Rhode Island housing has not managed or serviced my mortgage in good faith. And has discriminated against me after receiving a federal grant HHF and reestablishing the loan thereafter. I need some help... I'm homeowner in the state of XXXX XXXX since XXXX I was hardest hit during covid-19 being part of XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX and having been a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in many large corporate establishments including XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX over the past XXXX years. Early on in the days of covid-19 I was part of the forbearance program at the end of that program I did have conflict the lender Rhode Island housing to reinstate the loan. They had refused to do so because I was collecting XXXX insurance and we're not considering my income has standard income so they wouldn't remodify loan and told me that I had no other options that I would have to foreclose, and amongst other things had a dispute with the underwriter of the loan back in XXXX. It was eventually modified that loan.. I was very grateful for the Rhode Island covid hhf Federal Grant program and providing relief. I had received a grant Which was in the amount of XXXX XXXXXXXX l 'm very appreciated after being part of those who were hardest hit as Ive have been underemployed. Just before the program had accepted my application and issued the grant funds I was already in the foreclosure potentially in XXXX so to avoid that possibility and, possibility of loosing the garnt I and my XXXX come up with {$8000.00} in order to keep my loan without having to pay the full amount of the loan to Rhode Island housing appox XXXX at that time... I messaged the hhf program many times and they were not very good with responding and to the point where they even withdrew my application but after I put an appeal and stated and attached every one of my XXXX emails following up every month over the course of the year until my application was viewed accepted and the grants funds accepted. With that said they re-established the loan after the grant proceeds were received and applied ( improperly ) my opinion. Which brings me to the first payment beginning this year XXXX. I would assume that you already know what the purpose of the grant was for, and how it should have helped homeowners to get back up to speed with their past due bills and prevent them from slipping into foreclosure. However with the my lender having not adhearing the criteria of the grant and help me as a homeowner pay my past dues, late fees from prior years, bills, liens ect it compounded all finances coming into the household and crippled me before I could even begin to pay the first month mortgage payment. Below I put in bullet points what was not paid, or hurdles I've had from then moving forward and have all the supporting documents stated below to support my claim and position. *Homeowner Insurance *Prior year property taxes *Condominium fees *Condominium Assessments *Late fees from prior year carried over - mortgage *New Mortgage payment more than prior XXXX before the grant was received.first payment {$3100.00} ( prior to this account my mortgage last XXXX years has been {$940.00} which included principal interest and taxes ). The only one that's been hardest to it's been me after they re-establish the loan with the making my first payment I had not a single chance how could somebody do this to me XXXX/ my XXXX/ and roommate ( contributing to months mortgage {$600.00} ) who is XXXX XXXX and dependent on XXXX XXXX rushed rushed to hospital/ XXXX XXXX XXXX I was XXXX XXXX XXXX on my own property Building inspector posted a notice on my door deeming the property inhabitable and can not live there until fixed. Building inspector refused to specify the reasons in order to fix, Building instructor refused to acknowledge past permits. Condominium treasurer filed XXXX order on me. XXXX also shut off the electric, utilities to my unit, we lost all food and myself myself, my XXXX, and his XXXX XXXX XXXX son who resides at my condominium where all put out and made homeless due that violation notice on the door and the fact that the treasure of the condominium complex shut the electric and utilities off. Condominium treasure broke into my unit, violated the inhabitable no entrance violation notice on the door it's still property out of my unit and then rooted on the notice that he stole my property. Condominium treasure made false assessments that now have been accumulating since that day in XXXX. Building instructor refuses to communicate. Foreclosure process begin I was out XXXX different times in the last XXXX years due to XXXX. XXXX refuses to pay these XXXX claims amount approx {$3600.00} XXXX claim for XXXX weeks, early on anybody that had symptoms in the beginning they said stay home XXXX weeks and they pay you full time, I put in the claim with the XXXX department received confirmation emails, and confirmation claim numbers. XXXX claim approximately XXXX weeks the department of health called me at my home and told me