This is regarding a collections attempt for a personal/consumer debt of approximately {$18000.00}. The collection agency is Central Mediation Services. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX,, NY XXXX, ( XXXX ) XXXX. On XX/XX/19 my place of employment received a call from XXXX XXXX and spoke very aggressively with my business partner saying they were trying to serve me papers. He said if I didnt call him back they would send someone to my place of work tomorrow. He got his contact information and I promptly called back. I spoke with Mr. XXXX and asked him to remove my office/work number from the list. He then told me his client wanted to make an offer. I politely told him I wasnt in a position to make that decision yet. At that point he raised his voice and started to belittle and threaten me. I told him he could call me back tomorrow with my decision. He then hang up and called my office number again and spoke with my business partner and started to yell and belittle him also and go into detail about the debt that I owed, the settlement offer he gave and that he would start seizing my assets. After I had requested him to NOT call my office again. He then proceeded to call my phone again and again several times. I called him back and asked for his compliance department. I was contacted by XXXX XXXX XXXX on Thursday XX/XX/2018 a very detailed voicemail was left. The lady stated that she was calling from XXXX XXXX XXXX Economic Crimes Department, in her message she said her name was XXXX XXXX, XXXX ( I'm not really sure she was really hard to understand ) she said she was contacting me regarding a criminal complaint that has been filed against me in regards to stolen property, this complaint goes against my name and social. She said that it is imperative that I call her immediately at ( XXXX ) XXXX. She said that I have been legally notified in accordance with all federal and state laws and to govern myself accordingly. Immediately contacted this representative back, I let her know that prior to her contacting me I was working with another representative XXXX who was taking {$150.00} payments from my checking account every month and those payments have since stopped. I let XXXX know that I tried to contact XXXX after the payments stopped but the number was no longer in service. XXXX rudely interrupted me she let me know that I was in possession of stolen property and That I need to pay the total amount owed or this will go to court. I tried to explain to XXXX again that I have been trying to make good on what I owed but the other agency disappeared. XXXX repeated herself again stating I was in possession of stolen property and that I needed to pay this debt in full and that she is in the mediation department she is not a collector. Since I was at work I asked her to hold while I go to my car to speak to her privately. When I got into my car my phone automatically connected to the Bluetooth in my car. I let XXXX know that I can't pay the full balance that I can only make partial monthly payments on what I owe every month. XXXX then got extremely stern with me she told me that she did not understand why I was recording the call that it was " annoying '' she said that the debt had to paid in full she told me to get a lawyer and hung up the phone on me .... Meanwhile the call was not being recorded it was just connected to my Bluetooth in my car. I was in shock, I could not believe how she spoke to me. So I immediately called back the phone went straight to voicemail, I left a very detailed message sating that I don't understand why I was hung up on when I'm trying to pay what I owe in payments as appose to full payments. I never got a call back from the voicemail I left. Two days later I called and a lady answered I asked to speak with XXXX 's supervisor because I did not agree with the way the Mediation rep handled our conversation, she then placed me on hold for 2 minutes and my call was forwarded to a voicemail.

A man from a company he calls Central Mediation Services contacted me regarding a debt that is over {$2000.00}. He asked me to set up payments of {$100.00} on a biweekly basis. I did, because I do have unpaid debt and I thought it was one of those accounts. He told me he could not give me information on the original account holder. However, he stated I would receive an email document with information regarding this debt. I never received it. I have complied with my payments. I called today, XX/XX/2017, to ask for a change of date on my payment due to a low paycheck I will be receiving this pay period. He became abusive because I sniffled on the phone when he said I had to make a larger payment than I could afford. He said I had to come up with the money somehow. I said fine, and he said he would add the remaining amount of my payment from one week from today only if I gave a payment I could n't afford this pay period. I said fine, I may just have to sell an item from my house or something to come up with the payment. At that point he said, " Do n't come up with this sob story about selling something from my house. I will not move your payment. You got yourself into this situation so now you have to deal with it. '' I said " I 'm sorry I did n't mean to come across that way. '' He raised his voice and started saying, " Where do you live, in Southern California? Is that how it is down there with you people. '' I said, " You do n't need to be rude. Fine, I will figure out how to give my payment this pay period. '' And he said, " I 'm not being rude you people get into this mess and you think you can cry and fix it. '' I said, " Fine I will be recording this conversation. Please send me documentation to verify this account so I know who you are and who I am sending my payment to. '' He said, " I will, to your email address, XXXX '' I said yes, " i would like to share that information with my attorney. '' he said, " do n't threaten me with an attorney and yes i will send your documentation. ' i have not received this documentation and I am concerned about the abusive language he used. I feel uncomfortable and do n't know who I am sending my payment to. He said " this is restitution to avoid a Court proceeding and you made an agreement. '' I am concerned that if I do n't send a payment they will send me to Court. But I do n't know if this is a valid debt and I am really worried about the language used in the phone call -- it does n't seem to be coming from a legitimate source. I can not afford an attorney. Can you please help me?

