I enrolled in BEYOND finance Debt Relief program in XX/XX/2019, with the hopes of paying off credit card debt. The goal was to get the credit card companies to settle for 50 %, so along with BEYOND 's service fees ( approximately 20 % ), I might ultimately save myself around 30 % off my total debt. In late XXXX, 2019, I was contacted three ways ; by mail, over the internet and verbally over the phone by BEYOND employees with a proposed settlement offer with a credit card company. An offer was available and required my approval to move forward. My original credit card balance in XX/XX/2019 was {$4400.00} but had now soared to over $ 5k with interest and late fees. The proposed offer was to settle for a total of {$2900.00} payable to the bank card company in 3 monthly installments. {$2900.00} was not 50 % of the original {$4400.00} nor the current $ XXXX so this offer was not acceptable, so I declined it both in writing and over the phone. Over the next 2-3 months, I was contacted by BEYOND employees over 8 times asking and in some cases pressuring me into accepting the credit card payoff offer. Each time I emphatically said " No '' and asked them to quit asking me as I had no intention of ever excepting that offer as it was not within the original goal range. XX/XX/2019 I received a letter from the credit card company thanking me for settling the account for {$2900.00}. I called the credit card company and they explained BEYOND had paid them 3 monthly installments with my funds that I did not authorize and had emphatically declined. The credit card company refused to return the funds and to be honest why would they at this point as they have already been paid. I also learned that not only did BEYOND make 3 unauthorized payments without my consent they also paid themselves a nice 20+ % fee for doing such. I strongly suspect making unauthorized disbursements from my account is not only unethical but are probably unlawful as well. I'll learn more on this subject once I shop for an attorney so I called BEYOND. They offered no real excuse or responsibility for the incident, but seemed to try to shift the focus of attention off their methods by implying they got me a great deal and saved me a lot of money and deepened it by turning around and asking me why I would not except the deal when it was offered. I do not think it really matters why I did not want to accept the offer, the whole point is that I declined it 8-10 times and BEYOND processed it anyway. It occurred to me the real reason they called so many times over the past 2-3 months was possibly the hope I would agree to the original offer as to conceal their unlawful actions, so I terminated their service. I was then telephone transferred to the on-duty manager who on a recorded phone line seemed genuine concerned and agreed to close my account and refund all monies paid to include the unauthorized and potentially illegal transactions. The next day another BEYOND manager called me on a recorded phone line and informed me the original agreement made the previously day was no longer valid and the best offers he could make today are a return of their 20 % fee and a half baked effort to try to persuade the credit card company to return the funds. They would not be responsible for {$2900.00} unauthorized money transfers made by their employees. They also were hoping I would reconsider terminating their service and remain a " valued customer ''. I already knew the credit card company would not be returning a cent and I would be crazy to remain a client of BEYOND. Again BEYOND managers offered up no real explanations on how or why this happened nor did they except any form of responsibility over the matter just tried to shift the focus on why I was not in favor of the offer in the first place and why I would not agree to their fix to the problem. I checked my paperwork and I did sign a " Limited Power of Attorney '' for BEYOND to " negotiate '' only, possible settlements, said nothing about paying or dispersing my funds without my authorization and against my will.

