Fair Credit Reporting Act 609 Disclosures to consumers : ( c ) ( 2 ) ( E ) : A consumer reporting agency is not required to remove accurate derogatory information from a consumer 's file, unless the information is outdated under section 605 or can not be verified.
Fair Credit Reporting Act 611 ( a ) 1 ( A ) Procedure in case of disputed accuracy : ( a ) Reinvestigations of Disputed Information ( 1 ) Reinvestigation Required ( A ) In general. Subject to subsection ( f ), if the completeness or accuracy of any item of information contained in a consumer 's file at a consumer reporting agency is disputed by the consumer and the consumer notifies the agency directly, or indirectly through a reseller, of such dispute, the agency shall, free of charge, conduct a reasonable reinvestigation to determine whether the disputed information is inaccurate and record the current status of the disputed information, or delete the item from the file in accordance with paragraph ( 5 ), before the end of the 30-day period beginning on the date on which the agency receives the notice of the dispute from the consumer or reseller.
Fair Debt Collection Practices Act Section 809. Validation of debts : ( b ) If the consumer notifies the debt collector in writing within the thirty-day period described in subsection ( a ) that the debt, or any portion thereof, is disputed, or that the consumer requests the name and address of the original creditor, the debt collector shall cease collection of the debt, or any disputed portion thereof, until the debt collector obtains verification of the debt or any copy of a judgment, or the name and address of the original creditor, and a copy of such verification or judgment, or name and address of the original creditor, is mailed to the consumer by the debt collector.
According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Section 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ), your company is required by federal law to verify - through the physical verification of the original signed certified consumer contract - of any and all accounts you request to be posted and or reported on a credit report.
I demand to see a copy of the Verifiable, Validated Proof ( an original Consumer Contract with a wet-ink Signature on it, copies of copies are not Validation and by Law are not considered proof ), that you have on file for the account listed above.
Under the FCRA, unverified, invalid accounts must be removed.
If you are unable to provide the me with a copy of the verifiable/validated proof that you have on file within 30 calendar days from receipt of this notice, for the account listed above then you must at once remove the account from ( Your Name ) credit reports. I demand the account be verified or removed immediately!
The law is very clear as to the Civil liability and the remedy available to me for the " negligent noncompliance '' ( Section 617 ) if you fail to comply with this Federal Law.

The company advertised that they would help build my credit quickly by loaning money to myself. I was suppose to make a payment every month and at the end i would get money back. I never borrowed money from them it was suppose to be a savings plan and they said they would report only good credit. My credit report went done XXXX points immediately first month after they reported me late because I enter the wrong bank information for direct payment. I never seen anything that said they would report you bad and their false & misleading advertisements doesn't say we will report you for bad credit not just good credit. It's very misleading and completely unfair! I was loaning money to myself, I never borrowed a XXXX from this company and I don't feel they should be able to this to people. For a year I had already been disputing false information off my credit report because it was destroyed by fraud. All the work i had done and everything i had accomplished fixing my credit report this company destroyed in XXXX minutes. I asked to close account, they didn't and reported me late again because I quit making the payments. They actual tried to tell me they raised my score. No I don't think so! It went up from fraud account dispute being removed. On my report they are now the only late payments I have on my credit and it's most recent and looks bad. This has caused me major financial hardship! It is just not right that a company you don't owe money to and was suppose to help you build credit would just destroy someone like that. I've disputed and pleaded with them several times and they refuse to fix the false unfair report on my credit. I can't even get a business loan, credit card, car or anything and it's gon na be on my report for XXXX years ... .. Sad!!

I took a {$550.00} credit builder loan from selflender, in the form of the loan going into a CD, then I recevie the funds when the loan is paid off and the CD matures. When I signed up, it was advertized have access to your money when the loan is paid off, and the CD matures. Well my loan was paid off early, and my CD matured XX/XX/XXXX. I have yet to receive my funds and it is now XX/XX/XXXX. Ive tried calling and im given the excuse that it takes time to make sure everything has been paid as agreed. Well when I made my last payment on my selflender account online, it told me right away i was paid off, why so much extra time? Problem is, I planned a vehicle purchase around the return of this money to pay my tags on my new car. They come to {$540.00}, I am supposed to receive via ACH direct deposite XXXX.. More than enough to pay my tags. To me, 10 days is more than enough time to receive my funds. But because selflender is playing with my my money like its a game, I am now going to have penalty late fees on my tags, along with having to park my brand new vehicle that I'm making payments on because it can not be legally driven after XX/XX/XXXX, tomorrow.. So now my money I am suppose to receive is not going to be enough to cover tags and penalty fees together, along with not being able to drive a brand new vehicle being paid for by me. I'm loosing money at all angles here because selflender is playing with my money.. Im being told a total of 14days to receive my money. For an ACH direct deposit? Ridiculous. Who is compensating me for this loss? I can take take further legal action if needed.

