I am an XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and have consulted with a Judge Advocate on this issue. On XX/XX/XXXX I purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX ( VIN XXXX ) from XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, NY for {$18.00}, XXXX. I financed the vehicle through Security National Automotive Acceptance Company ( SNAAC ). With the interest rate of 18.25 %, the total amount I financed through SNAAC was {$28000.00}. My monthly payments were {$460.00} for 60 months. On or around XX/XX/XXXX I was XXXX to XXXX. My wife at the time, XXXX, transported the vehicle back to our home state of Kentucky. She was using the vehicle while I was XXXX. At some point during my XXXX, the vehicle was allegedly stolen from her. The driver whom I did not know, XXXX XXXX, was apparently pulled over and arrested in XXXX, Mississippi. After she was arrested, my vehicle was impounded at the XXXX Impound lot. My wife at the time and I had already decided that we were going to divorce and were no longer in contact, therefore she did not inform me that my vehicle had been impounded. I am not completely sure when this all occurred, as I have not been able to get much information. However, I was not informed in any way that my vehicle was impounded by the impound lot, police department, or SNAAC. Shortly before returning home from XXXX, XXXX finally informed me that my vehicle was impounded. She did not tell me any other information as to the circumstances or location, but I knew from my bank account that she had been in XXXX, Mississippi. Once I returned to XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I began to call different impound lots around that area and eventually located the XXXX Impound lot where my car was impounded. They informed me over the phone that they found SNAACs information in the glove box and contacted them. My information was also in the glove box, therefore the impound lot could have easily found out who the owner of the vehicle was. The impound lot told me that the lien holder ( SNAAC ) told them that they did not want to retrieve the vehicle and therefore the vehicle could be sold at auction in order to cover impound costs after 30 days, which it was. The impound lot never tried to get in contact with me when the car came to them, and to my knowledge, never enquired whether I was a servicemember. SNAAC, knowing I was a servicemember, never tried to contact me regarding the car. They simply allowed the impound lot to have the vehicle, and presumably were never going to inform me about the location and condition of my vehicle. They certainly never received permission from me or a court order authorizing them to release my vehicle to the impound lot. Because I no longer had the vehicle or anyway to retrieve it, I immediately turned off payments for the vehicle, and was contacted only then by SNAAC. I had not heard anything from them before turning off payments, even though they were aware that I was XXXX. Once I stopped payments they began harassing me to collect the vehicle costs. They even called my chain of command and threatened to interfere with my XXXX career and security clearance in an effort to get payment. They also harassed my father. Once the constant calls began, I went to JAG at XXXX XXXX. I told them the entire situation, but they told me since it did not occur in New York state, they could not help me. I agreed to make smaller payments of {$100.00} to SNAAC to get them to stop harassing and in fear of their threats to my career. I made 1 or 2 of those payments before stopping payment all together. I stopped paying because I decided to try to file a loss and a stolen vehicle report with my insurance ( XXXX ). My claim was eventually denied, as XXXX would not cooperate and XXXX would not allow me to claim my car as stolen. For months I made attempts to contact the impound lot, police department, and all parties of the event to collect information for my claim but no one would help me. Eventually I gave up. I had never heard anything from SNAAC in regards to the owed money of over XXXX being sent to collections until I checked my credit report in XXXX and saw it had been sent to XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX. SNAAC had threatened to list the debt as a repossession, even though it was not one. They said they did not care and could put whatever they wanted on my credit report, and that the repossession would hinder my career and future. I tried to dispute the debt, with no luck. The repossession information on my credit has continually made it difficult when trying to finance any other vehicles since then. I decided as a final effort, and from advice from my current wife, to contact the DOJ regarding this issue. Since then, I have consulted with a Legal Assistance Judge Advocate in XXXX XXXX, XXXX, where I was on rotation.