First I want to point out that this complaint is not about the original creditor XXXX. This complaint is related to the third party collector, Central Mediation Services. I did default on the loan initially taken out for {$800.00} total with finance charges {$2000.00}. I received a call from XXXX, phone XXXX on XX/XX/2019. He left a rude message stating he did not know what I had gotten myself into and threatened to show up to my job and home to serve me papers which scared me. He threatened I would be sued for fraud, etc. He also left my full social security number, address and SC Drivers License number on my voicemail. He left a phone number to call back, XXXX. When I called this number the same day I was transferred to XXXX XXXX at Central Mediation Services. We got off on the wrong foot and I admit I was skeptical and upset. He initially hung up on me. I called back and ended up being pressured into making a payment arrangement for payments that I could not afford. XXXX XXXX and XXXX sounded like the same person to be honest. I was transferred to XXXX who took the payment arrangements and then hung up on me. I was promised paperwork in XXXX hours. I had to call Central Mediation Services back today XX/XX/2019 and request the paperwork. When I got the paperwork I first noticed it had the wrong account number for my XXXX account. I called XXXX and they said that my account had been sold to XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I did call and leave a message for XXXX XXXX XXXX. I also replied to the email that sent the paperwork over and asked how Central Mediation Services is related to XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) contacted me by phone from XXXX. He was nice at first answering my questions but ended up telling me my questions were XXXX, said that I should not have taken the loan out, that I did not want to payback the loan and was overall very unprofessional and pushy. He belittled me basically. I asked for a better payment and for the payments to start in XXXX and he stated you have had two years to make a payment and you haven't. He said he was going to recommend XXXX XXXX XXXX proceed with legal action. He also stated that he was cancelling the payment arrangement. I told him that I had left a message for XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was asking for a lower payment and the payments to start in XXXX. Honestly, I thought the entire thing was a scam, he never really explained how XXXX and XXXX are related. Every person I spoke affiliated with Central Mediation Services used scare tactics and threatened me with legal action.

The call is coming from " CMS '' ( XXXX ). The rep who is " handling '' my case is " XXXX XXXX ''. XXXX says they are attempting to collect a debt on behalf of XXXX. In XXXX 2015, I did take out a payday loan - in person. No online application submitted. After the threatening phone call, I was to pay {$250.00} soon ( upcoming payday ), or the amount would increase over $ 1000+ ... The company ( CMS ) address provided, as per my request was : XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NY XXXX. The " DOS '' they 've quoted me is XX/XX/XXXX/2015 ; however this is so very inaccurate. I 've asked for info via email and of course they created a faux document which I still have in my email. They said to avoid being served papers at my work, I need to call XXXX ; naively, I did so and spoke with an " XXXX '' ... and fearfully, I provided her with my debit card # to be charged later that week. [ Initially my case # given was : XXXX. However, now that they 're calling me at work again, the case # differs ( XXXX ) ].

I had a funny feeling and remember hearing about fake payday loan companies who go after people attempting to collect for an old payday loan. So, I decided to do research and look-up the info given during the call with " CMS '' ; I then contacted XXXX directly. I s/w with the rep there who said she 'd provide my call back info to their Corp office ; later that day, I received a call from XXXX from XXXX XXXX corp office. She states the collection agency/company third-party that they use is XXXX XXXX. She says their collection attempts to not include harassing phone calls and, more importantly, they do not include a company " CMS ''. XXXX states this is not the company they use for collection.

Once knowledge had been received from XXXX XXXX corporate office, I cancelled my direct deposit to avoid being charged by CMS. Later that day, I called CMS back and spoke w/ the 'case manager XXXX XXXX ' . I told him that I spoke w/ XXXX and their info differed from that of which XXXX had provided. He began to go on and on about his legitimacy ; I just said " ok, uh-huh ... and he asked if the payment would still be made on my payday, I said Yeahhh surree ... The calls stopped for a few weeks until 2-3 weeks ago. Everyday they call me at WORK! It 's quite embarrassing ... they 're so anxious to s/w me so they can avoid serving me at work ... why not at home? And since I 've ignored their calls and voicemails, what are they waiting for?

