XXXX contacted me from a restricted number. Gave a case number and a phone number to call back. She cited she was with the XXXX County Clerks Office in Utah. Upon calling the number back I spoke with XXXX XXXX on multiple occasions. He cited all my personal information to me and told me I owed {$540.00} and wanted me to pay it over the phone or he was going to take me to court. I said I wasn't comfortable with that but I'd mail a certified check after receiving proof the debt was legitimate. He got very angry with me and told me he was refusing my payment and he wouldn't take payment via certified check and he was taking me to court and hung up on me. XXXX cited he work/owned Ross Morgan amd Associates and was an attorney. I have researched the company and there was a business entity listed in California that just registered on XX/XX/2021. There are multiple complaints concerning XXXX calling using scam tactics to collect supposed debts. In any case he is either trying to scam me or by the Extinguishment Of Obligation Law XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX he refused my payment with no just cause. I'd like this investigated. His business is registered in California under Ross Morgan and Associates address is listed as XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX CA. Phone number I was told to call and eventually got a hold of XXXX XXXX. Registered agent listed is XXXX XXXX owner listed as XXXX XXXX.

I received a phone call from my sister saying someone was trying to contact me. I called the number ( XXXX ) they said they are from RM associates and I owe a bill for my child from XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX. The man 's name was XXXX, he said they were going to sue me for {$650.00} but if I paid him right now it would only cost {$320.00}. I said I need to call my XXXX, he said I have XXXX minutes to call him back. I spoke to the hospital that said I didn't have a bill at that time for either my child or myself, my child also is and has been on her XXXX XXXX insurance her entire life, she's XXXX. They knew my social and address.