Yesterday XXXX/XXXX/XXXX XXXX MST I sent the following email to XXXX XXXX after we spoke on the phone regarding my account and my many issues I 'm having with SNAAC. He did not reply. When I called back this morning, he let me know that he did get my email but did not reply due to concerns I made. He said he forwarded my email to XXXX XXXX, VP of Compliance department and that he will note my request for XXXX XXXX to contact me only via email. However, he said I could not have XXXX XXXX contact information and he did not know a turnaround time. I have been battling this company for months and can not get the courtesy of a reply to let me at least know this much. Here 's the email explaining my complaints : " XXXX XXXX, Thanks for the statement. My wife requested this on Friday XXXX/XXXX/XXXX when she spoke with XXXX but we never received it after she claimed she 'd send it right away. According to my XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX, my XXXX is 18.75 %. You all have been taking more than that from every payment I 've made ; sometimes more than 50 % of my payments and applying it to interest. I 've NEVER had that done with any vehicle loan I 've had. There 's not even any consistency. Please explain the varying amounts of interest SNAAC has been taking from my monthly payments. Also, need to know how to go about specifying how much of my payments goes to principal and how much goes toward interest. In other words, how do I make a principal-only payment and an interest payment. Does this need to be done separately, or can I somehow specify how each payment is directed. I have to ensure my payments are applied appropriately since SNAAC is applying it however they feel. Where in my agreement with SNAAC does it list that you all will apply varying amounts of my payments to interest? This was never made clear to me, and seems to be a matter of unfair, deceptive, and abusive acts and practices ( UDAAP )! Under the XXXX XXXX, it is unlawful for any provider of consumer financial products or services to partake in any unfair, deceptive, or abusive practices. Rightfully so, I am very bothered by how XXXX has conducted business, from threats to contact my chain of command during my financial hardships to manipulating me and my account in regards to interest. How can my payments I 've made be redirected, appropriately? I also want to draw attention to the fact that on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX XXXX said she would submit an accounting ticket to have the following fees reversed and each and every time my wife and I follow up with SNAAC we 're told it 's still being reviewed, though we 've been told that XXXX 's notes are in the system! I also need a resolution for this matter. {$110.00} repo fee {$60.00} NSF XXXX from XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX {$28.00} late fees for XXXX Please, address all of my above-mentioned concerns. Kindly, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX '' I would like to add that SNAAC DID in fact contact superior, XXXX ; they made good on their threat. SNAAC has humiliated me and has refused to handle account concerns dating back to XXXX, not to mention their deviations with my payments. I was financed for a little under $ XXXX, and a year later my balance is over $ XXXX! Mind you, monthly payments are {$560.00}. When CFPB asks, " Which of these best describes your issue?, '' I 'm only allowed to select XXXX, but really there 's been problems when I was unable to pay, there 's been problems with taking out the loan ( terns ), and problems with loan management.

I purchased a vehicle from a dealership located by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX after I joined the XXXX. I just turned XXXX and was in need of transportation so i took the advice of a fellow XXXX and went to a local dealership. The small dealership 's main income was from XXXX and has since been blacklisted in XXXX ( I believe ) due to the " taking advantage of young soldiers ''. Because of the lack of soldiers the dealership was forced to shut its doors. The vehicle I financed was a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, financed through Security National Automotive Acceptance Corp. ( SNAAC ). At the time I was unaware of the customer complaints and allegations against the company. I was financed with an 18 % interest rate, that of which was said to be normal by the dealership employee. I maintained the vehicle until XXXX when I was stationed in XXXX XXXX, I was verbally threatened to have the vehicle " voluntarily repossessed '' due to the allotment failing on Mypay. When the allotment failed, they gave me instructions to set it back up. I followed their instructions only to have it stop soon after. I contacted XXXX to figure out the cause of the issue only to be told that they are unsure. SNAAC began the threatening emails and phone calls and contacted my unit. My unit knew that I was not to blame and that they would help resolve the issue and set the allotment back up. By this time I was late a few payments and was unable to pay the sum being requested. They sent a truck to the base to pick up the vehicle while I was in training and left me with no choice but to voluntarily surrender my vehicle so they could sell it and make up what they lost. After the fact, I XXXX to XXXX in XXXX of XXXX and purchased a new vehicle. Soon after I began to receive calls and emails stating that I owed XXXX to them. They threatened with everything under the sun to get their money and even attempted to contact my unit. They were unaware of the fact that I already filled them in and provided the documentation of the past incidents. They were not pleased when my commander and supervisors did not believe the XXXX that SNAAC was saying. They eventually offered me a payment plan that I attempted to use to stop the XXXX experience. The financial load of my bills, my new car, and this bill was overwhelming and my supervisors instructed me to go to the XXXX office. Apparently SNAAC did not like being contacted by them and tried harder to get me to pay. They sent threats claiming " you will void out the agreement and the balance will revert back to the full amount ''. The employee I spoke too named XXXX XXXX did not care how I got the money as long as they received it. It got to the point where I was selling the few belongings I had just to get a little money to send them. I even informed him of my situation and all he wanted was the money I got for selling everything. They contacted me all the way up to XXXX after I XXXX from the military. My credit still shows that I owe XXXX with no way of getting it off even after I paid over half the car, they sold it and made their money back and more, and I made payments after and I still get random calls from them randomly even though they closed the account and passed it on to a creditor.