because my roommate had just contracted XXXX that I could not return to work, and be in isolation, quarantine and checked out by my doctor before returning. Again I filed the claim online received email confirmation and the claim number. XXXX clean my contracted XXXX and had symptoms throughout XXXX weeks in total I filed online with the XXXX department received a confirmation email and claim number. I received absolutely no funds or payments on these claims at all I disputed it with the apartment XXXX I was getting nowhere called legal services of Rhode Island they put me in contact with an attorney XXXX XXXX went over each claim in detail provider all information emails he forwarded it to the department they come back to him and ask him if it was okay to contact me just to confirm and go over each claim and details separately with a woman I asked how long before I received payment for these XXXX claims she said it just needs to be confirmed by her manager which takes about XXXX or XXXX weeks. payments for none of these XXXX related XXXX situations where paid out to me when I reached out to the attorney he resubmitted all the information and ask them what is the status and their follow-up was the claims don't exist and they have no knowledge what claims numbers these are Assement XXXX XXXX fire Condominium complex because the property management company lead by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX did not properly have the right amount of insurance on the policy, which there are XXXX buildings housing XXXX families each one.In XXXX XXXX of the buildings caught on fire and was a total loss the rebuild was XXXX and only insured XXXX XXXX -meaning shortfall. So as a whole all homeowners had to pay back XXXX XXXX to pay all the contractors to rebuild the building and we had to get a loan to which each and every unit owner has an assessment to pay XXXX They set up an auction on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX on my home no communication ever since from mortgage company or the attorney. Apparently it was sold to the highest bidder no communication letter or anything for me of this information apparently through a third party we're playing I see for it that it didn't go through again no letter no communication nothing at this point I have no idea what's going on they won't communicate with me refuse to communicate me and will not send me any information regards to where I'm at XXXX was put on me for my XXXX, because my XXXX XXXX yielded me XXXX for the year which they sent mail to my home address that I am charged for XXXX on stating that I must reach out to the XXXX XXXX to establish XXXX dates. Obviously I checked my mail like every for the XXXX weeks because of the XXXX order and because my work is XXXX miles away to which I have no car and I've been staying at a employees sofa seeing im homeless. So by the time I got that letter at the place I'm not supposed to be ( my home ) that dated already going and passed which a XXXX can be established No communication after the auction. I have some if I could sell it myself they said no it's sold Home value XXXX, I owe XXXX ( but lien and bogus assessment XXXX ) Just like the conflict of interest my mortgage company , the manager of the hhf grant program, and the default counselor hoping that one person XXXX XXXX Conflict of interest : the property Condominium management company XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and the condominium management XXXX XXXX, and the person that makes all the rules, and those bogus assessments is governed by the XXXX person XXXX XXXX I have no protections, no stance, limited rights, to dispute or challenge with anybody in those XXXX fields. Apparently the law firm said that it's sold. I've received no documents stating that I've received no communication since from the lawyer or the mortgage company. And I know this supposed to. I have to close my back into backpacks and my cat after being just placed out of my home since XX/XX/XXXX with no way to get back in taxes my property I'm concerned that if they did sell the property whether or not getting back to me I'm concerned cuz I can't get my property out of my home because I have a XXXX water issued I'm concerned that if I show up on the property someone will call the police and don't get XXXX XXXX.. and also would be a violation of my XXXX on another matter. I'm afraid losing my home, and now everything in it I don't have the funding to stay where I am pay, pay for food and come up with money to hire an electrician which is what's needed to take the violation off the Property, and when I did the building instructor will not instruct me as to how to make the corrections to make it habitable again The foreclosure process is a conflict of interest : the Mortgage and underwriter of the loan/ grant, default counselor to prevent foreclosure, and the manager of the hhf Federal Grant program in the state of Rhode Island is all the same one person XXXX XXXX the same one person who wouldn't reinstate my mortgage after the forbearance program because