I recently paid off an account with Self Lender ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ). They are reporting my payment from XX/XX/XXXX as late but it was made early as I made 2 payments on XX/XX/XXXX, and another on XX/XX/XXXX.
Shortly after I paid on XX/XX/XXXX, my online account reflected that XX/XX/XXXX was " Paid early. '' When I paid again in XX/XX/XXXX, I assumed it would be applied to XX/XX/XXXX payment.
I have requested a goodwill late payment removal of this payment on account of my typically paying early on this account, but after review of my original loan documents, there is nothing there barring early payments. The documents do not state that early payments do not count toward the next month 's payment. The terms state that : " I may pay without penalty all or a portion of the amount owed earlier than it is due.
Early payments will not, unless agreed to by Lender in writing, relieve me of my obligation to continue to make payments of accrued unpaid interest. '' If early payments aren't applied toward the next month 's payment, I don't understand why my online account reflected that XX/XX/XXXX was " Paid early '' after my 2 payments in XX/XX/XXXX. I also don't understand why the account agreement doesn't state " Early payments will not, unless agreed to by Lender in writing, relieve me of my obligation to continue to make payments under the payment schedule '' versus " Early payments will not, unless agreed to by Lender in writing, relieve me of my obligation to continue to make payments of accrued unpaid interest. ''

Upon reviewing information regarding my Self Lender loan I noticed that I had a pending transaction that I did not authorize on Friday, XXXX XXXX, XXXX in the amount of {$50.00}. On Tuesday, XXXX XXXX, XXXX I did authorize a payment in the amount of {$48.00}. So I called my bank to determine if they had a transaction pending from Self Lender in the amount of {$50.00} and they could not find the pending transaction that was listed on my Self Lender account. I also learned that my account was overdrafted because of a withdraw from Self Lender. So I then called Self Lender 's XXXX number to have the transaction stopped because I did not authorize the payment on XXXX XXXX and did not want to pay any additional fees. I was put on hold for over 10 minutes twice and the phone call was never answered. I contacted someone on chat on the website and received an answer. While speaking the XXXX ( I believe ) I was informed that a transaction could be pending for two to four business days before it is withdrawn from your account, that it could take up to seven day for it to update on the website and that the transaction could not be canceled before the representative rudely disconnected the chat message with me. When I attempted to use the chat again it says that it was unavailable and the office was closed. This is the second time in a row that Self Lender has held a payment until my account balance is low and attempted to withdraw funds. I believe it is in an effort to collect late fees and insufficient funds fees.

On XX/XX/2020 I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX and explained to them that I lost my job on XX/XX/2020 due to Covid-19 and wanted to see how could they help me with this issue because I been trying to fix my credit for 2 years and thats the reason I joined them. I missed the payment for 1 day but it wasnt because I didnt want to make the payment I lost my job and I was afraid with the little money and I had and had to wait almost 4 weeks to receive my first unemployment check. So the representative I spoke too said they were not going to report me and that they were going to help me.I told them as soon as I get my first unemployment check I would make the full payment immediately and did the payment on XX/XX/2020. I kept my word But they still reported me late to the credit bureaus when they said they werent going to do that. Im really disappointed because all the companies I have credit cards have worked with me but this company that offers you to help you with your credit builder account, I thought they would understand my situation but I guess they dont. I called them on XX/XX/2020 and explained the situation that they said they werent going to report me but said they couldnt do anything about and had to report it to the credit bureaus. I was prompted by this company to open a loan to increase my credit score. {$50.00} a month payment for 12 months. After about 6 months of making payments they offered me a secured Visa card on line using my deposited funds and charging me {$25.00} which was never disclosed. The card was opened in XXXX of XXXX. The account was only online. I never received monthly billing. In XXXX of XXXX I received one 30 day late from this company. I went back and reviewed all the online activity and noticed that I had consequently made monthly payments in XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. When I called the company to go over this they said since you were one day late on the payment in XXXX and XXXX ( possibly due to the time zone me being in PST ). That the 30 day rule according to there card stands. I tried explaining to the agent that technically for me to get a 30 day on the account the payment would need to be missed 31 days from the due date. They chuckled and said no that's not how this card works. I tried several times to get action from this company and ended up paying off the account and never received my deposit back for the secured card of the credit builder account. They assured me I would be receiving funds of {$550.00} but have not yet. I request the 30 day late be removed from my account and my deposit be refunded immediately.