Security National has wrongfully repossessed my car on XXXX separate occasions. The first time my car was repossessed, Security National made an error on processing a payment deferment and repossessed my car while I was serving a 12 month XXXX. No notice was given after the repossession and my wife believed the car to be stolen. Upon further inspection after returning my vehicle there was significant damage to the front of my car consistent with the repo company improperly towing my vehicle. I immediately notified Security National of the issue and sent detailed photos of the damage. My complaint was however ignored and I was never compensated for the damages or the loss of use of my vehicle. A year passed since this incident and I was forced to file chapter XXXX bankruptcy for some uncontrollable circumstances. I filed a successful motion to redeem my vehicle from Security National at the fair market value. Security National failed to adhere to the court order and held the title to the vehicle in excess of 30 days after the funds had been received far exceeding the 3 day mandated surrender of the title annotated in the court order. During this time they continued to aggressively seek the recovery of my vehicle by having repossession agents come to my home. I contacted Security National about this issue and was told by a representative that they were still seeking to collect a debt from me and were unaware of any court documents sent to them even though the check sent to them had been cashed almost a month prior. It was n't until I was put on an extended hold and told that the documents had been magically found that I was reassured the issue would be resolved and the account would be closed, the title sent out and the repossession efforts would cease. Almost two weeks had passed following this conversation and another repo agent successfully repossessed my vehicle on a Sunday at my residence. I was unable to seek any kind of help because of this and was n't able to contact Security National till the following day. The repo company blamed Security National for not rescinding the repo order and Security National blamed the repo company for not receiving notice to cancel the order. Irrigardless of their communication issues I was still a victim of my car being unlawfully repossessed when Security National had no legal ownership of my vehicle. Again, I was never compensated for the inconvience or loss of use of my vehicle for this second wrongful repossession. The disorganization of this auto lender is appalling and I feel what has happened to me is unacceptable.

I 've been with my financing company for almost 2 years now, and never really missed a payment. For 7-8 consecutive months in XXXX my payments were being withdrawn on time by this company without any problems. One month ( XX/XX/XXXX ) the payment decided not to come out and the company took it as a missed payment. I rarely check my account on bill day due to my knowledge of not having any money left. So for the next couple of month the payments continued to come out as if nothing happened. I never received a call or letter in regards to that one month that was missed due to not being taken out, which was also proven on my bank statements that the funds were available. So after a month or two went by and payments being made in those months ( XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX & XX/XX/XXXX ). I woke up one morning in the month of XX/XX/XXXX and my vehicle was gone. After getting in contact with the police department, I was told my vehicle was repossessed. I contacted the Finance company and was not given any cooperation with the situation on the matter. I was told I would have max of a week to pay the towing fee and 3 months worth of car payments totaling to {$1200.00} or my command will be contacted and car would be sold. After being threatened and hassled I received a loan to pay off debt to get car back which took 3-4 days. Then following this problem, for the months of XXXX , XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX I was doubled charged a month of car payments of {$450.00}. After contacting the company they did not comply again, giving false payment information stating that I owed that months payment even though I was already charged for it. They then began to threaten to call my Commanding officer again if debt was not paid by a certain date. I was being hassled and repeatedly called every second by this company for months. I had to get a new phone number to resolve this issue.

My car was repossessed by Snaac XX/XX/XXXX on a Friday. I made the payment the next day. I called to verify that they had received my payment. Snaac said that they did, but I would have to wait until Monday to talk to the department that handles repossessions. I called Snaac Monday and a representative informed me that my car was scheduled for pick-up to be taken to auction. She told me she would fax XXXX ( XXXX, Texas ) the necessary documentation to stop them from taking my car to auction. I called the towing company to let them know that Snaac would be faxing them said paperwork and that I would be calling back. Later on I called back and was informed my car was being taken to auction ( XXXX, Texas ) because they never received the proper paperwork to prevent them from taking my car to auction. I live in XXXX, Texas. I immediately called Snaac to find out why they did n't fax the paperwork, and the representative in the repossessions department informed me that she did fax over the paperwork. Either company did n't want to take responsibility for the horrible mistake that was made. I did n't get my car back for four days. The supervisor informed that any and all fees for repossession would be waived because it was their mistake my car was taken to auction. XX/XX/XXXX Snaac tried to reapply charges to my account for repossession fees. XX/XX/XXXX, I decided to retrieve a copy of my credit reports from all three bureaus. I noticed Snaac reported late payments and a statement to my report saying " redeemed possession '' months after the fact. It was recently added to my credit reports. I do n't understand why that is so many months later and after the horrible mistake that they made and penalized me for. This is what prompted me to submit a complaint. Snaac has phone recordings that pertains to this situation in their archives.