In the attempts to become debt free I enrolled all my debt with the company Beyond Finance on XX/XX/XXXX with the total amount of debt of {$26000.00}. I have never missed a payment with them. One of the agreements when signed up with their program was that I would never pay any of the debt collectors any money regardless of them attempting to settle with me and to ignore their attempts at contact because Beyond Finance was the expert and they would handle every account for me. I trusted them with my money yet I was served papers at my home for the largest account that is being managed by XXXX XXXX. The total debt was XXXX. Since I was served papers and felt in that point I wasnt being properly represented because I was served paperwork. They again reassured me everything was handled, and that they would contact XXXX and handle it. On XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX I was informed from an associate of Beyond Finance that they contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX and a settlement had been reached with XXXX XXXX after they had served me papers for {$6800.00}, which I had in my savings account. I asked the beyond associate if they would take any less if i paid them with one lump sum, but was told the amount would still be {$6800.00} and opted for the monthly payments versus draining my emergency funds. I was told that my biweekly payments of {$250.00} would need to be increased to cover the settlement because there would not be enough funds after paying the other settlements. They then increased my biweekly payments to {$540.00} and have been paying them this amount since XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, with absolutely no notice, XXXX garnished {$6900.00} from my XXXX account and wiped every last dollar I had in my checking and savings account leaving me with negative funds and not a single dollar. Today, XX/XX/XXXX my wife and I received a letter that XXXX XXXX attempted to take funds from my wife and Is joint account but there was no funds available. I have left several messages for XXXX XXXX XXXX to see what happened and attempt to prepare for what is happening next and am waiting to hear back from Beyond Finance on how this could have happened and what to expect next. This has been devastating for my family and I am at a loss on what I should do next. I work full time, I pay all of my bills on time and I went from trying to become debt free to not knowing if Ill be able to make a mortgage payment because I am not being represented the way I was promised. My wife and I have no idea what to expect when our paychecks are being deposited tomorrow and if we are completely wiped out with no way to pay for food, childcare, our mortgage or our utilities we will be in an ultimate hardship

I began work with S & N Debt Solutions to work on settling three credit card accounts that I was not financially able to clear on my own. Two with XXXX were settled successfully. The last account was negotiated with XXXX XXXX from an original balance of {$6000.00} to a settlement of {$3000.00} with payments to begin in XXXX of XXXX and to end in XXXX of XXXX. Payments were directly debited from my checking account each month. Payments were successfully debited from my account each month with the exception of XXXX XXXX. My account did not have sufficient funds for that payment, and the payment was never recouped by S & N. I received a letter from XXXX XXXX dated XXXX XXXX, XXXX that my account had been sold to a collection agency, XXXX XXXX XXXX. Upon receiving the letter, I contacted both XXXX XXXX and S & N on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I was told by XXXX XXXX that the settlement offer was canceled after three returned payments, in XXXX of XXXX, XXXX and XXXX of XXXX. The agent told me that the notation on the payments was " not authorized '' which indicated the payments were likely canceled by the third party debt agency since it would otherwise show " insufficient funds. '' After calling S & N, I was initially told that the settlement offer with XXXX XXXX was canceled after a returned payment from XXXX and that notes indicated a negotiator was attempting to re-work the offer. Upon being transferred to a supervisor, I was told that XXXX XXXX had actually cancelled the offer after the missed XXXX payment which I acknowledge was missed. However, that is contradictory to what XXXX XXXX tells me, and I was never notified by S & N about the settlement being canceled so I could attempt to remedy the situation. Acccording to my balance history in the account set up for settlement payments, my balance was {$210.00} at the time the XXXX XXXX payment of {$10.00} was made to XXXX XXXX. In addition, the balance on XXXX XXXX, XXXX was {$240.00}, but a payment was not made to XXXX XXXX. S & N refused to send me documentation of contact attempts made to XXXX XXXX on my behalf to make that payment. While there was not a balance in the account to make the XXXX payment, I do not understand why the XXXX or the XXXX payment would have been rejected and/or not paid. I have paid {$660.00} in settlement fees and monthly fees to S & N on this account which has now been turned over to collection for {$5100.00}. I have already paid {$970.00} toward the settlement and would have only owed {$2000.00} if the payments had been made by S & N as expected. I am now faced with a 7 year blemish on my credit file along with a balance that is over {$3000.00} more than I would have paid otherwise.