Please help me to make this stop! PLEASE.

XXXX XXXX is repeatedly calling my cellphone and the HR department of my employer attempting to collect a debt. Per my rights I requested they mail any information related to this to me so that I can review since they stated they had all my personal information. They refused to do so. They told the HR department that they are XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX regarding a complaint against me # XXXX. After calling them back on XX/XX/XXXX to find out what they wanted they refused to send anything in writing and became aggressive and cussed at me saying not to call them back with this XXXX and that they no longer wanted to talk to me only to my supervisor. Transferred me to his manager XXXX XXXX. Ended up hanging up on me. I called back and told them not to call me or my employer again. Today is XX/XX/XXXX and I received two missed calls from them and they called the HR line again requesting to speak with my supervisor. I called the XXXX number back today XX/XX/XXXX around noon and ended up speaking to XXXX XXXX again and he insisted on me giving a statement of intent as he was investigating this for a client. I again asked to be mailed something regarding this issue and he refused saying he will not stop trying to reach my supervisor to talk some sense into me giving them some information since he had a papertrail of all of my private financial details. I mentioned to him that I dont know how he got any of my information since I dont know him or his company. He continued on about how this was a courtesy before taking next steps. Numbers contacted by them are ( XXXX ) XXXX and ( XXXX ) XXXX. I did an internet search on the internet and there are pages of accounts of the same type of scenario by many others posted on the web.

On XXXX XXXX, 2019 I was contact by Central Mediation Services four times in seven minutes. I finally answered on the fourth call for XXXX XXXX to ask if I received his voicemail. I still have the voicemail that he needed to meet me to serve me papers at my home or place of employment and to have an ID with me. He also said I could call ( XXXX ) XXXX to discuss as well, I called the number and spoke with XXXX XXXX. I had stop him as he immediately started in on why they were calling that I was being served a demand letter. I had to ask who his company was as he did not identify them. He then said I was being served a judgement. I kept asking if was I being served a demand letter ( which would normally be sent by mail since its not a court document ) or a judgement ( which would have to be signed by a judge in a court of law after a hear & I was never served with papers saying I was being sued, so there could be no judgement. ) There are so many violations of the FDCPA ; Harassing phone calls ( 4x in seven minutes ), false representation of serving papers, no information on how to verify what they were saying, telling me a cease and desist letter for contacting me wouldnt work. From what I can gather about the loan theyre talking about it would be an illegal loan under Tennessee law so they couldnt collect. The loan company is not licensed to conduct business in Tennessee nor is Central Mediation Services licensed to conduct business or collect in Tennessee. I have mailed a cease and desist letter but the company is engaging in illegal collection activities.

Central Mediation Services .... I get phone calls from XXXX and they say they need to " serve me papers '' by XXXX on Wednesday XXXX XXXX . They started calling my work number on Monday XXXX XXXX . I asked them not to call my business number. She, XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX , called again saying she needed to serve me. They left a message on my cell number to call XXXX . When I call the XXXX number the line just beeps. When I call the XXXX number a difference individual answers each time, they do not say the name of the business and then are very ugly and state they do n't call and they outsource their calls and always get hung up on. I spoke with XXXX and XXXX at the XXXX number. My husband and I have both explained they are violating the law and can not call me at work and to serve the papers if that is what is needed. They called again on Tuesday and then today called several different people in my company stating they need to know how to go about serving me at work and they need to talk to HR and my supervisor. They called a bout 20 t imes. I asked them again to quit calling and XXXX stated they have the right under the FDC to call and when I asked for a supervisor I was hung up on. They would not divulge who the " outsource '' person was. At this point I am being harassed and I called The Federal Trade Commission and they stated it sounded like a scam but they can not file a complaint without a company name. This is going to cause problems for me at work. Any help you give would be appreciated.

Myself & my stepsister received a phone call from an XXXX XXXX XXXX. They claim to be looking for me so they can deliver me important papers from XXXX. I called the number back this morning & XXXX XXXX answered as XXXX. I told him that I was calling for XXXX XXXX XXXX & he informed me that XXXX is one of many couriers they use. I finally got him to tell me what the call was regarding & he told me I had an outstanding loan with XXXX XXXX XXXX that was taken out in XX/XX/2016. When I told him that I don't remember having a loan, nor do I have any communication from them, he said that the loan companies always play the victim part, but he still had a job to do & he had to collect a payment. I told him that I would not make any payments until I got verification of the debt. He told me he understood but if I didn't at least make payment arrangements, he'd have to mark me as default & they will have to take the next necessary steps. Although I contacted XXXX/XXXX, I got another call from a XXXX XXXX @ XXXX this evening, as did my step sister ( from my understanding, it is against the law to continue contacting friends & family members if the debtor has been located ), reminding us that they'll be delivering papers to me on Friday between XXXX-XXXX ( not sure if it's XXXX or XXXX ). I reached out to XXXX XXXX XXXX to send me verification of the debt in writing & as of this writing, they have refused to do so. XXXX would not provide me with an address, so I could not send any sort of cease & desist letter.