On XX/XX/XXXX I purchased a used car from XXXX XXXX XXXX dealership in XXXX, TN. The car was financed through Security National Automotive Acceptance Company ( SNAAC ). The GAP policy was purchased from XXXX, which is owned by SNAAC, and the {$800.00} for the GAP policy was included in the financing. The car was insured through XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, the very next day, I was in an accident and the car was determined to be totaled by my insurance carrier, XXXX. OnXX/XX/XXXX XXXX sent a check for {$16000.00} to SNAAC ( attachmemt 1 ). This is also verified on my account with XXXX ( attachment 2 ). On XX/XX/XXXX I made a payment to XXXX of {$210.00}, which was the scheduled bimonthly payment ( attachment 4 shows the payment credited on my SNAAC loan account ). I don't feel I should have needed to make this payment as my car was totaled. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX, who was paid a commission on the GAP policy, issued a refund of {$540.00} to SNAAC. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX verified that the {$540.00} refund check cleared their bank. OnXX/XX/XXXX XXXX sent a letter summarizing the entire transaction which confirms that SNAAC was paid {$16000.00} by XXXX, that I was due a refund of {$800.00} for the GAP insurance charged when I bought the car, and that the total GAP settlement is {$310.00} ( attachment 3 ). On XX/XX/XXXX I called SNAAC, along with my military financial advisor, and SNAAC stated that they never received the {$540.00} refund from XXXX XXXX. They said that I owe {$790.00} which is the account balance that is shown on my SNAAC account as of today. The account also states that the " Total Due '' is {$670.00}. SNAAC told me that interest is accruing DAILY. On XX/XX/XXXX I printed a copy of the balance on my SNAAC loan ( attachment 5 ) which shows : Account balance {$790.00}. Total due {$670.00}.

I just read a case against Security National Acceptance filed by CFPB on a service member and it states that SNAAC is not supposed to get into any more problems with the service members but here I am an XXXX military who got an auto loan with them. In XXXX of 2015 I filed for bankruptcy which was discharged in XXXX of 2015. I am attaching the email from the Judgement Administrator at SNAAC who stated very clearly that she received the court documents and I am retaining my vehicle. I took that email as confirmation and have been making payments to SNAAC for the past one year on time. SNAAC has not been reporting any payments to the credit bureaus and upon asking I got told that oh it was discharged in bankruptcy. I have made payments to SNAAC for the pat one year. I have been arguing with them about this since like XXXX of 2015 when I first found out about this. No response, no resolution nothing. My credit score hurting, did not get approved for any auto loan anywhere till yesterday finally with a high interest rate, a security investigation going on me with the military and no positive accounts reported in the credit bureau which may affect my clearance with the military, I am not getting any response from SNAAC they never email or call me, customer service representatives are very rude and they tell me they can not do anything and they always transfer me to XXXX XXXX the current Judgment administrator who never answers her phone or gets back to me. So I have one year of payments not reported to the credit bureaus which has affected my credit rating, no credit card approvals an auto loan approval with a high interest rate, the metal torture Im going through right now, the time I waste in contacting and looking for answers with no resolution.

In or aroundXX/XX/XXXX I purchased a car and financed it through Security National Automotive Acceptance Company ( XXXX ) .. I made approximately 5-6 payments and realized I could not afford the car anymore. At some point the car was repossessed. In or around XX/XX/XXXX XXXX began to call my cell phone regarding the payments. Eventually the calls became threatening, persuasive and all but bullying me to give them money. The calls were as much as several times a week during the first 2 months. A few things they were saying to me were, amounts I need to and GOING to pay, we will put an arrest warrant out for you, and we are the only people that can help you. These calls lasted for over 10 minutes and the representatives constantly said the same things over and over until I would ask to speak to someone else and at that point I would be on the telephone waiting for long periods of time and at some point I would just hang up. The calls would then persist from different representatives. Approximately 1 week ago, I received a copy of my credit reports and noticed a balanced owed to XXXX in the amount of {$10000.00}. I called them to inquire, I was told the car was sold at an auction for approximately {$1300.00} and the current balance owed to date is {$10000.00}! I actually had to have someone else speak to them on my behalf because of what i had endured previously. Soon thereafter, I mailed them a letter ( attached ) requesting any and all documentation regarding my account as well as demanding them to cease contacting me via my cellular telephone. I have also received texted messages from XXXX and surprisingly, as of XX/XX/XXXX sure enough, I received another text message ( attached ) from XXXX!

In XXXX XXXX I purchased a XXXX XXXX avenger. I financed the vehicle through a company called snaac. A few months later I had already started to have some issues with my payments, they said I had insufficient funds within my account but when I viewed my account there was money there. So I paid what I need it to pay to catch back up on my normal payments. Months after that this same thing happened in months after that the same thing also happened all the way till now XXXX XXXX. But at this moment they repossessed my vehicle and once again say that I had insufficient funds within my account but that wasnt true coming from XXXX XXXX. Maybe federal viewed my statements online from the day I got my car till now they told me that snaac didnt even try to an attempt to take or collect the money from my account there was no proof of it and when they did take out the money that it was random and random amounts which was not in the contract and or agreement. I also remember saying on the phone with this company for my payments to come out on the first and 15th numerous times it would come out on the first but on the XXXX there would be no water but instead a later date they would get that money out of my account like the XXXX Way past the date that was set on the agreement. So last night XXXX XXXX my vehicle was repossessed and I had no mail or anything saying that my vehicle was going to get repossessed only a letter stating that my payment is being processed. Both on the phone and face to face XXXX XXXX stated this seems very shady from this company and very much to me seems like a rip off. This happening to an XXXXXXXX member Is a no go in the XXXX