Dear Sir/Madam : I am writing this complaint about Beyond Finance, a debt management company with whom I entered an agreement with in XX/XX/XXXX. This company proclaimed to serve as a mediator with my creditors and guaranteed me they would settle my debt without it going to collection so that I only had to pay one low monthly payment of {$460.00}. The asked me to sign a contract and told me to STOP paying my creditors and STOP taking my creditor 's phone calls. I expressed concern about not communicating with my creditors and the representative explained that I should refer the calls to Beyond Finance. I followed their guidance and stopped making payments on the accounts that were part of the settlement agreement and I even wrote a letter to the creditors giving authorization for Beyond Finance to communicate on my behalf. Beyond Finance contacted me around XX/XX/XXXX and informed me that one of the creditors, XXXX XXXX, agreed to the settlement and that payments to XXXX XXXX would begin in XX/XX/XXXX. I felt relieved that XXXX XXXX and Beyond Finance reached a settlement agreement on my behalf. Unfortunately on XX/XX/XXXX I received an alert on my credit report that XXXX XXXX " charged off '' my balance. I disputed this verbiage because Beyond Finance representatives assured me that all settled accounts would show " settled '' balance. The dispute was overturned and the language remained. On XX/XX/XXXX I brought this to the attention of Beyond Finance in an email. They left me a voicemail to call them. When I finally called on XX/XX/XXXX, I told the representative that Beyond Finance misrepresented their services and that I wanted to cancel my contract. I also told them to refund my payments. I feel like I have been defrauded by Beyond Finance. I am furious that I wasted money and time when I could have worked out other payment arrangements with my creditors on my own.. So far they collected payments for XXXX, XXXX and XXXX and they did not deliver on their promise. Please investigate this company. Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you soon.

My husband got sick with XXXX and could not work so we had to use credit cards to buy groceries and his medication. We also had a water main break at the house and that was costly. When our bills became to much we reached out to a company called beyondfinance.com to consolidate our credit cards. All they did was collect our money of over {$3000.00} and have only sent a little over {$300.00} to one of our creditors. One creditor they ignored and the creditor was going to take us to court so we had to take out a loan to pay that creditor off. We told Beyond Finance to take the {$3000.00} and pay off the other two creditors and they refuse to do so. We have called 4 times. They said over {$1600.00} of the money belongs to Beyond for us being a client. We do not think they are going to settle any of our accounts that they are just collecting money for themselves. We ask for a refund and they said only thing they can refund is {$1000.00} of the {$3000.00} because the rest belongs to Beyond Finance.

I enrolled four accounts in a debt settlement program with Beyond Finance in XXXX, XXXX. In XXXX, I removed two accounts from the program. I paid upwards of {$500.00} per month into an escrow account, for a current total of {$3900.00}. As of XX/XX/XXXX, they had not settled either of the remaining accounts. On XX/XX/XXXX, I asked to close my account and have the money in my escrow account returned immediately. The customer service representative I spoke with said that the full amount in my escrow account would be returned to my bank account within 7-10 business days. Today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) marks 10 business days, and the amount has not been deposited in my account. I spoke to two separate customer service representatives on the phone, one of whom said that my account was still pending and the second of whom said that I should receive my money no later than Monday ( XX/XX/XXXX ).

I agree to pay XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX a certain amount for 3 years, then I offer to pay them more to pay it off early starting with my very first payment. I paid them more than what they ask for, did the full 3 years on time, one month before my 3 years is up they call to tell me they made a mistake and that they misquote me and I need to agree to pay them for another 5 to 6 months. I told them that was their problem if anything they owe me, I wasnt supposed to do 3 years. My last bill they said they wasnt going to pay or negotiated on unless I pay them for another 5 to 6 months, I told them Im not agreeing to it so they sent it to a Collection Agency.

There was no box to check for this debt settlement company. Having combined two credit cards my enrolled balance was {$22000.00} to pay off over 36 months back in XX/XX/2019. Usually these companies tell you that you will pay around 50-60 % of the balance. However, after the last card settled, in total I would be paying out {$21000.00} a whopping savings of 1.4 %. Based on their calculator on their website, they show bogus savings amounts. I asked them to lower my next 17 payments but they refused.

Beyond Finance placed a hard inquiry on my credit report on XX/XX/2018. I was told this would be a soft inquiry to see where my credit stood. Once i pulled my XXXX report i fond the hard inquiry. I have sent a letter to Beyond Finance to remove but they have not responded and i also called them on XX/XX/XXXX but did not receive the call back that was promised. Thanks, XXXX XXXX XXXX

I signed up with this company to help resolve debt load and pay it off. They collected my money for months and did nothing. It has ruined my credit. Then they finally admitted they only negotiate settlements when they get enough in thier accounts to pay off a debt. It doesn't work like XXXX where they will make payments and help settlement on the accounts.