I have a secured card with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and i had the account for 3 months, i have paid on time and over the amount due which the XX/XX/XXXXpayment was initially two payments. My monthly payments are {$15.00} i paid {$180.00} on the XXXX of XXXX. My payments are due on the XX/XX/XXXX of the month and the statements print on the XX/XX/XXXX of each month which means i am not 30 days past due. The reported 30-59 days past due to the credit bureaus dropping my credit score over 40 points. I am in the process of buying a home for my family and this is a major issue for me right now.
As you can see the attachments are photos of how they are reporting the information to my credit file. The minimum payment is still {$15.00} if i was late 30-59 days it would be more, also the status says current. how could be current when i am 30-59 days late.
XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX- I am also submitting an investigation for XXXX XXXX XXXX you will see the actual screenshots of the late payments they came i have 90 days in XX/XX/XXXX, 90 days in XX/XX/XXXX and 90 days in XX/XX/XXXX. How can i be late on any of my student loan accounts when the prior months are on time not late. There are 10 XXXX XXXX XXXX accounts listed on my credit report that are reporting 90 days late but neither of the prior months are late according to the credit report.

This company i feel has been nothing but fraud. They gave done nothing to build my credit its actually gone down dramatically since i started with them I got the secured card thinking that that was going to help build my credit even more but the secure card did absolutely nothing the company has refused to respond to several emails even though they say they respond in 24 to 48 hours I've gone days upon days of no response they will not show me what transactions were used on the secure card nor do I have a way of checking with the balance is on the secure card even on the statement it doesn't show me a full history of all my transactions I also tried to schedule a payment but they didn't try to process the payment until three or four days later even though it said it was going to be an immediate payment then had the nerve to send me an email saying that I could get tired to see because the payment got declined if they would have ran the XXXX dollar payment on the day that it was supposed to be ran immediately I wouldn't have this issue so I'm having issues with customer service with billing is in the biggest thing was having a credit card that I have no way of checking with account balances are reaching any customer service and they only have way for me to email them they don't answer the phone and i also need to dispute a transaction

I noticed that I had a ding on my credit report for a account that was 30 days late it was reported for the month of XX/XX/2020. It was for my Self secured credit card. I sent them a chat request this morning of XX/XX/2020 to inquire about this because It has to be a mistake. My payments are due on the XX/XX/XXXX of every month I was late but only by 3 days for the month of XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX I made my payments on the XX/XX/XXXX of both of those months. I was trying to chat with them about why they reported me being over 30 days late when that is not possible since i was only 3 days past my due date. But they could not give me a reasonable answer I was well aware of the late fee and excepted the fee I paid all the fees and my minimum payment and then some. I told them that this was being reported on my credit report as inaccurate information and is a deformation of character and not a true picture of what is really being done and all I was told was that since I made the payment after the due date the statement was closed and it is not possible to make a payment to that statement and therefore I am 30 days late. I told them that is a deformation of character and is inaccurate and to please update it to not late and i was told to have a nice day and the chat was ended.

I spoke to Self Lender and we agreed to close my account because my employment was not stable because my store was closing on XX/XX/XXXX. Self Lender sent my deposit check back to me minus fees and 4 days ago closed my account and You incorrectly posted my account has 60 days late and closed.

Re : XXXX XXXX XXXX Self Lender Account XXXX Dispute I wrote and called to them to request a letter of deletion for my records for this account. I have checked my credit reports for all 3 bureaus and see that the derogatory information from XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX is partner for Self Lender ) for the above referenced account is still on my XXXX Credit Report. I started this self lender account to help my credit and due to an accounting error in the 1st month, every month Ive had this account opened they reported it as 30 days late. I need this entire account removed from my XXXX credit profile completely and immediately.
Please forward the letter of deletion to me at my fax number XXXX and also mail me a hard copy. I am in the middle of a very important real estate transaction and this information is causing significant delays.