in XX/XX/XXXX i received two notices from Security National Automotive Acceptance Company ( SNAAC ) in regards to consent order XX/XX/XXXX-CFPB-XXXX ( enclosed ). one of them was a notice of a credit in the amount of {$1500.00}, datedXX/XX/XXXX. the other was a notice of refund in the amount of {$350.00}, as well as a check for that amount ( enclosed ). I received notification via email ( enclosed ) stating that the account was paid in full as ofXX/XX/XXXX. upon speaking with a SNAAC representative on XX/XX/XXXX i was told there is no record of my balance being paid off. ( phone record enclosed ) i requested the contact information of the rep to forward the email, and never received. i then again spoke to the rep on XX/XX/XXXX and was told that now they have the settlement information on file, and that they had taken the credit of {$1500.00} and applied it to the balance to close out the settlement. ( phone record enclosed ) However, the consent orderXX/XX/XXXX-CFPB-XXXX was filed onXX/XX/XXXX, 5 days after i was notified my account was paid in full. This withholding is in bad faith under consent order XX/XX/XXXX-CFPB-XXXX and directly violates this order. upon more investigating i also never received any redress, or notices in regards to, consent orderXX/XX/XXXX-CFPB-XXXX. i have also attached documents taken from my SNAAC online portal referencing that my account still has a remaining balance, as well as a brief payment history, and a lack of any estatments for viewing.

I provided this company with a copy of court order advising them that this debt does not belong to me as the owner of the vehicle XXXX XXXX was ordered to refinance the vehicle and take my name off of it. The owner of this loan/vehicle did not comply with the order and instead of refinancing the vehicle he just failed to make the payments and then wrecked the vehicle and then the insurance company paid the vehicle off. I have made several attempts with the company to advise them on the situation and to get them to correct it. As they are reporting this account negative on my report however the information they are reporting is not an indication of my payment history or habits. The court order was made for XXXX XXXX to refinance the vehicle and I provided the company with information indicating this as well as copy of him indicating this had been done. It was not until this company reported negatively on credit report that I was made aware of this not taking place. I did not receive any notification from the company advising me that the account was delinquent prior to their reporting negatively on my report. I have made several attempts and requests to have the information removed as well as sent in proof of my not being responsible at the time of delinquency in the form of a court order and this company still is reporting incorrect/negative information on my report. I have never received a bill or any notice of this account in any capacity.

In XXXX XXXX, I purchased a 2012 Honda Civic from XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, Virginia. The purchase price was approximately {$10000.00}. The loan was 60 months at 7-8 % interest. My car payments, according to the dealership, were supposed to be $ XXXX/month. In XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX attempted to take approximately {$450.00} from my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX without my permission. I contacted the dealership, and they told me the car payment was in fact {$470.00} per month. I told them I did n't want to do business with them, as that was not the agreed upon price. They took the car back ( travelled to North Carolina and got it ), and told me I was free and clear. In XXXX XXXX, I received a notice of an involuntary allotment from my command by Security National Automotive Acceptance Corp. This was the first time I learned of any legal action against me, as all paperwork for somehow sent to my home of record, despite the dealership and finance company having my address in North Carolina. The judgment against me was for {$10000.00} at an interest rate of 20.15 %. SNAAC 's attorney, XXXX XXXX, told me that they should have mailed me at my NC address or through my XXXX. The judicial decree ordered me to pay the full amount, plus attorneys fees for SNAAC. Further, I have been receiving notices from SNAAC that I have been applying for loans, and those loans are being rejected. However, I have not applied for any loans.

I 've been having several issues with SNAAC which is the company I 'm financing my vehicle through. On XXXX XXXX my vehicle got ceased because I was behind on a payment due to a tornado ripping through XXXX Georgia so I had to pay for repairs on my vehicle. Before I knew my vehicle was getting repo 'd I did schedule XXXX payments off {$400.00} and my recurring payment of {$330.00}. Later on that evening they took my vehicle and I contacted SNAAC to see what all I 'd have to do in order to get it back. They were like, you 'll get an email. Did n't receive any thing until a couple of days later. Payments were made and my account was back in good standing but still had difficulties on their customer service support side. They were all rude and unprofessional. I 'm in the XXXX and the last thing I need is to be without a vehicle. On the XXXX of XXXX I received my vehicle back paying a total of {$430.00} in towing fees and storage I guess. Today, XXXX XXXX, I get an official letter from SNAAC which is a " NOTICE OF OUR PLAN TO SELL PROPERTY '' letter with my vehicle id number and information. There 's a box checked off which states " WE WILL SELL THE VEHICLE AT A PRIVATE SALE SOMETIME AFTER 10 DAYS FROM XXXX/XXXX/2016. ASALE COULD INCLUDE A LEASE OR LICENSE. '' Not understanding why this is happening to me.