I was on XXXX and I had a conflict with Since being in the risk of being in the early stages of foreclosure, and now in foreclosure I have not got a single email text or phone call from XXXX XXXX again the manager of all three entities : federal Manager of the hhf grand program, my mortgage underwriter Rhode Island housing, default counselor. I have not a single email, and or call with logs of both to support that nothing or any kind of communications ever received, given or even attempted. Discrimination : just my opinion or side note but if this is how all the homeowners were left in my position with all these past due payments, late fees, taxes, condo fees etc backup to XXXX and even playing field after receiving this grant and being thousands behind even before my first payment of the new remodified loan then that's fine..but if the lender remodified their loan and paid those payments fees due etc and or followed the federal guidelines of that program as to exactly what could be done and should have been done to help the homeowner from going into foreclosure then I've been wrongfully discriminated from my mortgage lender. I feel so they have not serviced my mortgage and good faith I filed a complaint with the US department of housing and Urban development. And homeowners equality and rights On XX/XX/XXXX my thought is between this complaint and the hhf program itself would have either put off the foreclosure or put it on hold until it could have been properly investigated. I sent all information communicated with them and XXXX weeks later on XX/XX/XXXX they sent me an email back stating that there's nothing that they could do to help me it's not in their jurisdiction. I also was in communication on XX/XX/XXXX with somebody in the department of housing of Ri, not to be confused with my mortgage company Rhode Island housing it's a different entity. Needed my acknowledgment to look into my mortgage/loan and said after my recap of the entire situation that there might be a small chance that there was something overlooked to protect me or my mortgage and that they could help me. But then the following week they got back to me and said they couldn't. One on One conference : I think it's a homeowners right/act but if we're near foreclosure you're going to have a face-to-face conversation to discuss all options to avoid foreclosure Assessments from the condo association tallying over XXXX Please note none of these issues that have daily assessments attached to them or complaints or noted by the building instructor. They were all made and created by the treasurer of the condominium XXXX / property manager XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX who is not licensed in any fields of building inspections, electrical, contractor, to support any of these claims even if they were realistic. They include the following : *Not having a providing homeowners insurance policy ( That one I'm okay with I can't afford it and I understand the penalty ) * Having biohazard and hazardous materials on my property ( the oxygen tanks and cylinders they're considering biohazards and won't allow them, preventing my XXXX to live there ) *Nonstructural walls placed in the unit to create a XXXX bedroom ( false accusation, paneling board leaned against the back of my desk, non anchored even ) *Making structural changes ( false accusation ) *Electrician not having permit ( false accusation ) *Having too many tenants ( false accusation ) Supposedly the auction winner was supposed to close XXXX weeks ago, when I followed up pick up postponed they would not tell me what date has been postponed until, will not communicate any further, as to the proceeds being returned to me after the sale. Follow up as to the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX office left a voicemail while not going today I left the messages to why I happened pulled a permit for work to be done at my residence and that the matter will be sent to court. My reply as always to them is the following, to having sent it in email form : I received voicemail from XXXX in regards to pulling or establishing a permit for my property at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX for work that need to be done however I have already reached out to here and spoken about this matter and a permit was pulled years ago I let her know that I had already applied for XXXX prior to and provided her with the contractor 's name phone number, company name, contractor phone number and to how much I ade out a check for and paid for the permit and provided her with the information as to where I went to purchase that permit. I informed her that I had went to the XXXX XXXX building on the XXXX floor at the window on the right side as you go up the first staircase. I also concluded that I posted that permit on the slider up until the point a year after that it was so faded from the sunlight that you couldn't even read it so I disposed of it and no building instructor or anybody had ever followed up call, sent email, mail, or voicemail in regards to work being, or work