiped out my bank account and took 100 % of my money. I was on a payment plan with Sklar Law. I had a baby and told them due to FMLA, it was not paid. I contacted them in XXXX XXXX and temporarily stopped my repay plan with them agreeing i would return. In XXXX XXXX, i went back to work and called to restart my repay plan. They denied and hung up on me. I called in XX/XX/XXXX, same issue, they denied to restart my repay. Never told me anything on any judgment, nor did i ever get any mail. i hired XXXX to help my credit, then all of a sudden, Sklar Law took my money a few months later. I called again on XXXX XXXX, XXXX and was cursed at and huung up on 7 times! I called the court administrator and she said they never told her i was on a repay plan. After numerous calls, they finally admitted that i was on a repay and stopped it. The court administrator supervisor said she was going to call me. Due to XXXX, i had to leave the apartment complex i was in.

I was a student at the XXXX XXXX in XXXX New Jersey from XX/XX/XXXX to some time in XX/XX/XXXX. Upon removing myself from the course I was told my personal loan was able to be returned to the creditor in full and I would only be responsible for the federal loan portion of {$1000.00}. The XXXX closed due to Covid 19 in XX/XX/XXXX and I am now being sued for {$5400.00} and it appears as if the personal loan was never returned like I was told it was. I cant even contact anyone associated with the XXXX because they are closed and all redirections to obtain my files are now defunct. The company who has now obtained this debt is XXXX XXXX.