As you probably know, XXXX is not a good choice when it comes to getting a loan or settling issues with these guys. Recently my car was repossessed due to inaccurate information given as well as deceitful tactics to get payments out of me. recently I just came back from XXXX and my finances were were not in order. So im basically playing catch up. I spoke to rep. in XXXX regarding my payments as I was 4 months behind. I told the rep I could pay 2 months which totaled out to be XXXX. She then said I qualified for a deferment program since a years worth of payments on time and my account would be current.. needless to say I never saw those deferment documents after calling and asking about it nobody seem to know anything. So with that being said My car was charged off and repossessed because of non payment. I wen tot an organization that was willing to pay the amount owed to get my car out of repossession status. The rep I spoke with was fully aware of what we discussed I repeated the terms over and over and she agreed and told if I paid that amount my car would be released to me. So the company called to get the car she had no recollection of what I was talking about so that 's twice in a matter of months either their incompetent or full of scams. Ive read one too many stories about this company.

I feel as if I shouldnt have to pay the remaining balance thats due on the car. I was trying my best to catch up the car payments and I made a {$1000.00} payment and they still repossessed the vehicle after I spoke with a gentleman on the phone letting him know I was doing everything possible to bring my status to current. Yes I understand that you have to make the payments on anything youre leasing or loaning but I was out of work and then my daughter was going through a crisis and I had to take off time to get her mental status at a point I could return to work or school. I was at the school registering when I came out the car has already been gone and it made it almost impossible to get my daughters to school or myself for that matter. I could understand if I wasnt trying but I was. I even overdrawn my XXXX XXXX account XXXX $ just to keep the car. They gave me other options to try to get the car back but i wasnt approved for anything but I felt it wouldve been easier to just allow me to keep the car due to me receiving my taxes shortly after. I couldnt afford to pay the past balance, repossession fees, holding fee, and big down payment for insurance so I was unable to pick up the vehicle before it was optioned off.

In XXXX of XXXX, my husband and I were checking our score due to needing to find another vehicle. We noticed an account with Security National ( SNAAC ) was considered CLOSED and showing no payments for all of XXXX were made at all. This is inaccurate as we have proof of payment history and the account is very much still open. My husband was XXXX during a time the vehicle was repoed for non payment in XXXX, but we fully paid the amounts own for those months in XXXX of XXXX. I called SNAAC and they said that regardless if were in good standings with them, they cant go back and show its still active/open. I called XXXX in XXXX of XXXX and filed a dispute. They came back reporting that SNAAC will not fix the issue and that they said weve made one payment in XX/XX/XXXX and never fixed the year of XXXX. I spoke with a supervisor of SNAAC today, XXXX XXXX, and he said there was not much he could do and that they will not show the status as active/open. This is TRULY hurting my credit score and I dont feel they are treating us fairly. I feel as if we shouldnt have to pay for a loan if its not going to help our credit score and they need to pay for the detrimental damage they have caused to myself, my husband, and my family.

I purchased a XXXX Cheverolet Cobalt back XX/XX/XXXX when I was XXXX in the Air Force in XXXX Georgia XXXX. The car was overpriced and they charged me a very high interest rate. The payments were paid via an allotment directly from my paycheck. I paid the payments faithfully while in active duty. In XXXX I XXXX could no longer make the payments. I contacted Security National XXXX to see if they would defer my payment until I could find employment, but they refused to work with me. The eventually repossed the car and resold it to another buyer. I have not seen or heard anything from them since, but they have added this to my credit report as a charge-off and have an outstanding balance of {$8300.00}. I feel that this is unfair especially since the car has been resold and I did pay for the car faithfully when in the Air Force and did try to work out an arrangement with them, which they refused. I am asking CFPB to please assist me in getting this removed from my credit report. I would like to purchase another vehicle but this has prevented me from gettng approved for financing over the years. I appreciate any help that your agency can provide. Thanking you in advance.

