XXXX XXXX at Sharpe mortgage did not comply with the fair housing act, specifically the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission ( EEOC ) regarding sexual orientation. He denied me simply because I could not answer specific questions regarding my husbands credit profile. I asked him to contact him directly, but he refused and stated that he could not help me and did not believe who I was even though my best friend ( former customer of XXXX 's ) referred me to XXXX XXXX himself. Also, he made comments regarding my character regarding my identity. He received all the required documents he requested but refused to help me based on personal reasons. I also think since my husband and I are XXXX he refused to assist us. I was pre-approved within 3 hours by another mortgage broker at a different company after receiving his decline letter via email he sent the same day.