I have an account with a company called self lender. This is used to build credit history. The way it works it I pay them a monthly amount of {$25.00} and at the end of 24 months my Money is returned to me. During this period they report those payment to the credit bureaus. near the end of XXXX I was hospitalized due to sickness and thought my payments were on auto pay. It recently came to my attention that there is a 30 day late payment reporting to the bureaus. All of my past months are paid up and this was a one time occurrence. Being that I was hospitalized I was not aware they didnt auto deduct the payment from my account along with the fact that I wasnt able to contact anyone to resolve this issue. My account is in good standing but the presence of this late payment on my credit is bringing financial hard bearings due to the fact that it has tremendously impacted my score. This company is supposed to help peoples credit but now it is doing the opposite for and I dont feel as if its right! I pride Myself on my good payment history in managing my finances and this situation is really affecting me!

I started a self lender acct in XX/XX/XXXX for credit improvement. I agreed to pay {$50.00} monthly for 12 months, any the end of the 12 months I would get my money back, in the meantime each month when payments are mad it is reported to all 3 credit bereaus as positive reporting. On XX/XX/XXXX I received an email stating my acct has been closed, and I was notified my credit score dropped 120 points. When I contacted self lender they stated they would need to look into it, as I did my research I realized once my checking acct was closed due to fraud the payment did not automatically go through for XXXX. Self Lender reported that I had not made a payment since XX/XX/XXXX to all 3 CRAs! This information is inaccurate, and is currently and drastically effected my credit score. I have contacted self lender 5x and it has been over a month, and yet they still have no answer, and I was told they are working on the issue with their banking partners. This needs to be fixed ASAP or I am seeking legal representation!

Self Lender ( XXXX XXXX ) is showing a late payment on my account from XX/XX/2018 and this late payment have dropped my credit score about 40 points. I have never been late on my self lender account. Every month since I have gotten the account self lender automatically drafts the money out of my account so I was surprised that I got a late payment from them. That is almost impossible to happen if they are using the same account information every month to draft the payments. When I did contact Self lender about the reporting of a late payment on my credit they said that they tried to call me and left me a voicemail. That is a lie I have never received a call or voicemail from self lender. I check my voicemails everyday. My credit is so important to me if I had known that there could of been an issue with my account I would of done everything to fix it. I was never late on my self lender account. This company is very unprofessional and I would not be recommending them to anyone.

I have an issue with XXXX and XXXX reporting. XXXX bank deleted an account off my credit report but it still shows on both XXXX and XXXX. XXXX XXXX is reporting different information to all the bureaus. Which is against FCRA. XXXX is suppose to be investigating this information but it doesnt seem like they are. Also my FICO scores are 200 points less than XXXX and 100 points less than XXXX. Something on XXXX side isnt reporting correctly. XXXX has 15 inquiries on my credit report that was unauthorized. I have not seek any credit from no company. Why was one paid account deleted from XXXX but not the other two. Its making my credit look completely off. I need XXXX and XXXX explain why both FICO scores are so off from XXXX. If not corrected in a timely matter i would have to seek an attorney because this is causing me to lose my mortgage loan.

I opened an account with selflender.com for the purposes of building my personal credit score. I was informed they were a great company in terms of helping consumers build good credit using their own money. When I open my account in XXXX I was not informed that I could not mail my check in for payment on my account. Instead I received an e-mail stating my check was being returned to me because XXXX XXXX XXXX self lenders banking partner were not able to accept a paper check as a form of payment. I contacted self lender and informed them that check payment method was the only way I could pay due to my debit card being replaced. Self lender rep stated that would be fine and just make the payment when I could. Later when I looked at my credit report I noticed I had a 30 day late for the month of XXXX although my payment is current.