I purchase a XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX in XXXX Georgia. On XX/XX/2005. It was then financed by Security National Automotive Acceptance Corporation. At an interest rate of 13.90 and finance charges of XXXX which bring the total sale amount to {$24000.00}. At the time I did not understand credit or interest rate at the time I was a XXXX-year-old just enlisted into the military and was in need of vehicle to travel back and forth to work. When I was XXXX XXXX out of the military contact Security National Automotive Acceptance Corporation to inform them that I was no longer in the military and to stop the automatic draft that I had set up for years they refused to stop the automatic draft and my account was overdraft 4 times without my consent at the time I told them all so they could come pick up the vehicle and then that's when they told me they did not want the vehicle back and that it was no good I told him about all the maintenance that I had to do and all of the recalls on this vehicle. I tried also returning the vehicle back to XXXX XXXX 3 days after purchase they refuse to take it back due to the fact it was an as-is sale with no warranty

On XXXX XXXX, XXXX I got approved for a car loan with XXXX loan agency. The dealership " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' in XXXX, XXXX made it seem like this was the best decision that I would ever make in my life. I had just gotten to my duty station which is XXXX XXXX, and I was very desperate to get a car not knowing about interest rates. It was my first time making a big purchase like that but it was my only way to support my family at the time. XXXX agency needs to be shut down I have a 19 % APR which was never discussed with the dealership it 's so sad that they do this to young adults. I just turned XXXX and came straight out of training trying to build some credit. I just realized after struggling to make payments every month and on time at that, I literally only paid off XXXX due to the interest rate, in reality since XXXX XXXX, XXXX I paid off more than XXXX. I just need some satisfaction on how can I get a lower interest rate, will snacc XXXX agency finally get shut down? This is n't right to the young adults that ca n't talk about anything with their families and have to do everything on their own. I need some justification. What should I do next?

Security National Automotive Acceptance Company XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX , Ohio XXXX ext XXXX On XXXX XXXX I filed a deferral for my car payment due to the fact that I unexpectedly lost my job. Since then, I have file d 5 c redit disputes ( probably more ) because SNAAC has not reported my payments correctly to the credit bureaus. The XXXX payment shows up as a late payment and my payments after XXXX a'rent even reporting. I have made all of my payments on time but because its not showing up on my credit reports correctly, my score drops tremendously. SNAAC has told me that its the Credit Bureaus fault and the Credit Bureau are telling me to contact SNAAC. I am being ran in a circle and my problem is n't getting fixed. I have been working diligently to fix my credit and this is very distressing. After i file the dispute, my account is made current but the following month, it reports incorrectly. My credit score goes up to 630 and as soon as SNAAC reports it drops back down 560 and i have t o dispute again. For almost 5 months now, this has been going on.

I got a vehicle loan in XXXX from Security National Automotive Acceptance. I had been in contact with this company in XXXX to come pick the car up because it was not working. I was told through email " the car is not worth the pick up value. '' I got out the military and moved back to XXXX where I have been living and working. I was notified on XXXX XXXX that my wages from my job at XXXX would be garnished. I called the payroll department because I could n't understand why my wages were being garnished for a loan I had 10 yrs ago. I was informed by the payroll specialist that " the garnishment is illegal because you live in XXXX and under federal law XXXX residents are not subject to creditor wage garnishments. '' The payroll specialist also informed me that she had to " code it AS IF it were a student loan to force it through. '' I am asking for help with this matter because not only is this debt 10 years old but I no longer have the car and I also tried to give the car bad years ago.

On XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from a debt collector at Security National Automotive Association Corporation to settle a debt. I came to a payment arrangement to pay a certain amount on the XX/XX/XXXX and to set up automatic payments using the same card for the XXXX and XXXX of ever month. I received email confirmation of such. No automatic payments were taken out since then and on XX/XX/XXXX they repossessed my car without notice. I have called and tried to express this error to them and I was referred to my account manager who either wasnt there or wouldnt pick up the phone. I was told that no one could help me with this issue besides my account manager who still has not called me back. I would like to settle this debt as Ive already missed a day of work. This is a stressful situation and Im very tired of waiting on them while my account accrues more and more fees by the day. I dont even know where my car is because I could not talk to anyone about this issue.

I am not being supplied an accurate account of my payment history. My online account is not reflecting any of the payments I have made in the last 30 days, which amounts to approximately {$1900.00}. I have called SNAAC to request my payment history be emailed to me, as they have done in the past, I get told that it will be sent to me, but I receive nothing ( which I find very unusual ). My Auto financing lender ( SNAAC ) stated that I owe a certain amount of money to complete the balance owed on my vehicle, however, when I have requested clarity in form of a written statement, stating the exact balance, they have failed to effectively communicate the Facts, but instead have continued to ask for money. I do n't trust that I 'm being given correct information, and I fear that I might be asked to pay More than what I am actually financially responsible for. I appreciate your assistance in looking into, and your help in resolving, this matter. Thanks

I paid off my vehicle loan with SNAAC, however the very last payment history that was sent to me along with my paid in full letter, reflects very obviously inaccurate data and much more was owed back to me in overage than {$88.00} as can be calculated from the payment history sheet. The principle balance owed and the principle balanced paid have a difference of {$1400.00}, yet only an {$88.00} overage is reported and was paid. Also on the principle balance side of the sheet on XXXX2016 the principle owed reflects XXXX then somehow jumps to {$1600.00} on XXXX/XXXX/2016. Which implies to me that even more than just {$1400.00} was taken from me in overages. Also there are multiple charges marked " other '' that have not been explained to me, my online account has not been updated in months even upon request, and my phone calls have not been returned from customer service about my complaints.