done pertaining to that permit. I also stated since then the contractor didn't finish the work ost of it yes but not all, I also mentioned to her the permit although being over XXXX XXXX XXXX doing exactly remember what I wrote as far as the criteria of the work being done back then of that permit but I did mention the including walls, moldings, doors, light fixture, some electrical as for now the contractor has since died and the company no longer exists.As far as had I received notice from the building on this matter yes, and as for not pulling a permit that was false information and I did try to inform him on that the day XX/XX/XXXX but he simply did not allow me to answer him as his tone was aggressive and combative when trying to answer for any problem or work that need to be done I couldn't get a word in, and as he ranted on about the appliances being near the slider door of my unit which I mentioned that they were to be put into a storage unit seeing how you just purchase them allthat 's the reason why they're in that position and I would certainly remove those for him and complaining about the XXXX batteries in my electric moped I said no problem if it's such a big deal being in the kitchen then I'll remove it, so I then removed it immediately as the XXXX open the door for me and as I continued to remove it from the property at that point out of respect I went down the street because I didn't want to say something that I regret and needed to clear my head and when I returned and hour or so later I received the inhabitable violation notice. I had reached out to the office regarding that I tried to tell the inspector that i had previously a contractor and the permit I pulled previously.I also wanted to know if I should write for an appeal in regards to the letter I received in the mail stating I didn't pull a permit for that work.XXXX at the office mentioned no it wouldn't help or it wouldn't matter so at that point I'm assuming the building instructor was wrong in suggestion that I didn't pull a permit for previous work done and that would be squashed. As far as if any permit for work needs to be done as I had already reached out and indicated to the department that it is not clear as to what is need to be done in the unit as I requested previously, please provide me with the exact electrical issue needed so the appropriate work done and permit pulled however they falil to tell me exactly what work to be done.You 'll see in the attachments first payment if they reestablish the loan XXXX owing {$3.00}, by XXXX they added money and since escrow up to {$2000.00} ... help... I'm homeowner in the state of XXXXXXXX XXXX since XXXX I was hardest hit during XXXX being a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX.. I was very grateful for the Rhode Island covid relief fund HAV program grant I XX/XX/XXXX payment stub due after the re-established federal grant was received by Rhode Island housing so nicely again remind you they are the Manager of the entire State program ( keep in mind the person that manages this is XXXX XXXX ) for issuing and distributing all the funds for the entire State of Rhode Island to those who received these hhf grants. And he is also the underwriter of my entire loan at RI Housing not XXXX XXXX he is below XXXX XXXX, I only know this because at one point and a brief conversation with XXXX XXXX in past years ago he had to get back to me because he needed approval from his boss / underwriter of the loan which he mentioned was XXXX XXXX. As well as the only person that dealt with default counseling at the office as I had prior to received a business card from one of the the employees XXXX XXXX his title is default counselor which I was excited to see because of somebody different he left his card on my slider within the year after reaching out to him by email he replied back with not helping me and forwarding me XXXX XXXX cell number contact information and forwarded my reply email to him directly. So in Short XXXX person handles everything XXXX XXXX Rhode Island state hhf Grant funds Rhode Island Housing underwriter/approval all loans Rhode Island housings Default counselor He barks all orders, he fails to communicate ( as I see even XXXX current homeowners have pending trial/cases with his named clearly mentioned in them stating he doesn't communicate with them either ) or respond to any emails, and has never once reached out to me whether by email standard mail or email to help me from going into foreclosure or council me with any options. And have had a prior altercation with him in the past year and after proving him wrong in a prior modification after the forbearance program I hurt his pride he's very arrogant, talks very aggressively on the phone, and lied to me on something very important in a prior situation then accuse me that I didn't know what I was talking about. And when I told him that he had to get back to XXXX XXXX in regards to what he had accused me of knowing, he realized after communicating with XXXX XXXX he was wrong and I was right never heard from him since.

On XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with XXXX XXXX at Rhode Island Housing to inquire about the status of our mortgage forbearance due to covid related wage losses. XXXX advised that we were still within our 12 months of forbearance and that our payments were not required for XXXX, XXXX, or XXXX. She sent me an email that day detailing some programs that may become available should we still need assistance after XXXX, and we said that we would speak again in early XXXX to discuss further. On XX/XX/XXXX I received notifications from the 3 credit reporting agencies that I had a 30-day late payment for my mortgage through RI Housing XXXX I immediately called XXXX and asked if this was an error and offered to provide the XXXX payment instead of continuing with the forbearance as I had no negative information on my credit up until this point. XXXX advised this was not necessary and that the credit reporting would be corrected but that they were not showing any inaccuracies on their end. I followed up again on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX with " proof '' of this reporting coming from all of the credit bureaus including screen shots. I had started to receive certified letters from RIH stating that I was at risk of foreclosure, but then upon speaking with supervisor, XXXX XXXX, and Manager Loan Servicing Risk Representative, XXXX XXXX, I was assured that either my account was reported correctly ( in good standing ) or that I would need to wait several weeks for this to appear on my reporting but not to worry as I was in no way at risk of foreclosure. I again followed up with XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX to check in and advise that my credit had continued to plummet as I now show as 60 days late. Several of my credit cards had seen this inaccurate information and began to lower my credit allowances which again continued to drop my scores. XXXX responded with " We have corrected the late payment reporting for XX/XX/XXXX as current. Typically, the credit bureaus take 30-60 days ( sometimes sooner ) to update corrections submitted. '' My credit continued to crumble throughout the weeks and thus I followed up with XXXX again on XX/XX/XXXX to ask if there was anything else at all that could be done in the meantime. I advised that I had disputed these inaccuracies 3x directly through the credit bureaus and that they were coming back as " declined, information verified as correct. '' XXXX stated that a third-party vendor handled any disputes but that she would look into this. On XX/XX/XXXX I engaged XXXX XXXX for assistance with this matter. Within hours I began receiving alerts that the late payments had been removed and my score started to recover, ( although this will have no impact on the creditors that have lowered limits causing my usage to skyrocket ). On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX received a call from a representative at RIH who advised that our account needed an additional {$500.00} to be brought current. I inquired how this was possible given that we made an " extra '' payment in XXXX of {$1100.00} ( this was not required ), and our XXXX payment was made in full and delivered on XX/XX/XXXX. I began to explain all of the trouble we had with this in the past and offered to make the payment if necessary to avoid any additional credit related issues, but the representative refused and said they would need to look into this and " call me right back. '' I did not receive a call back and on XX/XX/XXXX I received notification from multiple credit bureaus that my account is now 60-90 days delinquent. This is all but impossible given that I have only truly " missed '' XXXX and XXXX when we were in a protected forbearance. I called and left XXXX XXXX another voicemail and I also sent a detailed email. At this point I will be seeking legal action as my credit score and reports have been extremely damaged by unfair and inaccurate reporting.