Two men have repeatedly called my cell phone, XXXX, work, XXXX, my spouse, XXXX, and my mother, XXXX, stating they must serve me with with court papers. The first man would not tell me who the sender was, but was polite. I initially thought it was related to my job, as I am often called to testify and served with subpoenas. Therefore, I confirmed my address and told him I would be home between XXXX and XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. However, no one arrived. Today, I received numerous calls to my personal cell phone and my business line, which were noted as a " spam risk '' on the display. I repeatedly rejected them, but after 4 attempts I answered. A ruds man yelled at me and announced my social security number and DOB. He stated I should be ashamed that at XXXX years of age he had to " hunt me down ''. He refused to provide any information other than to state he was serving me with legal papers and I hung up. He left threatening messages on my spouse 's voicemail and my cell and business lines, stating he would have the last laugh because he was in charge, not me. In another message he stated he would escort me to work and embarrass me. Yet another message stated he would contact my employer and the last straw was a message on my spouse 's phone stating he will have to serve my " nice looking elderly mother ''. The man left a number to call XXXX and case number XXXX. The number provided is for a business called Central Mediation Services. I do not believe I owe anything to this debt collector.

This company began calling me numerous times a day for months saying I was being sued for a loan account opened over a year prior. They also called my mom, who was not listed on the loan, telling her I was being served for legal purposes. I called back and made a payment arrangement with the company to stop the harassing calls. The agent I spoke to, XXXX XXXX, was rude and threatening during this process. My boyfriend was suspicious of the whole thing, so I decided to XXXX this company. Not a single legitimate thing came up regarding this company. False address, numerous scam complaints. I called the number back that I had used the day before, no answer, BUT the voicemail gave a different name and said the person was a floor supervisor. I called the number again and XXXX XXXX answered the phone. I told him that I closed the account that I gave them information for and that I contacted my attorney regarding them because they gave false information about the company and they had a false address. XXXX XXXX began yelling at me asking how googling their address had anything to do with this and that i just made things worse for myself by closing the bank account and cursing at me saying do you think I give a sh** about you paying back your loan? I told him my attorney would be contacting him and hung up. He then began calling me again from a different number and leaving voicemails.

I and my family ( current and past ) members have received harassing phone calls froma person identifying themselves as XXXX XXXX, phone number, XXXX with XXXX XXXX XXXX trying to get my address ( which they have already and have left on voicemail ) to deliver papers for a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ). They call my business phone repeatedly every day, sometimes several times in a row if no answer as well as my cell phone. I contacted XXXX and asked their address so that I could send them a cease and desist letter. The person I spoke with identified himself as XXXX and refused to give me the address due to security and privacy reasons. I continued to ask the address and he hung up on me. I called back and he continued to refuse to give me the address. Ten minutes later, I received 3 calls in a row at work and one on my cell phone from a different number, XXXX, left a message on my cell number advising he was the legal representation of XXXX and received a complaint on me and needed me to call back. I did not contact them again, as I didn't see the need in arguing over the phone whom was actually harassing whom. He identified himself as XXXX XXXX, phone number, XXXX XXXX.

He informed me that I was going to be taken to court for all of these charges if I did n't pay them or set up a payment arrangement giving them a credit card of bank account number. I asked for the name of his company and told him that I needed something in writing. He said I should know about the debt and if I did n't set anything up today then there was nothing that could be done about the file and I would be served. I asked the name of the company and he gave me " Central Mediation Services ''. They further went on to say that I would be served at my place of employment if I did n't comply.

I 've received numerous calls from the company about a payday loan that they said I took out on XX/XX/2015 ; which is false. The first agent on XXXX/XXXX/15 said that they have video footage of me walking into a store and taking out a loan never paying on it. I took out a loan 2 years ago and it was paid on. He said that a sheriff will serve me if I did n't pay {$460.00}. I did not pay. On XXXX/XXXX/15, while working I kept receiving unknown calls and I answered and said nothing and I heard a lady say fine I will keep calling all day. She called several times in a course of 3 minutes. I finally answered, and she said that a sheriff will serve me court papers today at my home and job for my coworkers to see. I told her that she was harassing me and asked for her information. She gave me XXXX XXXX, with a fake number, no address, and fake docket number. I later called back to get their address and they refused to give me their address. I have not received anything by mail informing me of this debt, just threatening phone calls.