Harrasments and threats went on for a year or so of being able to pay when i could. Even after they came on base and took the vehicle, i couldn't talk to anybody about and adjusted payment. So when i finally got my large sum of EAS money i was ready to give them a offer. But was turned down. Over the past year, I have been trying to slowly work on my credit report. And the inquiry reports, funds not receivable.

I refinanced my auto loan. On XXXX XXXX I overnighted a check to SNAAC. On XXXX XXXX I called to verify they received the payment for the full loan amount and to make sure they would not pull funds from my account. I was told that no payments would be taken because they did receive the check. In fact, I was informed that I had a XXXX dollar credit that would be sent to be my mail. I was lied to. my full regular loan payment was withdrawn on XX/XX/XXXX despite being told that would not happen. Luckily I had the funds in my account, but with it being SATURDAY I am left with little to take care of my family this weekend. I called my bank but the process on their end takes up to 45 calendar days. I am really disgusted that a company can do this to people. I was given a blatent lie, and I feel like they told me what I needed to hear to get me to go away.

I paid well over XXXX to get the car back and now I see that on our credit report. We filled a despuit with the credit place and they came back to say the same thing. Now just this month we got an email that we didnt pay and it hit our credit again. They been doing this since XXXX. Now my car broke down and now we cant get into anything else due to our credit being low becuase of them reporting us late or not paying at all. We we have prove that we have paid every month and the month I was XXXX and took the car.

This particular account situation that is lately filing on my own credit document has a seriously unfavorable relation to my personal ability to obtain a present loan application. I highly recommend you generate verification that Credit Union has been reported completely in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act regulations, it's really a serious problem to misreport. More confirmation of the aforesaid item too. My proper request must over, I was never 30 days/60 days/120 days late in any of my payments and I'm not greatly tuned in to the date opened so I prefer to ask you be investigated as soon as possible and confirmed to be correct. When I contacted the company they say that they report every 30 days. The car was paid off before they report. I also made a complaint with the bbb and they said it takes about 30-45 days to report but also as I mentioned they have not been reporting.

snaac is re-aging an old debt for the amount of XXXX. It is hurting my credit worthiness. It is stating that the account was opened on XXXX 2011 and that is untrue. This is an illegal practice and I would appreciate if it was deleted from all major credit bureaus immediately. I have called this company on XX/XX/XXXX and and XX/XX/XXXX they would not listen or try to resolve. I have also been threatened by this company to take all my property in court and they also continued to contact me and family members after I stated not to contact me

In XXXX 2014 I was in XXXX and was notified that I was to be XXXX. Knowing this I knew that I would no longer be able to pay for the car loan I had. I then called SNAAC to have the car voluntarily repossessed. They got the car a week later and that 's when I started to receive calls to restart my allotment to pay for the car. They told me that if I did not pay my debt that they would then call my commander due to being in violation of UCMJ for not paying my debts. I did not know what they did was illegal until I came across your article.

I was having a hardship paying my car payment and SNAAC didnt offer a payment plan or a lower payment for longer. They just said to get an XXXX XXXX XXXX loan which is not for withstanding debt. I called to try to give them my credit card and the Customer Service Agent said it wasnt accepting it because it was declined before but I had money at the time. I have two loans through them and I accidentally payed for the wrong car. The one that was wrecks with no insurance so I have been paying on it anyways since 2015.

They say we owe XXXX online, XXXX on the paper they sent us and 500 and something on the phone when they call. We only are past due XXXX dollars. They have the due date wrong in their system and whenever we fax the paperwork to have them change it they loose it each time and wont change it to the correct one. They are now telling us we are 3 payments behind and we are not. Im so tired of this company.

SNAAC has been charging me late fees of XXXX per month and somehow is saying the late fees are now equal to {$490.00} but I have been charged the late fee in the monthly payment. They are also stating that the {$420.00} repossession fee is the third party fee for calling the company to pick the vehicle up. After talking to the third party they stated they have no set fee however SNAAC is still not removing the fee. They are overcharging me on the payments and then still charging me late fees

From XX/XX/XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX I received multiple calls a day from SNAAC in an attempt to collect a debt. Sometimes they would call three or four times a day. They even went so far as to call people that I used to associate with even though I have told them in the past only to call me. These calls are disrespectful and disruptive.