This complaint is against our mortgage lender, Rhode Island Housing for refusing to report payments accurately to credit bureaus. We filed Chapter XXXX Personal Bankruptcy in XX/XX/XXXX. We were 2-3 monthly payments behind on our mortgage ( established XX/XX/XXXX ), which our lawyer said could be included in the bankruptcy, so we could start with clean slate on our mortage the following month. We began immediately getting calls and mail about foreclosure due to delinquency from RI Housing. We worked that year to pay in full the additional three payments that were behind ( and majority of late payments ), while also paying our regular monthly amounts ( {$1100.00} ). We have additional loan of {$34.00} per month with RI Housing for initial down payment amount that we have paid as well. Since that time, we have kept current with our mortgage payments ( 6.5 total years of making payments ). We requested our three credit reports last year after being initially denied a used car loan. We discovered that on two of the major bureau reports ( XXXX and XXXX ), our mortgage is listed as discharged under the XXXX Bankruptcy and closed with no further payments made. The third one does list payments being made. I initiated an investigation with both bureaus to check with Rhode Island Housing to verify the account status is still open, current and payments have been made since XXXX XXXX bankruptcy filing. Both bureaus reported back that RI Housing did not verify payments and stated that the credit reports are accurate as they stand. I then called RI Housing and talked to a gentleman who stated that since our attorney did not file a mortgage affirmation document, they do not have to report payments, as it is considered a bankruptcy. I asked him then if that meant that we did not have to make payments all these years as we have done. He told me that of course we had to make payments, or they would foreclose on us. I later wrote to RI Housing to ask what we needed to do to reaffirm our mortgage, if there was a form that we needed to provide. I was told to talk to a lawyer. After doing research and seeking legal advice, I found that a loan affirmation isn't possible so many years after bankruptcy, and that it is not recommended. I also found that it is against the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act for a business or lender to withhold information or not accurately report if you are making payments. We have made every single required payment on our mortgage now for almost seven ( 7 ) years. While our personal bankruptcy did negatively impact our credit score and report, we feel that the current status of showing that our entire mortgage debt was discharged and now closed with no further payments has a huge impact on our credit rating. A mortgage is usually the highest monthly payments people make in their lifetime, and we would like credit for making these payments and keeping current with our mortgage. We feel that by refusing to accurately report our payments, Rhode Island Mortgage is not adhering to fair credit reporting practices. We have tried to rectify this situation on our own by contacting the credit reporting bureaus, Rhode Island Housing several times, and by seeking legal advice. We are asking for assistance in having RI Housing accurately report our payments.

XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX holds our mortgage. XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) services our mortgage. We have never been late on a mortgage payment. Previously, our mortgage was serviced by XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX. In late XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, formerly XXXX XXXX XXXX, was created to service mortgages for XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX. Subsequently, our mortgage was transferred over to XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. We have a mailing address that is different from the address of our home, which we have the mortgage on. XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX had both our mailing and home addresses and communicated this information along with a property tax bill to XXXX during the transfer. We have supporting documentation and a letter from XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX regarding this fact. XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX never failed to pay our property taxes during their servicing of our mortgage. XXXX failed to pay our property taxes for 1 year and 3 months. In XX/XX/XXXX XXXX sent our property tax payment to the town associated with our mailing address. The town returned the payment to XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX because the payment did not apply to a property in that town. XXXX never attempted to research why the payment was returned. We were never contact my XXXX XXXX XXXX in regards to their in ability to apply the escrow funds we were paying to our property taxes. When filing our XXXX tax returns we then realized that our property taxes had not been paid in over a year. In XX/XX/XXXX we contacted XXXX to find out why our property taxes had not been paid. It was then that we realized that they believed that our mailing address was also our home address. We asked that they submit payment to the correct town ASAP and we were told that they would update their records and submit payment. We contacted our town on XX/XX/XXXX to see if payment had been received and it had not. We contacted XXXX again on XX/XX/XXXX to ask them again to pay our property taxes. We were only able to leave a message with their escrow department. We then contact XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) to ask for their assistance. An associate at XXXX contacted the XXXX escrow department and our property taxes were finally paid on XX/XX/XXXX. At this point they were in arrears by 5 quarterly payments ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX & XX/XX/XXXX ). The late payment of our property taxes resulted in {$200.00} in liens and fees. XXXX paid the liens and fees with money from our escrow account. As the servicer of our escrow account they are required by federal law to make our property tax payments. XXXX failed to pay our property taxes for over a year and is liable for any liens and fees incurred due to their negligence. We would like the {$200.00} in liens and fees returned to our escrow account. While this may seem like a small amount of money it is significant enough to us and is money that we are unjustly being held liable for.

