I have been receiving text messages from the company Scranton Recovery Group ( SRG ). The text messages are coming from a number listed as XXXX and states " Person 's Name you have ignored our chance to locate you, this is a time sensitive matter. Call XXXX file # XXXX. 'STOP ' to opt out. '' I have already opted out and the person listed is not me so today ( XX/XX/23 ) at XXXX, I decided to call into the number and ask who was contacting me. The representative would not advise me the company name, continue to talk over me repeatedly just saying the same phrase over and over again and that he was not going to tell me any information because i was over talking him and that he needed a notice number. Finally he said that was with a company called SRG, when I asked for him to elaborate because I couldn't find it on XXXX he continue to talk over me and I was so frustrated I told him to get XXXX himself. He was over talking me and would only repeat what he had already said and would leave XXXX room for me to speak or respond and when I would get a chance to respond he would immediately jump into talking over me and telling me that he didnt have to provide me his name or the elaborate on the business information for me to submit a letter in writing to remove my contact information from their company since I am not that person. It doesnt state they are a debt collection company in their text message, the representative never disclosed they were a debt collection company, he refused to provide me with any information on the company. Luckily I was able to locate the company name after replying STOP to the phone number that sent me the message again.