We ( myself, my XXXX year old daughter and my old employer ) started receiving phone calls on XX/XX/XXXX regarding a past due payday loan that I don't recall having from XX/XX/XXXX. The calls were coming from a " process server '' saying that I was going to be served with papers between XXXX and XXXX XXXX either at my home or my work. My old employer was contacted three times as well as my daughter and myself. I did call the process server and got information on the company that set this up. The company is XXXX XXXX XXXX and they continue to call and leave messages on my daughter 's phone and mine even though I did call them back and asked them to discontinue the calls. When I called back they said that I had a loan that I owed for that they can now charge me three times the original balance and that the could charge me with check fraud. They have been scaring my daughter which upsets me. I have looked on my local district court website and there are no cases filed against me to even be served.

Approx one year ago, I had some fraudulent drafts on my bank account, which the bank reversed and I closed the account. I started receiving numerous aggressive phone calls from XXXX XXXX XXXX at home and at work, I informed them when they called me at work that I could not take personal calls at work, yet they called back today and spoke to one of my coworkers telling him that they would come to my work tomorrow and serve me papers and even gave him a case number, I have the note my coworker gave me. I called the company and told them to never call me at work or at home again, that this was a fraudulent case. XXXX XXXX kept telling me to just talk to him and I said no, this is the last communication we will have, I told him he was harassing me and threatening me, talking to my coworkers, giving them case numbers etc, he said '' we have to do what we can do to collect the debt '', then he hung up on me.Their phone number is XXXX. I have never received any written notification from them to date.

XXXX XXXX XXXX have repeatedly called family members and my employer to harass them stating that I was going to get a parcel on Wednesday containing legal documents. I called the company and asked them to cease and desist all calls and they said they would not do that unless I agreed to settle the debt. They also said legal action was pending in XXXX XXXX. I told them I already checked the court data base and I have no litigation. They said it wouldn't show up yet, because it was pending. I told them that they were breaking the law with their practices, and that they needed to cease and desist, and they refused, saying the law doesn't apply to their company and they will do what they want however they want to. I told them that I may be willing to settle the debt, if I see it in writing, and they said they would only send things in writing if I agreed to pay, and then said I " was a snake. '' I fomally dispute the debt.

I have been contacted, as well as my family members, repeatedly, sometimes 10 times a day by Central Mediation Services saying that they are going to serve me with papers. They have called for over a week ( XX/XX/XXXX through today, XX/XX/2019 ) They have even told my family if I don't contact them, that they may never see me again. This is not ok! I called them and they will not provide me with documentation of the debt. I will not provide them with personal information so they hang up on me after saying some very not appropriate things. i have called multiple times only to be treated rudely and hung up on. I have asked for an address, but the address that they gave me does not come up in a search. They continue to call family and harass them. They tell them I have debt that needs taken care of or I will go to jail. If it is legitimate, then they should have documentation to send me. I need this to stop!

Received a voicemail from someone named XXXX XXXX and he claimed to be a process server. He stated that he was going to serve me with summons papers if I did not call the company that filed the complaint. He instructed me to call XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to prevent him from serving me with the summons at my job. He said if I did not answer the summons I would lose my case. He also threatened to contact my employer and inform them that I had a judgment against me and that I would be arrested. This person also left this exact same message on my mother 's voicemail. I attempted to call the number provided but there was no answer. I have received several of these calls since I was notified by XXXX that my information has been compromised.

I have a payday loan that I am paying through the Collection Agency. This other bill Collector comes out of nowhere calling my job, family members and threatening to arrest me if I do n't pay {$800.00} that I am already paying. They said they are Central Mediation Agency. Extremely rude too. After talking to 3 crazy people I finally got one sane person who promised to stop. The following day they started calling again from different numbers. Please help me stop this madness!!

I have asked this company for UPSP stamped letter in the mail to support their claim that I owe them money three times. I contacted Central Media Services to explain that before I would give them payment, I needed written validation to be mailed to me. I also asked for their state collection # and renewal date. They ignored my request, said " good luck '', and hung up. There is no way to contact these people except via phone ( very shaky ). # XXXX/XXXX XXXX , XXXX XXXX .