We requested to have our Mortgage Insurance Premium ( MIP ) removed from the FHA loan on our condo in XXXX XXXX , RI in the first week of XXXX XXXX . The loan was originally signed in XXXX XXXX . Once we received confirmation over the phone, we sent in checks to the amount of {$7200.00} as requested to reach the 78 % required to have the MIP cancelled. The first response from RI housing we received after that was on XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX , the Customer Service Escrow Supervisor. She stated in an email that the MI could not be removed at that time, but gave no explanation why. After multiple requests by phone and email to schedule an appointment, XXXX sent an email on XXXX XXXX saying that the risk manager would be sending us a letter. Multiple times we conveyed our confusion to the response, as the regulations we had found confirmed our ability to cancel the MIP at our request once we met the standard guidelines. On XXXX XXXX , Risk Manager XXXX XXXX sent a letter saying that the MIP would not be cancelled and did n't answer our questions regarding 12 USC 4209 ; the federal guidelines toward cancelling MIP at the request of the borrower. On XXXX XXXX we received a letter stating that we were defaulting on our mortgage due to lack of payment. This is objectively false, and due to the unnecessary delays by the office our payments were never documented. We have saved the email correspondence, have our bank statements, and will be counting all the phone calls we tried to reach R I Housing wit h. We stopped calling XXXX 's office because our calls were never answered. We tried different phones within the office and asked to be connected in order to get through. We asked for what is rightly ours by the federal laws that protect borrowers. We have met all the criteria to have our premiums cancelled. The premiums RI housing continued to collect 30 days after our initial request should also be refunded to us as the borrower ( which is protected by federal law ). The letter stating default on the mortgage needs to be removed from record as it 's false and destructive for our credit. The office 's inability to offer an adequate customer service needs to be documented and has been proven to be detrimental to the clients they claim to serve.

I can prove that XXXX XXXX lied about my intentions in getting out of my Chapter XXXX bankruptcy so that I could sell my rental house and catch up with what I owed them. I have a copy of an email correspondence with their attorney. They also adjusted my statement after my first complaint and applied the two payments from XXXX but never wrote adjusted or corrected or anything of that sort on the mortgage. ( They do this all the time, the numbers just move around ) XXXX XXXX 's narrative may sound good, but it is not true. He lies. He say 's he never talked to my attorney and I did not tell them what was going on but that is not true and I can prove it. I told them I was getting out of the Chapter XXXX so that I could sell the house and catch up with what I owed them. I had to explain that to the judge in order to have the case dismissed and then file chapter XXXX on the other bills. I had to go to court and explain in a court of law why I kept filing chapter XXXX so I could save the houses until I could sell the rental and catch up with the house I live in. I have been sick. I have had XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX What is his excuse? He doesn't mention that when I ended the Chapter XXXX I paid them nearly {$40.00}, XXXX to catch up on the mortgage, I fixed up this house and started a business from home so I could continue to pay my mortgage. He is purposely trying to make it so I do not qualify for the help available to people who were effected by the Corona Virus. But I have all the email correspondence with his attorneys, including the one where I told them I wanted to reinstate the Mortgage. XXXX XXXX claims he never spoke to my attorney, but my attorney has notes on the phone call and has NEVER lied to me or spoken harshly to me, while XXXX XXXX has been speaking harshly to me since my partner who happens to be women, was diagnosed with XXXX XXXX XXXX. Perhaps I should be retaining a civil attorney in this matter! He has made this personal and has colored the truth to make his narrative look good.

RI Mortgage Housing purchased my loan shortly after the company 's recent incorporation. Communication was a nightmare. Getting my automatic payment setup was time-consuming and required multiple phone calls and mistakes were repeatedly made with my escrow. Fast forward to a month ago. I needed to change the account my payment was drafted from. I called an agent, but they wouldn't take the new account information. They explained I had to use the web platform. I attempted to use the web platform, and it would not work. I called back and they said the server was down and it would take a day or two. I was suspicious because of the nature of the error, but I tried repeatedly anyway. The web platform still did not work. In hindsight, the rep lied to me about the nature of the error. I called again, had to wait on extended holds, and finally talked with a supervisor on XX/XX/XXXX. He said we would have to have a paper form signed and emailed to change the account. I filled out the form and sent it in as an attachment. The supervisor said he couldn't draft from my new checking account unless he had a canceled check. I don't use checks for that account. We argued, I told him he needed to accept the new account information. He said okay and said he would reach out if he needed anything else. No surprise, a month later I get a collection notice, and a bill for late fees. After waiting on hold and talking to 2 reps and a supervisor, she took responsibility for a scrivener error when transposing the account number. She said she would reverse the fees. While that was a positive development in the saga, my experience with RI Housing suggests I may not be done with the issue. Handling the simplest of tasks with RI Housing has been a nightmare since they purchased my home loan. I should have to spend hours and hours on the phone just to make a payment or ensure my escrow is taken care of properly.