I have been having issues with my credit report, somebody put 2 credit cards in my NAME THAT I NEVER AUTHORIZED signed for EVER! One named XXXX XXXX, the other being XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have disputed this information with the bureaus and with the company, I am a male, a female has done this without my authorization, there should only be medical bills and student loans on my credit report, I have no credit nothing in my name at all. You should all investigate what IP address was used as well as signatures used because I NEVER signed for anything. I had an account with SelfLender back in XXXX. According to MyFico score reports, XXXX & XXXX showed a 30 day late status for XX/XX/2017, while XXXX showed a 30 day late status for XXXX. See attached. I disputed the account history in order to have the report corrected, and at that time, XXXX XXXX XXXX appears to have added another 30-day late status to each of my reports.
I only paid this account late one time. In fact, every single other payment aside from that one were made early. If that's not the case, I'd like XXXX XXXX XXXX to furnish documentation to prove otherwise.
Clearly this is not accurate, and I'm quite sure they're retaliating against me for the less than favorable reviews I left them on XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX.

Since XX/XX/2019 Selflender has been continually reporting to XXXX that my closed account is open an negligent. I have spoken with representatives several times since XXXX including XX/XX/XXXXXX/XX/XXXX,XX/XX/19,XX/XX/19,XX/XX/19. They have refused to contact XXXX to fix their reporting issues. Yet, I as the consumer has to suffer and have my credit score dropped monthly for incorrect reporting on their end. I have spoke to XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX for an hour and they too have informed me of exact details of Selflender incorrectly reporting to XXXX. Selflender is continuing to not return calls or tell me someone will call me in a day and I never receive a call. I'm stressed and have suffered tremendously from this one situation.

On XXXX of 2020 Self Inc. reported a late payment. I didn't realize it until XXXX and I contacted the customer service department they told me they could not fix it at that time I could not understand the error. Now XXXX I figured out the issue and screenshotted the info. I know the info was updated it was confirm with the rep and if I hadn't double check the issue, the problem would have happened again. The autopay was not correct again and if I hadn't manually paid the payment and checked within the 15 day grace period, I would have had yet another late on my credit report. Everyone makes mistakes and I requested for it to be corrected but they are trying to act like its my mistake.

Unfortunately, at the time of the incident mentioned above, I had to cancel my subscription. I had an account with this company last year to build my credit score. There was an issue when I switched banks the website would not allow me to add my banking information. I was late on my payment because I could not pay my bill online and there was no other way to pay it. I called the company to fix the issue and I emailed them and it wasn't fixed. my credit score has been impacted by this reporting because I was reported as being 60 days late. I tried to just use this information with the credit bureaus with no success and the company will not budge on its reporting of my payment history which is upsetting because rather than build my credit it actually hurt it

A self lender account was open in my name without my consent. When an alert was sent out to me I immediately contacted XXXX about the self lender account. They immediately closed the account and told me that no one will be able to reopen an account in my name. The damage had already been done because a late payments was put on all three of my credit reports which in result cause about a 30 point drop on all three credit report. I disputed the account as well but it not fair for me to lose my points and not regain them due to an account being open without my knowledge. I feel this is a problem that need to be fix asap.

On XX/XX/17 I opened a self lender account- in my inquiry process they explained that I could cancel if I needed or wanted to, and that if I couldn't make a payment they would cancel the account for me prior to it damaging my credit. I canceled within a few days, and prior to the first payment. They never cancelled the account, and its showing a 90 day late on my credit report. I tried to negotiate with them, to open an account and do business if they would remove the previous, whatever it would take.
It's still there. The premise was they help to build your credit up, but they did nothing but damage mine.

I paid my account off on XX/XX/2018 and I am being told that it would take 10 to 14 days before I get my funds back on the account. This excessive time frame was never disclosed. When closing an account out at a bank it does not take 10 to 14 days. Typically a bank will give you your funds the same day the account is closed. I called an asked for an explanation of the 10 to 14 days and no good explanation was given. According the to the person I got on the phone the bank has some sort of things they need to check on the account which does not make any sense. Rep could not explain any thing further.

Self lender falsely reported 30 day plus delinquency late payment on my credit report for my XX/XX/2019 payment after I set up auto pay in XX/XX/XXXX for the payment to be auto devoted on XX/XX/XXXX and I have the screenshot, however I logged on the account today and saw that autopsy was not reflecting. I signed up for self lender today and thought i understood that each account only 12 months. However I read the confirmation email and it said 24 months. Self lender failed to withdraw the XXXX payment from my account. So I was 30 days late. That was the ONLY time that I was late. I then closed the account and paid it. They have now listed that I was 30 days late TWICE on my reports, which is inaccurate.