I opened a XXXX FHA loan with Rhode Island Housing in XXXX for my primary residence. When I opened the the loan, Private Mortgage Insurance ( PMI ) was added and I was told by the loan officer that I could remove PMI once my home had enough equity vs. the loan amount and I could show a good payment history. In XX/XX/XXXX, I proceeded to send a letter to Rhode Island Housing asking if PMI could be remove since the value of the house at the time was approximately 230k and I only owned XXXX. I received a response stating that 1 ) PMI could only be remove once the loan to value ratio equal 80 % of the original loan amount with proof of the no decline in the property value and 2 ) 24 months of satisfactory payment history. Further, the letter indicated that to satisfy the 1st requirement, my loan balance had to be reduce to {$100000.00}. Based on this information ( despite what i was told initially ), I made it a habit to pay a little extra each month so it could be applied towards principal. In XX/XX/XXXX, several payments towards principal were made and I was finally able reduce the loan balance below 102k. I than reached out to Rhode Island Housing on XX/XX/XXXX and again requested that they remove PMI from the loan and received confirmation that my request was received and would be forwarded to a manager to review. After weeks of waiting and waiting and following up with them, I finally received a response via mail on XX/XX/XXXX stating that my request was denied due to " Investors Guidelines ( XXXX ) '' which I have no idea what that means and why they are making this process so complicated? This has been a terrible experience and I request that the PMI that was charged since my request was submitted to be refunded back to me and for the PMI to be remove on the loan immediately. Further, I request all information in writing in the event that I need to pursue this through an attorney.

Back in XX/XX/XXXX, my account, which is shared with my husband, had one last payment on a zero APR promissory note provided by RI Housing. The account was set up to draw out {$95.00} a month for autopay from my checking account. There was a {$25.00} balance left on the account, which the {$95.00} would have covered the last payment. Due to the last payment, RIHousing turned off the autopay and did not make us aware of this fact. We received our past due statement after the due date of the following month. It two months and numerous calls for them to figure out that it was their fault and me threatening to contact the CFPB. They stated they would fix our credit reporting and could only accept check due to their bank error. They fixed two of the three major bureaus ( not sure about the 4th one, because we are unable to see that in our annual free credit report ). We are showing a 30 day past due on XXXX reporting. We need this to be fixed. I contacted them again on XX/XX/XXXX, because I was made aware that we have a derogatory mark from them. This has been effecting our credit this whole year and it was their fault, which they agreed and stated would correct, and now knowing has given us lower scores and higher rates. I called again on XX/XX/XXXX, and was told that they are closed to the end of the month, except for one guy and the receptionist. I left another message for XXXX XXXX. This needs to be fixed by them and asap. This should have been taken care of a year ago. There is no reason why they shouldn't have fixed all three credit bureaus and is unacceptable.

I currently have two mortgage loans on my property and Im paying interest on both loans. We asked for help about six years ago from XXXX XXXX XXXX and instead of helping us at the end of the reduction in mortgage payment the gave us two loans that we have to pay monthly and interest in both loans. Myself and husband were under the impression that when reduction period was over we would just have years tacked back in our original mortgage, this is not so and I feel like the company is double dipping and we are suffering because of it.
